So here we are at the end of this journey together. You can fly free now, free from the cage of her brainwashing and her lies. Think of a bird released from a cage. That’s you, that bird flying free.
I am more honoured than I can explain that you have allowed me to be your guide for this time that we have spent together. This stage of the journey might now be ending but you are now beginning another wonderful journey – to discovering your true self and to living the life that you deserve to live. You are free now. I send you my best wishes for the rest of your journey.
I do invite you to remember that you are not broken and in need of fixing, despite what she said. You are wounded and in need of healing, that is all. There is no shame in that.
And remember too that you are not crazy. Your perceptions are valid and true. Trust yourself. I know that’s a big step, and it’s a skill you need to learn, but it’s a very worthy goal.
Know too that you are stronger than you yet realise. Your mother tried to make you weak, but while she may have hidden your strength from you, she could not destroy it. Your strength remains to be discovered and used and celebrated.
Again, all the very best on your journey. Welcome to your future. (And to help you with that future, check out the resources on the next page.)
