Ready
for a second round?” He asked smiling.

I wasn't;
I was still out of breath but I didn't complain when he started
tormenting my body again making me reach heights that seemed
non-ending. The tensions continued to build and build until we both
reached climax. He groaned and grabbed my arms and withdrew hurriedly
before burying his face in my stomach...

“
David...”

“
I w
ish
I didn't have to stop but we've got no protection,” he said
without breath.. Sweat was dripping down from his forehead. I looked
for a moment in his beautiful eyes ..

“
Well,
sooner or later Kylie has to have a  brother or sister right?”
I said caressing his face. He looked astonished at me for a moment
then he smiled.

“
Yes
and very soon. There's nothing I wish for more.” he said laying
down next to me.

“
I
wish that too David but there are many other things we have to do
first. Like solving the problems with Claire and maybe getting
married. I want to marry you.”

He
smiled.

“
Yes
Cassidy we will.” 

I turned
around and grabbed his hand.

“
I
don't want to wait David. Let's marry now, this week or next month. I
love you. Why wait?”

All of a sudden his face
saddened. What was wrong, what did I say? He pulled me in his arms
and hugged me.

love you too Cassidy.”

CHAPTER 38

The next day when I woke up,
I was still hugged to David's body. He was still asleep. I looked at
my man and smiled. I felt so happy. I buried my face in his chest and
inhaled his smell. I wished I could stay like that forever. A moment
later he opened his eyes and looked at me.

“
Good
morning sweetheart.” He said with a smile before giving me a
good morning kiss.

“
Good
morning David.” I replied.

“
Slept
well?” He asked.

“
Like
a baby. Oh, David this has been the most amazing night of my life.”

“
There
will be others I promise.” He said caressing my hair. “What
time is it?”

I looked at the clock.

“
Nearly
eight.”

“
Oh,
then we have to go down for breakfast.”

I looked stunned at him.

“
You
said we?”

“
Sure,
we. You and me.”

“
David,
there will be Claire.” I said worriedly.

He frowned. “So?”

“
She
will see me with you. She'll call Ms Jacobs and...”

“
And
what? I don't care Cassidy. You'll come down with me. I won't hide
anymore. If she wants to report me then she can do so. Let's go and
take a shower and then we'll go downstairs.”

I wasn't convinced that this
was the right thing to do. Claire wasn't going to take this well. I
was terrified, but David seemed relaxed. He stood up and grabbed me
in his arms.

“
David
what are you doing?”

“
Take
you in the shower with me. I love you Cassidy. I love you so much and
now that you're mine the rest can go to hell.”

He lifted me up and carried
me to the bathroom. He put me down in the shower and stepped inside
with me. He washed me and while the water came down on us he began to
kiss me, and we made love again. I kissed him back with fervor and
this time our love making was even more passionate. I couldn't have
enough of this man.

Half an hour later I was
holding his arm while we walked towards the lift. I felt so nervous.
We were going towards our fate. I clutched his arm; he looked down at
me.

“
Relax
and don't worry leave everything to me.”

I nodded, but I couldn't
stop worrying. When we arrived at the restaurant, I looked around.
Claire was not there. I felt better. We sat down at a table in the
corner.

“
Are
you hungry?” he asked.

“
Yes
actually I am.”

He smiled “Good,they
have excellent food here.”

Just at that moment I looked
towards the door and probably I had turned pale as David looked at me
worriedly.

“
What's
wrong Cassidy?”

“
She's
here,” I whispered. I felt my stomach aching. “And she's
looking this way." My heart had accelerated reaching maximum
speed. David squeezed my hand in his.

“
Stay
calm and let me speak,” he said. I saw her looking at us
stunned; I saw rage crossing her face as she walked in an angry gait
towards us...

“
Good
morning Claire.” David said calmly. He seemed so calm while I
was almost going to faint.

“
What
the hell is she doing here?” She asked angrily.

“
She's
my girlfriend; her place is here with me. Erm Claire if you want to
take a better photo of us just tell me. I'll stand up and kiss her
for you.” He said with sarcasm. I looked stunned at him. Was he
getting mad? Her mouth dropped.

“
Oh
my God.. I can't believe this.”

“
Listen,
I won't hide anymore so if you want to report me just do it. I love
her you have to accept that.”

Her eyes filled with tears;
she seemed shattered. I had never seen her like that.

“
You'll
pay for this in either way you will.” She shouted before
bursting into tears.

“
David.”

He looked at me and...

“
Give
me a second Cassidy. I'll be right back.”

He stood up and grabbed
Claire from the shoulder taking her away.

David's
POV

I know I'm risking, but
nothing matters anymore. Claire will probably report me, and I'll
have to say farewell to my job and probably I won't be able to
continue teaching, but it will be worth it. I never saw Claire like
this; she's devastated, I almost feel sorry for her.

“
You...
you lied to me.” She sobbed as soon as we were out of the
restaurant.

“
Lied
to you? When? I have always been honest, I always told you I was in
love with someone else. I always told you to forget me.” I
retorted.

“
No..
you said you only loved one woman in your life. Your daughter's mum.”
She cried.

“
Exactly
and I wasn't lying.”

She looked stunned at me.

What
do you mean?”

“
You
haven't understood yet. Cassidy is my daughter's mum.”

Her jaw dropped, her tears
increased and for a moment she stood looking at me in shock.

“
You
and Cassidy have a daughter?” She asked in disbelief.

“
Yes
we do.”

She leaned against the wall
and shook her head. Her hand covering her mouth.

“
But
why did she never tell me?”

“
Why
should she have told you? It's none of your business. I'm just your
teacher; my private life shouldn't be of your interest.” I said
harshly.

“
Yes
but... if I knew. Then things would have been different.”

“
Different?”

“
Yes..
I.. wouldn't have gone in so much trouble because of you. I love you;
this doesn't mean anything to you? I fell in love with you my God.”

“
Listen
I'm sorry. I know how it is to have a broken heart, but Claire you
can't force anyone to love you. No matter how hard you try.” I
said hoping that finally she had understood.

She nodded and kept crying.

“
You'll
forget me. Leave Cassidy alone, please. Grow up. Claire you can't
command everyone and everything. Sometimes you win, sometimes you
lose. I love her, and I will always do.”

“
I
hate her... she has everything she...”

“
Stop
it Claire. Listen I won't stop you if you want to report me. Do as
you wish. But if you really love me as you say you do, then you won't
do it. Love also means this, suffering to see the person you love
happy even if with someone else. The choice is in your hands.”
Saying that I left her there, crying and sobbing.

Cassidy's
POV

How I wish to know what he's
telling her. I'm so scared. I know she won't accept to be defeated
like this. She will make me pay for this I'm sure.

“
Cassidy.”

I looked up at him; his hand
rested on my shoulder. My stomach was contracting, I really felt
anxious. I had to exhale before I managed to say something.

“
David.Is
everything OK?”

“
It
will don't worry. Now let's eat I'm really hungry this morning.”

He sat down, and the waiter
brought us our breakfast. We ate in silence. I kept looking at the
door and at David. The food was good, but I couldn't eat anything.

“
Cassidy
stop worrying. Please eat something.”

“
OK,
I'll try,”

“
We
have a whole day on our own. Today I don't have to be the chaperon of
Claire and Malcolm. I have just to make sure that they get back home
tonight, so we can go anywhere you want. We'll pass a beautiful day
together. Let's not ruin it because of her. Cassidy look at me.”

I did. His beautiful deep
blue eyes managed to calm me.

“
Tomorrow
morning I'll talk to Ms Jacobs OK, I'll explain the situation, that
we knew each other before and everything. Then we'll see from there.
I don't think she will report me, maybe she will ask me to resign but
I'm sure it will be all right.” He said softly caressing my
face.

“
You
think?”

“
Yes
sweetheart I'm sure. And if things don't go that way, well I can
always be a full time musician.” His hand grabbed mine. “I
love you and I promise that we shall be happy. You know Kylie will be
over the moon when she'll see us together. Cassidy why don't you come
and live with me?”

“
Live
with you?”

“
Yes.
I don't want you to be far from me. Not anymore. I want to sleep with
you, in my arms like this night. I want to wake up having you near
me. I want to eat with you, to talk and to shower together like this
morning. We'll be a family.”

My face brightened.

“
Yes
David.”

“
Great...”

After breakfast, we went
out. We walked in the streets of Santa Rosa. There were amazing parks
everywhere. It felt so nice just to walk hand in hand with him. Like
two lovers. Glancing at him, smiling at him, looking into his eyes
and feeling loved. It was such a beautiful feeling I had inside. I
felt happy, I felt complete. We went to the local cinema. I chose an
old love story movie. We went inside and chose a seat at the back. We
sat down, and the film began. I only managed to watch the first ten
minutes. After that, I was too lost in David's arms. We kept kissing
throughout all the film like two teenagers who had just discovered
love. There were an elderly couple who kept throwing us bad looks and
in the end they said that we should have gone and did those things in
private. I giggle, and David laughed.
