Oh
Yeah.”

I
felt a strange feeling meeting him again but it wasn't as bad as I
expected. He looked strangely at me and at David initially. It felt
odd and for a moment I had felt lost. It was as if the past had
returned, all the memories had came back haunting us but then
everything went OK. We're mature adults. And well I had David with
me, with him I feel OK wherever I am. I'm glad life gave Tyler and I
a second chance. Now we are both happy. Lexie is expecting their
second baby. We chatted normally, and David and him seemed to go
along well which is good since there will be other times when we'll
have to meet.”

That's
great; I'm happy for Tyler. You know I never told you this but when
you had told me that you were divorcing from him, I had thought you
were out of your mind. I was sure you were doing the biggest mistake
of your life but now I know that I was wrong. You've never been
happier. During these past six years you've changed so much, you're
always laughing. I have never seen you sad.”

I smiled at her.

I
guess that's the effect of love.”

Saying this, I looked at my
husband again. He was playing football with Logan and the kids. Lucy
was right; life was perfect, there was nothing I wanted more. I was
married to the man I loved; we had two beautiful kids, with the third
arriving soon, we had a nice house and I was the interior designer I
always wanted to become although for now I was on break. I tried to
stand up again and with some effort I managed.

Where
are you going?” Lucy asked.

Oh,
just to get something from the kitchen.”

I walked passed the door and
went inside. I was pouring some more juice when I felt two arms
grabbing me from behind. I closed my eyes and and enjoyed his
embrace.

Hello
baby,” I told him turning around to kiss him.

Are
you all right? I saw you getting inside,” he asked concerned.

Oh,
yes David I'm fine. Just getting bigger each day. I can't wait for
Kieran to be born so that I can get back  in shape again.”

I had put so much weight
this time.

Oh
honey you're beautiful,” he said caressing my face.

No,
I'm not.. I feel like a whale.” I grumbled.

Oh,
then you're a very sexy whale,” he said laughing. “So
sexy that if we didn't have visitors I would take you upstairs.”

I gave him a sexy gaze and
smiled..

Would
you?”

Don't
tempt me,” he said kissing my nose.

I smiled and put my arms
around his neck.

Well,
I guess Lucy and Logan will manage a few minutes alone with the
kids.”

He smirked at me and kissed
my lips.

David.”

 “
What?”

You
know that I love you.”

Yes
sweetheart I know but I love you more.”

I shook my head and was
going to protest when his mouth came down on mine. We kissed and
embraced .

"Cassidy," he
whispered in my ear.

"Hm, what?"

"Let's go upstairs."

I smiled at him and kissed
him again. I looked at the man I had chosen to honor and love, and I
knew that this time it will last forever.
