Hand out copies of reproducible, “Angle Instruction Sheet.” This sheet details what students are to do. Explain that the sheet has two parts. Part I requires students to decompose the angles as in the example above. Part II requires students to write an equation for each item and find missing angle measurements that are based on descriptions. Students are to complete Parts I and II.

Closure

Discuss your students' answers. Note that angles can often be decomposed in various ways. Ask students to summarize the steps for finding missing angle measurements.
