     Angyl was coming out of the Dr's office, she had a feeling she was pregnant, and decided to get a pregnancy test. But because of what she was now, it was going to take the Dr a couple of days to figure it all out. Since it was going to take a couple days, Angyl had decided to set up a day to come back with Ace, Abby, and her son to hear the results. Angyl was almost back into her room when she heard Abby call her name.

     “Angyl, do you have a white gown?” Abby asked her.

     “No. Why?”

     “In the mating ritual we use white, it symbolizes the moon and stars so the women wear white.”

     “Oh. So what do the men wear?”

     “They wear black suits with black undershirts because it symbolizes the night.”

     “So it's like a wedding in the human world?”

     “Yes, kinda.” Abby said. “Actually humans saw our ancestors, once doing this and they kinda took the idea, luckily for us they didn't understand everything.”

     “What do you mean kinda? Wow that is so cool that your ancestors started a trend with the humans.” Angyl said smiling at the picture she got in her head.

     “I mean, yes you wear the clothes in the beginning, then after the council says, the well for a lack of a better word the vows, you both accept by baring your selves to each other.”

     “Baring ourselves?”

     “It means you will take off your clothes.” Abby said exasperated.

     “In front of everyone!?”

     “Yes. Once you both are naked you will get a tattoo marking you guys as mated royalty, the council will pick this mark and then tattoos it to your skin.
”

     “Vamps can get tattoos?”

     “Yes, but the only tattoos that are allowed are the tattoos of your standing, it's usually a mix of the parents before you, then what they feel represents you.”

     “So... um.... I have tattoos already”

     “Oh.”

     “So how is that going to work?”

     “I don’t know.”

     “Great so now I could have messed everything up.” Angyl said agitated.

     “Not necessarily. Are any of-your tattoos over your heart?”

     “No.”

     “Then you should be fine, because that is where they mark you.”

Ok
that makes me feel a little better.” Angyl said feeling relieved.

     “So I guess we need to go get you a white gown.”

     “When?”

     “Well now, seriously we need to go while we have time to make any alterations on it while we can.”

     “Good point. What about Nathan?”

     “Have Ace watch him” Abby said nonchalantly.

     “What if he's busy?”

     “Trust me he will still watch him.” Abby said smiling. “Besides it will get him used to being Nathans dad.”

, so where are we going to get the dress at?”

     “Well you know how Ace told you every woman has their gifts?”

     “Yes.”

     “Well we have the someone who can manage to make whatever dress you want without you asking for it and it appears right before your eyes in a matter of seconds, only problem, is that sometimes it needs some slight alterations.”

     “How does she get it to appear outta thin air? Does she take it from another store magically?”

     “She pictures making it in her head, then once it is made in her head she can project it out into the real world, no she doesn't steal them, for all intents and purposes she makes them by hand. She can also read your mind which is how she can make the dress for you without you asking for it.

    “Ok, we will go.” Angyl said.

     “That is so cool. I wonder what powers I will have if any.”

     “You will figure out your powers when you have been one of us for at least 2 months.” Abby said as they were walking to go catch Ace.

     Angyl and Abby knocked on Ace's door with Nathan holding onto his mommy’s hand.

     “Come in.”

     “Hi bro, whatcha up to?”

      “Hi Abby, it's always nice to see you, I was in the middle of working on some paperwork before my meeting gets here. What did you need?”

     “We can...” Angyl started to say when Nathan let go of her hand and ran to Ace and Abby cut in.

     “We need you to watch Nathan for us so we can go get her the white gown that she needs for the mating ceremony that’s coming up soon.”

      “I can do that for you guys. When are you two needing to leave?”

     “We would like to leave now.” Abby said.

     “Um.... Abby we can leave when he is done with working; it's not that big of a hurry.” Angyl whispered.

     “Non sense. I can watch the boy and take care of the meeting. Just make sure you take a vampire and a Were each so you are both safe. I will have the vampires and their partner wolves meet you at the gates and don’t leave them.” Ace said smiling “Oh and here is my credit card for Angyl's dress and whatever else she might need.”

     “

bro and thanks.” Abby said snatching her brother’s card.

     “Thank you.” Angyl said as they left baffled over what had just happened.

     “So Nathan, what do you want to do?”

     “Can I color and stay in here with you, daddy?”

     “Yes you can.” Ace said thrown off, but happy at being called daddy. He smiled at the boy as he walked to get crayons and a coloring book he kept on hand for meetings, where the parents had to bring their kids. He made a mental note to get the boy some colors and coloring books of his own as well as toys, well more toys than what his mom brought him.

     “Here you go.” Ace said, handing the stuff to Nathan then ruffling his hair.

     “Thank you.” Nathan said, as he sat down and started to color. As soon as Nathan was sitting and content there was a knock on the door.

     “Come in.”

     “Hi I know I’m early for the meeting, but turns out I have another mating ritual to do that I forgot about, in about an hour, so I needed to come early.”

     “Well this meeting was just to figure out what we are going to do on the protection here and to also find out if you will please come to my mating ritual, dear friend. I want you there and I know Angyl would love to have you there.”

     “Well first, I will come to your mating ritual.” Axel said with a smile on his face. “Second off, as for the security I was thinking with how good my wolves sense of smell is I think it would be best to keep them as partners with the vamps, but we will have them spaced out where, no matter what, one of the wolves can get to whoever enters, before they can make it to the house, but it will take me a day to get the extra wolves needed to be here. I am sure it will take you about that long for the extra vamps as well.”

     “Yes, that sounds good.”

     “I would also like it if we had just a couple sets of pairs with vamps and Were's just walking around monitoring the grounds just in case they by chance make it past the first set of wolves as well as wolves and vamps at each entrance to the house, if that is alright.”

     “That sounds good. I would rather make sure my mate and kid will be safe.”

     “

will do. I will send them over as soon as I have the extra Were's to send. Do you realize you called her your mate, and her son, your son?”

     “Wow I did, well it must be because I already feel like she is my mate, and it’s probably because I already think of her son, as my son as well, plus just before you came knocking on my door he called me daddy and it felt good.”

     “Oh that’s wonderful I am so happy for you my friend, I would love a son, even an adopted son
,
to have in my life, as well as a mate. Things get lonely without them.”

     “Yes I remember how lonely I was before now. I can’t see my life without them.”

     “I bet, but from what I’ve heard from other mated couples they frequently say, can't live with them, but can’t live without them.”

     “Are you sure they love each other?”

     “Yes, I am sure. Because just hearing them you can tell that they love each other. I can even look into their eyes and know that they love each other.”

     “Yes, I have seen my people look at each other with love in their eyes as well, so I know what you mean.”

     “Hell Ace, I look at you looking at your mate and can tell that you both love each other with all your hearts.”

     “Well I’m glad you can tell she loves me too.” Ace said as he laughed so hard he almost fell over on the floor. “It would really suck being married to her if she didn’t love me.”

     “Yes, it does suck when a couple is mated who do not love each other, there is no happiness in that mating
.
I have seen that as well. It's also why I have tried to deny mating’s where I can tell that they do not love each other.”

     “Unfortunately I have seen it too, and no matter how hard you try to keep them from mating, there will always be a few who slip through anyways. Well I better let you go now; I do not want you to be late for the mating ritual.”

     “Yes I will talk to you soon.”

     “
Ok.
” Ace said as his friend left. He then turned to Nathan and smiled then asked. “Can I color with you as well?”

      “Yes daddy, I would love it if you colored with me.” Nathan said happily.

Chapter 14

     Angyl and Abby got back from shopping. They were both happy that the dress Angyl found wasn't going to need to be adjusted at all; it fit her perfectly. They got onto Ace's grounds and didn’t think anything was wrong when they looked around and didn’t see any of the security around, they just thought that they were ordered to hide and make everything look normal. It wasn’t until the wolves got out and just collapsed that Angyl and Abby started to worry. They both ran over to the vamp guards that were partnered up with the Were's and was trying to help them in any way they could, when one of the vamps made a harrumph sound, then he also collapsed. Angyl looked over and saw blood coming from Abby and the other vamps and was about to scream when she someone came up behind her and put something over her mouth that caused her to pass out. Right before everything went black; she had a ripple of fear go through her. Just before she blacked out, she had sworn she heard her ex-husband laughing and saying, “Finally I have you back,” she hoped more than anything she was wrong.
