     “I would like that, but it would have to be equal trade as is with our treaty.”

     “I wouldn’t bring it up unless I planned on sharing ours.” Ace replied with a plotting smile on his face. Their journals and records had never been allowed to be shared with the Were's, Ace had never agreed with this.

     “What about your council?”

     “They are only here to insure that I get mated, if I do not get married they are to insure that I either mate one of them picks or I step down from my position as King.”

     “Really?”

     “Yes really, it is our law. They are elected for helping keep order throughout the kingdom; they try to solve situations that are not serious, but I have the final say.”

     “Cool. So it’s just getting mated so you can get past them.”

     “Yes.”

     “Ok, so we just need to be here ‘til you get mated then?” Axel said smiling.

     “If I get mated. It’s still up to Angyl. I do know that I won’t get mated to anyone but Angyl though.”

     “I’ve seen how she looks at you, she loves you.”

     “Well I appreciate you vote of confidence, but I am not going to assume anything you know that saying, if you assume something you make an ass outta you and me.” Ace laughed heartily.

     “Who came up with that saying?”

     “I honestly don’t know my friend, but I’m guessing it is ‘cause of how it is spelled. Maybe some teacher in the past was trying to come up with a fun way to help his/her students to learn how to spell that word and that popped into his/her head.”

     “That kinda makes sense.” Axel said. “Well I really must go now.” What Ace didn’t mention was that Angyl had heard everything. He heard when she came up, he heard her hesitate, started to turn and leave, but then decided to stay. The way he saw it was she needed to hear the truth and knew his friend would not tell her any of it.

     “Alright, I will talk to you later; maybe after all of this we can get together and play some pool.”

     “Sounds good.” Axel said, as he headed out the door.

     Angyl didn’t mean to eves drop; but she couldn’t help it. She went to knock and heard them talking. It seems they had figured out and designed a bullet or bullets to kill the Halfling aka her ex-husband, she was a little hurt that she wasn’t brought into this meeting, but she continued to listen, and what she heard next shocked her to her core. Ace only had 3 weeks to change her and mate with her, or he would have to mate with someone else, and she knew that she didn’t want that, but what he said next made her mind up for her completely. She already knew she was going to have him change her and her son, but was still unsure of when they were going to mate until that moment. It was that moment when he said he loved her enough to let her choose, or he would gladly die instead of taking her choice away. She knew at that moment that she loved this man who didn’t want to push her into a decision and who thought to make sure her son would be protected. She was so engrossed in her thoughts that she didn’t hear them say good bye or the door open. She didn’t come to until she heard Ace say her name.

     “Angyl, what are you doing here?” Axel said with a mischievous smirk on his face.

     “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to eves drop I.... I just needed to talk to Ace about something, then I heard you guys talking, I was going to turn around and come back later, but it caught my attention.” Angyl said sounding like she was going to cry.

     “Shh its OK baby, I was going to tell you everything anyways, but what all did you hear?” Ace said as he came out the door right behind Axel.

     “Everything from the creating a special bullet, too, if I’m not turned and mated to you within 3 weeks you lose everything, including your life.”

     “Oh..... Well it is still your choice I’m not gonna make you, I would rather die than force you.” Ace said nervously.

     “That is why I have made my choice; I want you to turn me tonight after you give your blood to my son.”

     “Really? Wait I will not change your son right now we talked about this Angyl, I will not change him unless something happens to you.” Ace said through gritted teeth.

     “Yes I really want you to change me and mate with me. As for my son you
arrogant asshole
I make the decisions for him and me. We are a package deal.
I will not change and have him stay human; I will not lose my son to old age while I stay young!
And I will not lose him to any number of disasters that could happen to him.
You take me and my son or get neither of us!”
Angyl yelled at him.

     “I told you we still had time Angyl. We don’t need to do that now,
I want you to think about this, he will no longer have a normal life, he will forever be a vampire, and he will forever need blood to survive on
.” Ace yelled back.

     “I know this, I know everything that it entails,
but damn it I love you and I want to be with you but not at the expense of losing my son.
” Angyl screamed at him just before breaking down and crying. “My son is all I have that's good Ace. Please don't take him from me, please change him as well.”

     “Alright I will change him, please don't cry, I love you with all of my heart. Anyways before we take this step tonight you need to know that after we are mated if one of us dies the other will die, but it won’t be until the oldest kid is deemed an adult as soon as they are deemed an adult by the fates the one who was left alive will then die. If the oldest child is already an adult we both die.”

     “What about my son? What does that mean if I were to die?”

     “Once he gets my blood, he will be treated the same way, so the day the fates deem him is an adult, I will die.”

so he becomes yours, kinda like an adoption?”

     “Well yes and no, it's hard to explain. I will try to figure out the best way to explain it, then I will give you the run down.”

     “Well as long as, if I die he will be taken care of then I don’t care, I want to be mated to you.”

     “Oh, God Angyl you just made me the happiest man on earth.” he said as he picked her up swung her around and then kissed her.

     “Uh hum.” Axel coughed. “Ace you know I am happy for you, but you know you could have waited ‘til I was completely gone.” Axel said wishing he hadn't had to stay.

     “So why did you stay?” Ace laughed.

     “I forgot to give you the bullets.”

     “Oh, well thank you.” Ace said as Axel handed him the bullets.

     “No problem Ace, good day Angyl you have earned an honorary spot in my pack for your kindness as a human. Well, I guess soon you; will be with Ace as a vampire, but you will always be welcome as an honorary pack member.” Axel said bowing gracefully to Angyl.

     “Thank you, it is not hard to be nice, you have some wonderful Were's with you.”

     “I wish every human who finds out about us, thought like you; if you ever need anything just have Ace call us.”

     “Oh thank you, but I will not ask for anything if I cannot give in return.” Angyl smiled at him.

     “You are a very wise woman, but I was meaning that no matter what it was I would help even if it was to give my life. For someone like you who is open to us and treats us like we are just another human being, you are very rare and very precious to us. I know you plan on changing tonight and I know that you plan to mate with Ace, but even after you change you will still be the same as you are now. The change never changes who you are, it only changes how you age and how strong and fast you will be, which by the way you will be on your death bed and still look like you do now. I look forward to having you as a friend for years to come.” Axel said as he kissed the back of her hand.

     “Thank you and I offer you the same favor from me, for even though I have only known you all for a short time, you all have shown me kindness and not annoyance for my probably silly questions about you all. Thank you for changing into a wolf for me that first day I met you, though I could've done without the lick.” Angyl said giggling about that day.

     “When we lick someone, for us it is a sign that we care about, or consider them a friend. When I changed I could smell nothing but pure kindness from you there for I licked you.”

     “Oh... Well
ok
then. I appreciate it.” Angyl said, while blushing bright red.

     “You really are like no one I have ever met. You are truly a special woman and you are right for Ace. I am happy that you made the choice you have.”

     “I am also very happy with the choice I have made and I wish you happy hunting tonight for the full moon.”

     “Thank you Angyl.” Axel said as he bowed to her and left. After Axel left, Angyl looked to Ace and knew in her heart that this was the man she was meant to be with. She knew she had made the right choice. She also knew that it was going to happen in just a couple hours, was going to change her and her sons lives; hopefully for the better, forever. It was while she was thinking this that Ace interrupted her thoughts.

     “Angyl I just want to make sure you are sure. This is a big step.”

     “Yes I am sure.” Angyl said looking over and giving Ace a huge smile showing all the love she feels for him.

     Ace and Angyl, later that night, were sitting in the kitchen, they were both thinking of how to get her son Ace's blood when Ace said something.

so this is what we can do for your son, what I can do is mix my blood in his juice.”

     “What is his favorite juice?”

     “His favorite juice is apple juice.”

     “Well I need to fill his cup a 3

full with my blood, then the rest will be apple juice at first he will get a fever and you cannot give him anything for this fever. His body needs to adjust to the blood; it will change all of his blood to be like mine.”

     “
Ok
is there anything I can do for him to make him comfortable?”

     “It helps if I hold him as the blood is mine, even if he is burning up he will not feel any pain, and when it is completely done I must tell you he will no longer have any of your ex-husbands blood he will have only my blood and yours, if we did a DNA test it would say that I am his father, I do not exactly understand it but that is what would happen. Then after puberty he will change into one of us.”

     “Why would it not show his real dads DNA and why would it keep my DNA?”

     “Well we do not understand it, if I was a female changing him then it would keep his dads DNA, but since I am male it will wipe out his dads DNA and keep yours. I think it's a survival technique. After this is done any other kids we might have together their DNA will match your sons. Even though I am changing him into a vampire and he wasn't mine originally he will become mine permanently.”

     “Oh. I guess this is what you meant earlier when you said it was a yes and no to being like adoption. So even after I change I can still have kids?” Angyl asked surprised.

     “Yes.”

     “Oh my gosh, I am so happy about that because I do want at least one more kid.” Angyl said excitedly, feeling thrilled at the thought of being a mom again to a little Ace. Angyl thought to herself.

     “But a warning, your son will become the next in line for being the king of the vampires because once my blood enters him he is looked at as a blood birth and they consider a blood birth the same as an actual birth. So they have laws stating that he will be the next ruler.”
