     “Stop David, I will be yours if you stop.” Angyl cried out she didn't want anyone else to get hurt because of her. “I won’t lie, I love Ace, but if you don't hurt anyone else I will willingly be yours, so please stop.”

     “Angyl, No.” Ace said, jumping in front of her. David watched this and raised his gun to aim at Ace.

     “If you shoot me, you could miss and hit Angyl and you don’t want to do that, do you?” Ace said patronizingly.

     “Not if I shoot you in the leg.” David said as he fired the gun it was then Ace brought out his gun and shot David in the heart.

     “Oh god Ace, are you alright?” Angyl said crying.

     “I’m fine. Is he dead?”

     “Yes.”

     “Good I am glad.”

     “I love you Ace, can we go home now?” Angyl said shaking from cold and tears and shock.

     “Before we go, we need to get rid of the wolf’s bane, throw it in the fire. Then we need to check on the Detectives to make sure they are alright.” Ace said, as he was gathering up what he could, he looked over and saw Angyl doing the same. “Looks like both detectives are fine, but Johnson will need a doctor.”

     “Are you sure they will be fine?”

     “They will be. Now let’s help this detective up and help get Johnson to the ambulance, then we can go home finally.” Ace said, walking over to help Detective Jordan up after seeing him stir. When other cops came bursting through the door yelling freeze, Ace threw up his hands, Angyl started crying. They saw Detective Johnson on the ground bleeding and inched towards him, to check his pulse.

     “
Stop, it wasn’t them.
” Detective Jordan yelled. All the cops lowered their weapons and went to help lift Detective Johnson up and carried him to the ambulance.

     “What happened here?” one of the cops asked the other detective.

     “Angyl was being attacked when Ace came bursting in to save her. My partner and I came in shortly after and saw David with his gun trained on Ace, after that everything went black.” Jordan said. The cop then turned to Ace and asked him the same questions.

     “Well everything up to when Detective Jordan blacked out is correct. After the detective blacked out, Angyl tried to save everyone by trying to make David happy, I went to protect her. David then raised his gun and shot me in the leg. I shot David in self-defense; I was on my way to help Detective Johnson, when you all burst through the door. He has a head wound and needs medical help, but he is still alive.”

     “Well sounds like a clear case of self-defense,
but I will need you all to come down and make a statement tonight.”

     “Will do officer.” Ace replied.

Chapter 17

 
   Ace and Angyl got done with their statements. They had also been cleared of any charges that could have come up since it was proven that they were only protecting themselves. Now it was late and they were heading home so Angyl could see her son, and get some sleep. Ace decided that Angyl and he needed to sit and talk.

      “Angyl why did you tell David that we were just friends?” Ace asked.

     “What? I never told him we were just friends.” Angyl said in disbelief at what she was hearing.

     “I heard you and him talking, you told him that we were just friends.” Ace said, with a twinge of anger behind his words.

     “Oh my god Ace you are such an idiot!” Angyl yelled at him. “Obviously you only heard part of the conversation and made your mind up ahead of time that that's what we were talking about.”

     “Wait, I’m
not an idiot. What do you mean that I only heard part of the conversation, I thought I heard it all, well enough of it.”

     “No you didn't obviously! He knew about you, yes, and I told him straight out that you were a bigger man than he will ever be and that I love you, and yes you are and idiot. If you can honestly believe that I would say that we are just friends

makes you an idiot.” Angyl threw back at him.

     “Well then, who did you say was just a friend?”

     “I was talking about Axel, you dumbass. He had accused me of sleeping with Axel, as well as you. I informed him that Axel and I never slept together, ever, and that Axel and I are just friends.”

     “You were talking about Axel being your friend.” Ace asked, feeling stupid now.

     “Yes, Ace, I was talking about Axel.” Angyl said near tears now. “How could you believe that I would deny that I loved you?”

     “I honestly don't know how, Angyl. Here is my question now, can we please get mated tonight, it will give you time to sleep and get ready, seeing how it's already 6 am. I don't think I can live another moment without you in my life, please say yes, I love you Angyl, and I was an idiot to think that, without knowing the full story, please forgive me.” Ace said.

     “Ace, you are an idiot, but I love you, and I don't want to live another moment without being yours, so the answer is yes, under one condition.” Angyl said.

     “Anything, Angyl. I will do anything.”

     “Always ask me about stuff before you get stupid ideas in your head.”

     “Done, I will talk to you first, instead of assuming something.” Ace said as he grabbed Angyl and kissed her deeply letting all his feelings go into that one kiss. Love, angst, desperation, passion, everything went into that kiss. When they separated,
Angyl felt drained and almost forgot about her doctor appointment that they were supposed to be at today.

     “Ace, I have something to tell you.” Angyl said nervously.

     “Don't tell me you have changed your mind.” Ace said jokingly.

     “Oh Ace, I never wanted anything more than to be yours, this is something else entirely.”

     “So what is it Angyl?”

     “We need to get Abby and Nathan; because I have a doctor appointment.....I think I might be pregnant.” Angyl blurted out.

     “Let’s go get them then. I want to know the answer to that.” Ace said, with a huge smile on his face.

     As soon as Angyl and Ace walked into the room where Abby and Nathan were, Angyl's son ran over to her.

     “
Mommy
! I missed you, why are you hurt mommy? Are you ok? Where were you?”

     “Oh baby, mommy isn’t that hurt and I was lost, that’s why I wasn’t home. Ace found me.”

     “Thank you daddy for bringing mommy back home to us.” Nathan said. Angyl was shocked to hear her son, call Ace, daddy, but it brought her happiness also.

     “Yes, daddy found mommy and brought mommy home.” Angyl said. Then they all just hugged him tightly. “Thank you Abby for helping watch my son.”

     “It was no problem.” Abby said happy that Angyl was back and safe.

     “I have an appointment and I want to hear the results with my family, can you come with us? I really would love all of you to be there.” Angyl said.

     “Yes, of course, let’s go.” Abby said, wondering what was going on, she had an idea but she wasn't sure. When they finally entered into the Doctors office at the house, the Doctor had them sit down.

     “Ok Angyl first I am so glad to see you back and safe.” Johnathan said “But I am sure you are ready to hear what I have to say.”

     “Yes we would.” Angyl replied.

     “Well Ace and Angyl I am happy to inform you that you are going to have a baby.” Johnathan said smiling.

     “Really?” Ace said shocked. Even though he already knew why they were there, it still shocked him hearing the news.

     “I am so happy.” said Angyl it was then that Nathan came running over with Abby.             

     “Oh I am so happy for you Angyl.” Abby said bending down to give her a hug.

     “Mommy, what does he mean when he says you’re

going to have a baby?” Nathan asked.

     “He means, that mommy is going to have a baby brother or sister for you.”

     “I want a brother.” Nathan said, in a voice that was serious.

    
“Hey, sisters are nice also.” Ace said smiling at Abby.

     “Really?” Nathan asked.

     “Yes really.” Ace said, ruffling Nathans hair.

     “Ok I am going to check and make sure the baby is fine and then I will see you back here in a month.”

     “Ok.” Angyl said as she got ready.

     Angyl couldn’t believe that her and Ace were getting mated soon, they were going to become a family and she couldn’t believe it. In the middle of her thinking this Abby knocked on the door.

     “Come in.”

      “It's time to get into your gown, then we will meet everyone outside on the lawn.”

     “Ok, I’m nervous, I know that’s weird, but I’m nervous.”

     “I hope you’re not nervous as in you want to walk.”

     “No I do not want to walk; I love your brother with everything I have. I’m nervous because of how happy I am, I’m nervous because I thought I would never love anyone else, I’m nervous that I’m going to fail such a wonderful man.”

     “I think I might gag, but on a serious note, as long as you love him that is all he wants.” Abby said “Well you’re
ready, so let’s head out.” Angyl couldn’t believe how beautiful everything was as she walked out, then she saw him standing in front of 7 people and had to ask.

     “Who are they?”

     “They are the council members, they are the ones who need to mate the 2 of you, then after you 2 are mated he will have to kill the one who stood against him. Then you both will get naked and head to your room to finish the rest of the mating ritual in private.”

     “Oh I forgot about the fact Ace had to kill someone.”

     “It will be ok, honest.” Abby said as they made it in front of the council and next to Ace. It was then that the council began.

     “We are here because Angyl has decided to mate with our King, she has also followed everything we have asked and more by giving her son
to our world and to king Space, therefore,
we see her as........” The council leader started before more shit hit the fan, because it was then that Damien decided to attack Ace. Abby grabbed Angyl to hold her back. “He has to do this; it is just sooner than it was supposed to be.” Abby whispered in her ear. Then they heard Damien yelling at Ace as they were fighting.

     “You were supposed to fail so I could be named as king. No one wants you as king, you’re
not worthy of the title, and neither is your human whore. I cannot believe the council are such stupid fools. I guess it is up to me to end you and claim the title, because you will not be ending me today, you are too weak.” He said, just before Damien got Ace down on the ground and pulled out a knife trying to cut Ace's throat. That is when Ace saw Angyl crying, trying to run to him, and his sister Abby holding her back. He managed to get the knife away from Damien and got him off of him, when Damien ran and dragged Angyl over and pulled another knife out. “Ace I will kill her if you do not drop the knife.”
