In spite of the stereotype, Japanese folks have a great sense of humor. You’re going to have plenty of shit to laugh about, so you might as well learn how to do it right:

omoroi koto

Omoroi is your all-purpose word for interestingness. You can use it to describe how funny it was when your friend got drunk and fell into a sewer ditch, or how enamored you are by
the music of David Hasselhoff, or how you were moved by an exhibit at the Hiroshima War Memorial. Anything you find appealing is omoroi. When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie, that’s omoroi.
