I heard men’s voices behind me to and turned to find
Alexander speaking to the captain and co-captain of the plane.

They looked in my direction, smiled, and nodded. Only God
knew what they thought of me…Probably some gold digger.

“Miss, would you like me to show you around?” said the
hostess.

“Show me around? There’s more?” I couldn’t imagine more.

What else could they shove in here?

The hostess nodded and gently motioned her hand to lead
me to the back; there was more. There was a fully furnished office
with computers set up on the desk and flat screens on the
wall. Across from that was a fully equipped bathroom; it was
incredible. And last but not least, a master bedroom. The master
bedroom was a sight: a large bed, custom furniture, sitting area
and a fireplace; I wouldn’t have believed it had I not seen it with
my own eyes.

“Please do not hesitate to ask for anything you may want
or need. I will inform Mr. Mason that you are settling in.” The
hostess turned and left as I stood in sheer amazement. Someone
would soon surely wake me from this dream.

But no one woke me. I sat on the edge of the bed and tried
to bring myself back into my physical body. My palms, spread
open on each side of my body, held onto the bed, trying not to
fall to the ground. The last two days had been confusing, but
this…this was unimaginable.

Trying to think clearly, I heard the doorknob click off the
lock.

Alexander walked in. “Are you OK? Do you feel ill?” He
was truly concerned.

I wasn’t ill; I was just trying to wrap my brain around where
I was, who I was with, and what I was doing. My lack of control
was obviously making me look sick.

“I’m not ill; I’m OK. I just…You have to understand
that I am and have always been self-sufficient. People don’t
just do things like this, and I don’t easily let people do
things— anything—for me. None the less, take me to Bora-Bora in the middle of the night. My control has always held
me together, and in the last two days I have given up to
you more control than I have ever given up to anyone in my
lifetime.”

My head hung, not in shame or sadness—just fear. I didn’t
know what I was getting myself into, but my heart wanted to
be there and my mind didn’t know what the hell it wanted.

Alexander knelt in front of me and held my hands. “I will
never, ever, make you give up anything. Do you hear me? I
will take what you want to give me, and nothing more. Once
you understand that, this will all be easier to accept. I have no
ulterior motives except for selfishness: I don’t want my time
with you to end.”

I didn’t respond to him because I knew I felt exactly the
same. But admitting it would turn this into a relationship.

Admitting it would make all of this real. Admitting it would
mean I had fallen in love—and in less than a week.

“Let’s just get some rest. It’s been a long night, and it will
be a long flight before we arrive. You’ll feel better; we’ll both
feel better once we’ve rested.”

Alexander slipped off my flip-flops and then his sneakers.

And with all of our clothes still on, we inched our tired and
emotional bodies onto the bed and our heads onto the fluffy
white pillows.

We lay face to face and chest to chest. He held my hands
entwined in his own, and he stared—I could feel it—straight
into the depths of my soul. I felt at home:—exactly where I
should be and in the arms of the man I should be wrapped in.

“Close your eyes and rest.”

That was the last I heard, and Alexander’s eyes were my last
sight as I shut out the lights in the cabin.

I lay on a cloud with my lips parted as I breathed through
my sleep, allowing my breath to flow between the blush-red
pillows that formed my mouth. I slept soundly once the plane
had departed into the early morning sky headed for Polynesia.

Subconsciously I feared sleeping and waking to find all of this a
dream. I feared that Alexander’s silhouette lying next to me was
a figment of my imagination, so I never removed my arm from
his hold or my hands from his hands.

He held me as tightly as he could to his chest. I sensed he
would have swallowed me whole if he could, stuffed me in my
entirety into the four chambers of his heart.

I felt rather impressed with his accomplishment of getting
me to agree to this. I thought the move was bold, but he had
done something major to get through to me. I didn’t know how
to be the girl in love, but this had to be it. Because I have never
been open to love, this was new to me, very difficult. But it
wasn’t a choice that my heart was allowing me to decide on—it
decided for me.

His nearness to my skin threw me into immediate ecstasy,
and his distance from me—even the shortest of distances—
pained me to hell.

I guess that is the difference between men and women. Men
jump and then look down to see the fall. But women…Women
measure the fall, evaluate the fall, time the fall; we plan it to
the point where there is no more thrill in falling. It made no
sense, but I had lived this way all my life.

CHAPTER EIGHTEEN

A knock at the door made me writhe in the cotton sheet that
I was covered with. My eyes opened, first glancing at the door
and then back at Alexander.

He smiled at me as he responded to the knock, “Yes?”

The hostess poked her head in, trying to divert her eyes
from the bed we lay in. Even though we were fully dressed, she
was respecting our private space.

“I apologize for not ringing you, sir; the phone is out of
service. The captain asked that I inform you that we shall be
landing in an hour. We are on schedule; it is eleven twenty a.m.

local time. I shall prepare breakfast, if you’d like?”

He nodded in agreement. “Thank you, Mary. That would
be nice. We will be out in the main cabin in a short while.”

She nodded and closed the bedroom door behind her. We
were alone again.

“Good morning, angel,” he said with all the strength in his
heart.

“Good morning. Did I really sleep the whole flight? Did
you get any rest?” He snuggled my head closer to his chest,
keeping my hand still wrapped by his. And I couldn’t have
been more satisfied.

“Yes, you did. No, I didn’t; but I am rested. I was busy
drowning in your beauty all night, soaking you into my skin,
breathing you into my lungs.”

I picked my head up and giggled. “I somehow know that
you are being sincere, and you are amazing…”

“But…?” He sensed that there was more to be said.

“But…you are such a cornball.” I broke out into an infectious
laugh, kissing him under his chin, which inevitably woke
every other part of his body.

“Wait, we land in an hour. It is very hot out, and we have a
short ride before we get to where we are staying. Let’s get ready
and have something to eat.”

But I continued to kiss his neck. “I can’t stop. I want you.

I want you to fuck me on the plane, maybe even in the cockpit.

OK, maybe not there. I’m kinky but orgies I have not tried.” I
giggled, falling back into his neck.

He tried to get me up and out of bed, struggling to talk me
out of my attack on him. “On the way home, I promise. Now,
let us get ready, or I will have to ask the pilot to fly around the
other half of the world in order for me to have time to do to you
as I want.”

He kissed my forehead and slid off the bed to open the suitcase
for a clean shirt to wear. I sprawled my lean, sculpted form
across the plush white duvet, moaning as I stretched, enticing
him to return to bed. But knowing that my delayed wanting
would make for delightful play later, he stalled. He turned,
pretending to be uninterested.

I knelt on the bed and, with one swoop, pulled the T-shirt
straight off of my head, fluffing my hair over my breasts covered
in lace. I moved my finger to my lips sensually and bit on
it playfully while bringing my free hand behind me to my mid
back—and my bra just popped off! “Oops!” I let out in a girlish,
come-hither cry.

“How the hell did you do that? Will you teach me? I always
heard about the trick of ‘snapping’ a woman’s bra off, but shit,
that’s hot.” He was deep in laughter and amazement, truly interested
in how I had undone my bra. And that’s when a pillow
went swinging at his head.

“My size D breasts are sitting here perky and staring at you,
and you want to know how I ‘snapped’ my bra off? Oh boy, you
will definitely need training!”

But I was not upset. I giggled along with him. As I stood,
he moved closer, and I wrapped my legs around his hips and
hung on his body, kissing him as I held onto his face with fire
radiating through my eyes and lips as we touched.

“I love when you are like this,” he said, staring into my
eyes, cupping my ass in his hands as my body wrapped tighter
around his hips.

“Like what exactly?” I asked, lowering my eyebrows,
confused.

“Carefree, relaxed, open to me.” He was being honest, even
with the fear of me shutting down on him again.

“I hate to admit it, but…You do this to me; I don’t have
control over it.”

He didn’t press me for more. He knew that it had been hard
for me to admit even that much to him, and I was grateful. He
appreciated my attempts; I was trying and that was all he had
asked for. He would take only what I would give, and I was
starting to give.

Moving into the main cabin after we washed up a bit, we
found the hostess had prepared a small table with fresh flowers
and a spread of almost every breakfast food one would want. I
was super excited.

“Let me guess. You’re starving,” he joked.

“Ah, Mr. Mason, you’re a fast learner. Good! Yes, I am, but
this is too much. You shouldn’t have gone to so much trouble,”

I said, turning to give a sweet and so-thankful look at the hostess,
feeling badly that she had made this much for just us two.

Most of the food was pre-prepared and heated, but some of it
was freshly made. Mary was a great hostess, and Alexander had
mentioned that he usually requested her when he traveled.

“Oh, it was no trouble. Is everything to your liking?

Anything else I can get you?” the hostess inquired.

The table was assembled with a variety of eggs cooked
in various ways, pancakes, meats, fruits, yogurts, and breads.

There was a plethora of choices, and I eyed everything. In response
to the hostess, I looked up at her very seriously. “I would
really like some Froot Loops.”

Mary froze, feeling bad that she couldn’t get me my request.

“Miss, I apologize. I don’t think—”

But I couldn’t hold my serious face; I broke out into a giggle.

“I’m sorry, Mary! I was kidding! This is a beautifully prepared
breakfast, and you have been a delight to spend thirteen
hours with, even though I slept through it.”

Mary’s laughter followed. “Thank you for that. You are very
sweet. Please enjoy, and don’t hesitate to let me know if you
need anything at all.” Mary smiled and walked to the front
of the cabin and pulled the heavy red shades to give us some
privacy.

“You are full of surprises, aren’t you?” Alexander grew
amused with my ability to turn my personality on and off: between
funny and serious, then from prim to absolutely kinky
and carefree. He had said that it was refreshing to have that
confidence and so rare to find in a woman these days.
