I clung to him and kissed
him. I wanted him to understand that whatever happened before was not
going to effect our relationship. Nothing could change what I was
feeling. I was sure of that.

David kept his word and
although we hadn't slept together he had made me reach heights which
I never thought existed. He had nudged my legs apart. I had thank God
it was dark or else I would have died in embarrassment and then he
kissed every inch of my flesh. His fingers had delved inside of me
into my depths and had moved inside of me with rhythm building a
shattering climax. I had whimpered and writhed in pleasure but he
hadn't finished. When I was out of breath he pulled his fingers out
and replaced them with his mouth. My eyes widened as his tongue began
to move in circles. My hands clenched the sheet and I cried out as a
wave of pleasure washed over me. It had left me breathless but
instead of appeasing the need I had inside me it made me want more. I
knew what I needed. I needed David. I needed the fulfillment that
only he could give me.

David-”
I said as I grabbed his arm.

We
should sleep now, tomorrow we have to wake up early, at five thirty,
we have to leave.”

I
know but-”

I
feel it too Cassidy and you don't know how hard it is to say no but I
can't. I'm sorry.” He said as he lied next to me.

I curled against his body.
“As you wish David. Probably you're right.” I said a
little disappointed. I wondered when we were going t o have another
opportunity like this. “Goodnight David.”

Goodnight.”

CHAPTER 21

The next morning I was woken
up by a small kiss on my lips, I felt like sleeping beauty. I opened
my eyes and saw his beautiful face. It was so nice waking up in his
arms.

It's
4.30, we have to wake up Cas, we can't risk to lose the ferry boat
again, I have to go to work today.”

I looked up in his face and
smiled as I thought about what we had shared last night. Then I
kissed him again and again.

Hey,
what's all this kissing?” He laughed.

Complaining?”
I teased.

Oh,
not at all,” he said while he began to caress my hair. “Thank
you for tonight.” He said.

I blushed. “No thanks
to you. David do you think that there'll be other days like
yesterday?”

Of
course, I hope so.” He said. He looked down at me and chewed
his lip. Suddenly I realised I was naked and it was almost dawn. Now
he could see. I tried to cover myself but he didn't let me. Instead
he cupped my breast and started to kiss the hollow of my neck.

Oh
David.”

I
should stop. There is no time for this but you're so beautiful. So
perfect.”

His hand slid down on my
belly and then he uncovered me. Now I was totally naked in front of
him. I felt my stomach contracting and a rush of heat had started
burning between my legs. He gasped as he stared at me and his hand
slid between my thighs.

It's
better if I get up or else this time I won't stop.”He said
hoarsely.

Then
don't. David you want me why are you trying to resist? We're both
adults there would be nothing wrong.”

He remained silent. There
was something that kept troubling him. Was it because of Kyle's mum?

Is
it because you're still married?” I asked than.

What?”

You
never said anything but I deduce you and her were married.”

No
Cassidy, I never got married.” He replied.

Then
why.”

You're
not mine yet and I'm taking what belongs to someone else.” he
replied as he pulled his hand back and got up. He looked for his
boxer and put them on.

Can't
you let me decide to whom I belong?” I challenged.

Yes.
But you have to do that knowing everything. You need time and I will
give it to you. Come on, get up now. We have to go.”

At 5.45, we were at the
port, waiting for the ferry boat. At 6.00 sharp, we left Sunny Island
to return home. I wasn't looking forward to returning to my usual
life. I kept looking at David.

What
is it Cas? You're so quiet. You're still thinking about what happened
earlier right?”

No,
I mean yes but it's not that. I have understood your reasons.”

Then
what's worrying you?”

It's
stupid but I fear that things will change when we'll go back.”

Why
should that happen? Cassidy, my feelings, will never change.”
Saying that, he caressed my face. “Our relationship has just
started” I grabbed his hand which was still on my face.

David
don't ever leave me, please.”

For a moment, he looked
startled but then he smiled.

Oh,
I have no intention, I would never do that. Cassidy it depends mostly
on you.”

Why?”

You
have to be the one not to leave me,” I could get a hint of
sadness in that phrase.

David
I would never do that.”

I
hope so Cassidy. I hope so.”

At that moment, we heard
someone announce that we had arrived, so our conversation stopped
there. What was he trying to say? Kylie had said that I had preferred
another man to him. Was it possible that I had had already a
relationship with David? And that I had left him? No... I couldn't
believe that. We went down in the lower deck where the cars where
parked. David gave me the crash helmet and got on. I hopped on the
motorcycle and put my hands around his waist. We waited for the ship
gangplank to be lowered so we could leave. The sun was already up in
the sky. The temperature here was a little cooler than on sunny
island; I shivered on the motorcycle and held tight to David. About
an hour later we were in front of my house.

Here
we are Cassidy,” he said taking off the crash helmet. “Do
you think your mum can take Kylie to school today? I don't think I'll
manage, I still have to go home, take a shower and get changed.”

Don't
worry David, I'll take her.”

Really?”

Yes,
just go. Will I see you later?”

Sure,
I'll come tonight OK?”

I jumped off the motorcycle
and then hugged him tight. He bent down and kissed me, a passionate
kiss which showed me how much he didn't want to leave.

See
you later,” he said as he started the engine. The he left.

I stood there watching him
leaving. I hugged myself happily; I still had his scent on. I felt
like dancing. Just then I sensed a presence behind me. A shiver ran
down my spine; his scent invaded my nostrils. I knew who it was and I
knew why he was there. I turned around to face him. I felt my stomach
churn when I met his gaze; he looked angry and hurt.

That's
why you didn't even bother to call me back? You're with him now?”
He shouted looking deeply at me.

What
are you doing here?” I asked weakly.

Yesterday
we were supposed to meet, I came for you at eight although I hadn't
had a reply, but no one answered at the door not even your mum.”

Probably my mum was out, she
had taken Kylie at the circus. I thought.

Listen
we don't have anything to say. I don't know you; you have no right to
come here and pretend an explanation.” I said trying to pass in
front of him to go in. He grabbed my shoulder and turned me around
forcing me to look at him.

I
don't have a, right? That's what you think. Oh my dear, Cassidy
you're really wrong about this. I won't move from here until you tell
me what the hell is going on.” He shouted again. He seemed to
struggle to keep calm.

For
God's sake Tyler, it's seven in the morning.” I said still a
little shocked.

I
passed all night waiting for you in the car, the least you can do is
to talk to me,” he snapped.

You're
mad. Why did you do that?”

I
told you. I want an explanation. Why? Why are treating me like this?
You didn't answer your mobile; you ignored me completely.  Why
are you  annoyed with me? I'm sorry if I scared you last time. I
just wanted to kiss you. I love you can't you understand this!?”
He said holding his breath.

My heart skipped a beat.

No,
you don't. Listen Tyler I know everything about you. I know you were
as a sort of lover for me before the accident.”

He looked stunned at me...

A
lover? I was more than that.”

I
don't care. I'm not the same person you knew before the accident and
you don't love me..”

You
can't say that. You don't know me, maybe you never did.”

Then
where the hell were you when I was in hospital? You never came to see
me, not even once.” I shouted. I felt a lump forming in my
throat.

His eyes saddened all of a
sudden.

I'm
sorry. I couldn't. I wasn't well. I had my problems.”

Your
problems? My God. You think you can fix everything buying me flowers
huh?”

No.
I can give you more than that. Please give me a chance to show you.
You don't know the real me please.”

You're
right I don't and I don't want to get to know you. The past is past
now. I want to look at the future.” I insisted. His hand got
tighter on my shoulder; he was hurting me.

With
that guy you've spent the night with? Huh... do you think he's better
than me?”

It's
none of your business.”

My
God Cassidy have you had sex with him?” He asked in a strangled
voice. He was almost crying.

I'm
not going to discuss this with you.”

Hell
you did.”

He took his hand off me and
stepped back. He was so angry that for a second I thought he was
going to hit me, but he didn't, he just slammed his hand against the
wall.

 “
Listen
Tyler, think whatever you want, I don't care.” But Whatever
there has been between us it's finished now.”

No
it's not, it has just started I assure you that.” He said
looking in my eyes. I shivered. “Listen He's not better than
me, he is keeping secrets from you like anyone else, be careful he's
not the angel you think.”

Shut
up, I don't want to hear you.”

 “
Cassy,
I expect you to come to work, you'll start from tomorrow.”

 “
What?
I'm not working for you. Not now not ever.”

 “
Sorry
to delude you but you have no choice, you used to work for me. That
office I showed you was yours.”

 “
What?”
My jaw dropped; I couldn't believe what he was saying.

 “
You
have a contract with me and you can't just leave like that. You have
to work at least the notice. Two months notice and then I let you
go.”

 “
You
can't be serious.” I shouted.
