“Dad, all is good, going to Hayden’s ok?”

“Ok kitten. Will you be coming home tonight?”

“Don’t think so Dad”

“Be safe kitten”

Kitten was her father, Dean’s pet name for Cammy.

“Dad, you know I’m good, don’t worry”

Cammy hugged him and gave him a big kiss on the cheek. Dean smiled at her and watched her run out the door and into Hayden’s car waiting outside.

Dean liked Hayden and could see how they felt about one another. Hayden was always a gentleman so far and respectful to Dean, in their home and whenever he saw him. Dean was an open minded man.
He wasn’t even all that religious, he simply wanted the kids to have a good, protected education and thought that St. Mary’s was where it was at. Cammy and Davey could tell him anything and he never judged. He had been a father to Davey and Cammy at 18. Autumn, their mother was his high school sweetheart, all four years. They too went to St. Mary’s. When Autumn got pregnant with the twins, Dean was ready to marry her, but she didn’t want to marry him. Something had changed in her with the pregnancy. She homeschooled until the twins were born and then signed them over to Dean legally, no custody. She didn’t want them, or Dean. Autumn left days after they were born and Dean never heard from her again. She was gone forever. He skipped college, raised the twins on his own and opened the Hudson House of Music when he was 19, with the financial help from his parents. It was a success, thanks to Dean being a musician himself. He had a music scholarship to Michigan State, but the twins were his future at 18.

“Lets’ get pizza Hay”

“Whatever you want baby” Hayden said as he pulled out of the Hudson parking lot.

Dean waved at the kids through the glass window,
and then turned to get back to work. He was a handsome man for 36. He stayed fit, ate healthy and cared about his appearance at all times. Davey was a younger version of his father, sharing the same good looks.

“Honey, I’m home!” Hayden yelled into the dark house as he unlocked the door.

Switching on the foyer lights, then heading into the kitchen Cammy put the pizza down on the table. She darted for the bathroom to check her makeup, relieve herself, and then hurry back to Hayden. He was getting out plates and soda from his fridge for them. Cammy walked up to him and pulled him by the collar and into her, kissing him with fury.

“No pizza?” Hayden said with a raised eyebrow.

“Nope” Cammy shook her head back and forth, swishing her hair, permeating it with her scent, driving Hayden wild.

Hayden knew what was up. It was going to happen tonight, finally. He had already fallen so hard for her,
and he was willing to wait forever, if that’s what she wanted. He led her into his room, shut and locked the door. Cammy turned on the stereo, some random mixed cd playing. It didn’t even matter what was playing, all she wanted was to be with him.

They started kissing by the foot of the bed,
and then Hayden slowly lowered her down onto it. There was no resistance. He pulled of her shoes and socks, and unzipped her pants, pulling them down and off, slowly. He pulled her shirt up and over head, as Cammy lifted up slightly to help. Her bra was unhooked and discarded on the floor next to her. Cammy put her arms around his neck and pulled Hayden onto her chest. Hayden sat on top of her and straddled her waist. He pulled his shirt off and leaned down to kiss her, soft, gentle, breathing into her ear. With a slow motion, Hayden was kissing her breasts, her stomach, making his way down to her panties, which were still on. He pulled at the sides of the panties that hugged her hips, kissing each side, then pulling them off. He kissed her thighs, then put his mouth onto her and rolled his tongue around, in and out of her, flicking her hard button. Cammy was wriggling and putting her hands in his hair, holding his head in between her legs, and she was getting wetter by the second.

“Now Hay, now” She whimpered.

Hayden stood and unbuckled his pants and slipped then off with his boxers. Opening a condom, he slid it down his hard, awaiting shaft.

“You sure baby?” He whispered to her in the dark.

“Yes” Cammy whispered back, holding out her hands to him.

Hayden took her hands into his and again kissed and licked her thighs. He could taste her and feel the slickness of her and knew she was ready. Coming up to meet her mouth with his, he put a hand underneath her ass and a hand behind her back. Cammy was kissing his shoulders that were atop her while he eased himself into her. It stung for a moment and Cammy tensed, while it made Hayden shudder. He stopped pushing and kissed her, hard, trailing down her neck, Cammy’s weak spot. She was so into him that she found herself coming up to meet him with a thrust of her own. He was in and going slow. Cammy got caught up in how good he felt, how much he meant to her, she
felt a storm building inside of her. Hayden had made her come orally a few times before, so she knew what was going to happen and welcomed it.

“Oh Cammy” Hayden said to her, with panted breaths. They were in a sync of
rhythm now.

“I’m gonna come baby”

Cammy said nothing in return because as he was moving in and out of her, he was circling her clit with his finger and she was going to come herself. Cammy felt her body tense, then a rush of warmth and waves crashed in her body. She let out a cry, which took Hayden over the edge and he moaned, held his breath, and then let it out with another moan, shuddering on top of Cammy. They stayed like that breathing hard and fast and slowing down. He held her, and then rolled over to take off the condom.

“Oh my God.” Cammy yelled out into the dark.

“What’s wrong Cammy, did I hurt you?”

“This is what I’ve been missing?” She was
lying in the bed running her hands over her body that was still quivering.

“Well, yea, it is” Hay answered, feeling like he was Superman.

“I never knew it felt like this. That you would feel so good to me. It didn’t really hurt that much either.”

“Good, I’m glad” he kissed her forehead.

“Did I, was I, was it ok Hay?” Cammy was being shy for the first time around him.

“What? Oh my God, sweetie, it was beautiful and felt so intense. You were wonderful. Thank you for this gift.”

“Thank you for waiting for me.”

They made love again and again that night, Cammy not caring about how sore she would be the next morning. They craved each other, couldn’t get enough. Cammy wasn’t going to tell Jalen right away. They had been growing apart this year. Jalen and Davey were always together and now that she had Hayden, she hardly saw Davey, except for at work. Hayden had other friends from his high school before St. Mary’s and sometimes he and Davey hung out after school, but that was it.
Davey and Jalen were applying to same colleges to be together. Hayden was applying to MSU, but Cammy was going to stay behind, work at the store with Dad. She didn’t think it was fair for their dad to have to put two kids through college at the same time, even if he could afford it. In fact, Cammy wasn’t sure what she wanted, but she did know that college wasn’t it.

Winter

Months had flown by and Cammy finally told Jalen about Hayden, who told Davey. Jalen was a great friend, but a little big mouthed too. She was shorter than Cammy, with blonde hair and brown eyes. She wasn’t all that pretty to Cam, with big boobs and a round butt that Davey obviously loved. She was good to him. The first two years of their relationship was rocky, Davey was always breaking things off to go and be with someone else, but she always took him back. Cammy wouldn’t have put up with it, but she did. I only hoped that when they went to college, Davey would keep it in his pants. I would never tell Davey, but she had a couple of indescrepencies too. I felt at fault for that, dragging her along with me to parties and not looking out for her the whole time, but Cammy felt that if you were going to do it, you were going to do it, because it was already in your head. You can’t blame everything on the alcohol.

“Cams, can we talk” Davey was knocking on Cammy’s bedroom door.

“It’s open”

Davey walked in to find Cammy with a towel on her head, in a robe and painting her toes a rich shade of red.

“What’s up Davey boy?”

How’s Hayden?”

“He is good. Seeing him tonight.”

“Is he treating you good? I’m sorry we haven’t spent that much time together, Jalen is really getting clingy”

“He’s treating me fine. I’m sooo happy. What’s up with Jalen?”

Davey’s face said it all. His mouth tightened and he put his head down.

“Davey, you didn’t?”

“I did. I don’t know what’s wrong with me. She’s a great girl and I love her, I really do.”

“Who was it?”

“Some girl I met at the store.”

“Once, twice?”

“A lot. I like her a lot.”

“Does Jalen know?”

“Yes, but she doesn’t know that we are still talking and I have seen her since”

“Davey!” Cammy quit polishing her toes and focused on her brother.

“I know, I’m a fucking jerk”

“You aren’t in love with her anymore Davey.”

“What?” Davey seemed confused.

“You aren’t in love with her. It’s
finite. Don’t put her through it again. Let her go. She’s my friend, and she does not deserve this. You don’t need a girlfriend right now”

“I know sis. I d
on’t love her like that anymore, but I do love her. I’m seeing her later and I’m going to break it off.”

“You should Davey” Cammy hugged her brother who clearly needed a hug.

“You fucking asshole!”

Cammy and Davey looked to her bedroom door and saw Jalen was standing there, how much she heard, they didn’t know.

“Babe, I’m sorry” Davey was getting up from the bed he was sitting on to go to her.

“Stay there Dave. Don’t touch me, come near me, don’t call, just stay the fuck away from me
. I can’t believe you did this to me again. I loved you.”

“I loved you too” Davey answered back.

“Yea loved, but not anymore. I’m done; you are screwing up my life Hudson. As for you Cammy, we don’t need to be friends right now either. Fuck you both!” Jalen screamed as she fled down the stairs and out of the house. Davey started to run after her until Cammy grabbed his arm, trailing behind him.

“Let her go Davey”

Davey stopped and stood in place for moment thinking to himself. He hugged Cammy.

“You’re right Cammy, as always. I’m letting her go because as she was standing there, all I could
think about was Aspen. I don’t love Jalen anymore.”

“Aspen?”

“Aspen, the girl I’ve been cheating with.”

“Oh, Aspen.”

“In fact, I’m gonna call her right now”

“Davey you are acting crazy.”

“No, I just opened my eyes. Love you Cams.”

“Love you too.”

“Hayden’s a cool guy. Glad you picked him.”

Before she could answer, Davey was on his cell and talking to Aspen.

Cammy went back to her room to prepare for her date with Hay. She wanted to be sad about Jalen not wanting her friendship, but she felt it had probably run its course anyway. Besides, all she could think about was her Hayden and getting him naked and reading the poems that they had written for each other tonight.

Hay was always on time. He always looked sexy and smelled like heaven.
They were so wrapped up into one another. He listened to her, cared for her; Cammy always came first, before his friends, anything. It was so hard to have him in her first period class and look at him and not want him to slide his hands up her skirt and take her right then and there in Penguin’s classroom. She trusted him completely and was truly in love with him, but had yet to tell him. She could tell he felt the same way, but wanted him to say it first. It was winter break and they had spent every waking moment that they could together, aside from Cammy working. Cams spent Christmas with her family, and then went to Hayden’s for a second dinner with his father Thomas. Thomas was a tall man, clearly highlighted brown hair, a full set of veneers and had the same green eyes Hayden did. He was short with his answers and didn’t talk much. They had no one over but me and it was a night of awkward silences, but I stuck it out. Thomas, or Dr. Brock, was a plastic surgeon. Dr. Brock was constantly gone in Hayden’s life, but he had always allotted him a hefty monthly allowance, and credit cards. At times, Hayden and Cammy would argue about the value of working and money, something he knew nothing about, but Hayden was also generous in giving Cammy presents and paying for anything she would let him. Hays father wanted him to go to med school and be in his practice, but he wasn’t sure that was for him. His dad would pay for a full ride through school and he would want for nothing. Cammy was scared she was going to lose him next fall, but Hayden said that he could never fathom not having her in his life.

“It’s
freezing!” Cammy was shouting at Hayden, watching her breath in the cold, winter air.

“Don’t you have a scarf?” Hayden asked her.

“Forgot it”

“Here baby” Hayden took his scarf off from his neck and wrapped it around her neck. She could smell his cologne all over
it and her body felt warm once again.

“Ready?”

“Let’s go”

Cammy locked up the
Beemer she and Davey shared together, a black 745 compliments of Dad. It was the only flash she really loved to drive and show off. Hayden was driving tonight. He was taking her somewhere special. They drove off and Cammy buried her nose into the scarf so she could just inhale his scent the whole way there.

“This is it baby”

They had pulled up to a small lake in Birmingham, frozen over, and freezing outside.

“Hay, I think it’s too small for ice skating” Cammy laughed.

“That’s not why we are here”

“Oh my gosh, Hayden, this is Bella Lake isn’t it? This is where we went after the party on our first date.” Cammy’s heart was dancing.

“Cammy, baby, I have wanted to tell you something for a long time now, but didn’t know how to, so we are here because this is our lake.”

Cam started to cry, thinking that Hayden was going to end things with her.

“Why are you crying sweetheart?” Hayden pulled her across the seat and into his arms.

“Are you breaking up with me? Like Davey and Jalen.”

“No baby, no. You are all I need.”

Cam wiped her tears from her eyes, sniffled her nose,
and then looked up into Hayden’s eyes.

“What is it then?”

He reached into his pocket of his red flannel that he was wearing and opened his hand to reveal a silver band, with a diamond in the middle of it.

“Hayden”
Cams stomach was in knots.

“Cammy, I want you to wear this, I want you to be mine,
and I want this to be a promise of forever.”

“Forever Hayden?”

“Yes, my promise to marry you, when I can give you the world. Cammy Sage Hudson, I am totally, truly, madly, and deeply in love with you.” He held the ring up with his fingers and kissed the band, then slid it onto Cammy’s ring finger on her right hand.

“Hayden, I am so hopelessly in love with you too. I have wanted to hear you say it for so long. I was afraid you didn’t feel the same way”

“Oh do I baby. I knew when I first caught your eyes with mine that it was done. I stopped breathing, if only for a second”

“I was going to tell you on my birthday last month, but
I waited. I knew you felt it too” Her eyes were welling full of tears.

“So I have your promise in return?”

“I promise you Hayden. Please kiss me now”

And with that command, he kissed her full, pouty lips that tasted like strawberry gloss tonight. Hayden felt so full inside, he loved Cammy with all he had and he felt it in return from her. He wanted nothing more than to stay in this moment and let the world pass them by.
