Sufi Order in the West

Established in London in 1910 by Hazrat Inyat Khan (1882–1927), from Baroda, India. He was succeeded by Pir Vilayat Inyat Khan (b. 1916), eldest son of the founder. The stated aims of the Order are to provide a vehicle for the transmission of spiritual truth in a manner that is consistent with modern, Western culture, and generally to act as a bridge between East and West.
