Lourna paused for a few seconds, then bursted out in tears. “What’s up, you o.k?” I asked.

“I’m ok, thanks, It’s just that I don’t really like doin’ this shit anymore. When I was a little younger it was o.k., but now I’ve grown a little older and I have my daughter to think about. I moved in with Mike because he asked me to make sure everyone else stays in check. After listening to Lourna talk, and finding out that she was a mother. I kinda saw her in a different light. She didn’t seem as sassy as the rest of the girls. I was becoming a little annoyed with her persistence, but I answered her question. “Yeah, I still love her, but she got caught up with some other cat so the shit just came to an end. Does that mean that I should stop lovin’ her?” Lourna paused and shook her head.

“Yea you should if she doesn’t love you and evidently she didn’t because she wouldn’t have done what she did. You see, I knew it, you are a good guy. I can tell by the way you used to treat her when I used to see yall together. It’s very rare that a woman finds a good man nowadays. It was like they never even existed.” She explained.

I was kinda overtaken by what Lourna just told me and I had to admit that I was a little frightened. Now I was feeling like I wasn’t too sure if I wanted to live like that, or like

How many guys have you known that to happen to?” I asked. “Only a few, but listen, these things we’re talking about has to stay between us, because you’re Mike’s responsibility and I don’t want him thinkin’ that I was trying to scare you or persuade you into doin’ something else, you understand?” She asked. “Something else like what?” I asked. “Something else like

becoming a Ghostrydr.” She explained. I thought about it for a few seconds.

“I understand.” I told her, even though I felt like I needed to talk to Mike about some of my newly found discoveries. As we both started getting dressed I started to think about some of the things that I could get if I was to get down with them, and all the money I could have. Besides it couldn’t be that bad. Or could it? I thought as Mike and Nikki stumbled out of the bathroom playfully.“Yo what’s up? We getting ready to roll out in a little while son, so y’all get yallselves cleaned up and let’s go get this money that’s out there waitin’ for us.” Mike said confidently. Nikki’s hair was slightly wet as she fixed her clothes and walked past me slowly.

Lourna went into the bathroom as the rest of us sat around, drank, and waited. After Lourna came out of the bathroom I went inside and cleaned myself up. I kept thinking about what Lourna told me and about some of the questions that I wanted to ask Mike. It seemed like everything was happening so fast and at the same time I kinda wanted to see how it would be like if I made a lot of money. So I decided to go along with this Ghostrydr thing to see if getting rich was possible. After we all got ourselves together and had a few more drinks we headed out to the club The Sparrow to take care our business.
