“Please, Babe.  I need to touch you!”

“Not yet.  I need to enjoy you first!”

Enjoy he did.  He could not get enough
of the honeyed taste of her breasts, her soft skin beneath his hands.  He
stroked slowly over her abdomen and felt the quiver as she sucked her breath in
with each inch he got closer to the treasures between her legs he was after.
God, how he ached to taste her there!  But not now.  Now, he needed to bury
himself inside her. Over and over again, until the ache he suffered from over
the past near four weeks have been expunged.

His fingers feathered over the length
of her cleft, before he slowly separated the folds and stroked slow circles
around her clit.  The circles drew smaller until he stroked her clit with slow
circular movements.  Her legs moved restlessly and she moaned.  He moved his
hand lower and pushed a finger inside her sheath, groaning when heat and
wetness gripped it within.  He pulled his finger out and coated her clit with
her wetness, stroking it with his thumb and pushed his finger back inside her,
and immediately a second.  He plunged his fingers in and out, his thumb
stroking her clit relentlessly.

Madison was on the edge of a precipice
and her hands clutched desperately at his hand holding hers still captive above
her head.  Her hips thrashed against his hand, her back arched and she moaned
as he pulled her breast deep into his mouth and scraped his teeth over the
surface as he pulled back to nibble sharply at the tip.  She cried out and he
gently soothed the sting with a long, deep suckling of her nipple, before he
gave the other the same treatment.  He kept feeding her need, her desires
higher and higher and just as she was on the verge of tumbling over the edge,
he would stop and bring her back.

“Please … Logan … please!”

He moved between her legs and held
himself above her, looking down at her, exquisite in her sensual need.

“Look at me, Wildcat.”

She opened her eyes and look into his
smoldering, passion filled eyes.

“I am going to let go of your hands,
but they have to stay where they are.”

“No … please Babe, I want to feel you
…”

“You will feel me, honey!  I promise,
but not with your hands.  If they move … I stop.  Is that clear?”

She nodded and bit her lip when he let
go of her hands and she gripped the headboard.  He watched her face when he
pulled a nipple in his mouth and sucked hard, and when her hands slipped,
harder.   She cried out and gripped the slates of the headboard harder.

“Logan … please … Now … I need you
now!”

He stroked his hands down her thighs
and gripped both her legs and pulled them up over his shoulders, opening her up
completely to him and she keened.

“Oh, God!  You are going to kill me!”

“Easy, Wildcat … easy …”

He soothed her when she desperately
tried to move her hips, but in this position he had all the control.  He needed
to be as deep as he could get inside her. She mewled long and hard when he
pressed into her, torturously slow.  He was so hard and deep inside her, she
could feel him all the way to her core.

He started moving then.  Slow, deep
strokes as he plunged in and out.  He closed his eyes and savored the tightness
of her sheath gripping him inside her, the quivering he felt along his full
length with every stroke into her body.  He opened his eyes and watched her.
She was panting, her bottom lip caught between her teeth and her eyes closed in
enjoyment.  He moved deeper, slammed into her hard and she keened and opened
her eyes, and objected loudly when he returned to his slow, deep and easy
plundering of her body.

“No … Babe!  I can’t … I need … oohh
…”

His fingers closed around one nipple
and he pinched at the same time as his fingers found her clit and pinched.  He
stroked his shaft deeper, slowly but deeply thrusting in and out and he felt
the tightening of her sheath walls around him and she mewled.  He pinched
harder, stroked faster and he watched her come apart in his arms as her climax
ripped through her so hard it felt as though she crushed him inside her and her
scream echoed through the room.

He thrust harder and deeper and felt
the pressure building inside him, his stomach tightened and the pain in his
sacks warned him he was close.  He pummeled furiously ten and his groin
tightened.  The pressure rose from deep inside him to rush through his shaft and
shoot his release deep inside her body.

Madison just managed to get her breath
back when his warm release shot inside her with so much force she cried out in
surprise as another climax clawed at her, relentlessly steeling her breath from
her.  Her back arched in a tight bow against him.  Her head pressed back into
the pillow and everything went black for a moment, then bright spots of light
brought her back and she gasped desperately to pull air into her lungs.  Her
hands gripped his arms and she felt faint, her whole body still taught and
panic set in.

“Lo … gan …”

He looked at her, still trying to
catch his breath, his body still tightly wired.  He saw the panic in her eyes
and realized she couldn’t breathe, her release was that intense.  He slowly
lowered her legs, but remained between them, still pressed inside her.  He
lifted on his elbows and softly stroked her temples.

“Easy, Wildcat … easy … breath, slowly
… I’m here … relax my love.”

He thrust slowly in and out, his shaft
still hard even after his release, until the tremors inside her subsided and
her breathing became normal. Their eyes met and time stood still.  Hers
glittered in the moonlight and her body tightened as if readying to push him
off.  He leaned harder into her and suddenly he had to see her.

He reached over and switched the
bedside lamp on.  Their eyes were still locked on each other and he breathed in
slowly.  Anger bubbled inside him.

“No, Madison.  It was not a mistake.
You needed this as much as I did.  You will not utter the words and I forbid
you to even think them!”

“Logan, it … I …”

She could not put her irrational fears
that suddenly took over her thoughts into words.  She did know that what they
just shared was not something that happened to just anyone.  Logan being the
man he was with commitment issues and sleeping with a variety of women … that
was where her fears were centered.  She knew this time; she was setting herself
up to be hurt.  To maintain her sanity, to protect her vulnerable heart, she
responded in the only way she knew would pull him from her body.

His fingers closed over her lips
before she could utter the words.  He shook his head and smiled at her
knowingly.

“It won’t work, Madison, so don’t even
try.  But I am going to leave you now.  Clearly you need some time to get used
to us.”

“What do you mean us?”

“Being lovers.  Now that I’ve had you,
I want you again and being so close is convenient if nothing else.  No one
needs to know.  I’ll be discreet and …”

“Get out!  I think you better leave
right now.”

She struggled and kicked until he
sighed heavily and pulled out of her and sat on the side of the bed, watching
her cover her nakedness with a pillow.  A sardonic smile curved around his
lips.

“If you for one moment believe I am
one of your floozies, think again, Logan Dalton.  I might have … oef …
scratched your bloody itch once … but be assured, it will not happen again!”

He reached for her, but she jumped off
the bed on the other side.

“I said leave!”

He smiled at her.   “You were not a
virgin, Wildcat, so you know as well as I do, what we shared tonight, is not
something that comes along very often.   You’ll be back, begging for more.”

“Oh, you arrogant … get OUT!”

She grabbed the other pillow and
hurled it at his head, which he easily dodged.  He bent down and picked up his
jockeys and pants and pulled them on slowly, his eyes on her the whole time.
He walked to the door and turned to look at her long and hard.  A smile twisted
his lips.

“You are one hell of a woman,
Wildcat.”

He turned and walked away, his voice
floating to her down the passage.

“Remember we need to leave at nine in
the morning for the trip to Houston.  Make sure you’re packed for the weekend.
We might end up staying over.”

Madison did not move for long after
Logan left.  She felt empty.  She has never experience such pleasure as she did
in his arms.  She also realized it was because it was more than just physical
involvement.  She did the most stupid thing a person could do.  She fell in
love with him.  Within a short period of four weeks she lost her heart.  To a
man that did not believe in commitment, to a man who liked variety … on his arm
and in his bed … to a man that was her boss!  Worst of all … to a man who did
not believe in love!

And even though she was on the pill, a
man who she had hot sex with twice … unprotected!

Just as the thought flashed through
her mind Logan stomped back into the room.

“Are you on the pill?”

“It is a bit late to be concerned
about that now, isn’t it?”

“Answer me!”

“You can relax, Mr. Dalton.  I won’t
be trotting up your porch with a baby in my belly.  I should have known better,
however.  According to the tabloids you fall from one bed to the other.  Do I
have anything to worry about?”

His jaw was rigid and he cursed.

“You should not believe everything you
read in the tabloids.  I am very careful and clean.  I never, and I repeat
never have sex without protection.  You are the first one.”

“Ahhh … I feel so special!”  Her voice
dripped with sarcasm.

“Show me.”

“What?”

“Your pills.”

She gaped at him, not believing what
she heard.

“You … I don’t believe it!  You think
I’m out to … how do they put it … catch you!”

“It won’t be the first time.  I have
learned the hard way never to trust a woman.  Now, Madison!”

“No.  I have nothing to prove to you.
Least of all my trustworthiness.  Let me assure you, Logan Dalton, even if I
were pregnant, the only thing you will see from me is my heels as I leave the
country!”

Before she could blink he was in front
of her and pulled her up against him with his one hand behind her head, the
other wrapped around her throat, forcing her eyes to stay on his.

“I am warning you, Madison.  If you
were to carry my child, you WILL tell me.  Any child of mine will grow up with
both his parents in his life.  Do you hear me?”

His voice was rough and hoarse.  His
eyes burned into hers, waiting for her answer.

She nodded and silently cursed
herself.   With his mother’s history and after what she just said, she had
placed herself in the same category as the one woman he hated above all.

Chapter Six

Shane
glanced from the one to the other and shook his head.  The atmosphere between
Logan and Madison was so thick he could cut it with a knife.  She barely looked
at Logan when they got into the helicopter, but greeted Shane with a friendly
smile and chatted with him nonstop.

Logan sat staring out the window, next
to him.  He never sat in the back!  He shot up in his seat.

“What are you doing back here, big
bro?”

Logan grunted, but did not bother to
respond.  He frowned.

“Madison?”

“Maybe I have suddenly grown horns.”

Shane stuck his head around the seat,
and looked back at Logan.

“Nope, no horns.”

“Maybe it is my new perfume.”

Shane leaned closer and sniffed in her
neck.

“Wow … That is some potent perfume.
Hmm …  hey!”

Shane complained when Logan grabbed
him by the neck of his shirt and threw him back against the seat. He glared at
him for good measure.

“Okay … maybe you’re right.  It is
your perfume.”

“Or maybe I am just trying to keep
from wringing her bloody neck!”

“Now I am curious!  Do tell big bro!”

“Curiosity killed the cat, little
bro.  Now kindly shut up, your incessant chattering is giving me a headache.”

“Well, do you blame me?  Come on, out
with it!  You took him and Deidre to Dallas last night, didn’t you, Maddy?”

She just landed the chopper and did
the shut down before she responded.

“Yes … and I would prefer never to be
reminded of last night ever again, if you don’t mind.  I’d rather forget about
it altogether!”

Shane huffed and jumped from the
chopper.  Before Madison could follow, a hard hand closed around her shoulder.

“Look at me.”

She turned her head and his eyes
caught hers, burning fire at her.

“If there is one thing I never would
have thought of you, it’s that you’re a hypocrite.  You, my Wildcat will not be
able to forget last night and neither will I.”

He leaned closer and kissed her hard
and possessively on her mouth before he turned and got out of the chopper.  She
closed her eyes and forced her thundering heart to slow down before she handed
the chopper over to the ground controllers and walked with dragging feet to the
Jet already warming up a short distance away.  She hoped he stayed in the back
all the way to Houston as well.

Lady luck was on her side.  He sat
working on his laptop the whole trip, but then turned the tables on her again
when they stood next to the SUV they rented for their use.

“In the back, Shane.  Madison is quite
an adequate chauffeur.  She’ll drive us around.”

Madison glared at him and he raised a
sardonic eyebrow her way.  Shane looked from the one to the other and sighed
heavily.

“You do know it is no fun to be the
only one left in the dark!  You’re sure Maddy?”

“I believe I do not have much of a
choice.  As I was told last night … I am your employer, I give an instruction,
and you carry it out!”

She deepened her voice in imitation of
Logan’s and Shane burst out laughing, ignoring Logan’s glare.

“You said that to her?  You?”

He couldn’t stop laughing until Logan
clobbered him on the back of his head.  He sobered and glanced at his brother.

“Even tonight?

“Even tonight.”

“You do remember that you invited
Dottie to join us for dinner?”

“Yes and your point are?”

Shane glanced at Madison who stiffened
and her glare incinerated Logan.

“No, I will not!  Do you hear me,
Logan Dalton!  I will not!”

He just grinned and got into the back
seat, forcing her to play the role of chauffeur once again.  She grumbled and
got in behind the wheel, stabbing the address Logan passed on into the GPS.
She took off with a screech of tires and the two men in the back grabbed the
safety belts and clipped them in.   Suddenly she slammed on the brakes and they
grunted as they were thrown back by the safety belts.  Her hands gripped the
steering wheel until her knuckles turned white.

“Who is Dottie?”

She ground the question through
clenched lips.  Logan smiled broadly, but refused to answer.  Shane of course,
was a source of information.

“Oh, she is an old flame of Logan’s.
They always revive the … embers when he is in town.”

She swung her head around so fast, it
was a wonder she did not slip a disc.  Her eyes burned into Logan’s, who tried
as he might, could not get rid of the smile on his face.

Shane watched the interlude with
fascination.  Clearly something happened between the two he was not privy to.

“Not this time they’re not!”

Logan’s eyebrow rose and Shane smiled
for the first time.  Maybe his brother has met his match at last!

“We’re not?”

“They’re not?”

The brothers asked in unison.
Madison’s eyes remained on Logan; the warning and message in hers very clear to
see.

“Not it you know what is good for
you.”

“Then I suppose you will have to join
us for dinner.  Did you bring an evening dress, Wildcat?”

“I am not joining you for dinner.  I
am your employee, not your chattel.  I pilot your planes and chopper and now
drive your damn cars.  I’ll be damned if I have to choke on food while watching
you flirt with … Dottie!”

She turned back and the car shot
forward.

“What kind of name is Dottie in any
case!”

The laughter in the back seat incensed
her even more and she took the next turn so sharply the seatbelts nearly cut
the air from their lungs.

“Maddy, please remember I am also in
the car and I am totally innocent, I promise!  Would you please slow down?”

“For you Shane, anything you ask.”

“Anything?”  He asked with interest.

“NO! I warned you in the Bistro
already, Shane!”

“But she …”

“She nothing. She has no bloody idea
what she wants!”

She slammed on the brakes and snatched
her head around to glare at him.

“I know bloody well enough what I
want!”

“Really?  So enlighten us then.”

“What I want, Logan Dalton, you can’t
give me!”

“How do you know?”

She barked a laugh and parked the SUV
in front of the office block where their first meeting was to be held.

“If you hurry, you might still be on
time.”

Logan glanced at his watch and cursed.
He hated arriving late for meetings.  They grabbed their bags and ran into the
building. Logan took the time to tell her over his shoulder.

“We’ll continue this conversation
after the meeting.  In the meantime, behave yourself!”

She groaned and dropped her head on
the steering wheel.  What beseeched her?  Last night she came to the conclusion
that she and Logan did not want the same things.  They had one exquisite night
together.  A night she would never forget, but that was it.  No more!  She
decided from today it was employer and employee and nothing else!  And what did
she do?  She acted like a … like a … jealous wife!

A knock on the window shook her from
her musings and she lifted her head.  Concerned blue eyes locked with hers and
she sighed.  She pressed the button and the window whizzed open.

“Are you okay, Miss?  You seemed
distraught.”

“I am fine, thank you for asking.”

“Name is Owen Brown.”

She shook his hand briefly.  “Madison
Phillips.”

“Are you waiting for someone or do you
have time for a quick cup of coffee?  There is a coffee shop right there on the
corner.”

“I am waiting for someone, but their
meeting is scheduled for an hour.  Why not?  I could do with some coffee.”
She locked the car and walked with him to the coffee shop.

He was tall and lean with blond hair
and clear blue eyes.  He had a friendly open face and she knew he was the type
of person one could trust.

“So Madison Phillips, tell me a little
about you. You seem to be wearing some sort of uniform?”

“I am a pilot, recently from American
Airlines.  I now work as a private pilot.”

“So are you for rent?  If I need
someone to pilot my plane, can I call you?”

She laughed and could just imagine
what Logan’s reaction would be to that.  She shook her head.

“I’m afraid not.  My boss keeps me
quite busy.”

She enjoyed his company and relaxed
for the first time in months.  They talked about various topics and even had a
heated debate about politics.

“Well, I give up!  Clearly you are too
clever for me! I need to go and study before our next chat!”

She laughed and froze when her eyes
met Logan’s over Owen’s head.  She glanced at her watch and realized their
meeting must have finished ten minutes ago already.  He was livid and his eyes
shot daggers at her.

“I do not appreciate tardiness from my
employees, Miss Phillips!”

She smiled apologetically at Owen and
said goodbye to try and leave before Logan let loose the anger clearly visible
in his eyes.

Owen turned and his eyes widened.

“Logan!  My goodness!  Fancy meeting
you here.”

“Owen.”  He nodded at Owen and shook
his hand.  His eyes swung back to her and he nodded outside

“Shane is waiting by the car.”

She nodded, smiled at Owen and skirted
around Logan and walked briskly to the car.  Shane watched her approach with an
angry flush on her cheeks.  Whatever happened between these two, unlocked
serious emotions to run between them.  He hoped they sorted it out before they
killed one another!

“I am sorry you had to wait.  I lost
track of time.”

She pressed the key and the alarm
deactivated and unlocked the car.  They both got in and she sat watching the
two men just exiting the coffee shop.   They shook hands and Logan stalked
towards the car.  Shane drew a deep breath.

“You lost track of time because of
Owen Brown?”

“Yeah, I guess I did.”

“Oho … If I can give you good advice.
For my sake as well as yours … do not sass him now.”

“Why?  What are they to each other?”

“They are natural enemies! It does not
take a lot to trigger animosity between them.  Trust me in this, Madison.  My
brother might appear normal, but he is livid at the moment.  You do not want to
… just please do as I say!”

Logan got in the car and slammed the
door.  His eyes immediately burned on her, but she refused to turn her head, or
even glance in the review mirror.  She already coded their next stop into the
GPS and knew it would be tight, but come hell or high water, they would not be
late for this meeting.  She pulled out of the parking area and soon they were
on their way to The Hilton Hotel in Dallas Street, where the Daltons were
meeting numerous key customers of theirs.

They were also staying at the hotel,
so at least she could go and hide in her room as soon as she delivered them
safely.  She kept her eyes and concentration on the road and only listened with
half an ear to Shane talking and asking questions about the funding project
they were going to discuss at the conference.  Her ears perked up.  Funding and
banking was her forte for years, so she still automatically paid attention when
someone brought it up.

Dalton Oil committed to cleaning up
the soil and water in Texas. This would set them well apart from other oil
companies in that they were spending more time and money on environmental
clean-ups across the Globe than any of their opposition.  Therefore they had
the support of the Government as well.   They have allocated fifteen million
dollars from their own funds to this project and the aim of this conference was
to obtain buy-in and funds from Customers to fast track the project.

They wanted to create a benefit fund,
that would turn this into the largest such benefits fund in Texas, which was
why they allocated such a large sum themselves to start up the fund.  The
process was structured to provide maximum public participation to ensure that
the project provided clear environmental benefits to Texas, based on the
priorities identified by Texas residents themselves.

Once they have the buy-in from their
customers they would approach Financial Institutions for additional funding.
It would be a no return funding as the benefit was in the participation of
clearing up the environment.

“I read somewhere that the World Bank
has embarked on a major Environmental Sustainability Strategy.  They have set
aside thirty billion dollars for specific clean-up projects.  Of course other
financial institutions are now offering similar strategies to keep on par with
them.”
