Chapter
13

I looked out the window and my mother parked her car.

My mother got home
and plopped down on the couch.

“All sacrifice to nothing!
” she grumbled

“
Sacrifice?” I asked innocent.

“Your blood test
was made in vain” she said to me,

“
I didn’t understand”, I said.

“
The doctor disappeared there’s weeks, Nobody knows where he’s now, much less your blood test.”

“Did the doctor
disappear?” I asked being sure about the answers; after all, I saw when Eros killed the doctor.

My
visions revealed me the murderer.

“
That‘s weird. Why would the doctor disappear this way?” she stared at me.

“He could be
gotten into mess.” I said normally.

“It
might be...” she finally agreed.

“Did they
comment only about it?”

I
wanted to be sure about Eros; he wasn't between the investigation’s targets.

“
No one knows anything; even the delegate doesn’t know the cause of his disappearance.”

Chapter 14

I was in my room and sat on the bed; I was reading some pages in my journal. For one ghastly moment, I was reminded when, I‘d met Eros.

My thought was interrupted when I noticed the presence of my mother, she was standing in front of my bedroom’s door, and she was looking at me.

“What happened?” I asked, seeing her looking at me.

“
Happened nothing, I like to see you”, she said, her face was thoughtful.

“
It is not so bad.” I said, returning to my reading.

“
Valkyrie!”

I gazed into her eyes, apprehensive.

“I’d been thinking about we leave that town”, she said, carefully.

“
Leave that town?” I rose, taking my journal. “Why?”

“We aren’t safe here, with everything that is going on right now... strange things.”

“We aren’t safe in nowhere.”

“I have really decided to do it”, she said.

“No, mom, we didn’t leave that town”, I said, decided.

“Valkyrie, you have never been against my decisions”, she said, surprised.

“That's right, now it's time for me to decide what is good or bad for me” I said.

“
Valkyrie, you are also transformed” she said.

“I’m sorry”
, I said and lowered my head.”I do not belong to you” I said sadly.

“Why are you talking about this, daughter?
” she asked me and her eyes were wide.

“
Forget what I told!” I tried to outline what I said to my mother.

“Are you thinking of leaving me?
” she asked, worried.

“
I'll not do that”, I replied thinking I had done it before.

“
Then you will go with me wherever I go”, her voice was authoritative.

“
We'll stay here”, I said, resolutely.

“Why do not you want to go away from here?
” she insisted.

“
I like this place”, I said as my mind got the image of Eros.

“
You're right...so we'll be here”, she finally said.

“And do not worry about me, I know to defend myself”, I said.

“You act as if you have supernatural powers”, my mother joked.

I said nothing. Just I came back to open my diary.

I had the supernatural domain, and she did not know it.

Chapter 15

Mirta
went to town with her classmates to watch a movie. She had called me to go along with her. But I thought it was best I don't go.

Avoiding accumulations of people it would be the best thing to do.

She left the movies, accompanied by three girls.

They made several comments about the movie.

The four girls walked on towards the main street.

Mirta
stopped walking so she saw something across the street, staring at her.

“
Eros”, she said confused. She did not expect his presence at that time.

“
What did you say?” one of the girl asked

“
Eros is across the street”, Mirta said to her colleagues.

“
He has not attended school”, other girl commented.

Eros waved his hand to
Mirta come to him.

“
He wants to talk to me”; she said and crossed the street and approached the young vampire.

Her
friends were across the street, watching them.

Eros wore dark clothes.

“Eros”, she said as she approached.

“
You here ...” he said looking at her pink dress.

“
I came to watch a movie with my classmates. So I called Valkyrie to come together, but she declined.”

He continued watching her; he showed no interest in knowing about me.

“Valkyrie said me you went to visit your parents.” she said.

“
Yes ... I came on yesterday”, he said.

“
Valkyrie will love to know this”

“
She already knows”, he alleged.

“She said me nothing about is return”, she said.

“Can we talk somewhere else?” Eros asked looking straight ahead.

“
Yes”, Mirta replied innocently.

She thought that Eros wished to talk about me.

Mirta motioned for her friends to go away.

And they went away and left
Mirta in the company of Eros.

The two went on, walked to a small square.

A bench mad

of wood and some pigeons walking on the floor. She sat on the bench and he was standing.

“Do you want to know about Valkyrie?” she asked.

“
No”, he answered and his voice was coolness.

“No?
” her face flushed. “So what are we doing here?”

“
I wonder about you”, he looked at her intensely.

“
What about me?”

“
It is about you”

“
Why do you want to talk on me and don’t on Valkyrie?”

“
Forget Valkyrie!” he ordered.

“
She is my friend”, she said.

“
She is my friend, too”, he affirmed.

“
I thought ...” she said, confused.

“Did you think what?”

“I thought you like her”, she insisted.

“And I like ...
” he said naturally.

“
I'm relieved”

“
Not the way you're thinking”

“
Do not you feel for her what she feels for you?” she asked, surprise.

“
No”, he replied coldly. ”And she knows it.”

“Valkyrie is in love with you, though she never said me anything.”

“I know”, he walked into the middle of the square. “She knows I cannot return what she feels for me.”

“
She doesn't deserve it.”

“I cannot impede it”, he confessed.

“Is that why you called me to talk?”

“
No”, he said.

Mirta
got confused. Eros was depicted mysterious all the time. He did not carry the same face of the young man who went to school. I was more bold and attractive.

And those feelings bothered her. She could not wish the boy that her best friend was in love.

Chapter 16

Mirta remained standing beside the wooden bench. She held the skirt of her dress as she had knowledge of Eros’s approaching.

He stopped in front of the girl and looked into her eyes.

She attracted him.

Unlike me, who did not cause him any effect?

Two pigeons flew and Mirta looked at them, hoping to divert her gaze from Eros.

The hands of the vampire grabbed the girl's face and made her look again at him.

Mirta made a retreat to feel his cold hands touching her delicate skin.

But she could not escape the clutches of the seductive vampire called Eros.

Then he kissed her lips.

This damn kiss made me shed other tear of blood.

I was not in place. But I could feel and see all scenes from the event. And that’s because Eros has a strong connection with me, from the moment he sucked my blood for the first time.

I was
at my bedroom window holding strongly the fabric of the curtain and I could not go after the two and make a mistake.
