He begins to talk again, but I shut him up with my lips colliding into his. He tastes even better than he smells. I catch him off guard and it takes him a few seconds before he begins moving his lips with mine. His wet tongue darts out running the seam of my lips before I open up to him and let him explore my mouth.
I moan into him, feeling our passion heat up. Clancy grabs my ass, hoists me up until my legs wrap around his middle. My hands scurry until they’ve locked onto his shaggy golden locks. I can tell we’re moving, but am too wound up in our kiss to even give a fuck.
He gently pulls back until we’re nose to nose. “I’m not going to be able to stop, Blanche.”
“Then don’t, Clancy.”
“I’m serious. Once this starts, I’m a goner.”
“A goner with a boner, that’s how I like you.” I smile onto his lips.
I place a gentle kiss to his lips and repeat the action, over and over, angling my lips differently with each tender kiss.
“I’m really fucked up in the head right now, Clancy, but I need this and I need someone like you who is willing to let me lean on them while I heal.”
“I’ll take it.”
Our lips crash together again as Clancy lays me down on his couch and then covers me with his long lean body.
“Wait.” I push back on his shoulders prying him up from me.
“What?” He scratches the side of his head like a cute little schoolboy who just got busted.
I tug on the hem of his shirt, drag it up over his back muscles, pull it over his head, and toss it up in the air.
“God, I have to feel you.” I run my palms along the smooth ripples of muscles and then push him up a bit to lazily drag my pointer finger along the ridge of each indent of his six-pack.
Perching up on my elbows, I use my tongue and follow the same course until I meet his belly button and feel his strong hands pushing me back down into the couch.
“I don’t think so, Blanche, tonight I get to devour you. I’ve thought about this for years.” His face dips down in the crook of my neck. He places kisses and swirls his tongue around sensitive skin. My hips buck up into him, moan after moan escape me until I can’t take much more, but Clancy just moves to the other side of my neck and repeats his actions.
His hand snakes up my shirt until he’s palming one of my breasts through my barely there, lacey bra. Heat radiates through to my flesh causing me to heat up even more with his touch. This man has me in his trance and I should be scared, saying no, and running, but with each of his touches and sweeps of his tongue, I melt into him letting go of my worry and falling into him.
My top is the next thing removed and tossed up into the air, and shortly after my bra follows. Our bare chests brush against one another with each passionate kiss and my hips keep bucking up to meet his. A strong sensation blossoms down under that needs to be released.
Is this right? I’ve barely been divorced a month, in town for three days, and I’m preg…
“What’s wrong?” Clancy huffs out trying to catch some air while wiping away the hair from his forehead.
“I want this. I really do, Clancy. It’s just…”
He plants the hand that was just brushing away his gorgeous blond hair on the side of my head, raising himself a bit higher from me with a defeated look blanketing his face. It’s more than defeated and more like shattered.
I reach up and cup each side of his face with my hands and watch even more heartbreak wash over him.
“It’s not you or…” I don’t know what to say or even begin to explain how I feel or my circumstances.
“Bullshit, Blanche, it’s because I’m Clancy Bogart who has one nut and is your little brother’s best friend. Beaver Fall’s most unwanted bachelor because he’s been an idiot for years waiting on something that will never happen.” He’s standing by the time he speaks his last word and staring out of the large bay window over looking a green meadow. He stands there for several minutes with his back to me and his hands laced through the back of his hair.
Each one of his words just shattered my heart. If I hadn’t been Blanche Morningwood with her blinders on set for L.A. back in the day, maybe I would’ve seen Clancy for what he was instead of who he wasn’t. Nope, I thought I was too good for this shit hole and destined for bigger and better things. When in reality a life here in Beaver Falls is something L.A. couldn’t even begin to offer me. Tears roll down my cheeks when I pull my shirt over my head and fight to adjust it back into place.
My palm brushes over my swollen belly and more tears escape. Using the backs of my hands, I do my best to wipe them away, so Clancy won’t see them, but when I look up he’s in the same position.
“Clancy, please let me explain.”
“No need, Blanche, I know the story all too well.”
“I’ve hurt so many people in the past and was a shit person for not staying in contact over the last years.”
“Ten. Ten years, Blanche.”
I ignore the sting of his correction and continue on. “Then I come back home and have to face it.”
“Blanche.” Clancy whirls around yelling my name. “I get it. Okay, I fucking get it. I’m not good enough for you and never will be. You’re the hometown pride, pretty girl and none of that equals a life with me.”
Tears have morphed into sobs, but I do my best to control them and take a step forward in my new life. The life where I have to wear big girl Blanche shoes and panties every single day, facing fears and conquering feats all on my own while being a good mother.
“I’m pregnant, Clancy, so the fact is I’m not good enough for you. I’d give anything to love you and wake up being loved by you, but life has a funny way of telling me no.” I drop my head and stare at the deep cherry red wood floor he’s placed to perfection.
Once outside the cool breeze tingles the wet tears streaming down my face. I begin walking down the long dirt road that leads back to town and know that I just opened a whole new can of worms telling him that I’m pregnant, but I didn’t want him to ever think he wasn’t good enough for me, in fact the reality is he’s too good for me.
My boobs bounce up and down in a steady rhythm with each step. Loud thundering footsteps stop me in my tracks and it takes every single ounce of willpower I have, not to turn around. I want it to be Clancy, but just know it’s a bear that’s going to tear my flesh from my bones and eat me alive to relieve me from this horror show.
“Blanche.”
I freeze.
“Jesus, woman you walk fast.” Clancy steps in front of me and holds up my very lacey and very neon pink bra. “You forgot this.”
I offer up a weak smile and snatch it from his hands. “Thanks.”
The next step feels like I have thousand pound weights strapped to each ankle and then each one after that feels even heavier. Clancy wraps his hand around my wrist and tugs me back to him. His blue eyes bore holes into mine as he stares down at me. The anger has vanished and I’m not quite sure what has returned. He drops his forehead to mine.
“Let me take care of you.” He dips his face back down to mine until we are nose to nose.
“It’s not your problem and I shouldn’t have let it get that far back there, but…”
“Wait.” He places his finger over my lips. “Let me be that ‘but’ you were about to talk about. I’m begging. We can go slow.”
“I’m pregnant.” I burry my head and sob into his chest.
Clancy’s strong arms pull me into him. His hands rhythmically run up and down my hair soothing me a bit.
“It can be my baby, Blanche.” Clancy pulls me in tighter. “No one will need to know, and I’ll start showing up at soccer practice and hanging out at your parents. We’ll make this work to where nobody will know.”
I remain silent in his arms and continue to cry for several moments, before finally pulling away and speaking.
“I caught him for the ninth and final time with his secretary in his office. I told him I was leaving. The next day he’d served me papers for a divorce and absolving all custodial rights away to Sadie.” Clancy’s arms drop to his side and then his hand slides in perfectly with mine. “I hate myself for marrying that bastard. I’m sick for Sadie and now this baby.”
Before I know it we are nearly back to his porch walking hand in hand with the setting sun as our backdrop.
“Only Queenie knows how bad the marriage was and that I’m pregnant.” Saying that out loud, stings.
Clancy remains silent, leading us in long steady footsteps back through his front door. I wait for him to answer me or even acknowledge anything I just poured out, but he doesn’t. He leads us down the long hallway then up the spiraling staircase to the master suite.
“I want to show you something.” He lets go of my hand, and walks over to his oversized mahogany nightstand and pulls out a drawer.
“I tucked this away, knowing you might come over tonight.” He places a small sterling silver picture frame on the top of the stand. It’s my senior picture made out to Clancy preserved in a delicate etched frame.
“I love you, Blanche, and that’s all that matters right now.” He closes the distance between us. “It’s a new beginning.”
He pulls me into him, cradling me in his arms while guiding me back to the bed. I let him lead each move and gesture. He’s bathing me in his love and presence with each sweep of my hair and caress on my skin.
My insides swirl in mixed emotion as he effortlessly undresses me. It’s the first time I’ve never been ashamed of my skin or picked at a certain body part. Under Clancy’s gaze, I feel powerful. It’s the first time I’ve ever truly felt loved by the opposite sex.
I collapse back onto the bed with his mere touch and then am immediately covered by his skin. He opens his mouth to speak, but it’s me this time hushing him with my finger. Reaching down, I find he’s very much ready.
I take my time and stroke him from base to tip, impressed with his girth.
“I promise I won’t blow so easily this time.” He drops his nose to mine.
A ridiculous chuckle snort combo escapes me. “Prove it.”
I guide him to my center and then feel his hand wrap around mine on his cock. Clancy’s hips slowly sink into me. I feel him inch by inch and can’t help the way it makes me feel. It’s a combo of his ice-blue stare and the feeling exploding in me.
My fingers clutch to his blond hair and pull his face down until our lips meet. I match each one of his thrusts with my mouth. Moaning and kissing harder as he speeds up, my hips grind up to meet the base of his cock, creating the perfect amount of friction to tease my release.
“Hold on, Blanche.” Clancy’s fingers dig into my hips and then he rolls us over.
My head spins with the quick movement, my hands dig into his chest trying to steady myself.
“Show me if you want this? If you want us?”
In the oddest of moments, tears begin to roll down my cheeks, and the last thing I want to do is send Clancy the wrong message. I begin to slowly roll my hips back and forth, slow at first then picking up speed. My nails dig into the flesh on his chest as I quicken my pace and feel him expand in me.
“I need you, Clancy,” I moan out while riding him.
He grunts and sinks his teeth into his lower lip. His adorable blush colors both of his cheeks while his eyes are glazed over with an emotion I can’t pinpoint. When his fingers dip into my hips, I fall over the edge calling out his name with each wave of my orgasm. In a needy fashion, I ride out the very last ounce of my release until I shiver everywhere.
“Blanche. Blanche.” Clancy grits out and begins bucking up underneath me. It’s not tender, but hungry and ravenous. I push my hips down as far as they can go to meet each of his thrusts up into me. His cock pulses and grows inside me and I know he’s close which sets off another wave of pleasure in me.
“Clancy, I’m falling.”
“Fall, Blanche,” he grits out, then lets out a satisfying growl as he releases into me.
“Are you sure about this?” I ask, collapsing down on his chest with my chestnut waves enveloping us.
“Welcome home, Blanche Morningwood.”

Tiny Love
O
leander’s wails
echoed through the tiny guesthouse, though that wasn’t hard to do when four of us lived in a four-hundred square foot structure.
“Brady, can you put Ole on my boob? I promise I’ll get up in a bit,” I groaned, turning to my side with my boob popping out of my tank top.
With the first kid, I was always covered up when breastfeeding and now that we were down to the fourth, I didn’t care who saw my tits as long as my kid wasn’t screaming.
Brady didn’t answer and the only sound, underneath the shrill screams, was my four-year-old, Cypress, snoring from either the floor or the bed. God only knows where he ended up. Him, Willow, and Saige had some mattresses up in the loft, but they always ended up in our bed or sleeping at grandma and grandpa’s, who lived above the funeral home literally ten feet away from our front door.
I opened one eye then the other, staring at the sleeping, half-naked kid and over him at the waving arms hanging out of the bassinet.
“Fuck,” I muttered, slowly sitting up then walking over to the bassinet.
Like on autopilot, I changed Oleander’s diaper then put him to my nipple where he greedily attacked it and finally stopped screaming.
I glanced around the small bedroom and Brady was nowhere to be found.
He was either up all night at his parents, watching SportsCenter or he had a new business idea and I would have to deal with him being obsessed with a new project for a few weeks before he gave up.
We still had two chairs in our bedroom that were painted with some homemade chalk paint and another seven sitting behind the house from his last brilliant idea to become a furniture painter.
That ended when he realized he sucked at painting and no one was buying the furniture on Ebay or Facebook sale sites.
We also had a closet full of homemade paper, wire jewelry, and half-made Adirondack chairs that he thought he could make into different businesses. Eight years together and probably eighty different businesses, while I popped out four kids and worked at his parent’s funeral home.
While Oleander sucked his breakfast down, I made my way out of the bedroom and to the small living area that also doubled as a tiny kitchen.
Brady was hunched over the kitchen table, another refinishing project that he painted black and stenciled some flowers on that looked very phallic. His eyes were glued to his computer screen and his brown hair was stood up on all ends as if he’d been running his fingers through it for hours.
Oh yeah this was another business venture. Dammit.
“Hey, babe,” I cooed, putting my hand on his shoulder.
His shoulders tensed and he shut the Macbook before whirling around, his eyes widening before he took his glasses off and set them on the table. “Hey. I didn’t hear you get up.”
Raising an eyebrow, I adjusted Oleander. All it usually took was one look to get Brady to confess to whatever he had planned. It was how I always got my way, whether it be getting him to push Suzy Jackson off the swings in elementary school so it could be my turn, or our prom night, that turned into the conception of Saige. This ironically was the color of the dress that Brady ripped open in the back of the minivan to get to my panties.
“Just looking up an address. Clancy texted me this morning to see if I could help him out with some equipment stuff at the rec center, so I’ll be gone doing that all day.”
I blinked hard. “You’re going to miss Saige’s soccer game?”
Brady’s face fell and he ran his palm along his forehead. “Shit, that’s today isn’t it?”
“Does anyone besides me even look at the calendar?” I pointed my free hand toward the large, dry erase calendar that took up almost are entire living room wall. It was filled with the kid’s activities, my work schedule, and anything else that needed to be added in our crazy life with four kids.
Brady sighed and put his hands on my shoulders. “I’m sorry, babe. Tell Saige I’ll be there in spirit, okay? I’m sure you wouldn’t want me to interrupt girl time with you and your new soccer mom posse anyway.”
I wrinkled my nose. “You did not just call it a posse.”
He gave me that megawatt smile that always had me dropping my panties, and most of the reason the guy needed to get a vasectomy so I could stop getting pregnant. Four kids in eight years was killing me.
Leaning in, he kissed my forehead, then kissed Oleander’s chubby little arm that wouldn’t let go of my boob.
“I’ll see you tonight. Okay? Maybe I’ll even pick up a pizza for dinner.”
“Did someone say pizza?” Willow hung her curly head over the side of the loft.
“Only if you’re good at your brother’s soccer game,” Brady said, giving her the same smile.
Willow gave him a thumbs up before Brady walked out the front door, leaving me alone with a lot of questions.
