“I’m telling you, and you’d better believe me Travis, you and Abigail have to come back to Collie for the wedding.”

Travis Harper’s voice sounded skeptical as it answered at the other end of Louis’ cell phone. “You’re really serious? You’re going to marry Reyna?”

“Serious as a heart attack, brother. After she recuperates from the damage her body sustained, once she’s able to go out dancing again, I’ve got her set to wed. She already told me yes, even though some of it might have been drug induced.”

Louis knew how close he’d come to losing Reyna forever, how very close she’d been to death even as he’d pulled her sallow, weak body from a coffin. He would never forget the fear that she was already dead or the absolute joy that filled every cell in his body when she’d spoke to him. If she hadn’t changed him before, in that instant he’d been remade. His heart
beat just for Reyna and would beat for her for eternity.

“Fine, buddy. I assume you’re wanting to be my best man so that I‘m forced to be yours, right?”

Louis chuckled. “I’m the bestest man that ever lived, never doubt and you’re damn right I’ll be at your wedding.”

Louis hung up the phone, thinking that the world must be rotating in the other direction as the two most debauched men on
its surface were no longer on the market. He shook his head. The only thing left to do was to get ready. Everything was changing and he had to be prepared.
