“Just be careful. A pissed of woman can cause issues.”

Madison won’t hurt me like that. She knows trying to pull something this irresponsible won’t mean anything and it’ll make me hate her.

My phone rings. I go back to my desk and answer it. “Jacob.” I listen as Loga
n’s assistant, Francesca, tells me I have a visitor. “Yes send her in please.” I hang up the phone and look back at Logan, “Can we talk later?”

“Sure no problem.
Oh Hayden wants to know, chicken or fish?”

I let out a laugh, “Chicken is fine. Thank you.”

Logan nods his head before leaving my office. I wonder who is coming in and hope it isn’t Madison. The door slowly opens as she comes walking into my office. I tilt my head to the side and notice her natural beauty. She’s not the type of woman I normally go for but there’s something about her that pulls me in. She’s wearing black pants that hug her slim legs and curvaceous ass. Those heels would look sexy on her without the clothes. I look up and see the short-sleeved white button down she’s wearing. I wonder who she is and hope she’s my new assistant. I make my way over to her. I turn on my charms and give her my killer smile. “Can I help you?”

“Are you Jacob Greene?” She heatedly asks.

I look at her trying to figure out who the beautiful woman is. Her long brown wavy hair seems soft and elegant. She’s beautiful “Yes, here please have a seat. Can I get you anything to drink? Water? Coffee?”

She sits down and smoothes
out her pants. The way her hands run down her legs makes me feel tight all over. “No thank you, Mr. Greene. This isn’t a social call.” She stares me down. “You’re probably wondering who I am. Well, I can tell you I’m not one of your bombshell bimbos,” she laughs. Her eyes meet mine and all of a sudden I feel small and incompetent. No one has ever said anything like this to me. My curiosity peaks. She pushes her bangs out of her face. She gets up and slowly walks her way over to me. I straighten up and a part of me gets a little excited. I’ve never had a woman like her come into my life. I need to know more about her. She comes close to my face and can smell her light flowery scent. I want to take those plump sexy lips and bring them to mine. I want to tease her and show her pleasure. Those beautiful brown eyes look straight in my soul. Who is this wondrous woman? “You fired my sister Heather for no reason!” Oh shit. Her finger is on my chest. “You are a jackass, Mr. Greene. Heather did everything for you! I hope you can live with yourself!” She spins around and slams my door shut. I’m speechless. I lean against my desk and shake my head. My breathing constricts as I think about this beautiful woman. I want to see more of her. Her scent lingers in my office. I want to know more about her.

I turn to my computer and type in Heather’s information. I look up her contact information and see that her emergency contact is Abigail Anderson.

Abigail
.

I type in her name on the Internet and look up her information. She’s a second grade teacher at an elementary school.
Graduated from UNC with her bachelors and masters degree. I read more about this wonderful woman. She’s perfect and the rest of the afternoon all I can do is think of her.

That night at Logan and Hayden’s I tell them about Abigail.

“Uncle Jacob, why did you make her mad?” Mila asks while playing with her brownie. “You’re not a mean person. You’re my uncle Jacob. The
best
uncle ever!”

We all start laughing as Mila continues to eat her dessert. I run my hand through my dark brown hair and rub my tired eyes. “I don’t know what to do. I can’t get her out of my head.” I catch Hayden giving Logan an odd look. “What?”

Logan takes a bite of his dessert before answering. “Man, Francesca told me that Madison’s been outside looking for you. She’s in a black SUV. I think you need to end things with her before it gets too far.”

“What? No. Madison knows better.”

Hayden gets up to take Mila upstairs. “Alright sweetie, say good night to your uncle and daddy.” Mila comes over to us and gives her hugs and kisses. “Night Uncle Jacob. I’ll see you later!” She bounces in my arms. “I love you.”

“I love you too Mila.” I wait until Hayden and Mila are out of the dining room before talking more to Logan. “You’re crazy. She knows it’s just physical. There’s nothing there. I don’t want her like that. I can’t give her more.”

Logan shakes his head. “You’re blind.
She does
want you.”

Before I can answer, my phone vibrates.

Madison: I want you tonight Jacob. Come over. I’ll be ready.

Me: Not today.

Madison: Jacob I NEED YOU NOW.

Me: Madison, stop this. I’m with Logan right now and I’ve had a little too much to drink.

Madison: SO? I’ll come get you.

I see Logan watching me. “It’s nothing. She just wants to see me tonight. Don’t look at me like that.” I turn off my phone and change the topic.

The rest of the night goes by without the mention of Madison. I say good night to Logan and Hayden before getting in my car. When I get in, I take my phone out and turn it on. As soon as it loads, it starts vibrating. There are eight text messages from Madison. “What the fuck?” I open each text.

Madison: Jacob I’m sorry please come over.

Madison: Hello? Why aren’t you answering me?

Madison: Don’t I mean anything to you?

Madison: I’m sorry Jacob but I want you.

Madison: Why are you doing this to me? What did I do wrong?

Madison: Please Jacob don’t leave me.

Madison: Jacob?

Madison: I’m still waiting for you...

I shake my head as I finish reading each message. What the fuck did I do? Logan’s right, I do need to end this. She’s getting too close. I punch my steering wheel, “Fuck!”

I text Madison and ask her to meet me at
Tavern Seven
. Within minutes I park my car and start walking inside. I get to the bar and order scotch on the rocks. The bartender comes back with my drink, “Here you are handsome. Can I get you anything else?” I look into her dark brown eyes and see her smile. “No I’m alright but thank you, beautiful.” She strokes my hand before going to her next customer. I let out a quiet chuckle and drink the cold scotch.

“Jacob.” I turn around and see Madison standing behind me. She’s wearing a short dark green sleeveless dress. Her hair is tied to the side and she has a sad look on her face. Fuck, this might be harder than I thought.

“Madison, come sit next to me.” I gesture her to come sit down. Her eyes don’t leave mine. There’s tension in the air. All I want is to get this done and over with. “Would you like a glass of wine?”

She shakes her head. “No Jacob.”

“Alright.” I finish my drink and set my glass down. “Madison, I think we need to end this. I can’t give you what you want.” She lets out an uneasy gasp and looks away from me. “You’re too emotionally connected to me and I think we’re better off as friends.”

“Screw you Jacob.” Abruptly she gets up and knocks down the chair. I see her hand ready to come to my face. I quickly grab her arm before she could slap me. “Jacob let me go!”

“Madison, stop this.” I get up and face her. In a hush tone I start talking. “This is done. Over. I tried to be nice to you about this but you have left me no choice. I want you out of my life Madison. Just leave.”

Madison yanks her arm from my hand and storms out the door. I run my hand through my hair and let out a heavy sigh. The bartender comes back to me and tells me to sit back down. She brings me another glass of scotch. I quickly drink it and ask for another.

“Looks like you’ve pissed off another woman, Mr. Greene”

That voice. I know that voice. I turn around and see Abigail. I look into her brown luscious eyes and can’t look away.
“Why hello Abigail.”

She turns around and looks at me. “How do you know my name?” Her magnificent icy brown eyes are narrow as she looks back at me.

“I’m a man of many talents. Come sit with me and have a drink.”

“No,” she scoffs.

Normally I would back off but I’ve had a few drinks and feel confident I’m getting through to her. I get up from the stool and walk over to her. My face is inches from hers. She doesn’t move. I take her in and brush her hair from her eyes, “Have dinner with me tomorrow night.”

I can hear her breath hitch. A smile comes across her face. She runs her hand through my hair and trails them down to my face. She comes closer to me and whispers in my ear, “Not in your wildest dreams.”

Her hand brushes my hair and I feel something spark. I know she feels it too. My eyes meet hers. “Stay with me for a drink. It won’t hurt.”

She pulls her hand away. “I have to get going. Wouldn’t want to cramp your style.”

I get up from my stool and put my arm around her shoulders. She wiggles away and gives me a look of disgust. “Come on. I’ll walk you to your car. It’s dark out.
Stop being stubborn.” I hear her scoff but we walk out together. She tears her attention from me and looks forward. I know I’m getting to her. This is too fun. “So what are you doing tonight? It’s early.”

“Not that it’s any of your business but I have plans with Heather.” I know she’s forcing herself to not look at me.

“Well I’m going home tonight and working on some reports.” We get to her silver Toyota Rav4. She takes out her keys from her purse. “I’m glad to know you’ll be safe tonight. Have a nice evening, Abigail.” She gets in the car and I close her door. I give her a smile and pull out my phone to text Gary to come pick me up.

Chapter 6

Abigail

I roll on my side in bed and throw my arm over my head. It’s quiet tonight and the realization that I’m alone hits harder than other nights. “Gah!” I take the pillow from behind my head and throw it across the room. I can’t take the quietness so I get my laptop and turn it on. Once it’s loaded, I type in Jacob Greene and look through his pictures. He’s extremely sexy and I love his smile. Things are starting to feel weird and I’m dreaming of Jacob every night. At first, the dreams are innocent but now the dreams are leaving me breathless and wanting
more.
He draws me in and I can’t stop thinking of him. I can’t stop thinking about confronting him in his office. The way he looks stays on my mind. His smile. The way he touches his chin. Everything.

I feel myself getting wet. I’m home alone and Thor is lonely. I get up from my bed and close my door. I make sure it is locked before heading back. I pull out my nightstand drawer and pull out Thor, my large and thick pink electronic dildo. I pull down my cotton shorts, lie back down, lick my two fingers and bring it to my goddess. She loves Thor and my quick fingers. I slide them in and out
and let out a soft moan. Oh I’m so ready for this. I turn Thor on and hear him vibrating, “Oh I miss you too baby. Mmm get in me now!”

I rub Thor over my clit and loudly start moaning. I bring Thor inside me; slowly moving in and out. While Thor is having fun inside me, my two fingers rub my clit for double the action. I’m getting so wet and images of Jacob fucking me from behind while slapping my ass pop into my head. I vision his hard cock thrusting in me and making me scream his name.

“Oh god! Jacob!” I scream. I feel my orgasm building inside me. I move Thor faster and rub harder.  As my muscles tighten with the intensity of Thor and my touch, I come all over. The orgasm takes me away as I take out Thor and put him in my mouth. I move Thor in and out of my mouth. I push him all the way in and imagine deep throating Jacob. I start playing with myself again. Damn I need Jacob. I need him to make me feel like a woman; to make me feel whole.

*****

With each day that passes, I grow increasingly impatient thinking about when I’ll see Jacob again. I let out an appreciative sigh, thinking about each night with Thor while thinking about Jacob. My cheeks get pink and I start laughing quietly to myself.

I stand in my kitchen preparing dinner when Heather and Lucas come in. Lucas gives me a hug and looks up at me, “Mama! Aunt Heather took me to the park and we played Frisbee and we ran around. It was so fun!”

I put down the wooden spoon and set it aside. I get down on my knees and give my precious son a kiss on the forehead. “Sweetie I’m so glad. Can you go wash up and get ready for dinner?”

“Yes M
ama.” Lucas throws his littler arms around my neck, “you’re the best Mama in the whole world,” he whispers in my ear.

“You’re the best son in the whole world.” I squeeze his tiny body to mine and never want to let go.

“Okay Mama! Let me go!” He wiggles out of my arms and runs to the bathroom.

I get up and start stirring the pasta. “Thanks again Heather. I appreciate it. It’s almost the end of the year and I’m just so busy getting everything set up for meetings and planning the end-of-the-year party.”

Heather sits down and plays with her phone. I notice her silence but don’t say anything. “Why did you go see Jacob?”

Crap, I t
hink. Still stirring the pasta.

“Francesca texted me and said that you went into his office and yelled at him?”

“I didn’t yell, I just called him a few names.” I turn around and look at her. “I just want you to be happy. I’m your older sister and I want to protect you.”

“Ugh I know A but I need to figure this out for myself. I’m twenty-six years old. You don’t always have to protect me.”

A tear falls from my eye. I know she’s right but how can I not want to protect the second most important person in my life. I hate seeing her sad and broken. She’s too talented to feel this way. The feeling of pain and failure runs through me. I’m supposed to be caring for her and ensuring that no one hurts her. That’s the role of an older sister. We only have each other since our parents are in Florida.

Heather walks over to me and rests her head on my shoulder, “I love you big sis.”

“Love you too little sis.”

Dinner is ready and we enjoy the pasta with bread, broccoli and chicken. Lucas is happy tonight. My little guy keeps talking about the park and how he wants to travel the world.

“Lucas sweetie why do you want to go to Florida?” Heather and I look at one another as we laugh.

“Mama I mean Disney! I want to go on the rides. I want to meet Mickey and all of my favorite characters! Come on mama can we go please!”

“Yeah A, can we go? Please!”

I shake my head, “Yes sure no problem. I’ll pull money from the sky and we can all go and have fun!”

Heather and Lucas high five each other. My family is something special.

I help Lucas get into bed and he looks at me, “Mama?”

I push his hair to the side, “Yes baby?”

“When are you going to be happy?”

I’m taken aback from his question. Can he see how lonely I am? How I wish I had someone holding me through the night and telling me they love me? “Lucas honey. Mama’s so happy because she has you and Aunt Heather. You two are my world and we’ll always be together.”

Lucas sits up and blinks his eyes a few times before talking.
“But Mama. You are beautiful.” He touches my cheek with his little hand. “I want to see my Mama smile.”

I try not to break down in front of my five year old son. I clench my butt cheeks and count to ten in my head. “I love you baby boy. Mama loves you so much.” I bring him into my arms and hold him there for a while. This moment is our moment - our perfect moment.

After putting Lucas in bed, I decide it’s time to go for a run and clear my head. I put on my shorts, a tank top and sneakers. I stretch a little and then grab my iPod. I put in my ear buds, pick out my workout playlist and head out. I start running and breathing in the night air. “Tearin’ Up My Heart” by N’Sync rings through my ear. “Of course this song comes on,” I mutter.

I keep running. I shake out thoughts of Jacob. Focus on running, Abigail.

I make a left turn into the park. I keep running but more of Jacob comes to my mind. His face and voice plays through my mind. I slow down and put my hands on my head. Trying to catch my breath I start walking. I see a bench and make my way over. I sit down and look at the crystal clear lake. The calm water allows me to breathe in and out. I feel better. After a few minutes, I get up from the bench and start walking back home.

I make it back without any problems. Heather and Lucas are asleep so I’m quiet as I walk upstairs.

Bath time.

I walk into my bathroom, turn on the water, pour some bath salts and strip off my sweaty clothes. I get my phone and pick “How’s It Going to
Be” by Third Eye Blind. I turn off the water and step into the tub.

I feel my muscles relaxing and lean my head back. I listen to the words and start to cry.

“Ugh why am I being such a girl?” I wipe my tears when my phone starts to go off. I reach over to grab it when I see a text message from a number I don’t recognize. “What?” Puzzled, I open the message.

Unknown
: I hope you are well.

“What?” I quickly send
a response.

Me: Thanks but who is this?

Unknown: Ms. Anderson. I’m insulted and a bit hurt that you don’t know who this is.

My pulse quickens when I sit up in the tub.
Holy shit. Jacob Green is texting
me!
Why is he texting me? I try to steady my breathing but can’t stop the quivering breaths. “I can do this,” I whisper to myself.

Me: Ah, Jacob Greene now w
hy are you texting me?

Jacob: Feeling feisty tonight Ms. Anderson?

I can’t believe he has the nerve to sit there and text me. Why am I giving him the time and day? Palm to face, “Because you want this, Abigail,” I whisper. It is true. I do like that he is texting me but I don’t want to be his newest play thing.

Me:
How can I help you Mr. Greene?

Jacob: Just wondering how you’re doing Ms. Anderson.

Me: Well I’m enjoying a nice and quiet bath until I was rudely interrupted.

Jacob: Oh.
My apologies. Please, don’t let me keep you from your bath. I hope the water is nice enough for that beautiful body of yours.

My hand flies up to my mouth and a slight tingling runs through my body. With a groan, I find the courage to text him back.

Me: Well I guess that’s for me to know and you to never find out.

Jacob:
I beg to differ.

Me: What do you mean?

Jacob: I know I’m on your mind Ms. Anderson.

Me: You’re so full of yourself. I’m going to bed. Good night!

Jacob: Well, I hope you sleep well. Good night and sweet dreams beautiful.

Oh. Fuck. My.
Life.

I put my phone away and lower myself into the tub.
My head is pounding from the little game with Jacob. Why did he text me? I lean my head against the shower wall and play with the loofa in the water. I can’t process much at this point as I close my eyes tightly and remember the pain of being alone.

Ryan.

I lift my head out of the water and shake my head. I can’t think about Ryan anymore. He’s in my past and I deserve to move on and be happy. I lift up the drain stopper in the tub and slowly get out. I grab my towel and wrap it around myself. I head back to my bedroom and change into my pink cotton shorts and a plain black shirt. I get under my covers and my mind goes off the deep end again. I quickly sit up on my bed and text Heather.

Me: Are you up?

Heather: Yeah, just watching TV. What’s up?

Me: Can you come up to my room?

I wait for her response and am about to text her again when I hear footsteps close by. The door opens and Heather pops her head in, “You alright?”

I shake my head. “I need your advice.”

Heather comes into my room and sits on my bed. “Is it boy problems?”

I laugh. “Kind of
and let me know if you think I’m crazy.”

“Shoot.”

“So Jacob texted me and I texted him back and he’s all I think about! What the hell do I do?”

Heather covers her mouth and falls on my bed laughing. She sits back up and grabs my hands. “This is so great!
Okay, okay. So you
have
to play it cool. Jacob Greene is used to
always
getting what he wants so play the game
hard
!”

“What? What game?
And you’re not mad?”

“The love game, Abigail.
Don’t make it so easy. Let
him
chase
you
! If he texts you, wait a little bit before texting him. Play hard to get!” Heather excitement throws me back. She takes my hand, “Yeah it sucks that you’re falling for my ex boss but I’ll give anything to see you happy again A.”

“Thanks Heather.” We hug and it feels better knowing she’s on my side.

“Plus, I heard he fucks like a God!”

I fall back on my pillows and grab one to put over my face. I let out a yell and shake my head. Why is dating so hard?
Heather lifts the pillow from my face and smiles. “I can do this, right?”

“Oh yes you can and you will!”
