“Sounds good, Jacob. I can’t wait to see you. I need a few drinks after the day I’ve had.”

“Alright well you can tell me all about it soon. I’ll text you when I’m outside your apartment.” I hang up the phone without saying bye.

I send a text to Gary to get the car ready for us. I walk into the bathroom and splash cold water on my face before changing into jeans and a black slim fit polo. I take one last look at myself in the mirror and turn around to see if Katherine will show up but she doesn’t. I let out a heavy sigh and make my way out of my apartment. When I step on the concrete, Gary comes out and opens the car door for me. “Evening, sir.”

“Hi Gary, thank you.”
I get in and make myself comfortable. Gary comes around to the driver’s side, buckles his seat belt and starts driving. “Where to, sir?”

“Madison’s apartment.
You remember where it is right?” I ask, playing with my phone.

“Sure do,” his voice sounds off and I wonder what he’s thinking.

“Gary what do you think of Madison?”

There’s a pause before he answers.
“She’s a nice girl Mr. Greene. Why do you ask?”

Gary’s been driving for me for the past two years. I trust him and take his advice to heart. I look at the mirror and see him looking at me. “Do you think I should move on?”

“Mr. Greene, I think you should do what you feel is right.”

I laugh and look out the window. “Thanks Gary you’re always helpful.”

Before he gets out of the car he says, “Anytime.”

I hope I’m doing the right thing. I think about Katherine and hope this is what she would want for me.

We get to Madison’s apartment and I send her a text message letting her know I’m here. Within a few moments, she comes walking through the door and is smiling. When the door opens, I look over my shoulder and see Madison getting in. She’s wearing a black dress with a blue cardigan. Her hair is curly and her makeup looks flawless. She gets herself comfortable next to me before giving me a kiss on the cheek. Her soft lips touch my cheek, “I’m glad you asked me out tonight,” she seductively says while tenderly touching my arm.

I see her looking at me
with a smile on her face. “Thanks Madison. I thought it would be good for us to get some drinks together as friends. I know you said you had a bad day. What’s going on?” I look at her and see her smile disappear. “Hey what’s wrong?”

“Nothing Jacob.
Let’s just go get some drinks.”

We get to
Tavern Seven
and when we get out of the car, she loops her arm in mine. I don’t resist her or push her away. I open the door for her as we walk in. It’s dimly lit with music playing. There are people on the small dance floor but several are at the bar. The environment seems intimate which makes me nervous. I don’t want Madison to get the wrong idea. I’m not sure how I want this night to go. Madison does look sexy as hell tonight. The way her black dress hugs and shows her body makes my jeans tighten. I place my hand on the small of her back and lead her to the hostess. I look down and see her round ass. I quickly look up and shake some sense back into myself.

We’re greeted by the hostess and taken to our table. “I love it here. It’s so nice.” Madison moves closer to me so we share a menu. I start feeling uneasy. I don’t feel anyt
hing for her but I can’t stop thinking of about things I want to do to her or how she tastes.

Our waitress comes over and we put in our drink orders. Madison orders a dirty martini and I stick with a scotch on the rocks. “So are you going to tell me what’s going on with you?” I move
a piece of hair from her face. Her face is so soft. There’s something in those hazel eyes of hers and I’m drawn in. She takes my hand and brings it to her heavenly lips.

Madison looks at me
but I can’t read what she’s thinking. She starts smiling, “Nothing important. Everything is better now. I just needed to get out of my apartment and get some drinks.” She slowly licks her lips. “You know Jacob, I’ve been thinking about us lately.”

I gulp. “What do you mean?”

She strokes my arm and places her hand on the collar of my polo, “I want you Jacob.”

I’m taken
aback to what she just said. I don’t know how to respond. Before I can say anything, our drinks make it to our table. Madison takes her martini glass and brings it to her lips. She slowly closes her eyes and she tips the glass. She lets out a soft moan as she brings the glass down. Watching her take a drink makes me think about all the things I want to do to her. I take my glass of scotch and throw it back with one swallow. I notice that she doesn’t take her eyes off me. “Madison. I don’t want a relationship.” I drink my scotch and watch her expression.

She moves her hand on my thigh and starts lightly massaging me. Her face is closer to mine and she kisses my neck. “You smell good Jacob.” I close my eyes and lean my head back. My dick starts twitching. Fuck. I don’t want this to ha
ppen. I don’t want to use her. “Who says anything about a relationship? I
want
you to hurt me Jacob. Take me away.”

“Finish your drink and let’s go.” I send a text to Gary as Madison finishes her drink. I leave a hundred dollar bill on the table before grabbing Madison and pulling her outside. Gary opens the car door for us as I help her inside. Right as I get in and Gary closes the door, Madison pushes me against the seat and straddles me. My dick gets hard immediately and all I want is to feel
myself inside her. Her hands trail down my cheek to my stomach. She pushes her breasts in my face as I wrap my arms around her tiny waist. It feels good having her touch me. I grab her ass and she throws her head back giving me easy access. I bring my lips to her neck, “I want to make you feel so good Madison.”

“Yes Jacob,” she whispers with her eyes closed. “I want you so bad.”

I kiss her neck and trail my kiss down to her succulent breasts. “Soon.”

Gary drops us off at
the Hilton and we make our way to the desk.

“Good evening, how can I help you?” The older lady asks while looking at Madison and
I.

“Presidential suite.
Jacob Greene.”

Her eyes grow wide as she types in my name into the computer. She quickly grabs a key card and smiles, “Here you are, sir. Have a nice evening.”

I nod my head, take Madison’s hand and we make our way to the elevator. When the doors open, we step in and I press the button for the top floor. As the doors close, Madison leans against my body. Her firm ass grinds against me while she holds onto my thighs. She slowly turns around and starts kissing my neck. I close my eyes and place my hand on the lower part of her back.

When the elevator makes it to our destination, I take Ma
dison’s hand and we walk to the room. As soon as I shut the door, Madison starts undressing. She slowly takes off her black dress and I can see her black lace bra and black thong. She looks unbelievably sexy as she undresses. I go towards her and lift her up. She wraps her long legs around me as she takes off her bra, releasing those beautiful breasts. I place her on my bed and suck on each nipple. She starts moaning and her breathing becomes faster. My hand rips off her thong as I feel her waxed pussy against my hand. I moan into her nipple when I feel how wet she is. “You’re so wet.”

“Just for you.”
She says in between moans.

I slip a finger in her and start playing with her clit with my thumb. I start slow but then increase my speed.

She throws her head back with pleasure and loudly screams. “Oh Jacob. Jacob. Oh my god!”

I love hearing her scream my name. I insert another finger in her and feel that she’s about to come. “Come for me Madison.
Now!”

“Jacob!” She explodes all over my hand. I take my fingers out and bring them to my lips.
I slowly lick my fingers and bring them to Madison’s mouth. “Open your mouth,” she does as I order and I slide my fingers in her mouth as she twirls her tongue around my fingers, never breaking our eye contact. “You taste wonderful, don’t you ?” She nods her head and closes her eyes. Madison smiles and gets up to take off my clothes. When she gets me naked, she throws me on the bed and gets on top of me. “Wait, let me get a condom.”

Shhhh it’s okay Jacob. I’m on the pill.” She kisses my neck down all the way chest.

I push her off of me and look down at her. “Do
not
tell me it’s okay Madison.” I get my wallet and pull out a condom. I rip open the package and slide it on. Madison watches me and licks her lips.

“Jacob, come to me please? I
want to feel you inside of me.” I go to her and lie back down on the hotel bed. Before I know it, she slides right down on my shaft. She places her hands on my knees and rocks up and down on me. “Oh my god Jacob this feels so good.”

“You’re so tight. Ah.” My cock gets harder as she rides me. My hands are on her breasts and she moves faster. Shit, I don’t want to come yet.  I grab her waist and push her on her back. I get on top of her and thrust my
hard erection back into her juicy pussy. I bring her leg up as I pound into her.

“Harder! Fuck me harder Jacob!”

I do as she begs and plunge faster and harder. Madison starts moaning louder. I slide my hand over her breast and play with her nipple. I squeeze it and twirl it between my fingers. As her nipple puckers and hardens, she gasps out a throat moan
.
I feel my balls tighten and I pick up the pace.

“Jacob I’m going to come!”

With a few more hard thrusts I let myself go and feel her orgasm with me.

Chapter 4

Abigail

Lucas and I head to the zoo after school. I get him in the backseat of my silver Toyota Rav4 and help him buckle his seat belt. I open the driver side door and climb in. “Ready baby boy?”

Lucas raises his arms in the air, “Yes Mama! Let’s go!”

I start laughing as I start the car and drive to the zoo. It’s a beautiful day today with the sun shining and clear skies. The traffic is mild and we get to the zoo in no time. It’s a little after four o’clock when Lucas pulls my arm to the front gate so we can buy our tickets. I laugh at his excitement, “Mama hurry please! I want to see the tiger feeding!”

I get to the counter and ask for two tickets, “Lucas,” I laugh, “We’ll make it. Stop rushing please.”

He lets out a sigh. “Okay Mama.”

When the girl han
ds me the tickets, I take Lucas’s hand and we walk to the tiger exhibit. Luckily there are some seats available. We sit down and watch as more people come pouring in. Lucas looks over in the field and tries to catch a glimpse of the animals but no luck. He impatiently sits back down and looks around. “Lucas, be patient honey. It’ll start soon.” Suddenly my attention is on the man sitting in front of me. His smile is beautiful and the way he is playing with his daughter makes me smile. I admire this man and can’t take my eyes off of him. “Uncle Jacob!” I hear the little girl squeal. He turns his face towards her and my mouth drops open. Oh shit, I think to myself.

Jacob Greene!

I quickly turn my face away and feel it getting hot.
This is the first time I’ve seen him in public. I use to always look him up online and admire his beautiful features but never have I seen him face to face.

“Mama?”
Lucas nervously asks.

I turn my head to him and smile, “I’m okay. Don’t worry.” I put my arm around his shoulders and my eyes go back to him. His dark wavy hair makes me want to grab it and pull hard on it. Again, I look away. He’s an
asshole, I remind myself, and your best friend’s ex. But even though I keep repeating this to myself over and over again, I can’t help but stare. Something pulls me in.

The tiger show starts as we listen to the zookeeper talking about a tiger’s life and how they interact at the zoo. It’s a great show and Lucas is curious as he watches.

While Lucas watches the show, I look back at him. Luckily I’m behind him and he doesn’t notice some weird woman drooling over him. He’s even sexy in real life, I think to myself. Not being with a man for over six years does things to your mind and body. Sure I have my moments with Thor but it’s not the same. My body pulls towards him but I pull myself together. There are so many things wrong with this picture. First, he’s Katherine’s ex and second he just fired my baby sister. I can’t have these thoughts but he’s just so incredibly sexy. The way his broad shoulders move as he laughs and how protective he is of his niece. I can tell he works out by the definition through his shirt. He’s wearing a green polo and has his black jacket over his legs. His dark jeans look nice and those arms - mmm, those arms. I think about being in them as he picks me up and carries me into his bedroom. I would let him do the dirtiest things to me.

“Mama, look!”

Fuck. Lucas.

“What sweetie.” Lucas points at the zookeeper as she throws meat to the tiger. The crowd claps as the large tiger goes after the meat and settles on the ground. The zoo keeper explains more about the animal but I lose my thoughts and focus back on Jacob. I want to get to know him but he won’t give me a second look. He can get any woman he wants.
Supermodels. Actresses. Gorgeous, rich, single woman so why would he even look at me? Get it together Abigail! You need to find a simple man. Maybe another teacher? I cock my head to the right and think about the men in my life. Well lack of. My head springs straight up and I slump back down. There is no one I can think of. Pathetic. Ugh.

After the tiger show, Lucas and I walk around. We enjoy each other’s company and I watch my little guy admire all the animals. His excitement is what keeps me going. Lucas holds my hand while we walk through the zoo. We see the monkeys, elephants, exotic birds, hyenas and so many more animals.

There are families all over and a piece of me breaks. I look down at Lucas but he is oblivious of the families. Growing up without a parent is hard. I have both of my parents still but looking at Lucas, he only has me. It is not fair how life deals cards. I try and keep positive not only for myself, but for him. Unexpectedly there’s that feeling again. I look over and see Jacob with his niece walking towards us. I quickly turn around and lift up Lucas so he can feed the zebras. I hear him laughing with her. They are walking closer and closer to us. I keep my focus on Lucas so he doesn’t see me.

“Mila look! Do you want to feed the zebras?”

“Oh yes Uncle Jacob. Let’s do that. Can you buy the food please?”

He laughs and I slightly turn my head to look at him. Those piercing blue eyes capture my attention. This man is absolutely perfect. He’s at least six feet tall and his style is flawless. I watch as he gets the zebra food in a bucket for him and Mila. She is pretty with her green eyes and bouncing blonde hair. They take each other’s hand and try to find an open spot. I look around me and let out a breath of air. There’s no room around me but disappointment sets in. I wish he can stand next to me. I wonder how he smells. Immediately I shake out the feelings and think of Heather.
Poor Heather. He let her go for no reason. Now anger sets in. She did everything for him. All of his meetings and appointments she took care of. Anything he needed, she did for him. All of a sudden an idea hits. The only way to meet Jacob will be to confront of him about Heather’s recent firing. This can work. I start smiling and start devising a plan to get to know Mr. Jacob Greene.

*****

Time goes by without warning. Heather can’t find another job and my heart breaks when I see her lying on the couch every morning. She tries to go out with her friends but I know my sister is breaking apart. Anger builds inside. I haven’t seen Jacob since that day at the zoo. I think about him often as those eyes haunt my dreams. I can’t tell Heather about my crush. I avoid looking him up online and I want to stay mad at him.

I sit down on my bed and formulate my plan. Seeing Heather hurt makes me feel helpless. Jacob needs to know he cannot just fire someone for no reason. Someone needs to put him in his place and that person will be me. As much as I dread standing before him and telling him what is on my mind, I have to do it. I lie down on my side and think about Katherine. She’s missing so much. My eyes begin to feel heavy and I drift off to sleep.

I’m standing in a garden full of roses and trees. The sun is out and there isn’t a cloud in the sky. I walk around and smell the wonderful scent in the air. It is peaceful here. I look around but I don’t see anyone.

“Abigail.”

Her voice. I know it. I slowly turn around and see beautiful Katherine in a white sleeveless dress. “Katherine?” I run to her and throw my arms around her neck. We stand there hugging and crying. “I miss you!”

She hugs me tighter. “I miss you too
Abigail.” She releases me and we sit down in the bed of flowers. “I’m so sorry for everything. I wish I could take it back.”

I shake my head, “No
no it’s okay. I get it. I never hated you Katherine. Never.”

She touches her heart. “Thank you Abigail.” She takes my hand and smiles, “My nephew is beautiful. I wish I could have met him. Please tell him about me and our friendship.”

“Of course Katherine. He will know you.”

She looks at me with love in her eyes. There’s something on her mind. Something she wants to tell me. Katherine lets out a sigh, “So you met Jacob?”

Oh crap. “Well, not really.”

Katherine laughs. “It’s okay Abigail. Jacob
is my past. You’re his future.”

“What,” I shriek. “What the hell are you talking about?”

“You’ll see.”

I’m suddenly up and feel my body shaking. What the hell is that all about?

Katherine never got to meet her nephew. She was killed in a car accident but Jacob survived. April 10, 2004. The article on the internet stated Jacob was driving, turning left at a green light, when another car crashed into his. Katherine and the other driver both died at the scene.

I never made it to her funeral but I went to her grave the next day. I said a prayer and hoped she heard it. I brought
Lucas to her grave a few days ago and told him the story of our friendship and that she would have loved him so much. I remembered Lucas’s smile and how at peace we felt. I told him everything about Katherine; her gentle and warm soul and how she was my best friend. Lucas asked what happened and I told him. I said we got into an argument and said mean things. It made Lucas sad he wouldn’t get a chance to meet her. It broke my heart that Lucas would never know anyone on that side of the family-Ryan, Katherine or his grandparents.

The next morning I get ready and leave a note for Heather.

Heather,

Please take Lucas to school and I’ll pick him up. I have something to do. I’ll talk to you soon.

Big love|
A

I get in my car and sit for a minute. I can do this. I need to do this.

Last night, I held Heather as she cried. It killed me I couldn’t do anything. She cried and kept saying how unfair life was. The job market wasn’t good and there was no way she could make the same salary as she did working for Jacob. I rocked her in my arms and told her I’d take care of everything.

I drive in silence to Greene Publishing. I push a strand of my brown hair behind my ear as I pull into a parking spot. I take a deep breath and make my way inside.

The massive building takes my breath away. There are at least fifteen floors. The building is made of tinted glass and the architecture is phenomenal. GREENE PUBLISHING is written over the revolving doors. I walk inside and am in awe. There is a fountain in the middle of the light gray and deep blue lobby. The contemporary feel is wondrous. People are on their phones, talking loudly and moving at the speed of light. I smooth out my pants before heading to the steel desk where an attractive black hair woman stands. I make my way to the counter and clear my throat.

She looks up, “Yes?”

“I’m here to see Jacob Greene,” I confidently say.

The woman looks at me with question. She gives me a badge that says VISTOR and takes out a logbook for me to sign in. “Take that elevator to the fifteenth floor and then you’ll take a right. Go all the way down the hall and you’ll see his office. Good day Ms. Anderson.”

I give her a smile, “You too. Thanks.”

I follow her instructions and get in the elevator. I slowly press the fifteenth button and anxiously wait.
