She didn’t want that. Huffing out a breath, she followed him. She had never gone this far with her father, but she didn’t care anymore. This was for her, not to make them happy.

“I will go through with this, daddy. I have never asked both of you for anything, ever. And since this is the first for asking for something, all I want is your blessing, that is it.”

Leaning over, she grabbed the piece of paper from her mother had, and handed it to him.

“This is the plan for my shop, so far.”

He scrunched the paper up. “I will not let my daughter sell anything to do with sex, and that is!” Malcolm growled as he pointed to his hand.

“I’m not selling sex, daddy. It’s lingerie. There is a difference between selling sex and selling sexy clothing.”

“I’m not having you do that, Chantilly. I won’t allow it. Do you know how many people will find out that you own a sex shop?”

“It’s not a sex shop, dad. I’ll sell clothing, nothing more,” she sobbed.

“I dislike the idea of you owning that shop. I want you to stay working at the firm, and meet a nice young man to settle down with and start a family. You will have no reason to work after that.”

“I already tried that, it didn’t work out remember?” she hissed. She had never acted like this in front of her father—sure, she did with her mother, but her father was a different story.

“We are not talking about that man in this house.”

“Oh, we could set her up within the next month; she needs a date for the charity ball next month. That is plenty of time to pick a candidate.” Elizabeth giggled.

Now she was in for it. Whenever her mother had made up her mind, there was no way of changing it.

“I can find my own date, mom.”

“No, I have the perfect man for you, Chantilly. He is so perfect in every way,” she cooed.

“I already am seeing someone, Mother.” Crap, she had not thought before she spoke. Now she had to ask Joel to be her date to the charity ball—stupid, stupid.

Her father crossed his arms over his chest. “So, who is this young man that will be accompanying you to the ball?”

“Joel Spencer. I went to school with him.”

“I remember young Joel; didn’t he just finish his diploma?”

Her mother knew every available bachelor in Glacier, she had no idea how she did, but guessed it was since she was on nearly every committee there was, and even though knowing everyone that lived in a 100 mile radius around their house was a little extreme, her mother liked to get out and meet new people. Ever since she turned 18, her mother had set her up on so many dates, trying to find the one for her, but she never came close. The one she wanted most was never going to be with her or meet her parents. Besides, they would never approve of him.

“No, he hasn’t. He still has 2 years left on it.”

“I’ll look up on him, and then we will talk.”

She was not here to talk about her next date. “I’m still opening the shop,” she shouted.

“Not up for discussion. You will only concentrate on working for the firm.”

Damn it, this had not gone the way she had hoped. There was only one thing to do to get through to her pig-headed father. “No. If you can’t accept it, and be happy for me that I am doing something that I want, I won’t be coming over anymore.” Once said, she grabbed her bag and walked towards the door, and after opening it, she looked back. Glancing in her mother’s direction, she gasped and saw the tears streaming down her cheeks, but she held her own back.

“That is your choice, Chantilly,” her father mumbled as he walked out of the room, away from her. Smiling weakly at her mother, she closed the door behind her. That wasn’t the way it was supposed to go. She wanted their blessing, not only her mother’s.

It had taken her father a month to come around, and although he still did not like the idea, it was something she wanted, so he accepted it. He came to meet her at her shop so she could show him how everything would work out. Walking through, they discussed the design, and he gave his feedback for it. She loved to spend time with him, even more so that they weren’t talking about his law firm.

Shaking the thoughts aside, she stepped over a box and slipped, landing on her butt. “Shit.” What the hell did she slip on? Looking around, all she saw were boxes. Crawling around the last one she stood over, there sat a pile of mail. Pulling herself up carefully, she picked the mail up. Limping towards the back to her office, and careful not to do the same thing again, she sat down. Flicking through it all, she saw there was mail for the old owners, two bills for the shop across the street, and one for her. Weird. No one besides her parents and Skylar knew about the shop, and Bryan.

Ripping the envelope open, she read the letter:

Chantal,

I have loved you from the first moment I saw you.

You are mine and no one else’s. We will finally be together soon.

XOXO

Frowning, she wondered who the hell this was letter from. Checking over it for an address or something, she got nothing in return. There wasn’t even a stamp on it—just her name. Freaky much? Laughing to herself, she shoved the letter into her bag as a loud bang erupted from the front of the shop.

Her hand flew up to her mouth, covering a gasp. She slid her chair further into the office.
Holy shit!
Whoever wrote that letter was here, now. Reaching for her phone, she had no clue who to dial, but the first name to pop up on her screen was Joey. He would be here in an instant, if there were something wrong. Getting here breathing under control, she moved closer to the door. “Who’s there?” she yelled out. Her thumb hovered over Joey’s number, ready to call.

“Channy, open the door. This isn’t exactly light you know.”

Sighing in relief, she limped to the door, and opened it. “Hey Bryan.”

“Hey, Channy. Where do you want it?” Bryan said as he smiled down at her.

“Bryan.” She scolded, placing her hands on her hips. What was with the name?

“Sorry. Chantal. Better?”

“Yes. You know I hate you calling me that, right?”

“I love it when you get so fired up over it, plus it’s cute.” He laughed at her.

Stupid man. Limping past him, she instructed, “You can put it down here.” As she pointed to the left side of the shop, she moved back towards her office.

Bryan pulled her up short. “What’s wrong. Why are you limping?” he asked as he checked over her.

Chantal pushed his hand away. “Nothing, I just slipped over and twisted my ankle.”

“Are you sure you are ok, it looks painful.” He grimaced.

“I will be. I’m might go home and put my foot up.”

“I think that is a good idea,” he agreed, then motioned to the space she had indicated, and asked, “Where, right here? Once I put up the new change rooms, I’ll lock up for you and be back tomorrow morning, to put up the new shelves and boxes.” After placing the fixtures down, he walked up to her.

“Go home, and get better. Don’t want you to hurt yourself any more than you have.”

She thumped him in the chest with her fist. What did he think that she was one of those women that would just stop because she was injured? Hell no. “I can do anything you ask me to do in this room, even if I have a twisted ankle,” she growled.

“Chantal. You don’t have to prove to me who you are and what you can do, I already know that about you. But you need to get off that foot, and get some sleep. To me, it looks like you haven’t slept that much.”

Damn it, why did he know her so well. Was she that easy to read? “I’ve had too much on my mind lately.”

“Go and relax, take a bath, get laid. Do something other than be here. We got that covered.” He pulled her in for a hug.

Of course, he would be upfront in his advice. “Well I can do two of those things tonight.” She hopped to the door, as her foot was really starting the throb now.

“What about the third thing?” he teased with a wicked grin.

Laughing, she yelled over her shoulder, “Not happening tonight.”

Once she was finally in the car, she was relieved that she didn’t have her car. Since it was a manual, she would have a hard time changing the gears. Her father had insisted that she keep one of his cars on hand, to use at any time. He first choice was the Bentley, but she agreed upon the Mercedes. It was more her style.

Turning the engine on and sliding on her belt, she was ready to pull out when she received a text message. Placing the car in park as she reached for her phone, she read the text:

Joey: Picking u up at 7p.m. for dinner and dancing, can’t wait to see you .

Chantal: I’ll be ready.

She wouldn’t be up to dancing, but she had something better in mind. She grinned. She was going to wear the outfit that she bought last week. It was one for her shop and she wanted to test it out. Now, she had that chance.

He would freak when he saw her in it. The temptress was coming out in her, and she loved every bit of it. Placing her car in gear, she pulled out of the car park, and drove towards home. Tonight was going to be fun, whether she had a twisted ankle or not.

Chapter 13

––––––––

J
oey parked in Dom’s driveway the day after he had sent him the text saying he needed to talk to him. After hearing what Chantal had said, he was so close to walking back into the room and telling her he would do whatever she wanted, but he wanted it to be special for her, and if she wanted Dom, he was going to do his best to fulfill her wish.

Once he was out, he knocked on the door, but Dom did not answer. Knowing he was home, he did it again. Ready to knock a third time, the door finally swung open, revealing Dom standing there in only a towel.

“You could have waited, you know,” Dom grumbled.

“Sorry, this is more important than whatever you’re doing.” He laughed, as he watched Dom walk back towards the end of the house.

Joey sat down, and moment later Dom was back with a brunette attached to his side. Now he understood why he was grumpy. She was gorgeous, the model type, long legs that went on forever, a body to die for, and the biggest tits he had ever seen, that were natural looking anyway. Where the hell does he find them? But Joey wasn’t interested, not in her anyway.

Dom walked the girl to the door. “Can I see you next week?” she purred; even her voice was sexy.

“I’ll see if I can squeeze you in, Bethany.”

She giggled like a schoolgirl, jumping up and down. What was the deal with that? He must be doing something right in the bedroom for them to get that excited.

“So, what was so important that you couldn’t wait to tell me?” Dom inquired as he walked over to the bar, poured two drinks, and passed one to Joey as he sat down opposite him.

“Well, the other morning I was at Chantal’s, and I heard her and Skylar talking.”

“Why were you at Chantal’s?” Dom hissed.

“I asked her out on a date. We went to dinner, took her home, and one thing lead to another—you know the rest man.”

“So, you slept with her?”

“Do you want me to tell you no?” Joey raised an eyebrow to him.

“I don’t want to know. So, was that what you wanted to tell me?” Dom mumbled.

“No. I wanted to tell you what I heard her say. I’m sure you would be interested in that.”

“Well, spit it out. I have things to do today.”

“She was telling Skylar about a dream she had, the same night I stayed.”

Dom stood. “I not interested in dreams, Joey,” he said as he made his way to the kitchen.

“Chantal’s fantasy is you, me and her, having a threesome.” His grin widened further as Dom pulled to a stop.

“Are you interested in fulfilling it for her?”

Spinning around, Dom stated, “No. I can’t.”

Standing himself, Joey continued, “Why the hell not, Dom. You have both wanted each other for as long as I can remember. You might hold it back, but she sure can’t.”

“It’s not going to happen, end of story,” he groaned.

“You know, she did say that there is no way either of us was the sharing type, or that we would go for the idea. Maybe she was right about you. Whatever man. I’ll go find someone that is interested in doing it for her.”

Moving pass him to the front door, Joey pulled it open. “If I do it, I’ll scare her off,” Dom mumbled.

“Why would you scare her off, Dom? What the fuck are you into that would do that to her?”

“It’s not what I’m into, it’s what I am.”

“And that would be what?” What could he possibly be into that would do that to her?

“I’m way too dominant for her.”

“Aren’t we all? They can never handle all that from us in one hit.” He laughed.

Dom sat down, putting his face in his hands. “No. I’m a dominant, and a rough one at that. Every time I am around her, I have to hold myself back. It’s getting harder and harder to just sit back, and not carry her off, with what I need to do to her. The smart ass remarks that come out of her mouth, the way she pushes my buttons, the way she moves seductively, all make me want to flog the shit out of her. Or tie her to the post in the basement and whip her. Every time she says anything, or simply walks past me, she’s doing it on purpose to get on my nerves, or she has absolutely no clue as to what she is doing. I’m just barely holding myself back from her.”

“Damn, Bro. I had no idea.” He sat beside him.

“You and Nate are the only ones that know. If I told her exactly what I want to do to her, she would run. I don’t want that to happen, and she is not the type for what I have in mind.”

“You would be quiet shocked to what she might like, Dom. Chantal is a tough one, and she wouldn’t run from something like that if you told her.”

“I can’t tell her. She would either run from me or despise what I am,” Dom answered.

“Are you up for this threesome, or not?”

“Only if you follow my direction, that is the only way it will happen with me there.”

Nodding, Joey didn’t care what the directions were. As long as he got to spend another night with Chantal, he would do anything Dom told him to do. His cock was hard, thinking of the fun they were going to have with her. She was in for a shock when it happened; her fantasy was going to come true. Joey continued to nod absently as Dom spouted out instructions. He would have to ask what he agreed to later, since his brain wasn’t working right then.
