"I love you too."

"If something happens to me..."

She interrupts me "You do not do that. You don't talk like that. Youre not leaving us. Got me?"

"Yeah I got you." I tell her. We fall asleep with her on top of me still inside of her.

We’re about to have our final church before this goes down. I drop her and Cub off at Hanger and Crazy Girl's, giving them kisses and telling them how much I love them. I always want them to know how much I love them in case one day I don't come back. Since, technically, Hanger's house is on lock down, we have Romeo and Spike on guard. Spike is a prospect for the Cobras, and a damn good one from what I've seen.

We all meet up in the chapel one last time before we head out, going over the plan one more time, making sure everybody understands. When the meeting is over, we all head to our bikes. Some of the guys are taking cages just in case any of us are hurt, and they’ll be at the very end of the line.

Gunner, Snake, Bones, and Clapper are all at the front, signaling it's time. Since there are so many of us, we stop about a mile away from the warehouse. We don't want the Italians to know we’re coming. Pushing our bikes the rest of the way, we park them on the side of the road before heading toward the woods. We draw our weapons, just in case they have guys set up on guard. We’ve got to be prepared for anything, keep our heads clear and eyes open.

Our shooters get set up as we stay back and wait. I can see they have a couple of men at the front exit, and I'm assuming they would have some at the back as well. That's when I hear the first round of shots being fired, taking out the two guys at the exit. The rest of us run up, getting into position. Snake’s at the head of our group as we wait for the door to open, and when it does, Snake doesn't miss a beat as he comes around the door facing the guy, raising his gun and killing him. We wait to see if anyone else is coming, and sure enough, someone is.

"What the fuck is going on?" this guy questions when he sees his guy on the ground.

But that's all he says because then he's shot down too. I hear a few more shots so I know they’re coming out the back exit as well. It's our time to go in. Slowly walking, we watch our surroundings with some guys going left and some right. The rest of us go forward. I'm toward the back, and all of a sudden, gunshots blare through the warehouse. Dodger follows me as we duck down, running to take cover, coming to a corner.

I look around it, pointing my pistol. I see one of them, and taking aim, I hit my target right in the side of the neck. Blood squirts out and paints the wall as he goes down. It’s not an instant kill shot, so I walk up to him and look him right the eyes.

"This is for my brother Ripper, motherfucker."

His eyes go big but he doesn't try and fight, he just lays there, looking at me. This isn't the time to have a conscience or feel remorse. I make sure to keep eye contact with this piece of shit as I shoot him in his chest, right where his heart would be and two inches lower because that's where they got Ripper.

I take another shot, the last one, putting it in his forehead. As I come out of cover, rounding the corner, I spot another target and pull the trigger, hitting dead center in his chest.

Slowly, we make our way down the hall when I hear a shot behind me. I turn and see Dodger on the ground with a guy standing above him, pointing his gun at me. Fuck, what do I do? Stay calm. Do I have enough time to get the gun outta his hand? No, because if I start walking toward him, he’ll shoot. "Drop your gun now!” he commands, so bending at my knees, I lower the gun until it’s on the floor. I stand back up, lifting my hands above my head. "Kick it away from you, asshole!” I do, and all I can think about is the fact that I'm gonna die. I'm never gonna see my beautiful wife or my boy again.

He walks up to me and my fighting instincts kick in. As soon as he’s close enough, I hit the arm he's using to aim the gun at me. Catching him off guard, he drops the weapon to the ground. I throw a punch and it makes a solid connection with his face, but that doesn't even phase him. Son of a bitch! He throws his own, hitting me in the stomach, and another landing another on my face and the taste of copper fills my mouth. I rush him, taking him to the ground as we wrestle around, each getting hits on the other. Soon, I’m on top, I have the advantage again. I throw punch after punch until he’s unconscious. I feel metal at the back of my neck. Goddammit!

"Get the fuck up,” someone orders, grabbing my shirt and pulling me up, pushing me to walk down the hallway further. We pass an open door, but keep walking. He stops me suddenly and I hear, "You get that gun off my brother or you're a dead man." It's Demon. He keeps the gun at my neck, not caring about my brother’s threat. How can I play this? Taking my chances, I move to the right, spinning on him. Demon fires his gun as soon as I spin, taking that fucker out. "Thanks brother."

"Glad I was here. Hey, I picked this up for you." He hands me back my gun. Walking together, we check rooms. The ringing of shots starts to die down as we make our way to the back exit and walk out. Looking around, Snake is nowhere to be seen. I have to find him.

"Dodger’s down. Where's Snake?" No one answers as I look around. "Where the fuck is Snake?" If something happened to him, it’ll kill Jacey. I can't break my promise to her. Bones finally answers, “I don't know, we haven't seen him."

"Did you guys look for him,?" I ask, my voice raised, as I look around at everyone.

Bones answers again. "No, we were waiting for everybody to get out before we started looking."

"I'm gonna go get Snake. Someone needs to go get Dodger." I run back inside, searching everywhere but finding nothing. I can hear footsteps behind me but I don't care enough to see who it is. I have to find Snake. I round the corner, checking those rooms as well. Going down another hallway, coming to the last door, I see him. He's lying there in a puddle of blood. Oh fuck. I drop to my knees, checking for a pulse. It's faint but it's there. Someone drops down next to me, and I look over to see Gunner. "We gotta call an ambulance,” I tell him.

"No, you need to get out of here. I'll call, then I'll get out too before they come."

"No, I have to make sure he’s okay. Lil Mama will hate me if I don't."

"Bear, listen. When I call the ambulance, the police are gonna come. You have Lil Mama and Cub, and you need to be with them. Let me call, and you can meet them at the hospital."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes. We’re wasting time, now go!” I run out, meeting up with all the guys.

"Did you find Snake?" Bones asks.

"Yeah, Gunner's calling an ambulance, so we gotta get outta here." We get on our bikes and head back to the clubhouse. I let Bones know what happened so he can inform everyone else, and I head over to Hanger and Crazy Girl's. I park my bike and the door flies open before I'm even off it yet, so I hurry. Jacey’s in my arms, with her legs wrapped around my waist. She peppers kisses all over my face saying, "You're okay, you're here!”

"Yeah, Lil Mama, I'm fine,” I confirm as I give her a kiss on the lips. "I have to tell you somethin' though."

"What?"

"Snake was shot. We've gotta get to the hospital."

"What?! Let me go get my stuff." She runs back into the house, and Hanger comes out.

"How'd it go?"

"Snake and Dodger got shot. We gotta get to the hospital. As far as I know, everyone else made it out, and we got all those Italian fucks.”

"Alright, we’ll keep Cub, just go make sure they’re fine."

Jacey comes running back out. I start my bike back up and we head to the hospital. When we get there, she tells them who she is and we’re directed to a waiting room. We sit there for about an hour before a doctor comes and tells us that he got the bullet out, that Snake will be fine. We go into his room and she pulls up a chair next to him, taking his hand. "I'm so glad you're going to be fine! You can't leave me, Daddy, I just got you back. Please don't leave me." I see him open his eyes, a single tear rolling down his cheek. He tells her, "I'm not going anywhere, Princess. Didn't they tell you I would be fine? I love you."

“Yeah, they did. Just seeing you lying here... I don't want anybody to take you from me again. I love you Dad, so much." I let them have some time. As I step out into the hallway, I see a cop heading my way. "Would you like to tell me what happened tonight?"

"I don't know what you are talking about.”

"Well, you’re here seeing someone that was shot, and we have someone sitting in a jail cell, wearing the same type of vest you have on. Also, when we got the call, there were several dead bodies when we showed up at that warehouse."

"Still don't know what you're talking about. Why don't you go harass someone else. I'm just here visiting.”

"I'm sure you are." He walks into Snake’s room and Jacey comes out.

"I gotta call Hanger. They arrested Gunner." I get on my phone and let Hanger know that Gunner was caught. He says he’ll get ahold of our club attorney and instructs us to meet for church. I take Lil Mama back to his place before going to the clubhouse. Hanger starts the meeting like he never took time off. It's good to have our Prez back. While sitting in church, he gets a call from the attorney, and once he hangs up, he runs his hands down his face.

"Alright guys. The attorney has found out that Gunner was pulled over and they found his pistol. That being said, he left before the police and ambulance got there. They have no ties to him being there, so they can't charge him with anything from the warehouse. The attorney advises that it's best if we don't have contact with him while he’s locked up. He says it could be bad for the club. We can go through his mom for information on how he’s doing and we can give her money for his books." All in agreement, he finishes. "Snake and Dodger are both gonna make a full recovery. Thank fuck those assholes had shit for aim. I think we’ve all had a long night, so let's call this meeting and go home. If you have families, make sure you tell them how much you love them. We were lucky not to lose anybody tonight."

Later that night, as we lay in bed wrapped around each other, I tell Jacey to stop taking her birth control. She pushes up on her elbows to look at me. "What?"

"Get off the birth control. After tonight, I realized life is too short to try and wait. I want you pregnant again, and I want what I missed out on. Stop taking it."

"Bear, I'm not ready for another baby yet."

"You better get ready because it's happenin' soon."

"Bear."

"No, I'll give you some time, but it's happenin'."

Snake and Dodger both made full recoveries and are doing great. Jacey spends a lot of time with her dad, even more than before. I think she feels that she almost lost him again and she doesn't wanna waste anymore time. The Cobras have had some heat from the cops, but the Sinners have stayed out of it. We decided to patch in Demon and Ghost, so we’ll be having a patch party for them soon.

Life really is too short to waste. After that night, thinking I was never gonna see them again, I decided I don't wanna wait for shit any longer. I want another baby, I want everything I missed with Cub. Since that night and asking Jacey to stop her birth control, I've asked a few more times. Each time, she shoots down the idea, saying she's still not ready. So for the time being, I'll stop asking, she'll eventually see my reasoning. She's a headstrong woman, so I'm learning. Lil Mama wants to do shit when she's ready, otherwise she fights me tooth and nail, but once I get her in that bedroom, she gives up fast. She may think she controls things and sure, some things she does, but in the bedroom, that's my domain and I'm the one with complete control. That's why I've been fucking her like a madman, any chance I get, I take it. I just hope one of these times the birth control doesn’t work and I knock my Ol' Lady up. I kinda like her going against me on some things, though, keeps it interesting. It's never boring with her and that's what makes us so great. She wouldn't be the woman I fell in love with if she always just went with what I say. It makes me fall more in love with her everyday, knowing she's still that same person with the same feisty personality. She doesn't take shit, doesn't let people take advantage of her, and that's one of the reasons why I fell in love with her in the first place. She hasn't changed who she is and I'd never want her too.
