Shit!
He was in deep trouble.

“I am not giving her up. She is not a car or a house that I can hand over. She is a person, and she has a say in this matter. If she wanted to be with Ned, she would have been with Ned.”

“You’re right, but now this has become a very sensitive matter,” said Simon in a worried voice. “Ned is determined, and he has made his stand pretty clear. If he doesn’t budge from his position, I would expect Brandon wouldn’t have an option but to put pressure on you to do something about it.”

Had Brandon already made up his mind? “What did Brandon say about this matter?

“He merely said that he needed time to talk to you, that it was something that couldn’t be sorted out in a day, and that it wasn’t fair of Ned to involve the club in a matter that wasn’t their business.”

At least that was something. From the looks Brandon was giving Ned, he’d expected that Brandon would tell Ned to go home and sleep easily. He’d thought Brandon would force him to do whatever Ned wanted, but perhaps the man had a little bit more sense than Marco gave him credit for.

“That’s good.”

“Yeah, but it has bought you just a little time. No one can forget that seven of our men are in jail and we need to get them out.”

“We could hire another lawyer.”

“It wouldn’t work if Ned was against us. If we took him out and made someone else take his place, he would stand on the opposite corner of the court room. And you know what a vengeful fellow he is. He will make damn sure that they all go in for the maximum sentence.”

“Damn it. You’re right,” said Marco. “We’ll sort it out, man. This is not the worst thing I have faced.”

“Let’s hope so,” said Simon. “Good night. I’ll talk to you later.”

Marco shoved the phone in his pocket. This wasn’t the worst thing he ever went through, but Ned was a formidable enemy—and it wouldn’t pay for him to forget that. If the man was doing his best to derail Marco’s love story, then it was up to Marco to make sure he stayed right on course. He would have to think of something smart to get out of this mess.

Right now he was in a dilemma: Stacy or the club members. Brandon was also probably thinking along the same lines. It was up to Marco to give him another option so that they could focus on a different solution. That was the only thing that would save them.

And he didn’t have much time.

Whatever had to be done would have to be done fast. It was a real challenge, but Marco was up for it.

Chapter Seven

Already she missed him. As Stacy stood under the shower, she thought about Marco. What wonderful time they had together, and now after their confession of love for each other, everything was even better than before. She’d never imagined that one day she would be so deliriously happy. Without Marco, she couldn’t live anymore.

He was her soulmate, and she was so glad to have found him.

She rubbed the purple net exfoliator over her breasts and around them. The soap formed foam over her skin. The cool water felt good on her skin after a long, hard day. She’d been standing most of the time in four-inch heels. Some day she would be kinder to her feet and not wear heels, but right now wasn’t that time. She raised her head and allowed the water to wash the foam off. Two hands appeared from behind her and cupped her breasts.

She screamed and turned around. Marco grinned. “I can’t believe you didn’t hear a thing. Sorry. It was too good an opportunity to pass up.”

“You scared a few years off of my life. I thought it was a serial rapist or something.” She put a hand on her heart, as she examined his super-hot body. Drops of water clung to his skin as if they didn’t want to let go. His muscles gleamed, and his hard washboard abs called her to run her hand over them. “Seeing as you have taken the opportunity, we must make the most of it.”

She reached to touch his stomach. His muscles clenched under the tips of her fingers, and she ran her hand over his skin. Below, his cock sprang up, hard and needy. Her gaze met his, as she stepped forward and clutched his organ in her fingers. It throbbed within her grasp. “I’m glad you used the key. I thought you weren’t coming over today since there was lots to discuss at the club?”

He ran his hands over her hair that was already wet. Water sprang down her back. It felt as if they were standing under a waterfall. Already desire ran through her veins like hot lava. She felt the hot burn of it.

“We finished early, and I came to see what my best girl was up to.”

He brushed his lips over her, and she savored the taste of him. “Good thing you came in just now. I was making love to two hot, young guys a while back.”

His lips curved in a smile, but his gaze was steely. “Damn. I’ll have to find and kill them now, but first let me make love to you.”

She threw back her head, as he nuzzled at her throat. His lips brushed over her skin and the curve of her shoulders, and an electric current zinged its way up her spine. Everywhere he touched her, her skin sizzled and burned.

It felt as if she was touching him for the first time, and as if he was touching her for the first time. Nothing much had changed ever since they made love in Ned’s house. Their sexual chemistry was as hot as ever. Every fiber of her body still ached to be with him. She ran her hands over his stomach and onto his chest. Her fingers played with his nipples, and he shivered a little.

Too often, he reduced her to a mass of shuddering muscles. She wanted to do the same to him today. Her fingers twisted and rubbed over his hard nubs until they stood at attention. She ran her hands up his massive shoulders and felt the power that was packed in his body. If he held her too hard and too long, he would likely crush her, but he was always gentle, sweet. She rubbed his neck and ran a hand though his hair. Her lips crushed on his, and the kiss was demanding, passionate.

Her tongue drove inside his mouth to savor and take delight in the taste of him. The dance was age-old, but it still felt as new as ever. An ocean of sensations undulated inside her gut. Desire kept her a prisoner. Her tongue twisted with his while she pumped his cock with one hand. It vibrated within her grasp, and she felt the pull of his need. She cupped his balls and felt them harden within her fingers. He bit her bottom lip, and the sharp tingle of desire that careened through her nerves was heady.

Suddenly, he pulled away. “I disturbed your shower.”

“Huh?” She couldn’t think, couldn’t focus. What the hell was he talking about?

“I should help you finish it first.”

“What?” she said, but he was already picking up the purple net pouf that fell from her hands. He squeezed some more soap on it. Putting a hand on her shoulder, he forced her to turn around. He rubbed the pouf on her back and desire lit up her insides. She held the wall with both hands, as he gently took his time.

His hand held her steady while his fingers rubbed the pouf over her creamy skin. His hand brushed over her butt, and as she moaned, he knelt down to run the soft pouf over one of her legs. She shivered under his gentle touch. He shifted his attention to the other leg. He brought the pouf up to scrub the small of her back and then made her turn around.

She was breathing deeply. It was an effort to stand still, but she could tell he was having a good time. He splayed his hand on her taut stomach while the pouf moved her breasts. He dropped it on the floor and cupped her breasts. His hands kneaded and caressed her twin globules while he pushed his cock against her thigh.

She wanted so much more.

“I believe you’re clean enough now.”

Every breath was a struggle. “Am I?”

He made her turn around so that she stood under the shower. While the water beat down on her, he scrubbed away the soap. The touch of his hands on her skin was invigorating. Suddenly, he yanked her forward and crushed his lips on her. His tongue danced with her. His hands settled under her butt and he lifted her. Her legs wrapped around his hips.

He turned around and pushed her against the wall ever so gently. The tiles were cool against her skin while the rest of her body burned with an awful need. He pulled back his hips and the tip of his penis rubbed against her pussy. It was already wet in anticipation of the coming moment. Her muscles clenched, as they waited to be invaded. He thrust inside her in one quick move, and she was impaled on his huge, throbbing cock. It fit inside her, and her sheath expanded to accommodate it.

“I love you,” he muttered against her mouth while the water beat down on them.

Her hands locked on his shoulders. “I love you, too.”

Pulling himself all the way out, he pushed deep inside her once more. Each quiet thrust brought her a step closer to the release that her body sought. She held on with all her might, as he whipped in and out. Every time he thrust inside her, her breath exploded from her mouth. Waves of pleasure coursed through her, and she felt the fast rush of them. His hands settled on her breasts, and he played with her nipples while his cock speared in and out of her body. She was a bundle of frayed nerves. Stacy couldn’t think. Nothing mattered except for the exquisite pleasure that skipped through her nerves.

She looked down and his cock that was drenched in her juices. The blood-engorged organ throbbed with a vicious need. She could feel the same urgency within her nerves. Her fingernails dug into his shoulder, as she urged him to hurry. He appeared not to notice the pain—he was so intent on the pleasure that he experienced. When the orgasm hit her, it ripped through her muscles and nerves, and she jerked. Stacy let out a wild scream, as her toes curled. A moment later, he exploded within her depths.

She was spent, exhausted. Stacy didn’t mutter a protest when he lowered her on the floor. “Boy! That was something.” He kissed her lightly on the forehead. Marco helped her wash and then got the towel for her. They changed and stepped out of the bathroom. “If it’s ok with you, I am going to stay over.”

“Of course, it’s ok. Actually, I emptied one of my drawers for you. Thought you might want to keep some of your things here so that it’s easy when you’re staying over.”

“Thanks.” He opened his mouth and then closed it.

She’d the distinct feeling that he wanted to talk to her but was reluctant to do so. She wondered what it could it be and whether it had something to do with Ned. She longed to ask, but at the same time, Stacy didn’t want to borrow any trouble. Ned was a complicated problem they would have to solve later. She didn’t want to bring his name up at the moment and spoil the mood.

“Would you like some dessert? I made crème brûlée.”

He stared at her as if she was from outer space. “That would be nice. I thought you cooked only a little.”

“Maybe I lied. I actually enjoy baking more than cooking,” she admitted. “Come. We can eat it in the living room.” After he sat, she brought the dessert out from the kitchen. “I was planning to keep one for you, but fresh is best.”

“You had time to come home from work and make something like this?”

“It doesn’t take a lot of work, not if you know what you’re doing,” she said.  She gave him one and settled to eat. He looked exhausted. Something bad must have happened at the club today. She wanted to ask, but she was reluctant to destroy these precious moments with shop talk.

“I’ve finalized the Cape Cod plan,” he said. “We can go next weekend.”

“That’s great. I will pack my bags then.”

“Bags? We’re only going for two days. You could probably put your stuff in a backpack.”

She laughed at his naiveté. “It seems obvious to me that you haven’t gone on a trip with a woman. Happy as I am about that fact, I hate to burst your bubble. A woman needs too many things for even one night. There is the outfit that I will wear at night for dinner, then another for next day, another for dinner, and of course I have to have extra clothes, just in case.”

He shook his head. “I guess I am better off not knowing,” he said. “Me. I will be ok in one pair of jeans, a pair of shorts for the beach, and three t-shirts.”

“You’re a simple man, Marco, while I’m a complicated woman.” She ate the crème brûlée and was happy to discover it was baked to perfection. Sometimes she messed up, but tonight it turned out ok. Ned used to make such a big fuss if she didn’t serve something scrumptious every night he ate in the house. It didn’t matter that she was also working a full-time job; he wanted her to be active in the kitchen.

No. She wasn’t going to think about Ned. He was her past and Marco was her present and future. She was starting over with him, and he was a very easy guy. He didn’t demand anything from her and was happy to accept whatever she offered.

“I can’t cook much,” he confessed. “Perhaps I should try one day.”

“Maybe I could teach you,” she said. He was a little distracted. It was easy enough to see that. “Cooking isn’t difficult. For me, the hard part is the planning of it and getting groceries. I don’t like to keep a lot of things in the house because I eat out so many nights, and if I don’t cook often, things just expire and I hate wasting money.”

“Yeah, that’s true.”

“A friend of mine has invited me for dinner tomorrow. It’s her anniversary, and they are throwing a lavish bash. I can bring a plus one. You want to be that man?”

“Of course. If you’d asked someone else, I would have been pissed.”

“In that case, I am happy I picked you. It’s a formal thing, so wear a suit. She tends to go overboard with such affairs so expect to be served a seven-course meal, and there will be dancing, music, and best of all, an open bar.”

“Sounds like my kind of party.” He stood and took the ramekin from her hand. “Are you sure you won’t be embarrassed with me?”

She was so shocked that she couldn’t speak. He walked over to the kitchen, rinsed the ramekins, and put them inside the dishwasher. “Why would I be embarrassed?”

“It’s quite a step down from a lawyer to a biker,” he said.

She stood, walked over, and locked her arms around his neck. She brushed her lips over his, wondering whether he was feeling self-conscious? “Don’t be silly. You’re a hundred times better than Ned. He never did anything to make me happy, while every moment I spend with you is happier than the last. I don’t want to hear such talk ever again. We belong together, and nothing and no one can ever come between us.”

He smiled, but she was quick to note that the warmth of that smile didn’t quite reach his eyes. “I’ll keep that in mind.”

He hugged her, and she was surprised by the aggressiveness of his embrace. Something definitely was up, and she wondered how long it would be before he talked to her about it. Whatever it was, they could solve it together. The one thing she had learned about Marco was that he was the kind of guy she could depend on. She trusted him, and that was the highest compliment she paid anyone. He was her world, and that was just the way it was going to be from now on.
