“Not your loafers!” she laughs. “I blame his parents for not raising him to have manners.”

Trying not to laugh was difficult. Rolling up my sleeves, I stand over him but instruct her to “Step back, gorgeous.”

When she was clear of any potential splatter, I began reigning blows at his sides before I worked my way up. My assault was swift, deep, and brutal. I was a fighter, always would be no matter how much money I had. Anyone could aim a pistol, wield a knife, or toss a fucking grenade. When a man used his fists he made shit personal. He made his intentions clear, what was allowed and what wasn’t.

He communicated through pain.

I was so far gone, that even though I knew he was dead I still didn’t care. I continued because I could. Because it was my right. His life, like his car, were both mine to take and I did. With blood covering my fists, forearms, and face I step back spitting his foul taste out of my mouth.

“Here,” she says softly. “Let me.”

Breathing hard with my dick even harder, there she was. My Sunshine. And she had removed her shirt leaving her in  only a tank top and was using it to clean me. When she was done tending to me, I was in such a weird place I just stared at her. I didn’t know what this was. I didn’t know how she did it. But I knew,
I fucking knew
the guy at my feet was just the beginning. No one has ever tended to me, few dared to get too close to the beast. But Sun doesn’t fear me, never would fear me and that amped my beast up.

“Wait in the sedan,” I point to the car and she doesn’t argue. Making a call, I arrange for two of my men to dispose of the driver face down in the dirt. That done, when I climb into the driver’s seat, she holds her hand out and I take it.

Just like that, the beast was happy.

We didn’t speak on the way home. It was obvious he was working through something, if the death grip he had on my hand was an indicator. Pulling into the garage I was shocked to see the Shelby and the Nissan arrive before we did. Although, if I were driving I would have made it back in record time too.

Opening my door, I take his hand when I exit but make my way over to the Shelby. She was a powder blue with black racing stripes on the outside. Deep tinted windows to keep the world out, plush leather interior with every gadget known to man. Simply put, she was hot.

“Get in,” he says opening the door. Eager to touch everything, I slide in and sigh. Before the race I was too keyed up to appreciate it, but now… I was in love.

Joining me on the passenger side, he turns the key forward and fires up the radio. While he finds something he likes, I run my hands over every inch of her. The bass catches me off guard, looking around the car I couldn’t believe the sound. Crisp, deep, and heavy it flowed through the speakers. Still, he didn’t speak, just stared. Breaking my stare, I look at the console to see which artist was blowing my mind. But Shade wasn’t having me distracted so he shut the music off.

“Sun.” It wasn’t my name, it was the need in voice when he said it. Like it was the key to his salvation, to his soul. “Come and get your victory fuck,” he says pulling me toward him. Clearing the stick, I plant my hands on the headrest and straddle him. Without realizing I was doing it, I started to grind on him. Clothes were shed, lips were bitten and sweat was running between my tits. Reaching down next to the seat, I move him all the way back. Sliding down to my knees on the plush carpet, I take his cock and eagerly suck it. Fisting my hair, he thrusts up into my mouth and I hallow my cheeks to accommodate him. Digging my fingers into his thighs, he gives me more. So much I didn’t think I could take it until he started to quake in his seat. “Suck me dry,
” he moans out and I did my damndest to make that happen.  When he swelled further, I released him to crawl back into his lap.

Spreading myself for him, I slide down with ease which causes him to grip me while my head falls back. “Take me,” he says low. “Use me,” applying pressure to my hips he thrusts up, and my eyes, had they been open, would have crossed. “Fuck me,” he says fisting my hair again.

Getting lost in him wasn’t hard. Those hard eyes that soften for only me, that see me. Hands that could beat a man down, touch me with tenderness. His mouth sucking on my nipples, his teeth grazing the tips. Arching into him, he wraps his arms around my lower back hitting me in the perfect spot because of the pressure. Sinking my hands into his hair, I grind hard and when he begins to peak so do I.

“Fuck,” I moan out never stopping my rhythm. A thousand words on the tip of my tongue but none were said. Watching him lose himself, I lean back resting my back on the dash letting him fuck me however he likes. His face was flushed, his chest red from my nails and his stomach tight from holding me up. “Come,” I order him. It’s all I could manage. “Get out of the car,” he orders me but I just blink at him.

“We’re not done,” he says pushing the door open. Oh well, in that case… Assuming he wanted a bed or a desk, I climb out attempting to grab my clothes when he picks me up and spreads me out on the hood. Without a word, he buries his face between my thighs and I screamed his name while he made me come again. Kissing me deeply, he turns me facing the car and slowly applies pressure to my back. With my tits pressed against the warm hood, he slams inside of me and like a piston, he thrusts in and out perfectly. Revving me up like the engine under me, I scream out again when his hand connects with my skin.

“Tell me it’s good,” he says in my ear. My back was arched as far as it could go and the strain was glorious.

My tits were bouncing and my thighs ached but I knew the answer so I said, “Nothing better,” without a second thought.

“Sunshine,” he moans pumping me from behind.

“Shade,” I moan out in return.

Releasing my hair and gripping my hips, he roars my name again while coming inside of me.

Tomorrow, I decided. Tomorrow, I would freak the hell out. Yeah, tomorrow…

I wanted to spoil her. I wanted her wildness and yet I wanted to be the one to tame her too. Fuck me, I couldn’t stand being away from her. This was one of my faults, smothering. But dammit, I just wanted to touch her all the fucking time. If it bothered her that I was clingy she didn’t say so, and I was waiting for her to tell me to back the hell off. If she did, I would make the effort knowing I’d fail miserably. In so many ways I was a cold man, except when it came to intimacy. Except when it came to
her
.

As she slept, I replayed the night before.

A more glorious woman didn’t exist to me. Sun embraced life, all facets of it. She is intelligent, caring and still holds her own in my world. Even the short time she’s been in it has changed my perspective. With Luna, I had to shelter and protect, hide who I was. Not so with Sun. She was a fighter, honed in battle. A generous lover unafraid to take what she wants, giving herself in return. Violence didn’t bother her, but lying did. How could a man not want her? Turning over the sheet exposes her tit as she reaches for the spot I had just woke from. Gripping the pillow, she brings it to her face and inhales it. In her sleep she sought me out and my fucking heart sped up because of it…

Climbing in next to her, I pull her to me, needing to feel her skin. “There you are,” she sighs happily. Denying this was futile, I needed this woman, period. “You smell good,” she smiles up at me.

“I smell like you,” I say, kissing her neck she runs her nails down my back causing me to shiver.

“Mhmm,” she whispers. “Then I smell good.”

“Yes,” I groan into her skin. “You do.”

“Are you okay?” Was I? I wasn’t sure. I wasn’t supposed to want her like this, need her like this. I was supposed to take and never give.

“I have business to handle across the border,” I tell her. “I need you to stay behind.”

“Okay,” she agrees easily. “I’ll write, no worries.”

“You’re not mad?”

“That I can’t go to work with you today? No, I wouldn’t get mad about that. Okay yes, I would, had you ordered me to stay behind. But I can’t resist you when you’re sweet.”

“You’ll miss me then?”

“Of course,” she smiles touching my face. No one has ever missed me…

“Breakfast is in the microwave, the coffee is brewed and – ”

“Shade?” she asks sitting up. “What’s wrong?”

“Am I smothering you?” There, I said it.

“No,” she says crawling into my lap. “I like it when you’re close and miss you when you’re not.”

“Don’t lie to me, Sun.”

“Look at me,” she says grabbing my face. “I don’t lie.”

She had to be. Luna lied to my face for years and I never saw through it. Moving away, I leave her in bed looking hurt and confused. Preparing to leave, she calls for me. Turning toward her, she clutches the sheet and tells me, “I’ll be waiting here for you, Shade. Just be careful.”

Closing the door behind me, I went to work wishing I had stayed in bed with her. Because even if she was lying, it was still better than being alone.

26 days…

Breakfast was boring.

My shower served its purpose.

After uploading my video to YouTube, I watched myself race a dozen times before I shut it off.

Then I wrote for three straight hours.

The words poured through my fingers and for the first time in my career, I wasn’t exaggerating the events to enhance the story. Who would have ever thought that
my
story (our story) could be this sensational? I’ve had days with him and already I wanted a lifetime more. Shade wasn’t just the main character; he was my hero too. He inspired me in every way. Unapologetic about who he was, what he did. For him, lines were meant to be crossed, examples were to be made, and he would use deadly force if necessary.

This wasn’t fiction. This was my reality, at least temporarily.

Checking my phone, he hasn’t called or texted and I found I missed him. But I promised myself I wouldn’t bother him at work, so I grabbed my Mac and decided to write from the kitchen. The bedroom had one window, whereas the kitchen was surrounded by them. Not that the view was great because it wasn’t, but it certainly trumped water. Shade had many men but they did their own thing and never even looked at me. Pouring myself another cup of coffee, I close my eyes working the scene out in my head.

“Last night was hot,” says an unfamiliar voice.
