He nodded at her, each thrust he made slow and deliberate, so maddeningly slow, but so filled with purpose. All the time his gaze never left hers.

Each thrust bordered on too much, and yet each thrust unleashed a deeper realm of pleasure. She gave guttural responses, unable to verbalise her feelings. Her orgasm was on the horizon, threatening to overwhelm her.

"You've been very patient," he whispered, "You can come now."

She saw the restraint in him – it was there in the tension in his body, the tone of his voice, and the concentration in his eyes. He wanted them to come together, that's why he'd made her wait so long. And he was nearly there.

Her neck arched. She trembled, and her first wave of release rolled over her.

"Lucas!" Clinging to him, she ground her hips against his, her emotions soaring when she reached climax and liquid pleasure poured through her.

She saw his eyes shut tight for a moment before he focused on her again, gazing into her eyes as his body grew tense with imminent climax, the muscles in his neck standing out. Then he moved and his thumb made contact with her clit.

The pressure of his thumb shifted her into top gear and she was right there all over again, a sparkling orgasm building.

"Oh, oh!" Her groin was on fire, and she half sat, her hands clawed at his shoulders as her second orgasm roared in on her.

She clung to him when it hit, melting into him in every way.

Lucas's head dropped and he locked his hands on her hips, his body stilling.

Wedged deep, his rock-hard cock jerked over and over as he came.

Her core was still in spasm, rippling around his erection.

They'd come together.

"Worth the wait?" he murmured.

"Well worth the torturous wait," she said, with a soft laugh, then pulled him down to meet her grateful kiss.

Chapter Four

When Naomi awoke on Saturday morning Lucas was propped on one elbow looking down at her.

"Do you ever sleep?"

"Not when there's a beautiful woman like you in my bed to admire."

Did it happen often
? she wondered.

"So, what were your plans for the day?" he asked, as if it was the most natural thing in the world.

It put her at her ease though, which was just as well because it felt strange being there, in the cold light of day. He made it easier. "I was planning to go on the London Eye. I like to do it every time I visit, see what's changed on the London skyline. It's like a ritual."

"Good. We can do that."

She looked at him suspiciously. "Surely you had other plans."

"I have a little business to attend to, but it won't take long." He threw back the bed covers and climbed out. "Coffee?"

Naomi stared at his naked body. He walked across the room nonchalantly, giving her a look at his muscular physique.

"Um. Yes please. Can I help?"

"No, you stay there. I'll bring you breakfast in bed."

He collected a midnight blue robe from the wardrobe.

"I thought you didn't cook."

"Ah, I don't count putting a few things on a tray as cooking." He winked.

"Some men would," she said and laughed. She watched with regret as he covered up with the robe. It made her think about what she would wear. She sat up, gathering her senses. "My stuff. Oh no, we left my stuff at your office. I had a change of clothes and toiletries in my portfolio case."

"Not a problem, I'll get security to send it over in a cab."

Nothing seemed to be a problem to him. "Okay, thanks. I really appreciate that."

Propped up on the pillows, she gazed around the bedroom after he'd gone. Much like her first impression of the living area, it all looked rather like a hotel suite, as if it had been furnished for the top end rental market. Except for the bed. The sheets were in direct contrast with all the beige and autumn colored fabrics everywhere else. The bedding was cotton sheen, expensive fabric that felt glorious next to the skin. Nowhere near as glorious as having Lucas himself next to her skin, but she couldn't help noticing the fabric. It was her trade.

The smell of coffee percolating made its way down the hallway.

It sharpened her mind and she took the opportunity to get in touch with Sam. Darting over to where Lucas had deposited her clothes and her clutch bag at some point in the night, she pulled her phone out of her bag and hurried back to the bed, climbing in and covering herself up with the sheets.

"Hello stranger," Sam answered. "I'm guessing you were offered a more comfortable bed then my foldout sofa?"

"Something like that, yes. I'm really sorry, but my day got rescheduled like you wouldn't believe." She chuckled. The understatement of the decade.

"Who was the guy on the phone? Is he the buyer you went to see?"

"Not exactly. The buyer had been called away so I saw this other guy and, well...he invited me to dinner."

Sam laughed. "And the rest, as they say, is history."

"History I won't be forgetting any time soon." Naomi giggled.

"That good, huh? Well, I want all the details when you do get around to visiting with me."

"I'll keep you posted by text. He asked me what we were planning to do today and he says he's going to take me on the London Eye himself."

"So I'm a second-class citizen now you've got some gorgeous man to take you on the eye."

"You know that's not true."

"Of course I do, I'm joking. Have fun, stay safe."

She switched off her phone and put it on the bedside table.

The sound of a doorbell made her look at the open doorway. Lucas strode past and a moment later ushered in a delivery man carrying a box of groceries. His uniform looked familiar. Fortnum and Mason, if she wasn't mistaken.

When Lucas saw him out he was on the phone. Apparently he was the master of multi-tasking. A moment later he arrived with the breakfast. The tray was laden with goodies including fresh croissants, coffee, and a dish of exotic fruit salad. "Can I get you anything else?"

"Goodness, no."

The doorbell sounded again. Lucas headed out and a moment later returned with her portfolio case.

"Oh wow, thank you."

He grabbed a croissant. "I have to go deal with some business, I won't be long."

"You have an office here, right?"

He nodded.

She chuckled. "You have a bed at the office and an office in the home, doesn't surprise me one bit."

"Hmm, I bet you have a workspace where you live."

"Of course." She grinned. "In fact I live in a flat over my shop, so it's half work space, half home comforts. They overlap."

"How similar we are."

They might have that in common but Naomi knew she was nowhere near as good at multi-tasking as he was. In the time it had taken for her to wake up properly he'd dealt with breakfast, two deliveries, a phone call and now he was revving up for work.

By the time he returned Naomi had eaten, checked her email, showered and dressed. She put on the fitted drainpipes and tunic she'd been planning to wear for the day, and wore her hair in a thick plait over one shoulder. As she dressed, she wondered if the business-look was what he preferred, but when he checked her out on his return he seemed to like her in more casual gear too.

"Give me five minutes," he said.

Naomi wandered to the sitting room and picked up a brochure she found on the coffee table. It was a publicity document for one of his clients and she took the chance to admire the top end presentation of a designer and their product.

When Lucas joined her he was wearing jeans and tight black t shirt. He shucked on a black leather jacket and ran his fingers through his damp hair, pushing it back. He seemed to be attempting to look like a regular guy. Impossible, because he was so distinctive. The casual clothes were tightly fitted and drew her attention in a different way.

He put out his hand. "Let's go."

Naomi sighed with pleasure as she stood up, and took his hand.

When they got outside, Naomi was surprised to see a giant black and chrome SUV beyond Lucas's car. There was a guy standing next to the driver's door, looking at them expectantly. He was dressed smartly and as they approached he opened the back doors for them.

When she looked at Lucas with a querying glance, he shrugged "Hey, if we're sightseeing together, we're sightseeing together."

Yup
, she thought to herself as she climbed into the car,
this man does nothing by halves
.

The driver acknowledged Lucas as if they knew each other. Presumably he drove for the agency when required.

Lucas buckled her in and then leaned over close to her, looking through the window on her side. She snuggled back against him, getting closer still.

"I haven't done anything like this in a long while," Lucas told her as they got into the heart of the city, and took her hand in his. "This is my home and I know it inside out, but you get to the point in life where you don't look at the fun things anymore."

There was something about the way he said it that made her wonder if he was talking about life, as well is living in the city. For a man like Lucas, with the kind of power and responsibility he had, it would be easy to forget to take time off. Or was that just an assumption on her part? She couldn't be sure. He may well do this every weekend. They scarcely knew each other, after all. Less than a day before she hadn't even met him. It was unnerving, because she was enjoying the experience so much. If she paused and thought about it, it felt as if she'd wandered off her path, and that left her uneasy.

The driver dropped them near the massive wheel of the London Eye. The buoyancy of the waiting crowd distracted her. As they waited in line Lucas frequently put his arm around her shoulders, leaning in to comment on things.

"This reminds me of being a teenager at the fair, waiting to go on a ride."

She nodded. "It certainly feels that way." She looked up into his eyes and yes, there was the feeling of discovery and adventure about the whole thing, even the sudden involvement with him. It was like a holiday affair.

When it came their turn to climb into the capsule Lucas held her hand and found them a place to stand. He rested one hand on the grab rail that ran around the inside of the capsule and drew her in against him so her back was against his chest.  Then he wrapped his free arm around her waist and kissed her, indicating this was where he intended to stay. Naomi liked the intimacy.

They shared the capsule with several families, one of them including the grandparents. The kids were excited. One of the little girls squealed with delight the higher they got then ran to her Dad to be cuddled and hide her face.

"You're not afraid of heights?" Lucas whispered in her ear.

"Now you ask. Do you think I could've survived your ridiculous jogging machine of yours if I'd been afraid of heights?" She felt his laughter in his chest and she laughed too. "What on earth made you put the thing right on the edge of the world like that?" She glanced back at him

"I like the challenge," he whispered, looking at her with heavy lidded eyes. "When I get up to speed it feels almost like flying."

There was his intensity again, the thing that made him ambitious and driven. He was a man after heightened experience, and she witnessed it last night when they had sex. No quick wham-bam-shag-you-ma'am for Mr. Lucas Eaglestone, no way. He wanted them both to experience the most intense anticipation – and the most intense mutual sexual fulfilment that they could.

She looked out across the city. They'd reached the highest point and the view was incredible.  She glanced back at him. "Can we see your office from here?"

He nodded, but he was looking at her. When she half turned to him, he ducked down and kissed her.

Naomi melted. Turning to face him fully she looped her arms around his neck and leaned into him. She was in the sky, being kissed by a gorgeous man who didn't care who saw.

"Honeymooners," a woman's voice said nearby, "they must be. They're oblivious to the rest of us
and
the view."

Laughter ensued all around.

Naomi pulled away. When she looked at Lucas she saw he was amused by the remark. That was a relief. Most men would be freaked out to be called a honeymooner on a first date.

"Show me where it is, your office," she said, "my sense of direction is terrible."

Lucas obliged and then pointed out the route across town she would have travelled to get to the building.

After they disembarked they strolled along the South Bank as they chatted. It was a perfect day. They could see the river, the Houses of Parliament and they were enjoying the last of the summer sunshine on the tree-lined promenade. As ever, the area was abuzz with market stalls and musicians, families and couples and tourists all enjoying the Sunday morning sunshine.

"I used to come here with my friends on a Sunday morning when I was an impoverished student."

"How did you get the finance to get started, a business loan?"

"I'd secured one, yes, but then I had an unexpected inheritance. My Mum died and my Dad insisted I put her savings into my business instead of dealing with the bank. She was always supportive of my work, and he insisted. It was tough decision, to be honest, but I think it's made me work even harder, in her memory."

"If it's given you a deeper cause, that's positive, and it's a powerful memoriam."

"If it's successful, big
if
."

"That's true. But I don't see you failing. You're committed, you're talented, and you have total belief in your designs."

It was the most he'd said about her business, and she was just about to try to elicit more commentary from him when his phone bleeped.

"Sorry," he said when he looked at the screen. "I'll have to take this. I'll keep it short."

Naomi nodded and smiled, then wandered on ahead to give him privacy. Throughout the course of their time together that day he'd checked his email hourly and made several business phone calls, sometimes asking the caller if he could get back in touch with them on Monday, other times answering quick queries. His job really was twenty-four/seven, just as he'd said. She rested her hands on a wall and looked out across the river, thinking about it. She felt a bit overwhelmed that he'd set it all aside the evening before to spend time with her.

"Shall we grab something to eat?" Lucas asked when he caught her up.

Naomi gestured at the nearby street cafés and their pavement tables and chairs. "Is alfresco acceptable, or is it a bit too much like take-out for you?"

He raised an eyebrow. "You can be quite the cheeky madam when you want to, Ms. Kildare."

"I'm only teasing. I'd hate to see you out of your depth trying to order a hot dog, not knowing the drill."
