“Thanks, Boatman,” I hear Twigs whisper against his chest, her small arms wrapped tightly around his large tense form.

“Yeah, well, I’m getting tired of watching you flop around on the ground like a fish out of water and telling me about the boys from school who wear socks on their ears.”

Twigs pushes back from him and hits him in the arm. “I don’t flop like a fish!”

Jenna laughs. “Oh, you sure do, Emily.” She smiles lovingly at her sister. Twigs gives her a slanted look. “But now that you’re gonna have the pump, it’ll regulate you.” Jenna runs her hand along Twigs’s long braid. “There’ll be less of a chance of that happening. They are going to come in soon and talk to you about it. They’re going to insert a small tube into your skin—”

“I know what it is, Jenna.” Twigs rolls her eyes. “And I’m ready for it.” She looks at Fallon. “This is a real good thing you’ve done for me,” she points a finger at him, “but don’t think you’re getting out of what we just talked about, Boatman.”

Fallon smiles down at her. “Don’t worry, kid, I’ll work on getting that shit done, but this pump thing, that’s on you. You need to take care of it.”

“I know,” she grimaces, “this ain’t kid’s stuff. I get it. I can do it. Now, go,” she waves a hand at Fallon, “go get working on your stuff.”

I watch as the two have this secret conversation between one another, wondering what task the twelve-year-old is ordering Fallon to do.

Fallon laughs at her and turns to me. “Do you believe this, she’s kicking us out?”

“Ah,” I look up at him and grin, “she’s kicking you out.”

“No, babe, she knows that where I go, you go.” His eyes slip over to Twigs. “Isn’t that right, kid?”

“Yep,” she nods, looking at me with that big heart-warming smile. “Thanks for coming to see me, but right now,” Twigs nudges her head at Fallon, “he needs you more than I do.”

Chapter Twenty-Three

Katie

We take a cab back to Fallon’s place. Neither of us says a word while we sit quietly in the cab. I’m not sure where we go from here, but I know that we need to discuss last night. That we need to figure out what’s going on between the two of us. I’m hoping we have a fighting chance, but Fallon O’Conner never gives anything away. He’s so hard to read or predict. It frustrates me, but I think that I’m kinda attracted to it, too.

He pays the driver and lets me into his house. I walk in. His scent surrounds me. I set my purse on the coffee table. “That was really a nice thing you did for Twigs,” I say as I turn around. He’s right there, pulling me into his arms. His head bends and our lips meet. It’s a hungry kiss, the kind that’s been waiting forever to be fed. I wrap my arms around him, moan against his mouth, and deepen the kiss.

He pushes me backward. I hit the wall. Not breaking from the kiss, I reach down and undo his pants. My desires taking over, I need him. I pull his cock free. I stroke it, needing all of him. The kiss intensifies, our tongues tangle, and our mating sounds vibrate within every touch. His hands are up my skirt, and in a flash, my panties are torn clean from my body. I love the way he takes charge, the way he takes me. I am his, and he knows it. He lifts me up, grunting and panting. I grab his shoulders, clawing at his shirt. With one hard thrust, he’s inside of me.

“Fuck,” his body shudders, the strength of his muscles rippling beneath me. “I’ve wanted to do that since you walked into the damn hospital,” he says against my neck, his hot breath searing my flesh. “It’s tough enough trying to fight a hard-on caused by you, but getting one in the hospital, that shit’s fucked up. But that’s what you do to me, stowaway.” He grips my ass, grinding against me. My clitoris rubs up and down along his flesh, and I feel my orgasm building already. “The second I see you, it’s over. I’m done.” His possessive fingers dig into my flesh. He presses me harder to his muscle bound body, his cock plunging deeper and deeper inside of me. “I need you, babe. Need you like this and so much more,” he says, trailing hot, wet kisses up my neck. My heart clings to his words as my legs cling tighter around his thrusting hips, the friction on my clit escalating with each powerful thrust. “Yeah, that’s it. Hold me, Katie.” His palms hit the wall, arms straightening, biceps bulging. His power etched into every line on his beautiful, determined face. “Don’t let go,” his fervent eyes meet mine, “not ever,” he growls, and then he fucks me hard against that wall, so hard, until we finally surrender to the indestructible passion created between us.

Trying to catch my breath, Fallon rests his forehead against mine. I can’t see him, he’s too close, but I feel him all through my body. “Damn, girl,” he says, his warm breath tingling my lips, “you rock my fucking world.”

I smile, pleased with myself, although he did all the work. I lower my legs, and my skirt falls back over my hips and thighs. He readjusts himself, zipping up his pants. “Sorry about these.” He bends down and picks up my panties, holding them out to me. I laugh, taking them from him. “And,” he looks up at me, eyes tempering, “sorry about last night,” he runs a hand through his hair, “I was drunk and—”

Placing my ruined panties on the edge of the sofa, my eyes flash back to his. “You remember last night?”

“Ah,” he drops his hand from his head, peering up at me through long lashes, “yeah.”

“But I thought that you…” I study him, does he really remember what happened last night. What he said? My heart beats fast. “You mentioned Hope. You… you called me Hope.”

“Hold up.” His hand shoots in the air. “You thought that I thought you were Hope?”

“You said—”

He grabs me and pulls me to him. “When are you gonna get it. Hope’s gone, and I know that. I’ve…” he pauses, head tilting as if he’s just had an epiphany. “Babe, I’ve moved on,” he says.

“So,” I search him, “what you said, you meant it?”

He wraps his arms around me, looking down through hooded eyes. “Every damn word.” He leans in and presses one light kiss against my lips. “Last night when I found out that the accident was my fault, I wanted to lie down on that ground and die, I really did. But there you were, standing before me with that beautiful light of yours glowing all around you, and I realized that I’m not ready to lie down, and I don’t want to return to the darkness.” He brushes his knuckles against my cheek, catching a falling tear. Damn, I’ve cried way too much these past two days, but I can’t stop myself. My emotions are overwhelming me. Fallon is taking over my heart, my life, and I love it. “And that tiny, little fucking piece of you that you managed to slip into my heart. Well, that hole you succeeded in opening just keeps getting bigger.”

“So, there’s some room in there for me now,” I say, choking back joyful tears.

“Considering it was pretty empty to begin with, yeah.” His thumb strokes my cheek. “Listen, I will always love Hope, and this is what she wanted, for me to find someone to love, to move on, and to be happy. Honestly, I didn’t think any of those things were a possibility until you came crashing into my life. And I ain’t saying it’s gonna be easy. I still have some shit I need to work out, but you’re right. There’s definitely something going on between us, and I’m ready to see where it goes.”

“Finally.” I grin up at him.

“Hey, it’s not like a choice. You’re a determined one, stowaway.” He smiles, eyes sparkling affectionately down at me.

“Yeah, about this stowaway thing, ya know most girls like to be called baby, sweetheart, honey, stuff like that.”

His eyebrow raises. “Yeah, and some like to be called bitch. They do,” he laughs, his arms tightening around me. “But you, you’re definitely a stowaway. You hid in my heart, and when I needed you the most, you came out from hiding, and you saved this ship from sinking. Sorry, but you’ll always be my stowaway…”

Epilogue

“No, don’t move up and down,” I say.

Katie stops and scowls at me. Her pink tipped nipples are erect, looking so fucking lickable.

“Don’t you like when I do that,” she says, forehead wrinkling. “Doesn’t it feel good?”

After taking my fill of her perfect tits and loving the feel of her sitting on me with my cock burrowed in her sweet love canal, I smile up at her. “Yes. It feels amazing. But, right now, it’s not about me. It’s about you.” I place my hands on her shapely hips. “Now, stay just like this, but rock your hips back and forth, not up and down.” I gently guide her to me and then sway her back.

Her protesting eyebrows scrunch together. “But—”

“Babe,” I grimace. “Stop trying to control the situation, and do as I say. Trust me, it’ll feel fucking amazing for you, too.”

“Fine,” her nose crinkles, and she starts to move her hips as instructed. And, after these past few months, I know that look on her beautiful face. She has some fight left in her. “But,” she sighs, “Fallon, I don’t think—” she stops, head tilting to the left. She squints down at me and starts to move again, back and forth. “Oh!” Her eyes snap open wide as she tests the motion again. “Oh!” she says a little louder. Her hands hit my chest, and the rhythmic motion of her hips intensifies. “Oh, my God!” she squeals, writhing along my thighs. “Oh, my God!” She hits my chest harder, grinding against me. “Damn!” She looks down at me. “Why does that feel so good?”

“Ahh,” I raise a brow, “you like that, huh?”

“Yes,” she says in a higher pitch. “Yes! It feels good! Why does it— Oh my— It feels so good. So amazing!”

All I can do is smile from ear to ear, fully aware that she’s found her g-spot, and she’s using my cock to stroke it. Her head sways back. Her fingernails dig into my chest as she frantically rides out her orgasm.

When she’s through screaming, crying out, and beating the shit out of my chest, she drops down on me. Her warm panting breaths sashay my battered chest. I run a hand over her hair, waiting for her to catch her breath. Her head finally lifts, and her beautiful blue eyes peer up at me.

“Wow,” she says, staring dazedly at me. Her head lifts a little higher along with her eyebrows. “Can I do that again?”

I chuckle; it must be her first time discovering that magical button. “Have at it, babe.” And she does, two more times. But, me, I’m not complaining.

After Katie’s gotten her fill of orgasms, she jumps up from the bed. “I need some water.”

You’d think all those orgasms would’ve worn the woman out, but I’ve come to learn, orgasms give this girl a burst of energy. But if I have to be honest, she did do all the work just now. I get out of the bed and follow her into the kitchen, naked. Something else I’ve discovered about Katie Rustle. She’s comfortable with her body. She walks around naked—a lot. So I got a hard-on, like all the fucking time. Still, she’s more than eager to take care of that bad boy whenever he needs it. Again, not complaining.

She’s standing at the counter downing a bottle of water. I walk up to her and she pulls the bottle from her mouth tilting it my way. “Want some?”

“I’m good.” I slip my hand around her waist and pull her to me.

She looks around the kitchen. We haven’t really been at my place in a while. We’ve been staying at her apartment. So, we decided to spend the weekend in Avalon.

“Ya know,” she sets her water down on the counter and looks up at me, “I really wish you’d consider—”

“Stop right there,” I say, shaking my head, pulling her against me. “No wishes, babe. I tend to lose them. If you want something, just ask for it. Okay?”

“Okay,” she nods. “Well then,” she wraps her arms around my waist. “I want you to move in with me.”

“All right,” I say before my brain has a chance to consider it. Hell, I can’t ask her to tell me her wishes and then not make the first one come true.

Her eyes widen. “Really?”

I reach to the left of me, pull the calendar down from the fridge, and drop it on the counter. Keeping her within my grasp, I pull the drawer open, fish out a pen, and circle the next Tuesday to come. “I’ll move in on this date.” I set the pen down and shift back in front of her. “I was going to move closer to you anyways.”

“You were?” She views me from the corner of her eye. I nod. “But what about this place?”

I shrug. “I’m gonna give it to Twigs and Jenna. Unless, you want me to keep it, ‘cause—”

“No!” She kisses me. “Oh, Fallon, that’s so nice of you.” She kisses me again. “You have such a huge heart, it’s just one of the many things that I’ve come to love about you, and Twigs deserves this place. After all, she did kinda save you.”

“Yeah, that stubborn little shit,” I laugh, then sober as I gaze into Katie’s eyes. Fuck. I love this woman. “Ya know, these past few years, she did keep my head afloat. But, you were the one who saved me. You reached in and pulled my ass out from the darkness, and I’m so thankful that you did. You invaded my space, awakened my life, and you, my little stowaway, snuck in and filled my
huge
, empty heart.”

“Believe me that wasn’t my intention when I walked onto your boat. I honestly thought that I was the best person for the job, thought I could handle the notorious Fallon O’Conner. It’s why I offered to hunt you down.”

“Oh, babe, you did more than handle me. You made me feel, again. You showed me that I could love, again. And, Katie Rustle, you are in trouble for making me fall in love with you, ‘cause now you’ll be handling me for a very long time…”

Lucky Numbers

A TroubleMaker Novel

Chapter One

Eight, three, four, six, nine…eight, three, four, six, nine…
Lucky repeated the numbers in his head, those precious digits that in a few weeks would unlock a prosperous future for him. He jotted them down on a piece of paper. Lucky then placed the original deeds to his tattoo shops in the new safe, closed it, gave the combination lock a good spin, and pulled out the key.

“That’s it!” said Sloan, his cousin and manager, storming into his office. Her face almost as fiery red as her hair. Her odd, violet eyes alit with anger. Something had the five-two little fireball all riled up. “You gotta get a handle on Rex. Like I told ya before, he’s all chalked up.” She slammed her hands on her hips. “Probably doin’ the lines right here in the damn bathroom, and now the asshole’s got two drunk chicks in the back. Two! And they look like little princesses. They’re gonna bring all sorts of trouble back here. You don’t need that kind of shit. You
are
trying to open two more shops, right?”
