I heard Trish gulp.

“This can’t be happening,” I whispered,
suddenly realizing I spoke louder than I’d intended when Landyn’s
arm snaked around my waist and pulled me close to his side. His
head lowered and I felt his breath on my neck just a moment before
I felt his lips move against my ear.

“Lexi, baby, look at them. Get ready. This
is
gonna happen,” he replied in a sexy, low voice that only
I could hear.

Shit! Poor Trish.
