“My mate is right. She was a veritable shrew.” Tren grinned even as Megan elbowed him in the ribs. He wrapped his arms around her and nuzzled her neck. “It’s one of her most endearing qualities. As for you, why can’t you get your female back?”

“Because she’s gone home to Zonia. You know, the planet with the hordes of females that kill males on sight,” Jaro retorted sarcastically. “It would be suicide to try and abduct her from there.”

“Tren could do it,” Megan announced with clear pride.

“Of course, I could. I am, after all, the greatest assassin in the known universe,” Tren added.

“Former,” Jaro corrected. “And if you can do it, so can I.” As soon as he said it, something inside him eased and he laughed. Tren joined him. Those same words, after all, had gotten them both into more trouble over the galactic cycles than anything else. And made him the skilled male he found himself today.
If anyone is capable of intentionally abducting a
Zonian warrior from under the hordes’ beaks, it would be me.

Planning an infiltration, though, of a female dominated planet that few rarely stepped foot on proved challenging. Jaro studied every bit of information his brother could get his hands on as he readied his ship for departure.

Distracted with thoughts of Aylia, and frustrated with how long the preparation to fetch her was taking, he missed the fist that hit him square in the jaw as he exited Tren’s home.

He staggered, and blindly swung back.

Brax, however, danced back out of reach.

“What was that for?” Jaro growled, rubbing his chin.

“For breaking the pretty Zonian warrior,” the usually affable Brax snapped.

“What are you talking about? Aylia was injured? You idiots! You were supposed to protect her,” Jaro yelled, clenching his fists so as to not kill his aunt’s overgrown idiots.

“She’s fine no thanks to you. We ended up following her the whole trip home because after you kicked her out, she alternated between seriously injuring males who spoke to her or even looked at her, and crying.”

Aylia in tears? He couldn’t imagine it. “Why would she cry? She’s the one who wanted to leave me because she was pregnant. Breeding was all she ever wanted me for.” Xarn aimed a punch at him, but Jaro dodged it.

“Idiot. She didn’t want to go. How could you not see she wanted you to ask her to stay?”

“And would it have killed you to tell her you loved her? Any dolt with half a brain could see how besotted the pair of you were,” Brax interjected.

“Well, excuse me for not getting the frukxing memo,” Jaro snarled, irritated that everyone seemed to know Aylia wanted him except for him. “If it makes you feel any better, I’m about to sneak onto the Zonian planet and steal her back.”

“Really?” His cousins’ eyes lit up. “Can we come?” Why not? Worst case scenario, he could always toss the two pains in his buttocks to the Zonians when he escaped with his fiery warrior princess.

And in the best case scenario, some Zonians would abduct the idiots and try to mate with them. Either way, he’d win and get his Aylia back.

Intentional Abduction – Eve Langlais
Chapter Fifteen

Pantariste knocked her down for the third time in a row, not that Aylia could bring herself to care. Pain seemed the only thing that could penetrate her numbness.

“What is wrong with you?” scolded her teacher.

“Ever since you’ve successfully returned, breeding a child, you’ve moped about.”

“It’s nothing,” Aylia replied with a sigh.
Nothing except
I miss Jaro with every ounce of my being, and I now wish I’d never left.

Worse, she couldn’t go back, not when it meant swallowing her pride and begging him to keep her. Talk about pathetic.

Besides, having gone over their conversation a million times in her head, she came to the conclusion she’d somehow wronged Jaro, and she knew firsthand, warriors didn’t forgive those who trespassed them. They killed them. Even if he didn’t, and he let her say her piece, let her admit she’d made a mistake in leaving him, she feared his rejection more than anything.

“I think your hormones have addled your mental capacity. Anyone can see you’re upset.”

“You wouldn’t understand,” Aylia grumbled, throwing her stave to the ground and strutting off. But her teacher wouldn’t let it rest and kept pace beside her.

“Understand what? That you miss the male you mated with as your first.”

Astonished, Aylia turned to face her teacher. “How did you know?”

Pantariste snorted. “Do you think you are the first female to have feelings for her quarry? Let me tell you something that I will deny if repeated. My children all have the same father.”

It took a moment for the meaning to sink in. “You mean, you mated all eleven times with the same male? But how? I thought you hunted the males down in the wild, choosing the strongest and wiliest.” A grin stretched her teacher’s beak. “I still do. My male is so crafty, he made me care for him. When I hunt to breed, he makes sure to taunt me, and leads me on a merry chase. Once captured, sometimes, I am not always the conqueror.” A greenish hue matted her mottled cheeks at the admission. “I have even met my sons. They are not as fierce as my daughters, but they will make fine fathers themselves someday to a lucky Zonian female.”

Astonished, Aylia had to ask, “If you care for him, then why do you come back?”

“It is the Zonian way,” Pantariste replied sadly.

“Bravery in battle is easy. Having the courage to buck tradition? Not so much.”

“And if it weren’t for the Zonian way?”

“I think I would enjoy waking in the arms of a lover every sunrise, as would you.”

Aylia sighed and looked out the window again. “It’s too late now. He probably hates me because I left him.

Besides, he never wanted me in the first place. I never gave him a choice when I abducted him. And he only ever abducted me back for revenge.”

Pantariste snorted. “Revenge involves blood and pain.

I see signs of neither on you. I’d say, he kidnapped you because he wanted to.”

“Maybe, but then I ruined it.”

“Stubborn chick. You are just like my daughters of the flesh. Fear not. Things will get easier with time. Perhaps you will find him again on your next mating quest.” Aylia doubted she’d ever have the fortitude to go forth again, not if she couldn’t be sure of finding Jaro. But if she didn’t…the future ahead appeared bleak—and lonely.

The hand slapped over her mouth woke her, and she thrashed until she heard his low voice. “Stop fighting me or I’ll have to use the rope.”

167

Intentional Abduction – Eve Langlais Instantly, she went still, her heart racing as her mind twirled through the myriad of reasons he’d come.
He wants the
baby. He wants revenge. He wants me?
Only the last thought sounded more like a query, but how she wished it were true.

“Will you stay quiet if I remove my hand?” She nodded and he pulled it away, his fingers stroking her cheek.

“What are you doing here? They’ll kill you if they find you,” she whispered, worry for his wellbeing her main concern.

His pointed teeth flashed in the darkness of the room.

“I’d like to see them try. And I’m here because I couldn’t stay away. Frukx it all, I don’t know how it happened, but I can’t live without you, Aylia.”

He couldn’t?
The night suddenly took on a decidedly light turn that matched the radiance of her smile.

She would have answered him, but his lips claimed hers in a fiery kiss that shot all thought from her mind and sent tingling heat throughout her body. For several moments, he embraced her with an intense passion that she reciprocated. She ran her hands over his body, reacquainting herself with the breadth of his shoulders, the taut muscles of his back, the smell of him.

She mewled in loss when he drew back, his eyes glowing in the darkness. Wrapping her arms around his neck, 168

“Come away with me, Aylia, please. I will find us a planet to live on, anywhere you like. I will give you whatever you need if you join me. I can’t live without you.” He swallowed hard and she could have sworn he trembled. “I love you, princess.”

Air whooshed from her at his announcement, and she gaped at him. Happiness made her heart stretch and she smiled, her hand reaching to stroke his cheek softly. “I need you too. I love you so much, Jaro.” She would have said more, stupid flowery things about what he meant to her, but he dove on her, his hands ripping her clothes from her while his mouth scorched a trail from her mouth, across her jawline, and down her neck.

Aylia arched under him, his heated kisses igniting her arousal, making her frantic. His mouth reached her breast and while he cupped its fullness with one hand, he caught her ring with his teeth and tugged, sending a jolt right down to her cleft. She weaved her fingers into his silky hair, clutching at him as he tortured her, sucking on her nipple one moment, twisting her piercing the next. As if that weren’t sensation enough, his free hand slid down her body between her thighs.

His calloused finger stroked her between her folds, using her own honey to rub against her engorged nub.

169

Intentional Abduction – Eve Langlais Hips undulating, a cry escaped her as her body, after such a long drought, climaxed.

“Shhh,” he whispered, moving back up her body before capturing her lips. While their tongues battles wetly, her hands tugged at his pants, wanting to feel him inside her.

Her hand wrapped around his rod and he groaned into her mouth. She stroked his heated length until he growled at her.

“Roll over.”

Immediately, she flipped onto her stomach. On the battlefield, or in a skirmish, she enjoyed the role of warrior, but with Jaro, naked and aroused, she found enjoyment in submitting. Especially since she knew later, he would submit to her.

“I’m going to claim you,” he promised, his hands tugging her bottom up, his body fitting itself between her thighs. “After this night, you will belong to me. And only me.”

His possessive words made her moan. “Yes.”

“I won’t share you, Aylia. Your babes will be mine.

And I intend to play a part in raising them.”

“I’ll kill you if you so much as look at another female,” she growled over her shoulder.

He slapped her buttock, but playfully. “We were so made for each other, my love.”

170

Intentional Abduction – Eve Langlais Digging his fingers into her flesh, he spread her, then speared her with his length. Jaro pounded her flesh, the width of his cock stretching her channel, driving into her. Aylia rocked back against him, loving how he seated himself so deep in her. Back and forth he thrust, each stroke driving her pleasure upward and making her sex clamp around him. His flesh slapped against hers in a rapid cadence that saw her biting her fist to hold back her moans of pleasure lest someone hear and come to investigate.

Leaning forward, he curved his upper body against her back, his lips placing lingering kisses on the flesh of her shoulder blades.

“Oh, Aylia,” he whispered. “My fiery princess. You are mine. All mine. Forever.” With those words, he sank his teeth into her flesh, and she couldn’t completely prevent the small cry that escaped her, not of pain, but absolute joy. In his moment of marking, she climaxed, her channel rippling around his length as he continued to pump before hotly jetting his seed into her.

They collapsed on her bed, their bodies entwined, their hearts racing madly from the erotic exertion.

Jaro sighed.

“What’s wrong?” she asked, running a finger down his chest.

“This wasn’t part of the plan, which means Brax, Xarn, and my brother are probably worried right now.”

“And just what was your plan?” she asked, leaning up on one elbow.

“I was going to throw you over my shoulder, take you back to my ship, hopefully before anyone noticed. Then I was going to tie you to my bed and torture you with my cock until you admitted you loved me.”

“Sounds like fun. So what are we waiting for?” A chuckle made his chest vibrate. “My perfect mate.

Get those sweet buttocks of yours moving. We need to escape before the idiots start a war.” Aylia groaned. “Oh no. Please don’t tell me those two are planetside.”

“Maybe.”

Their eyes locked in understanding and, in moments, they were dressing. Aylia hoped she could get them out of there before something happened because while she loved her tribe, she’d also come to care for Jaro’s cousins and didn’t want to see them hurt either.

If only they could escape unnoticed, she could send a message to Pantariste and her friends later—after she let Jaro use his ropes on her.
Maybe alot later, so I also get a turn with him
trussed at my mercy.

Chapter Sixteen

Jaro tried to keep her tucked behind him when they emerged from her abode, but of course, his warrior princess would have none of it and she stayed by his side. By all the stars in the galaxy, how he loved her courage.

It appeared, however, that their stealthy movement was for naught, though, as the clearing outside her home lit up, and he bit back a groan when he saw the thick ring of Zonians spread out in front of him. Talk about frukxed. If he killed them, Aylia would get mad. Yet, if he didn’t, they’d probably pulverize him.

A particularly nasty-looking Zonian with a pendulous breast and ferocious-looking yellow eyes stepped forward.

“Who are you, and what do you here?” Jaro stood tall, and baring his teeth in a smile that scared more than one race, replied, “I am Jarokaluan, scourge of the galaxy, and first class warrior of Aressotle, and in the time honored tradition of my people, I’ve come to steal Aylia as my mate.”
