He turned his head to face her. “It’s fine. I just never heard you. Then I was also miles away.”

“Anywhere nice?”

“Yes, somewhere very special!”

Sophie made her way around the table and into the c-shaped kitchen, small but practical. His eyes on her, he’d followed her turning his body. Slowly, she stepped closer to him. Her eyes locked to his. Her heart jumped inside her chest, anxious whether she was doing the right thing or not. There was no point in her hiding her emotions from him, it was clear he felt exactly the same way as her it was about time she accepted it.

“I watched you with Kacey earlier,” she announced.

“You did?” he replied.

She watched him swallow hard.

“Yes, I did, all snuggled with her on your chest and the fact you changed her…that meant the world to me,” she confessed stepping nearer to him.

“Oh,” he replied.

Their eyes locked together, feeling the intensity between them.

“I liked it.” She smiled.

“Good, so did I.”

She stood before him, his hands down the side of his body. Staring hard at one another, she could sense the fire about to ignite. She smiled with great adoration at him. Sophie moved even closer to him. Standing before him. Her breathing accelerated. Overcome with anxiousness, wishing for nothing more than to make the next move. He’d proved his capabilities and nurture toward her daughter. She reached forward for his hands, grasping them. Her eyes focused absorbedly to each other.

She moved ever nearer to him, their toes touching sending a pulse throughout her body. She leaned into him to his right ear.

“Calvin,” she whispered.

“Yes,” he softly replied.

She could feel his breath on her face. She needed more, much, more than ever. They were so close, so in love and Sophie hoped it would be the start of a wonderful relationship.

“And you would move heaven on earth to be with me and my daughter?”

“Yes.”

“And you love me?”

“Yes,” he replied.

“You really wish to marry me and accept my horrendous past?”

“Yes, every inch of it.”

She closed her eyes having his breath cascade on her face. She wanted this. She needed this. She had to have the one man who’d shown and given her the great compassion she had been searching for. She longed for happiness, security, to be appreciated. Calvin was that man. He was her world, yes she had reservations, but right now all those could be pushed to the side and allow her to embrace, seek, and enjoy.

She moved her lips toward his. Softly she pressed her lips against his, a rush of sensual tensions oozed through her body, wanting him more than anything, needing him to look after her forever. Their lips pressed harder together. She could feel him breathing through his mouth, his body tightened up. Their hands embraced, feeling the energy race through their figures as they touched. Her chest pressed against his. Sophie felt ready to make the next step.

She pressed her lips harder to his, she knew he was the one, like she did on the day they met in the barn. The things he’d done for her, the way he saved her life, stopped her from taking her and her daughter’s life. He was the one who took her in, listened and helped her, now she was ready, ready for Calvin Edwards.

“Oh, Sophie…” he muttered.

She breathed into his mouth. Her womanhood pulsing, scared, but excited to be so close to him. Sophie moved nearer to him and could feel his groin hardening, guessing he craved as much as she did. He released her hands placing them on her cheeks and soon glided his fingers through her long hair, moving it away from her face. His lush brown eyes gazed at her. She could feel the passion, tension racing through their bodies. Her body rattled in nerves, but the fact their hearts were beating close together and generating outstanding heat was enough to make her heart spin.

His hand pressed against her naked arm, lightening voltages exploded throughout her. She hitched her breath, longing to have him touch her all over. His eyes shut tight. Sophie closed her eyes as they kissed with urge. .

Her heart raced. Her body pleaded to allow him to take her, but her stomach riddled with knots, she needed them to collide and enjoy one another.

He moved closer to her. His face got nearer. Her body responded, vibrating to his presence like a clear delicate harp string. Sophie closed her eyes, wanting him, needing him, waiting anxiously for his arrival. She could feel his breath on her face. Their lips touched. The kiss whisper-soft, sending tingles to places she’d forgotten had ever existed. She kissed him back, wanting to touch every inch of his remarkable body, but scared in case he backed off and had changed his mind about them.

She wanted to press her body harder against his, to feel his urgency. She felt wanton…and it felt good. Sophie opened her eyes to make sure she wasn’t dreaming, that it really was Calvin kissing her. It certainly was. How her heart fluttered to such a whirlwind.

He kissed her, so gentle, full of passion. This was a promise she felt determine to endure.

Calvin pulled away to smile at her then moved back close. She closed her eyes once again, craving the feel of his lips pressed so delightfully against hers. His lips pressed tenderly. Only the kiss deepened turning more passionate. His lips became firmer and more urgent he wound one hand around her waist, pulling her closer to him, securing their lock.

Sophie was in heaven. She shivered at his touch, needing him more than ever, everything he had said and done had sent her heart missing beats, never had she ever met anyone who cared the way he had. He was her heart and soul. She was about to show him how much she loved him. Her anticipation heightened her arousal. Calvin deepened the kiss, sweeping his tongue across her lips. She opened her mouth in acceptance, her own tongue seeking his when they both started dancing with each other.

Wow, she was lost in his chaste, loving their connection and power. His hand forcefully in her lower spine pushing her nearer to him. She was forced to tilt her head to the side, wanting the engage, kissing one another with great passion and hunger.

His hand moved up her spine creeping up to her head pressing his hand firmly on the back of her head. Sophie mimicked his every move. Their faces squashed together, the kiss so intense it sent her body rocketing into another world. Sophie oozed enjoyably into his trap.

Their tongues mattered together, twisting and circling around one another. Sophie could feel his hands arriving to his bottom, firmly taking hold. Sophie wanted more, much more.

Calvin lifted her up onto his hips turning her around edging her bottom over the kitchen work-top. Their tongues remained tangled, rolling around in hunger, stealing her breath. How she loved the way their chest pressed securely together.

Her heart raced in her chest as he leaned into her. His groin pressed between her thighs. The energy that tore through them was explosive, her nerve endings becoming rockets. Their lips fixed, their tongues delving around, enjoying one another.

His fingers drifted down to the bottom of his T-shirt she wore. She could feel him lifting it up. Sophie pulled away glaring into his eyes. He stared at her. Sophie licked her lips, knowing he would have to see her naked someday if they were to make a future for themselves. She sat up and took a firm hold of his shirt on her and without further messing about and thinking nasty thoughts, of how his reaction would be. Full of confidence she lifted the top up and over her head. Sophie revealed her unattractive feeding bra and bulging breasts. Sophie watched his gaze, hitching her breath knowing either he ran or stayed. He glanced down to her chest. She stopped breathing waiting for his reaction. Slowly, he lifted his head their eyes engaged. He glazed over with hunger. She blushed in crimson. Sophie breathed a sigh of relief.

She observed when Calvin reached for the bottom of his own T-shirt and lifted it up and over his head, giving her time to drink his body, his perfection, his masculinity his fine abs hairy around his nipples. She gulped loving her sight.

Calvin moved back between her thighs leaning into her. Their mouth locked together. Hunger and passion took over kissing one another in rhythm. He wandered around her face, kissing her every inch then moved to her ear where he pulled on the lobe. Her eyes shut tightly, loving his touch, drowning in him, oozing into his rapture.

He moved further down to her neck kissing and licking every single part of her naked skin. She dropped her head back, giving him all access to her collarbone loving his connection. He skimmed his fingertips over her waist setting her nerves alive, teasing her, sending thrills of lush around her body.

Calvin arrived to the nape of her neck kissing and licked not missing a single spot. Soon he arrived to the top of her breasts. She froze feeling tense when he turned to her lips, kissing her softly.

“I love you so much,” he whispered.

Sophie opened her eyes to stare deeply into his. She could see the dying passion. She swallowed hard with every inch of her body tender longing for him to explore every single spot.

Tears filled her eyes with the emotion of the remarkable journey they were about to encounter. He used his thumb to remove the tear which had escaped her eye. He lovingly kissed her delicately on the cheek. How her entire body quivered.

“You’re my world,” he murmured and kissed her on the mouth.

He moved down her body. She closed her eyes tight as he arrived to her tummy. That was the part she dreaded, there was no-way in this world he was going to find her stomach attractive, if anything it would be enough to repulse him. Anxious, she longed to grip onto anything, just to release the tension.

Calvin stopped what he was doing…

She waited a few seconds…

Sophie opened her eyes sympathetically staring into his. He lowered his upper body pressing his delicate lips once again on her tummy kissing around her tummy area. She tried to relax. She shuffled her bottom back attempting to make herself more comfortable with her being like a statue in fear. He took a firm hold of the waistband on his shorts. She quickly placed her hand on his stopping him from pulling them down further, not wishing him to see her belly. Sophie watched him when he raised his head to look at her.

“It’s horrible,” she told him.

“Allow me to be the judge of that,” he spoke faintly, winking at her. His gaze lit her on fire.

“Please…” She stopped him again.

“Sophie…I don’t care I love all of you,” he said and smiled at her.

If only she believed him.

He pulled on the trunks, only again she fought with him trying to stop him to pull them down. Calvin glanced up at her, widening his eyes, while lifting his brows, giving her the eye.

“It’s not nice,” she told him again, trying to make him aware it was nasty.

“Sophie…I love you,” he repeated.

He reached up to her lips to kiss her tenderly. “I love you, stop fretting and relax.”

She smiled at him, wondering how the heck she had been lucky enough to find him. Had fate brought them together? Was it their innocence of love that routed them down the same path, what she did know was she had the most sincere man in the world with her.

He moved back down her figure taking hold of the waistband. She let go. He took hold of the waistband and glided his hands underneath her bottom where she lifted. He slowly removed the garment to the tops of her thighs. He glanced down. Bile filled her throat at the sight of the area.

She watched Calvin pout his lips and with the greatest of compassion started kissing her entire tummy area. He never missed one single stretch mark, being blessed by his lips. Then he moved further down her stomach reaching her dreaded nasty scar, he kissed softly and passionately the entire length of the wound.

Tears welled in her eyes with relief, pleased he didn’t run or say nasty things.

He came back up her body and kissed her beautifully on the lips his thumb removed her tears.

“Sophie, I love you and every little inch of you I adore. You’re my world!”

Delighted and know knew she’d made the right decision on Calvin Edwards.

Chapter Sixteen

Calvin could not believe what happened between them last night. Certain he would wake up and discover it had all been a dream. He opened his eyes, very hot, in fact cooking, only he saw who he was waking up to…Sophie laying in his bed, snuggled into his chest looking and feeling amazing. He could feel her breathing on his naked chest. He smiled for the first time in a long time being on-top of the world, longing to go to the highest building in the city and scream from it and tell the world how happy he was.

His manhood stiff, nothing sexual but needed the loo. He glanced further around the room seeing the pram and could hear Kacey cooing and gargling. His body overheated, but there was no way he was about to move. He wanted to enjoy, saviour every moment with her, only one problem he had work to attend.

He could not believe how they made the most sincere love last night, yes Sophie had been insecure about her body, but she looked incredible even her scar left from when having her daughter was beautiful, her stretch marks and lose skin only made her look more precious to him. Calvin knew how insecure she’d been and he could understand with him being the first person to see her naked. It took guts and he had to show her how much she meant to his heart. Sophie developed trust, and that made his heart sing out a wonderful tune.

Calvin knew he had been right to never give up on their relationship and he hadn’t. She was his everything. His world, his life, passion and security, he would do everything to keep Sophie and Kacey protected; only there was another life to consider, Sabastian.

There was plenty for Calvin to be sorting out, most of it with urgent effect. Sophie was blissfully, snoring on him. He had no idea even if she’d seen to Kacey through the night. He could now hear her sucking on her thumb, betting she was getting ready for her feed. With the greatest of care he tried to move Sophie off him. She turned over to snuggle into the pillows, murmuring. He watched her for a few spilt second before climbing out the bed and walked to the opposite side of the bed to the bathroom. He stopped to see Kacey, kicking and moving her arms. He smiled at her.

He walked into the bathroom putting his phone on to check the time. He really had no idea what he should do first, but showing up at work was a must, however leaving Sophie and Kacey alone he didn’t wish to do. He sighed, hearing his phone loading, chiming away indicating text messages after message. Calvin sat on the toilet seat running his fingers through his tousled hair, not wishing to remove Sophie from him. His mind drifted back to last night and how she made the move on him, he felt, enchanted they just went with the flow naturally.

Calvin looked at the time seeing it seven-thirty, he had clearly slept through his first alarm now he had to race around like a headless chicken to get ready. Far from being in the mood, but he had to do what he had to do without hesitation.

Showered, fresh breath and wrapped a towel around his waist he headed out to his closet to choose a suit, choosing a black one with white shirt and dark purple tie. He walked back into the bedroom to find Sophie smiling at him, he grinned at such a beautiful sight.

“Hey, beautiful, how are you feeling?” he asked moving to the bed and sat down close to her stroking her hair away from her face.

“Good,” she spoke in a soft voice, leaning up on her elbow. He gazed at her seeing her wearing his T-shirt. “I’m guessing you have to go,” she remarked, frowning and added a sigh.

“I do, but I’m going to make a very important call, so I will need much luck,” he informed her, reaching for her face and gently cupped the left side of her face stroking it.

“Oh, okay…what can I do?” she asked.

“I will try and leave early and head out and get you some clothes. I have a washing machine, feel free to use it to wash the clothes you came in, and then later we will go shopping and get a stock up on Kacey’s and your essentials, no offence, but I don’t have women’s products about,” he told her.

She scoffed. “Okay, would rather you stayed here and made love to me all day,” she told him making it harder for him to leave.

“Trust me, I wish I could, but I have an important meeting, and a phone call to make. Are you sore from last night?” he asked being intrigued.

“Yes, a little, felt weird doing it,” she told him.

He stood to start getting dressed.

“Tell me about it, been a while for me.”

“Oh come on, I bet the women are queuing up around the block.”

“Yeah. I’m fighting them down.” He chuckled.

Soon dressed he arrived to his cufflinks. “I will get some food in too,” he told her and disappeared back into his closet. Minutes later he re-appeared his tie around his neck and started crafting the tie.  He sat on the bed to put his tie shoes.

“I could go shopping,” she mentioned noticing her watching him intently, annoyed he was leaving her.

“Really? But you don’t know where to go,” he added.

“I’m sure I can find a supermarket and get some food in,” she told him.

“Okay,” he agreed. He stood and walked to his bedside cabinet finding his wallet. He pulled out his bank card, “Here take this and this,” he insisted to write the pin number out for her. “And if you see any clothes or anything for yourself or Kacey, don’t hesitate,” he suggested, handing her the card and paper to her. She looked far too beautiful to be leaving, but he had no choice.

He moved to her side of the bed, remaining to hear Kacey cooing. He sat on the bed beside her all suited and booted. He leaned across to kiss her on the mouth. “I love you.”

“I love you too,” she replied, making his heart sing.

Calvin stood and walked to the bedroom door. He inhaled a deep breath hesitating for a few seconds to leave her, but he had no choice. He blew her a kiss, she blew one back. He quickly left the apartment fast before he changed his mind and called in sick. He already was in the bad books without adding fuel to the fire with his father.

He annoyingly took the trip to the main door of his home after he’d already decided to call for a cab, he couldn’t be bothered to drive. He saw the taxi parked up by the curb waiting for him. He climbed in the car and driven to his destination.

He sat in the rear seat thinking about nothing but of Sophie and the way they collided last night making the most sensual love ever. They sung all the same tunes, making everything so real. He hitched his breath adding a sigh, resenting the fact he had to leave them at home while he worked. He could still taste her lips, smell her fruity hair and the heat that came off their bodies during the night.

Calvin remained vigilant expecting her to stop the love making at some point, but she didn’t, there was no-way he couldn’t make love to her in the kitchen and therefore he pushed Kacey into the bedroom while holding onto her. They both climbed on the bed where he took her slowly. How he loved every curve on her body wanting it extra special for her. He could hear the sound of her gasps and groans when he penetrated inside her, the feel of her underneath him overwhelmed and consumed him making him light headed. The force, the power, and the energy that tore through him made his heart complete and tomorrow night would always be remembered until his dying day.

He arrived in the office seeing a majority of the staff all hard at work.

“Good morning, Mr. Edwards,” he heard many people say at once. He smiled at each one, acting pleased to be there when really…his apartment and being alongside Sophie would be the better choice.

In his office, he walked to his leather swirl chair he flopped his body back into it when his personal secretary, knocked and came in the office. He knew it was her knocking, so gently and soon entered.

“Morning, Mr. Edwards, I have put together all the information for the meeting this morning at eleven am and had confirmation that Mr. Spencer will be attending. All the formalities have been noted and you are good to go,” she informed, standing before him wearing a skirt suit, tall, thin, long hair and gripped back into a ponytail wearing her dark framed glasses. “Did you have a nice weekend?”

“I did thank you. Could you get my father on the line I need to urgently speak with him,” he ordered not needing to waste another second.

“Of course, Mr. Edwards, can I say why you’re calling him?” He lifted his brows. “I will get him on the line,” she replied. She strutted out his office without a second glance.

He loaded his computer making a start through his e-mails he’d received over the weekend. His office phone sounded. He picked it up. “I have Mr. Edwards on the line for you, Mr. Edwards,” she told him.

“Good put him immediately though.”

“Hello, son, how are you? And how was your trip? Are you ready for the meeting?” his father asked, sounding typically busy then every Monday mornings were always the same.

“Good trip and yes ready for the meeting, but I have something I need to tell you urgently,” Calvin added sitting back in his leather swirl chair. Only he suddenly came over nervous. He stood to make his way to the large Georgian window overlooking the crazy London streets.

“Okay, do I need to sit down for this?” His father chuckled, unsure if he would still be laughing after he told him.

“I have Sophie and Kacey here.”

“Yes, I know. I guess she found you okay?” his dad added.

“How did you know she was here?” he asked puzzled. “Forget that…” He washed away being sure he’d find out via Sophie or her father, either way he didn’t really care.

“I’m pleased she got to you okay.”

Calvin didn’t need the chit-chat crap. “Yes, she found me and yes they are both safe and in my apartment, but…” He could hear his father scuffling. “Dad, Dad,” he repeated concerned.

“Sorry, son, I will have to call you back, problem with a worker, collapsed or something,” he urgently spoke worried and rang off on him.

Calvin sighed. He stood staring at the phone, pissed off to be cut so damn short.

He screwed up his face. He decided to grab his mobile phone and call Sophie, just needing to hear her sweet voice, only it kept ringing and ringing. He sighed lowering his shoulders, slightly annoyed but guessed she could be feeding her daughter and didn’t have her phone on reaching distance and for that he would forgive her.

Shattered and delighted she had managed to get a few treats from the supermarket, including a few new outfits for Kacey, bits for herself some food, feeling determined to cook Calvin something nice for when he came home. She wasn’t brilliant at cooking, but she could do the basics that was all she needed right now.

Kacey was ready for her feed screaming the place down, but secretly she enjoyed her daughter crying out, meaning she had a healthy pair of lungs especially after what she had been through months previous. She set about feeding her. Soon Kacey was settled, she started preparing tea. The only problem was she had no clue what time Calvin was due back.

She got her phone out shocked she hadn’t heard from him when she saw four missed calls.

“Oh great, he will think I’m ignoring him.” She instantly set about calling him back when it went to answer phone. Sophie tilted her head to the side wondering if he was in the important meeting he told her about.

There was one confession she had, she was hot and eager to get her man back into bed and make love over and over again. She glided her hand across her breasts craving for him to touch her intimately the way he had last night. She tightened her inner core muscles to the thought needing to cool herself down before she exploded.

She tried his phone again, but still switched off. She set about doing a few jobs around the apartment putting the washing in the washer that Kacey had created.

Sophie tried again to call him, only that time it rang, a smile filled her face hoping he would pick up.

“Hello, beautiful,” came his charming voice.

“Hello, gorgeous, how are you? And when are you coming home? I have a surprise for you,” she sniggered like a little girl.

“Oh, do you know…well, I’m afraid I’m running late, I have a few more errands to run and still need to hear from my father, he’s been in a meeting taking up most of the day.”

“Oh okay,” she lowered her tone, disappointed.

“I hope you’re not sulking,” he added.

“No.”

“Yes, you are.” He chuckled.

“I am not, just wanted to try and get tea ready for when you walked in,” she told him ruining one surprise.

“Oh, I will call you when I’m on my way, promise,” his tone little off.

“Calvin, is everything all right?” she needed to ask.

“Everything is fine. You relax and take it easy,” he told her. “I have to go…” with that he was gone.

She slumped into the nearest chair wondering if Calvin might be changing his mind about her, was he put off by her body, or her sudden arrival. Bile filled her throat, hoping he hadn’t and if he had she would never trust a man again, ever.

Sophie fed Kacey again seeing the time ticking on. Her stomach growled needing to get something to eat before she passed out. She brought a packet of biscuits earlier and broke into them and nibbled, when her phone sounded. Quickly she picked it up seeing her mum calling. She swiped her finger across the screen trying to much faster to empty her mouth of the biscuit.
