“Okay, but it is still dangerous,” says Alex.

“Yes and I do see their point. Look we are all adults.
We will find the one and we will not want to wait until the wedding. I know
that I will not wait,” says Christian, looking at them with a big wicked smile
flashing his dimples.

“Okay, I see your point,” says Tony, nodding in
agreement.

“Well, I can tell you that the three couples right now
have not waited. Not that they told me, but you can just tell,” says Christian,
looking at them.

“Yeah, hermano, I think that you’re right. I
understand. I will honor the pact. I also want to make sure that the Chico is serious
and is for real the one,” replies Alex, looking at his primas and his hermana. “I
don’t want any chico playing with our
tesoros
.”

“Si, I’m with you Alex,” says Tony looking at the
primas and hermanas.

“Okay, I think that this is a real thought out pact. I
know it is needed. We’re young, healthy and in love,” says Christian. “I know I
need it.”

“Yeah, I can see that you’re thinking about your chica,”
says Alex, grinning, shaking his head.

“Yes, I had mocha with her today. Manana, I have a
date. She’s my novia,” says Christian, smiling with alegria.  “Yeah, she’s my
novia in the traditional way.”

“You’re joking!” exclaims Tony, amused with his wild
primo news.

“No, I am not joking. She’s officially my novia. She’s
not just a date. She’s my novia and I will marry her in a little bit. I have to
give it a little time to flourish,” says Christian, grinning. He takes a drink,
observing his hermano and primo’s surprise.

Yes, I see that they’re surprised. I’m serious
, contemplates Christian, nodding.

“I have decided to not re-enlist. I will start working
at the familia company. Jose Enrique asked me to think about it. I have decided
that I will marry and start working,” says Christian, amused. He’s enjoying the
shock that he’s causing.

“She must be real special if you feel so strongly,”
says Alex, observing his hermano. “Just think that you were pissed at Gabriel,
about how quick they’re marrying. Now you’re going to do the same. When you
know, you know, yeah.”

“Yes, I do understand now. I didn’t understand then. I’m
telling you that you really just know when it is the one. Las primas and
hermana are right,” replies Christian, seriously. “I need you to promise not to
tell my novia that I’m a Navy SEAL. I haven’t told her.  She thinks that I work
at the familia company.”

“Why does she think that you work there?” asks Tony,
curiously.

“When I met her today, I was doing an errand that Jose
Enrique asked me to do for him. I had a report for him. We ran into each other
in the hallway and all of my papers flew out of my manos,” says Christian,
taking another drink. “She thinks that I work there. I don’t know what she
thinks I work at.”

“Why didn’t you clear that up?” asks Alex, looking at
his hermano.
I wonder what he’s up to
.

“We didn’t talk about it. I really didn’t want her to
know that I’m a Navy SEAL. You never know how chicas react to that. Look at
Erica,” says Christian, looking at his hermana with her novio.

“Okay, but you need to tell her soon and especially if
you’re going to marry her,” says Tony, shaking his head taking a drink of his
Corona.

“I will tell her soon. When I know that she’ll not
freak out, okay?” says Christian, looking at them to see if they agree to cover
for him.

“Okay hermano,” says Alex, nodding in agreement.

“Si primo, I will. What do I tell her if she asks
where you work at?” asks Tony, checking out the room for some chicas.

“Primo, simply let her know that I work at the job
sites as the construction site manager. That’s the job that Jose Enrique wants
me to do. He says that we have been losing materials and not getting the
quality material that we have paid for. I haven’t told him that I will work. I
decided that after spending time with my novia. You do understand?” asks
Christian, looking at Tony and Alex.

“I can see that will be a great job for you hermano. You
will be in the office but, at the same time you will be out on the field. Yeah
I think that will be good for you,” says Alex, looking at his hermano.

Wow, my hermano changed in a matter of hours. I can
see that this chica has really touched him. All he ever wanted to do is have
fun. That’s one of the reasons that he went into the Navy. He wanted excitement
, ponders Alex.

“Si primo, that’s a perfect job for you and we really
do need you to handle the construction sites. The managers that we have had are
not responsible and honest,” says Tony, taking a drink of his Corona.

“Si, I think it’s time for me to settle down. I have
found the chica that has filled all my needs,” replies Christian with felicidad,
looking into space thinking of Monique.

Ricky and Jacki returned from dancing to talk to the
primos. Ricky went to stand with his primos.

“What’s up primos?” asks Ricky, turning to the bar to
get a Corona.

“Christian is in love,” says Tony, with a smirk
leaning to the side before Christian fist connected.

“Yeah he is,” says Alex, smiling at Ricky.

“Primo, I highly recommend this love business, it is
very rewarding,” says Ricky, winking at his primo.

“Yes, primo, I’m beginning to reap the rewards,”
replies Christian, grinning wickedly, looking at his primo.

“Well, Jacki, we want
to tell ……….” says Paty, smiling at Jacki. Paty explains the pact to Jacki.

“Thanks for thinking about us. I will tell Ricky,”
says Jacki, nodding.

Ricky notices Jacki look at him and knows that she’s
ready to leave. “Okay primos, I’ll talk to you later,” says Ricky, striding to
his
reina
.
Los primos watch him leave.

“It’s so amazing how Ricky is all into Jacki,” says
Tony, looking at the happy couple walk away, taking a drink of his Corona.

“Tony, I’m telling you that when you meet the one, your
alma gemela, you know. It feels great. You don’t think of anything or anybody,”
says Christian, smiling at his primo.

“I hope that I don’t meet the one anytime soon,”
replies Tony, looking at all the chicas in the club.

“Come on Alex, there’s a couple of cute chicas down
the bar,” says Tony, walking down the bar.

Alex looks at the chicas and agrees with Tony. He
walks away leaving Christian to drink his Corona by himself.

Chapter Six

I need to look real
sexy and bella for Christian. He’s such a hunk. I don’t want him to get bored
with me so soon. I need to keep him interested. What should I wear to the
movies,
ponders Monique with
felicidad.

Monique stands at her closet looking at all of her
dresses.
I want to wear a dress. I can tell that he likes the dress I wore
ayer
for our mocha. Maybe I should ask my
hermanas if they have something muy cute, cute to wear.
She starts to turn
around when she spots her new outfit she had bought the other day.
Oh yeah,
I almost forgot I bought this. I’ll wear it today
.

Monique puts on a beautiful soft pink peasant top that
sits off the shoulders with a soft elastic smocked midriff. She also has the
matching peasant skirt that is very soft and feminine.
Yes, it’s perfect. I’m
so glad that I bought this the other day,
thinks Monique.

I’ll put on my sexy white high heel sandals and some
silver jewelry. Si, I can’t forget my perfume. I will put on my favorite soft
floral scent. I’m glad that Christian likes it. I can tell from his expression
when he smells it on me.

She’s finishes putting on her perfume when her hermana
walks into her room all excited. “Hermana you have a date with a Chico? Mama
told me that you think he is guapo and muy nice,” says her hermana, Gabriella, smiling.

“Si hermana, he’s my novio and he’s such a hunk,”
replies Monique, grinning.

“Wow, that’s great. Where did you meet him?” asks
Gabriella, dreamily.

“I met him at the company that I’m going to start
working at on Monday. He also works there. I’m so excited, hermana. He has
everything that I ever wanted. Well he’s not rich, but he’s nice and a hard
worker,” says Monique, grinning.

“Si, mama always says that we need to pick a nice Chico
to be happy,” says Gabriella, smiling at her hermano.

“Hermana, what’s even better is that he makes my
corazon stop and beat faster. I also love his besos,” says Monique, blushing,
grinning.

“Wow, so you really do like him? Can I answer the door
when he picks you up?” asks Gabriella, looking eagerly at her hermana.
It
sounds like what I felt for Javier in high school,
reflects Gabriella
. I
better not think about him. I' still get pissed off at him and it hurts.

“Okay Hermana,” says Monique, nodding. “But I’ll be
out quickly because I want to see him.”

“Okay. Does Eva know about your novio?” asks Gabriella,
looking out the window as a carro approaches. “Wow hermana is that him?”

Monique approaches the window and looks through the
crack of the blind. She sees Christian exiting his carro dressed in jeans and a
nice shirt with his bad boy black biker boots.
I bet he owns a cycle
,
ponders Monique, sighing at the sight of him.

She looks at her hermana grinning. “Si hermana, that’s
my novio, isn’t he a hunk?” asks Monique, closing her eyes dreamily. “You
should see his green eyes and he has these beautiful dimples when he smiles. I
think I’m in love.”

“I can see that you are. Si, he’s a hunk hermana. You’re
so lucky that you found him,” replies Gabriella, observing Christian.
Hmm,
he has a little of Javier in him. I wonder if he’s related to Javier. How
depressing, seeing him brings back all of naughty moments with Javier. I still
want him even if he hurt and pissed me off,
contemplates Gabriella.

“I bet that Eva doesn’t know about your novio. She
would be here gawking. Wait until he comes in and she sees him. Wow,” says
Gabriella, grinning, nodding. “She will faint,” Gabriella races out of the
bedroom when she hears the doorbell, calling out. “I will get it! Monique,
please let me. Just give me a few minutes to take a good look at him.”

Gabriella runs out, running to the door, calling out
that she’s getting the door. She stops and takes a deep breath. Smiling, she
opens the door.

Wow, he’s really a hunk like Monique says. Those green
eyes are incredible. They do look like Javier’s. Wow, he’s smiling and I love those
dimples. Yeah, I’m in love too
,
thinks Gabriella, smiling at him.
I better ask him to come in.
“Hola
you’re Christian?” asks Gabriella, looking at him.

“Si, I am and you are?” asks Christian, extending his
hand out to greet his future
cunada
.

She has to be one of my baby’s hermana. She looks a
little like my baby. They have the same big eyes, but hers are light soft brown.
I really love my baby, she’s perfect for me.

“Yes, I’m Gabriella, Monique’s hermana. Please come in.
Monique will be out in a few,” says Gabriella, smiling, leading him into the
living room. “Have a seat, I will call her.”

Monique’s Mama Ana walks into the living room at that
time and smiles at Christian. She walks over to him as he stands to greet her. “Hola
I’m Monique’s Mama Ana,” says Mama Ana, extending her hand to greet him “How
are you?”

“Hola Señora, I’m Christian Arturo De La Cruz. I’m
doing great,” replies Christian, smiling, flashing his dimples.

I see that my baby looks like her mama. She gets her
beautiful big eyes from her mama. That’s good. She looks like a nice Señora
, thinks Christian.

What a guapo Chico mi hija met. He looks like he’s
well-mannered and from a good familia. I’m immensely
feliz
, thinks Mama Ana.

“Have a seat Christian, I know that my hija is almost
ready,” says Mama Ana, taking a seat.

“I’m right here, mama,” says Monique as she walks into
the living room with Gabriella.

She looks at Christian and grins. She walks over to
him and goes up on her toes to give him a beso, placing her hands on his broad
shoulders to balance.

Oh Dios mio, my baby is kissing me in front of her
mama. I have to return her beso, she’s toda mia,
thinks Christian. He wraps his arms around Monique. He
pulls back and risks a quick look at her mama.
Damn, I’m lucky. What a
relief that she didn’t get mad. Wow that was close
, thinks Christian.
