They didn’t realize that they’re still holding hands. Javier
is unconsciously running his thumb inside her palm.

“Do you want to go back in the yard and talk?
Christian and Monique looked real busy,” asks Javier, gazing at her pleased smile.

“Si, that would be nice,” replies Gabriella, nodding.

“Let’s go out through the garage so we won’t disturb
them,” says Javier, pulling her down the hall through the garage and into the
backyard.

Ahh, I see my primo and Gabriella. They’re talking out
here
.
They probably saw us and
decided to give us some time alone,
thinks Christian,
walking
towards them.
Good thing that he came by and decided to talk to Gabriella because
I really wanted some.

“Hola, primo, I see that you met Gabriella,” says
Christian, smiling. He looks at them.

“Si, primo, you were a little busy, so we decided to
come out here and talk,” replies Javier, smiling looking at Gabriella. “Gabriella
says that you were watching some movies.”

“Si primo, do you want to stay and watch them with us.
Mis padres are with los tios dancing and will be back late.  Bella is not here,
Alex is at work, and Erica is with Gabriel. We’ll be alone tonight,” says
Christian, smiling.

“Si primo, I’ll be here in case you decide to be alone
with your esposa. I can see the movie with Gabriella. I had no plans tonight,”
says Javier, smiling. He pleased with the opportunity of being with his
Chiquita again.

“Okay that sounds great. We got some pizzas and
popcorn. We were going to start watching the movie. I will put the pizza in the
oven. It will be nice and warm for dinner,” says Christian, smiling.

“Yeah, we will be there in a few, we were just
talking,” says Javier, smiling at Christian.

“Okay,” replies Christian, striding back to be with
his esposa. He’s not thinking about anything else.

Chapter Twenty-Seven

Christian looks at Monique sleeping in his arms, smiling
at how incredible she is.
My Cielo, is truly my vida, my alma gemela. I know
that I will not be able to live without her. I give gracias dios mio. I’m
extremely blissed that our padres worked with us. I’m   especially ecstatic for
our bebe
, contemplates Christian, gazing at her.

Christian hears his cell and looks at the urgent text
message from Tony.
It must be real important if he wants me over this early
in the morning.
He looks at Monique waking up to see who is texting so
early. She waits for him to tell her.

“My Cielo, it’s my primo, Tony. He needs to see me
right now. Are you ok if I go and see what he needs? It appears to be urgent.
It’s early in the morning. You know how he was acting on Friday.”

“Baby, its ok if you go. You need to see what he needs.
It could be important. Who knows what Cynthia has done,” says Monique,
grinning, knowing her amiga. “I’ll sleep a little longer. I’m still sleepy.”  She
gives him a beso and settles back into her pillow.

Christian takes a quick shower. He strides to his
primo’s casa to see what’s happening.

Jose Enrique and Christian show up at Tony’s casa at
the same time. Tony shows them into his room.

“I need your help. I don’t know what to do,” says Tony,
looking at his primos. He walks around in his room, thinking of options.

“Que pasa?” asks Christian. He’s worried about Tony. He
observes Tony.
Si, he’s stressed and extremely furious
, thinks
Christian.

“Tell us what’s happened to get you all stressed out,”
asks Jose Enrique, wondering what’s happening so early in the morning.

Tony turns to look at his primos and knows that he can
talk about his feelings and concerns. “Primos, you know how I feel about
Cynthia?” says Tony, watching them nod their heads in agreement. They wait for
him to continue.

Christian looks at him.
What the hell is Tony
thinking?
thinks Christian, shaking his head.

Jose Enrique couldn’t believe what Tony just divulged.
He shakes his head with disbelief. “Is there a reason that you’re sharing
something so private and sacred?” he asks with amazement.

“Primos, really do you think I would be sharing this
important event if it was not important?” says Tony, looking out of his window
into the yard, recalling Lopez reaction.

“Primo, you’re an idiota! How did you expect him to
react,” asks Christian. He’s amazed and looks at Tony, shaking his head.

“Primo, Christian is correct,” says Jose Enrique,
looking at Tony. “What exactly did Lopez say?”

“He yelled that he didn’t want a De La Cruz marrying
his hija. He didn’t seem to care that she’s mia,” says Tony, with frustration. “I
want her, she’s my mujer!”

Tony clenches jaw, flexing his jaw muscles. “I want
you to help me get her away from her padre. We’re adults.”

“Si primo, but he’s her padre. I don’t think that it
is wise to get him on your bad side. Not if you want to marry Cynthia,” says
Christian, looking at his primo with concern.

“Primo, there has to be a reason why Señor Lopez
reacted like that. There has to be a reason that Señor Lopez feels that way,”
says Jose Enrique, looking out the window.

“Primos, he had his gun out and was ready to shoot me,”
says Tony, looking at his primo’s expressions of amazement and amusement.

“Wow, primo,” says Christian, shaking his head.
Damn,
Monique’s padre reacted real cool
, thinks Christian, laughing.

“Primo, that was dangerous,” says Jose Enrique, with
concern. “Let’s think about it. Don’t do anything drastic. We need to think
about what will be the best tactic for you to take. We don’t want you to act
like a loco.”

“Primos, but I need Cynthia,” replies Tony, with
frustration. “What if he sends her away?”

“Primo, we will get her out of his casa. You will
marry her one way or another,” says Christian, nodding.
I know how
frustrated Tony will be until he has Cynthia by his side
, thinks Christian.

“Primo, you need to calm down. I will attempt to
arrange a meeting with Señor Lopez, manana. We need to give him time to cool
down,” says Jose Enrique, looking at Tony with concern. “I know the issue is
most likely the Cartel. We don’t know if he’s actually involved with them. We
don’t know if he did recommend us to the Cartel.”

“Yeah, we need to find that out and proceed with
caution,” says Christian. “
Calmate
, primo.”

“It’s easy for you two to say that, since you have
your mujer next to you. I finally decide to embrace my mujer and this has to
happen. I just fucked up. I Love Cynthia,” growls Tony, with frustration and
anger.

“Si, primo, we know that. I’m sorry this is happening
to you. We will help in all that we can,” says Jose Enrique, walking over to
Tony. He stands next to him. He sees his eyes full of fear, anger, and
frustration.

“Yeah, primo, we will help you get Cynthia away from
her padre. I know that he will accept your relationship,” says Christian,
walking to his primos. “We are here for you.”

Christian and Jose Enrique give him a hug in support. They
then sock him in the arm, grinning. “You’re so lucky you’re still alive, guey,”
says Christian, shaking his head.

“Yeah, I cannot believe what you did. What were you
thinking? Oh yeah, right, you were thinking with the wrong head,” laughs Jose
Enrique, moving away from Tony’s punch.

“We thought that they were returning until this
evening. I wonder what made them change their minds. Cynthia was positive that
they told her they were not returning until this evening,” says Tony, shaking
his head. “I just needed to talk. You know that I can’t talk to mis padres about
this,” he turns to look at Christian. “Christian, did you know that Monique is
Cynthia’s best amiga? Do you think that Monique can visit Cynthia to find out
what’s going on with her padre?”

“Primo, that’s a great idea. I will get Monique to
visit her and to give her any messages that you want to give her,” says
Christian, smiling. “Damn, yeah, that will work!”

“Si, primo, you should write Cynthia a letter. Monique
can then take it to her,” says Jose Enrique, grinning.

Tony smiles, going to his desk to quickly write a letter.
“Please have Monique give her the letter. Thank you both for giving your
support.”

“That’s why we’re here, primo,” replies Christian, smiling.
“Everything will be okay. I need to get back to my Cielo.” He turns and walks
away.

“Please let me know if Monique learns anything,” requests
Tony, anxiously looking at Christian and Jose Enrique. He walks down the hall
with them.

“Later, primo,” says Jose Enrique, following Christian.

Chapter Twenty-Eight

Christian quickly returns to his casa and walks directly to
his room to see Monique. Monique smiles at him. She’s dressing after taking a
shower.

“My Cielo,” says Christian, taking her into his arms. He kisses
her with all of his passion and amor pulling off the towel. “I want you,” he
picks her up and takes her to their bed.

“Baby, I love you,” says Monique, pulling off his
shirt, running her hands over his chest going down to his pants looking at his
beautiful green eyes. “You need to love me.”

Christian pushes off his pants and boots going to his
bella esposa, kissing her and taking her quickly. He loves to feel her hot
tight heart clutch him.

“My Cielo,” growls Christian into her ear, trying not
to make any noise. He kisses her to muffle her moans when they reach their
release as one alma.

Christian wraps her in his arms. He strokes her back
thinking of Tony and Cynthia. “My Cielo, Cynthia is your best amiga?” asks
Christian.

“Si, Baby, por que?” asks Monique, looking up to gaze
into Christian eyes, waiting for his response.

“My Cielo, Tony has a problema and he wants to know if
you can help him. He wants you to visit Cynthia and give her a letter,” says
Christian, looking at Monique.

“What happen? Why can’t he call or visit her?” asks
Monique, with confusion.

“My Cielo, Tony and Cynthia…….” says Christian,
looking at Monique.

“Are you serious? That is surreal. I never thought
that Mr. Lopez would do something like that. Si Baby, I will go and visit
Cynthia in a few hours. I don’t want him to suspect anything if I show up now,”
says Monique, shaking her head in amazement.

“My Cielo, Tony wrote Cynthia a letter. He wants you
to deliver it to her,” says Christian, looking at his esposa with all of his
amor.

“Of course I will, Baby. Cynthia visited me last week
when they were having issues. She didn’t know that we were married. She was
crying because Tony was pushing her away. She knew that he wanted her. Cynthia
was confused and upset,” says Monique. “I’m feliz for my amiga. It’s great that
Tony finally acknowledged that he loves her.”

“Si, he had some issues. He needed to resolve these
issues before he could claim her. I know that he never doubted that she was his.
He needed time,” says Christian.

I can’t tell my Cielo about the Cartel. It’s a great
possibility that Lopez is the cause of my familia’s heartaches. This was preventing
Tony to love his mujer,
thinks
Christian
.

“Baby, I don’t understand, but I’m feliz for my amiga,”
says Monique, smiling at Christian. She pulls him down for a hot beso.

“I’ll go and visit Cynthia after breakfast,” says
Monique, smiling. “Let’s go and see what Gaby has been up to.”

They went into the kitchen to get breakfast.

“Bueno dias,” says Gabriella, going to talk to them. “Your
primo Jose Enrique called. He wants you to call him back.”

“Buenos Dias, Gaby,” says Christian, smiling. He picks
up the phone.

“Buenos Dias, have you had breakfast?” asks Monique,
going to look for some cereal.

“Si, hermana, some cereal,” says Gabriella, smiling. “I’m
going outside in the yard.”

“Okay, Gaby,” says Monique, turning to smile at Gaby,
walking to get a bowl.

Gabriella is walking outside to the yard, thinking
about Javier.
