“Hey. How are you doing?”

Giving a quick nod of my head, I said, “I’m doing great. Late for a study group though.”

“Oh, okay right. I’ll be quick.”

Staring straight ahead I waited to see what she wanted. “So you and Colt Mathews, huh?”

Smiling, I said, “Yep,” as I popped my p.

“I have to say, you’re a lucky girl. So many of my friends were dying to go out with Colt and they were so jealous when I was dating him.”

Stopping dead in my tracks, I turned to Marie.
Okay, you little bitch. I’m not playing games with you.
“Marie, not to be rude, but was there something you needed?”

Marie’s facial expression turned from one of amusement, to more of a stunned look. “Um . . . well, I just wanted to know like how serious are the two of you. I know you both grew up together and you live in the same house and all. But Colt mentioned you were his girlfriend and I was just wondering if he was saying that to push Roger back or something?”

My mouth gaped open. Taking in the sight of Marie James, I wondered what Colt ever saw in her. She was cute, don’t get me wrong. But she just had an air about her that was off. Like she was trying to be something she wasn’t. Her blonde hair was pulled up into a tight bun, and she looked like she had just stepped out of an interview with the CEO of some major company. Not what I pictured Colt would be into.

“Colt and I are dating, Marie.” Turning to head to the library again, she reached out for my arm.

“Like as in exclusively dating?”

Rolling my eyes, I faced her. “Yes. We’re exclusive.”

Narrowing her eye at me, she asked, “How exclusive?”

“Are you kidding me? What is wrong with you? Colt and I are very much together, Marie.”

“Uh-huh. Have you been . . . together?”

Shaking my head, I started walking. If I didn’t get away from this girl now, I was going to punch her in the throat. “Damn it, Lauren I’m sorry. It’s just Roger is wanting to know how serious you and Colt are. I really like Roger and I want to . . .”

I held up my hand as I stopped walking and turned to face her. “Oh. My. Glitter. Marie, don’t do his dirty work for him. You could do so much better than him. I mean . . . he is having you ask me about my relationship with Colt. Doesn’t that bother you?”

“Well, no. I mean, if I get the chance to date the quarterback of A&M, do you know how amazing that would be?”

My heart instantly hurt for this girl. Slowly shaking my head, I tried to understand how she was feeling but I couldn’t. I wasn’t with Colt because he was some star college football player. I was with him because I loved him. A light breeze blew as I pushed a curl away from my eye. “Okay, Marie. You need something to take back to Roger. Here ya go. Colt and I are very much together, the sex is amazing and every night I pray to God that I’m going to spend the rest of my life with Colt Mathews.”

Marie’s face fell. “Um . . .”

“I’m late, have a wonderful evening, Marie, and good luck with Roger.”

As I walked away I felt my body shaking. How dare he? How dare that asshole recruit someone to dig information up on me? Hopefully Marie would go back and tell Roger what I said and he would move on to someone new.

Walking into the library, I took a quick glance around. Jimmy Mack, one of my chemistry lab partners, stood up and waved his hand. Giving him a slight smile, I headed that way. Everyone started talking about their notes for test that was next week but my mind was not focused at all. Pulling out my cell phone I checked for a message from Colt.

Nothing.

My mind began to drift off to last night as I thought about our date last night.

STANDING OUTSIDE THE
movie theater, I glanced down at my watch. Colt had sent me a text and asked if I would meet him here at seven. It was now seven ten. Pulling my phone from my purse, I went to send him a text when a single red rose appeared in front of my face.

Spinning around, I smiled at the sight of Colt. “Hey,” I whispered.

“Hey, back at ya, beautiful.”

My stomach flipped and flopped as I found myself lost in those blue eyes. “So a movie huh?”

Smiling, Colt pulled me into his arms. “Not just any movie, it’s a special movie.”

Pulling back some, I gave him a questioning look. “What makes it special?”

Dropping me from his hold, Colt took my hand and began leading me into the theater. “You’ll see, sweetheart.”

As we walked up to the counter, a young guy stood there. It appeared he was waiting for us. “Colt, it’s good to see you. How have you been?”

Nodding his head, Colt looked at me and then back at the guy. “How’s it going, Mark? I’ve never been better. Lauren and I have been pretty busy with classes so I promised her a date night tonight. Is everything set?”

Wait. What in the heck is going on here? Colt knows this guy?

“I’ve got everything under control and set up,” Mark said as he looked at me and smiled bigger.

“Wait, what’s going on?” I asked as I looked between Colt and Mark.

Colt slapped Mark on the back and reached into his pocket and handed Mark a folded up envelope. Putting the envelope in his back pocket, Mark turned to another guy and motioned for him to do something.

“Theater six, Colt.” Turning to me, Mark let out a chuckle. “Enjoy the movie, Lauren.”

Colt took my hand and practically dragged me down to the last theater. “Colt, what did you give him? Money? Did you rent out the whole theater? I mean . . . if you want to make out, I’m down for a few people being in there.”

Colt tossed his head back and laughed. “No, it wasn’t money. They were box seat tickets for next football season. Let’s hope Mark earned it.”

“Box seats?”

Colt stopped walking when we got to the theater. “Yep, box seats. Are you ready?”

Pressing my lips together, I let the excitement of not knowing what was going on bubble over. Doing a little jump, I clapped my hands and said, “Yes! I’m ready.”

“Close your eyes and I’ll lead you in.”

Narrowing my eyes, I chewed on my lip before doing as Colt asked. Taking my hands, Colt led me into the movie theater. He stopped and positioned me and placed his lips to my ear. “Open your eyes sweetheart.

Feeling my heart beating in my chest, I slowly opened one eye and peeked. Both eyes snapped open and I let out a gasp as I looked around the movie theater.

Oh. My. Glitter.

The entire place was empty, but there were bouquets of flowers going up each step to the middle of the theater.

“I know how you love to sit in the middle.”

Turning to look back at Colt, I noticed a small table set up with an LED candle lit and placed in the middle. Walking up to it I laughed when I saw two popcorns, two boxes of snowcaps, and a package of licorice. Placing my hands over my mouth, I tried to hold back my tears.

“Colt. You did all this for me?”

Placing his hands on the sides of my face he smiled and my knees weakened. “There isn’t anything I wouldn’t do for you, Lauren. We can sit here at the table, or up in the seats to watch the movie. It’s up to you.”

My lower jaw began to tremble as I was overcome with a rush pure happiness. “What are we watching?”

Colt flashed me the sexiest smile I’d ever seen as he winked and said, “Your favorite movie, Brother Bear.”

Stay calm Lauren. Don’t jump his bones here in the movie theater. Stay calm.

“I think I want to watch the movie up there in the back corner,” I said with a wicked smile.

Letting out a chuckle, Colt leaned in closer, “Why, sweetheart, you wouldn’t think of doing something naughty while watching a Disney movie would you?”

Looking into his eyes, I shook my head and purred, “Never.”

LEANING BACK IN
my chair, I smiled. Colt and I had spent over half of the movie just talking about everything and anything. It was nice to just be alone together.

Excusing myself from the table, I walked between two rows of books and stared down at my phone.
Should I send him a text or wait? Gesh, Lauren, stop overthinking this.
Placing my thumb in my mouth, I began to chew on my nail. I don’t get nervous. I don’t play games so why is this throwing me for a loop?

Taking in a deep breath I typed out a message for Colt.

Me:
I’m at the library studying for a chemistry test. I’ll see you back home later

About to turn around and walk back to the table, my phone buzzed in my hand. Smiling when I saw Colt’s name flash across the screen, I swiped the phone screen.

Colt:
Chemistry huh? I bet I can teach you something about chemistry

The moan that escaped my lips was not intended. Looking around quickly, I began typing back. So Mr. Mathews wants to have some dirty texting? I can do that.

Me:
Would it be hands on teaching?

Covering my mouth, I held my breath while I waited for his reply.

Colt:
Very hands on. Hands on your beautiful face. Hands on your full lush tits. Hands all over your breathtakingly sexy body. Best of all would be my hand between your legs as I bring out the most intense orgasm you’ve ever had.

My hand dropped from my mouth to my side as I fell back against the bookshelf. Damn if he wasn’t romantic and sexy at the same time. He gave new meaning to the words hot damn. Closing my eyes, I dreamed of Colt’s hands all over my body. It was if I could almost feel him near me.

Running my hand along my neck, I attempted to control the raging desire I had. My body felt as if it was on fire as I stood among the archeology section of the library.

Taking in a deep breath, I was about to reply when I felt the air around me change. Turning quickly, I sucked in a breath as my eyes locked with the most beautiful blue eyes ever. Colt stood before me dressed in jeans, a light-blue T-shirt that made his eyes seem to shine brighter, and a smile that melted my panties in less than a second.

“Colt,” I whispered.

“Your text to me earlier had my stomach in knots, Lauren.”

Wetting my dry lips, I asked, “Why was your stomach . . . um . . . in knots?”

Colt took a step closer to me as my body shook with the anticipation of his touch. “All I could picture was my lips on your beautiful body.”

A breath escaped my lips as my heartbeat began to beat faster. “That . . . would . . . be nice to feel. Your lips on my body.”

Tilting his head, Colt raised his eyebrow at me. “Yes it would, Lauren.”

Slowly nodding my head, I attempted to control my breathing. For some reason, Colt walking up on me in the library . . . surrounding by books talking about digging in the dirt . . . had me all worked up.

“Take a few steps back, Lauren.”

Doing as he said, I found myself at the end of the aisle. Colt took my arm and led me around a corner. We were tucked back into a corner and the only way anyone would see us is if they came looking for a book back here.

“W-what . . . are you doing here? I thought you had a class?”

Lifting his hand, Colt brushed my hair back and away from my face. Sliding his hand behind my neck he pulled me to him. Fire ignited my body the moment our lips touched. My arms immediately went around his neck. I needed more. The feelings that Colt pulled out of me were unlike anything I’d ever experienced before. It was as if I needed him near me to breathe.

Colt’s tongue danced with mine as we moaned softly into each other’s mouths. Colt whispered against my lips, “Lauren, I want to touch you so damn bad.”

“Yes! Please, Colt. Please!” I begged as his hand moved to my jeans. Unbuttoning my jeans he slipped his hand into my panties as I let out a gasp when his fingers plunged between my lips and into my body.

“Jesus, Lauren. You’re so wet, sweetheart. Do you want me, Lauren?”

My breathing was erratic. This had to be the hottest moment of my life. Knowing that any moment someone might walk around the corner and see us had my libido in overdrive. “I want you, Colt. I want you so much.”
