Chapter 10

Her hands were Colton’s hands. Colton’s hands were her hands. She thought of the first time they had kissed, how unpredictable and forceful it had been. It felt like the first time she had ever been kissed even though she had been kissed before many times. Her lips parted as she thought of his scratchy stubble running over her soft skin, blurring pain with pleasure. She thought of his hands coming around her waist and squeezing tightly, then moving around her back as she surrendered to the heat of his body, letting it envelop her like a cocoon.

He pulled her into him and she felt his muscles pressing against her. In her bed she rubbed her legs and breasts, and she moaned softly as she imagined Colton on top of her, running his hands along her body, roaming and exploring across every inch, his strong paws holding her down as he controlled her and did what he wanted to her, while she looked up at him with wide, wet sparkling eyes, willing him on to take her to new heights of bliss.

Her chest started to heave as her breathing became more intense and her breasts rose and fell. Her hands squeezed her huge bosom and she felt her nipples poking through the soft silk. She brought one hand up and ran it along her yearning lips, placing a finger in her mouth, nibbling hard enough to leave deep teeth marks and then sucking until saliva ran down her knuckles. With her other hand she reached down and felt for the edge of her night dress, before pulling it up and tracing her fingernails up the insides of her thigh, scratching slightly as she knew that’s what Colton would do.

Ana teased herself to a more and more intense state as she thought about Colton sliding down her body, digging his sharp teeth into her supple, milky flesh, teasing her with the promise of pleasure then mixing it with sparks of pain that made electricity crackle through her body. She twisted and writhed and then gasped deeply as she started to rub her wet lips, teasing herself with her fingers, letting them dance and play over her sweet pussy as she fantasized about Colton leaving a trail of kisses down her body, moving farther and farther towards her sweet spot.

As she thought of his burning passion pressing against her she could almost feel the veiny, thick bulge and yearned to touch it. She wanted it inside her, wanted him to plunge himself deep inside her and tear her body apart, hold her wrists down against the bed and squeeze tightly as he fucked her senselessly, sweat dripping down his long dark locks and running down her lips and cheeks, the salty beads trickling down her throat as his hips moved like pistons, smashing against her soft body while she writhed underneath him.

As this ran violently through her mind she ventured deeper and deeper inside her own body, pushing her fingers through the wet folds of skin and tissue, curling her fingers slowly as she stroked her sweet spot and put pressure on her clit, sending pulses of pleasure shooting through her body over and over again, a hazy sensation clouding her mind as she drove herself wild thinking about Colton.

Her hips rocked with the motion of her imagined lover as she thought about him getting deeper and deeper inside her, his thick erection filling her up and reaching way up into the heights of her soul. Her fingers moved assuredly inside, teasing and pleasing herself deftly and expertly, driving the pleasure to greater heights. Sweat broke out all over her body and prickled over her skin. She moved the sheets and cool air rushed in, adding another sensation into the powerful concoction. She was intoxicated and reality was like a far-off dream as she lost herself to the fantasy.

With the searing heat burning the air Colton almost shimmered into existence, at least that’s the way it seemed to her. She remembered the way he smelled and felt, the way his leathery, hairy skin threatened to scorch her, and she was lost to a transcendent realm for she thought of the little growl he used when he kissed her, a clear sign of his deep animalistic passion.

She pulled and twisted her own skin, her moaning became so loud that it mingled with the storm outside and the thunderous sounds of nature complemented her own moaning, two primal screams and each were competing with the other for supremacy. Her mind cracked as the lusty orgasm flowed within her, running deeper than her blood until it swelled and bubbled and exploded out of her in a warm release like a volcano.

A guttural scream sounded just as a bright bolt of lightning speared through the sky and illuminated the gloomy night in an ethereal blue glow. As the orgasm hit her Ana’s body jerked violently and her face contorted in exquisite delight. Her eyes shot open and her body shuddered as her skin flushed a dark crimson and she was crippled by satisfaction. She rolled over and nuzzled into the warm comfort of the pillow, wishing that Colton had been there to hold her tightly in the afterglow of sex.

She longed to feel his embrace and as the satisfaction dissipated she found herself feeling lonely and vulnerable, wanting her cold bed to be filled with the overwhelming warmth of him, but instead she felt his absence dearly and the pleasure quickly descended into a sadness. Reality came crashing down around her and she became aware of her surroundings, and began to hate them more and more.

The storm raged but it paled in comparison to the quaking in her heart, caught between two perfect lovers. She knew that Colton wasn’t the type to struggle but Glenn…Glenn would have kissed her softly and made her feel completely safe and loved. Colton would have roared away on his motorcycle into the night, disappearing like a phantom into the raging storm, not caring about the danger but welcoming it, almost as though he had a death wish.

She sighed and tried to close her eyes to rest but sleep didn’t come. She was relaxed and content but a whirlpool was swirling in her mind and the only thing that would have set her mind at ease would have been if one of them had turned up at her door. She strained her ears almost in the hope that out of nowhere one of them would turn up.

But they didn’t. She gazed out of a crack in the curtains and looked at the blistering rain pounding down, wondering if it would be like this for the foreseeable future.

Chapter 11

Eventually she managed to sleep that night and it was restful, thanks to the intense orgasm. Over the following days she met up with Angelica a number of times and gossiped more about various things. She wanted to keep busy to distract herself from the fact that Glenn hadn’t called her yet but it wasn’t entirely successful.

She still had some apartment viewings scheduled but she was almost apprehensive about going to Newtown because much of her excitement after having come back from the wedding lodge was to see either Colton or Glenn, or both, but neither had been in contact and part of her was worried that her aunt was right, and they had just used her for some entertainment that weekend.

However, Angelica tried her best to reassure her and whenever Ana was with her friend it worked, but when she was left alone she was left gazing at the stars. Trinity Falls was annoying her as well and she couldn’t wait to get out of there. She spoke with Angelica and tried to arrange to go and see apartments.

“There’s a slight problem with that. My parents are giving me a lot of grief. I’m still up for it but I might have to leave it a few weeks, just so they actually get to enjoy some time with me. I feel a little guilty for leaving them like that so I need to convince them. Do you mind putting it off for a while?”

Ana was disappointed but she agreed, and figured that it gave her a bit more time to find apartments. She had exclusively been looking at one bedroom apartments but now she needed to restart her search and look at two bedroom apartments. Business was going well and she was keeping busy, but she found herself glancing at her phone more times than usual and still there was no call from Glenn or Colton.

It got so bad that whenever she heard a motorcycle she rushed to the window in the hope that it was Colton, but it was not. Nights were cold and empty but the storm passed and the sky cleared up. Sometimes she felt a ball of rage swell within her but it was only a momentary thing and it soon passed. But towards the end of the week she got a phone call. It had been so long that she almost didn’t believe it when she saw that Glenn was calling her, her heart skipped a beat and she almost dropped the cell when she grabbed at it eagerly.

“Hello?” she heard Glenn say as she fumbled with the phone, and when she answered it was with a breathless tone.

“Hi!” she eventually said.

“Are you okay?”

“Yeah, you?” her tone was slightly apprehensive because she was still unsure of his intentions.

“I’m sorry it’s taken me so long to call you but I’ve been really busy. I had to fly out to Thailand to meet some investors and there’s really nothing I hate more than business meetings. I never get to see any of the countries I travel to.”

“My best friend just got back from traveling, she went to Europe.”

“That’s interesting. Have you traveled much?”

“No, not really. I’d love to though, but I don’t think I’ll get the opportunity. I’m working too hard at the moment to take any long periods of time off, and I don’t think there’s much point in going to all the hassle of arranging travel for just a few days away, especially with how expensive flights are.”

“I’ll have to see what I can do, after all I have a private jet. It makes traveling so much easier and you don’t have to worry about all the hassle of going to the airport.”

He spoke so matter-of-factly that you could almost believe he thought everyone had a private jet.

“You know, sometimes I don’t think you actually live in the real world.”

“I did tell you that magic exists, it might not always be the kind of magic you’re used to but there it is. Besides, who’d want to live in the real world?”

“Mm, yeah, who?” Ana replied sarcastically, rolling her eyes. Not that Glenn could see but the gesture came easily.

“Does that come off as really big-headed?” he said, laughing.

“A little bit,” Ana said, giggling too, “But does that mean you’re hinting that you’re going to see me again?”

“Of course. I did promise you that we’d see each other again. Did you not think I was serious?”

“I don’t know…it was a wedding, there was music and romance around, and people tend to promise things they don’t mean sometimes.”

“I’m not like that,” he said, in a serious tone, far more serious than she intended it to be, and she hated to think that she had wounded him with her words.

“I know, I’m sorry, I was just trying to make light of the situation. I was just…you know, I had hoped you would have called sooner.”

“I am sorry,” he said gravely, “but I have been busy on business. I did want to call you while I was in the air but we encountered a storm and I couldn’t get any signal.”

“We had a storm here too.”

“It seems like there are storms brewing all over the place.” Ana rose and walked from her desk to the sofa as they talked, and she settled into the comfort of the furniture, placing a cushion over her stomach and holding it tightly against her body.

“I hope it’s not a promise of bad things happening.”

“Sometimes storms can be good things too. They’re filled with passion and wonder, and it’s a volatile occurrence whereas the sunlight is more peaceful. Sometimes storms are preferable, because it means things are happening.”

It was a unique way of looking at things and a viewpoint that Ana had not considered, and she understood now that it was what Angelica must have been talking about as well.

“So when are we going out?” she asked.

“As soon as possible, I thought you could come to Newtown this weekend, if you’re not busy?”

“Well, I mean…I’m not, but the whole weekend? I have nowhere to stay…”

“I can take care of all of that. I’m going to put you up in a hotel and I can show you some of my favorite parts of the city, although I may have to adapt our plans depending on the weather. The hotel is near my house so you won’t have to go far, but we can go to dinner, see a movie or something, does that sound good?” It took a while for Ana to reply because she was dumbfounded by his offer.

“I can’t ask you to put me up in a hotel, that’s too much,” she said. She was all for old-fashioned romance but she’d never been one to want things paid for her. She hated the idea of being dependent on someone, even if that someone was a billionaire.

“It’s not too much at all. This is the way I see it, this is going to be our first date, and I always feel like the man should treat on the first date. It’s just the way I was brought up I suppose, and I must insist upon it. So I’m going to pay for this date and there’s no limit on it. Now then, if you like we can say that we can take turns so you can treat me next time, although I wouldn’t expect you to treat me to a hotel.”

“Well that’s presumptuous, do you assume with every girl that you’ll get a second date?”

“I don’t date every girl so I wouldn’t know. But with you, well, I don’t see it as presumptuous I see it as more hopeful. It’s like I’ve always hated the term hopeless romantic, I prefer hopeful romantic because that’s far more accurate to what I feel, and when I saw you for the first time I knew that I wanted to take you on a number of dates. One date just isn’t going to be enough for what I want to do.”

“And what is it that you want to do?” she said, biting her lip in anticipation. He was so sweet, and while it wasn’t like the raw passion that Colton inspired in her it still made her happy, and it gave her a sense of wellbeing that was rare, for she swelled with confidence as she couldn’t believe that this man was willing to pull out so many stops for her.

“I want to get to know everything about you,” he said sincerely, and a warm feeling spread through her.

“I want to get to know everything about you too,” she said, the words small and quiet but no less meaningful.

“Then it’s settled, you’ll come this weekend? Bring some different sets of clothes as well. Who knows where the weekend will take us.”

She almost squealed in excitement as she thought about everything that was waiting for her. The relief of him calling was palpable and it swept through her like an intoxicating drug. She was in a playful mood, and buoyed by their conversation she decided to test the limits of his flirtation.

“Well, right now I’m only wearing something that barely covers my body, it’s so hot in here,” she said, lowering her tone and twisting the ends of her hair around her fingers. “I wish you were here to keep me warm,” she said, stretching out the last word into a low, guttural moan. She could hear Glenn breathing on the other end of the phone, and she closed her eyes, wishing that it was washing over her skin.

She bit her lip and waited for his response, but the longer he took to reply the more she was sure that he was going to leave her disappointed, and so it proved to be. He sighed and at that point Ana’s heart fell, and whatever arousal had been threatening to spark within her died out like the abandoned embers of a fire.

“I’m sorry Ana but I’m really not comfortable with this sort of thing, and I have to run anyway, I have some business to attend to, but I look forward to seeing you this weekend. I’ll send you the details of the hotel, message me once you’re there and I’ll come to pick you up,” he said, and Ana agreed.

It was a disappointing end to the conversation which before that had been perfect, and seemed to have been leading somewhere. If he had humored her then it would have been perfect, and he could have shown that he had some of the same passionate fire that burned so brightly within Colton, yet still Glenn was proving that he was a more gentler soul, and she wondered if he would ever show another, beastlier side of him. Colton had no hesitation in showing his and Ana found it irresistible, she only wished that it didn’t mean she was thinking about Colton when she should have been thinking about Glenn.
