As I paced my bedroom, the door opened causing me to scream. When I saw it was just Kantwan, I placed my hand over my heart and exhaled heavily. I was not hip to this gangster life! By the confused look on his face, I could tell he thought I was losing my fucking mind. Shit, I didn't care what he thought, as long as he took care of Isaiah.

“You good, ma?” he asked.

“Kantwan, you have to kill Monty's brother!”

“What? Who the fuck is Monty?”

“The dude that you saved me from in the van that night! He... his brother... they—”

“Cheyla, sit down and calm the fuck down so you can talk properly. And calm down for the baby in your stomach, shorty. As hyped up as you are, it can't be good for my kid.” Kantwan sat me down gently on the edge of the bed before he knelt down.

After a couple deep breaths, I said, “Okay, Monty is the guy that you saved me from that night. He has two brothers, and one of them, named Isaiah, threatened me today. He told me that he was gonna get me back for setting his brother up. I tried to explain that it didn't happen that way!”

“Cheyla, baby, please tell me you didn't say anything about what happened for real.”

“No, I pretended to not even know his brother was dead. I acted as if I was hearing it for the first time. He said someone told him that my boyfriend did it though.”

“Good job, ma. Where did this shit happen? You weren't home, were you?” he furrowed his brows.

“Nope! This was at school today, in the food court. He yanked me into some little hallway while I was waiting for my sandwich.”

“I'm not too sure if he is anything to worry about, baby, but I will have someone keep an eye on him. Do you know his and Monty's last name or anything like that?”

“No. I only knew Monty as Monty. He was a faithful customer of mine at Starzz, and that was it. He hired me for that party at the Westin that night, the one you shot up.”

“Hmm, maybe we can get his information that way, I will see. But relax your nerves, aight? He ain't gon' do shit to you, baby, I promise. Have I ever let anything happen to you?”

“No, you always save me or protect me.”

“Aight then, so don't sweat it. This nigga ain't gonna do shit to you, and if I think he is, I will dead him like you asked. Cool?”

“Cool.”

Thank God for Kantwan Camren.

Chapter
Three: Elijah

Kilexis and I decided to stop and get some food. It was the middle of the day, and since all we'd been doing was working and having meetings regarding the new club we were opening, we wanted to just chill and get some grub. We decided to stop at El Diablo Burritos in Trolley Square, and sit down just to relax our nerves and talk.

“Feels good to talk about some shit other than work,” Kill chuckled and glanced out the window.

“I know, man. Feels like the old days when we were just working the blocks and shit.” I nodded just as a waitress came to our table to take our order. This was a stand in line spot, but because we knew the girl, she went out of her way for us. After we put in everything, we waited until she walked away to resume our conversation. “So what's up with that Sophie girl?”

“I pulled up on her ass and demanded that she show up for a DNA test. I wasn't fucking playing around with her ass at all. She really thought ignoring my texts was gonna do something. But get this, her nigga was there.”

“Damn, and what the fuck did he have to say? That's grounds to get you killed. I wish I would find out my bitch got pregnant by another nigga, I'd kill all of their asses.”

“I thought the same way until Margo got pregnant by that older cat. When that shit happened I was just over it. She wasn't worth any of that shit, and that's when I realized I ain't love her like I thought I did.”

“That has to be it, because I can't see you keeping it pushing like that if it were Jersey,” I chuckled.

“You damn right. I'd go insane if that shit happened with Jersey. But anyway, her nigga was perplexed because she'd been telling him he was the father so he was dumb confused.”

“That's fucked up. Aye I know this is shady, but I'm glad as hell that you fucked her that night and not me, because she was almost mine. Remember?”

“Yeah, I remember, and fuck you,” he laughed. “I should've just fucked Amelia's hoe ass and I wouldn't be in this shit.”

“It ain't yours though, right Kill? I mean I know you strapped up.”

Kilexis was never the reckless type, he was always careful. That's why it was a surprise when he got Jersey pregnant, but I knew he was feeling her way more than any of us knew, so he was probably in the moment. I just hoped that he was sure about Sophie and the fact that her baby wasn't his, because that would be all bad for more than one reason.

“Yeah, I fucking strapped up, man, ain't no way I was running up in her with no cap. I mean, I didn't plan to with Jersey, but a nigga was in the damn moment and it happened, I don't regret it though,” he cheesed.

“Maybe you were caught in the moment with Sophie too,” I said, and could barely get it out before cracking up laughing, because I knew that was straight bullshit. The waitress set down our plates and drinks before sashaying away.

“Fuck you, aight? Ain't no damn way that hoe had me caught up in shit. I remember rolling the shit down before telling her to hop on, because she was asking me to eat her out while I was doing it.”

“You didn't?”

“Nigga, hell no! You the only nigga that let's these random hoes sit on your face,” he taunted and I threw a tortilla chip at his lying ass.

“Fuck out of here, don't nobody sit on my face unless they got that Grade A, like Ivy.”

“Too much information, but thanks.”

We began tearing into our food and for some reason, this burrito was the best that I had ever had. I guess the fact that I skipped breakfast was the reason I was so got damn hungry, and now this poor burrito was getting devoured like a muthafucka.

“Aye, is this burrito the shit, or is it just me?” I asked Kill as I inspected my food, looking for a reason as to why it was so damn good.

“Nah, this shit is fire, low-key.” He agreed.

POP! POP! POP! POP! POP!

Gunshots began flying through the window we sat by, as everyone screamed and hollered. Kilexis and I both dropped to the floor and put our bodies against the booth, hoping no bullets hit us. Once they seized, Kill hopped up with the quickness and ran outside, drawing his heat immediately while looking all around the shopping center for the culprits.

“Fuck!” he hollered and turned to me as he put his gun back in his waist.

When he did, I saw his right shoulder was soaked in blood. His once white thermal was a deep dark ass red up by his shoulder and collarbone. He was so angry he didn't even notice that he'd been hit.

“Nigga, they got you, let me take you to—”

“Take me home, Eli.”

“Nigga, look at all this fuckin' blood! I'm not taking you home!” I started off after him, because he was booking it to my car.

“Fuck,” he groaned in pain once he reached my whip. “Eli, man, just take me to my crib before the police make it here. Call this number so the medical professional I hired will come through, but do not take me to hospital, this shit was not random,” he said once we were both in the car.

I stared at him for a bit before sighing heavily and taking the phone from him. I tapped the number he had cued up, then explained to the medical professional that we needed her because Kill had been hurt. I finished the call, and then sped out of there with one hand on my heat just in case. I stayed that way all the way until we reached Kill's home. When I looked over at him, the whole damn right side of his shirt was covered in blood.

“Fuck man, that nigga better already be here!” I shouted and jogged around to help him out of the car.

“Nah, I'm good, just go open the door.” He handed me his key.

I shook my head at his ass, and jogged to the front door to open it. I looked behind me and saw he was struggling to make it over, but he was getting there. I knew he wouldn't allow me to help him, and that shit annoyed the fuck out of me. He never wanted help of any kind, from anybody. Finally, he made it, and just then, the medical person arrived as Jersey was coming down the stairs. Kill collapsed onto the floor, and groaned loudly as he held onto his shoulder with his eyes shut tightly and his teeth clenched.

“Okay! Get him on the stretcher!” the lady yelled out to her nurse assistants.

“Kilexis, what the fuck!” Jersey shouted as she tried to get closer to him. She was crying and so was little Alexsia.

“Jersey, get her out of here, shorty, please!” Kilexis hollered as I helped them lift him onto the bed.

“Baby girl, come on.” I tried to turn Jersey away but her small ass was strong. She was trying to bypass me, and she was doing a pretty good job to be so little
and
holding a baby.

“Jersey, take yo’ ass upstairs!” Kilexis barked once more as they rushed him to the back. He was in so much pain and I just hoped they could save his stubborn ass.

“Please go upstairs, Jersey,” I begged as both she and Alexsia cried. I wonder if their daughter knew what was happening, or if she was just crying because of all the ruckus. “I will come and get you as soon as anything changes, okay?”

“Eli, just let me go back there, I have to—” she stopped talking when she saw me shaking my head no.

I picked her up while she was still holding her daughter, and carried her ass to the bedroom. I placed her down in it, and then shut the door, holding it closed. I could hear her crying and begging for me to let her out but I just couldn't.

How did this day go from sugar to shit so damn quickly? Someone was gonna pay for this bullshit for sure.

Chapter
Three: Ka’Shea “Shea” Camren

I pressed the back of my head into the pillow as I tried to hold my nut in. Raleigh was riding me all slow and shit, driving a nigga crazy. Her perky breasts were staring me in the face, making my mouth water. I wanted to devour them bitches, but I knew I would be bursting all inside of her if I moved too much. She was winding her hips, and her pussy was wet as hell like it always got for me. Gripping her hips, I attempted to control her movements. She hit the base of my dick, and when her body shivered from cumming, it was a wrap for a player.

“Shit!” I screeched as I filled her sexy body up with my seeds.

She slowly got up off of me, and then laid to the side to cuddle up to me. This was how we started every morning, and I loved the shit. Raleigh and I were close as fuck, so close that she never took her pretty ass home. She was always here, and if she did go to her house, she would be calling me to come spend the night. Usually I would cringe at the thought of spending all of my free time with the same woman, but I was feeling this shit. I was feeling it a little too much, and I was wondering what the fuck was wrong with me.

“You got me tripping, Raleigh,” I whispered as my fingertips lightly brushed her small bicep.

“In a good way?” she quizzed.

“Good for you, bad for me,” I chuckled and she hit my chest. “Nah, it’s a good thing, only if you’re serious as fuck with me,” I sat up.

“I’m serious as fuck with you, you know that. You just better make sure all of your duckies are in a row, and that them bitches know whose nigga you are. Do they know your phone number is
our
phone number?” she joked… half joked.

“They know,” I grinned and so did she.

I gathered the shit I would need to get cleaned up, before going into the bathroom to shower and brush my teeth. Once I was clean, I got dressed in some gray Jordan joggers, a black Jordan shirt, and some black and white retro Jordan 12’s. Raleigh had just braided my shit up into two long ass French braids, and my facial hair had been freshly lined up.

“I don’t know if I want you going out like that,” Raleigh smiled as she picked some clothes out of her duffle bag. She then took what she needed to the bathroom so she could shower.

“I ain’t even fitted, shorty.”

“But you know even when you’re dressed down, you still are fine as hell.”

“True,” I responded as she laughed.

“Let’s go to the movies tonight, and then when we get back I can make you some dinner. You can have me for dessert.”

“Sounds like a plan.” I kissed her lips and then dipped.

I was on my way to go see my boy, Blow. I wanted to know if he had any more information on Portland and Sonny’s little bitch ass operation. Hopefully he’d found out who was helping them. Maybe that would lead us to who the fuck shot my damn brother in the middle of the fucking day.

I got to Blow’s home about fifteen minutes later, and as usual, he was sitting outside munching on some damn ranch sunflower seeds. This nigga’s sodium levels had to be high as fuck with the way he ate them damn things.

“What’s good with you?” he stood up and put his hand out to dap me up.

“Nah nigga, I ain’t touching them hands. I saw you sucking the skin off them bitches when I pulled up.” I sat down.

“Fuck you, bro. What brings you over here? Another dinner invite?”
