Reaching out, my fingers trail the sides of her breasts and I smile as I watch her nipples pebble into rigid peaks before cupping each one tenderly with my hands. Leaning down, I softly kiss the delicate skin of her neck, my fingers grazing her sensitive peaks gently before rolling them between my fingertips.

“Oh my God,” she says in a throaty voice. “That feels so good,” she murmurs, throwing her head back in pure pleasure as I tug on her nipples harder.

“Is your pussy wet for me?” I whisper.

“Mmhmm...”

“Tell me,” I murmur, my hands halting their attack.

Alana lift her head, her hooded eyes meeting my own. “Please don’t stop,” she begs. “I want you, Jax. Show me how it’s supposed to be.”

They are the only words I need to hear. Placing one hand on her left breast, the other creeps down slowly to the folds of her wet pussy. “You are so fuckin’ wet,” I say as I dip a finger inside.

“Oh God, that feels so good,” she moans.

Taking a step forward, I blindly lead her to the bed, my lips capturing hers once again. Pushing her back onto the mattress, I stare down at pure perfection, my heart swelling at the realization that she is all mine. Lowering myself on top of her, my lips meets hers, passionately claiming her as my own.

With my hands buried in her hair, my tongue plunges into her mouth deeper, mimicking what my cock will be doing to her pussy all too soon. I would like nothing more than to fuck her hard and fast at this very moment, but refuse to give into temptation. This is our first time, and it has to be perfect, the way her first time should’ve been.

Pulling back, I gaze down at her, loving the whimper that escapes her lips at my absence. “You are mine,” I murmur against her warm flesh, licking a trail from her neck to her right breast, then circling around the rigid peak lightly, causing a low moan to escape her lips. Sucking her hardened nipple into my mouth, she groans as I work her other nipple with my fingertips. “Fuck...” she moans, “I need you, Jax.”

Moving my fingers to her mouth, I part her lips, sliding one inside as I continue my assault on her nipples, gently nipping them. Alana wantonly devours my finger, sucking it slowly into her mouth as if she is savoring it, the image of my cock in her mouth only moments ago replaying in my mind.

Withdrawing my fingers, I move them slowly down her neck, trailing the wetness from her mouth down to her overly sensitive nipples. “Please...” she cries out as I make my way down to her drenched pussy, flicking out my tongue to taste her for the first time.

Spreading her lips, I run my tongue the length of her pussy, eliciting a soft moan to escape her lips. When I reach her hardened clit, I circle it slowly at first before sucking it into my wanton mouth.

Arching her back, Alana moans with pure pleasure as I continue my assault on her clit, my fingers working her pussy into a frenzy. She cries out as her orgasm takes hold, her taste flooding my mouth as she comes.

Working my way up her body, I halt when I am staring down at her beautiful face. Her eyes are closed, still relishing in the pleasure she has just received. When they flutter open, I smile down at her before slanting my mouth to capture hers again.

“You are so fuckin’ perfect, Lana,” I whisper as I pull away.

“Please don’t make me wait, Jax...” she pleads, our eyes meeting in mutual desire. As good as she made me feel, I want, no I need more.

“Tell me what you want,” I say, lining my cock up with her wet entrance.

"I want you to make love to me, Jax," she says, her pleading eyes meeting mine.

Slowly I enter her, taking my time, feeling her pussy stretch as I fill her with my entire length. “Damn, you feel so fuckin’ good,” I moan as I come to a stop, fully seated inside of her.

“I love you Jax,” she whispers, looking up at me with eyes that reflect the words she has just uttered.

“And I love you, Alana. I always have,” I reply before lowering my lips to hers, hungrily kissing her as though I am a starved man. Slowly, I begin to pull out, pausing when only the head remains inside her, then driving into her again.

Over and over, I drive into her, my rhythm becoming more vigorous as her pussy clamps down on my rigidness. Sex has never felt so good and although I never want the feeling to end, I feel myself unable to control my impending orgasm. As if on cue, I feel her pussy grip me tightly and my cock swells within her, both of us crying out as we come in unison.

Breathless and feeling sated, I roll from on top of her, pulling her to me as I lay on my back. Life couldn’t be more perfect than it is in this moment. Alana is finally mine and nothing will ever stand between us from this point forward.

“What do we do now?” Alana whispers into my chest after several moments of silence.

“What do you mean?” I ask, raising my head slightly off the pillow.

Alana lifts her head, looking over at me with saddened eyes. “This is all new to me,” she says as she looks away.

“Hey,” I whisper. “Are you having regrets?” I ask, my heart sinking at the thought of my own words.

“No, it’s just... I’ve never done anything like this before. I’m not sure what comes next.”

“It’s a first for me too,” I say, my finger lifting her chin so our eyes meet. “We just take it one day at a time, but we do it together. You will never be alone again, Alana. I will always be with you.”

She lays her head back on my chest, breathing in deeply. “I’ve never felt like this before,” she whispers.

“Me either, baby. Only with you,” I say, meaning every word.

We lay together in silence, the only sound is that of us breathing. Tonight we have taken a big step. We are no longer two desolate souls living our lives without feeling or meaning. We are now one, never to be two again.

Glancing over at the bedside table, I see that it is nearing two in the morning, and only when I hear Alana’s rhythmic breathing do I realize she has fallen asleep in my arms. Pressing my lips to her forehead, I reach down and pull the covers over her naked form, pulling her even closer to me. “Goodnight, Alana,” I whisper.

My words are met with silence, but I have never felt less alone. Today begins a new life for us, with tomorrow being the beginning of our forever. As I close my eyes and begin to drift asleep, my thoughts are only of Lana and the future the two of us will forever share.

Chapter 28

Three Months Later

H
appily ever after only happens in fairy tales, or at least that is what I had always believed. Now I know that dreams do come true, even if it takes a long time to become reality. My knight in shining armor may not be what you read in story books or see in the movies, but in my eyes he is absolute perfection, all the way down to his tatted up body sitting astride his Harley.

“You’re drooling,” Alexis snickers from beside me, causing me to glare in her direction. “Just making an observation,” she giggles, her eyes following mine as I stare in Jax’s direction.

Just like every other night I am working, he is seated at the far table in the corner, he and Deuce laughing at something Spyder has just said. “I can’t help it,” I say, wondering where I would be if I hadn’t found Jax again. There’s no doubt that I still be falling for Paul’s tricks, being used and manipulated by someone I thought I could trust. Another hard life lesson to learn.

“Can’t say I blame you. Jax is a winner, but I think he lucked out just as much as you did.”

I smile over at her, grateful I have a friend like her in my life. In the last few months, I have opened up to her, revealing things about my past that only Jax knows about. In return, she has shared more about her life. Ultimately, we have become as close as sisters. “So have you set a date?” I probe, secretly hoping her and Spyder have finally made a decision.

“No,” she groans. “I can’t get it through his thick head that all I want is a small wedding, just close friends and family, and nothing extravagant. He seems to think I need some elaborate ceremony, with bells and whistles. Weddings like that are for everyone else. I want ours to be about us.”

I smile, liking the sound of that. “He’ll come around,” I say reassuringly. One thing is for certain, Spyder loves Alexis and he’ll do whatever it takes to make her happy.

“What about you and Jax? Any wedding bells in the near future?”

I turn abruptly, unable to hide the shocked look on my face. “We’ve only been together a few months,” I remind her, as if she doesn’t know. And these months have been the best of my life. Our first night together will forever be etched in my mind. I can still remember my shock when I awoke to find I had slept soundly in his arms the entire night. Neither of us has spent a night alone since, and if I have anything to say about it, we never will. I love Jax being the first thing I see when I wake up and the last thing before drifting asleep.

“Oh pish posh,” she says, fanning her hand at me. “You two have been an item since you were kids. So what if you spent a few years apart. You’re together now and nothing’s gonna change that.”

I wish I had as much faith as she does. It’s not like I am worried about Jax leaving me anymore. That thought abandoned my mind long ago. I have only one fear now, and hopefully tomorrow will put an end to it all. I still don’t know how he found out where I was staying, but for the last few months I have received a letter from Paul at least twice a week.

“You’re nervous, aren’t you?” Alexis asks, bringing me back to the present. “Have you told Jax?”

“No,” I mutter, trying hard to conceal my concern. “He wouldn’t understand. I have to tell Paul goodbye, let him know I have moved on and am finally happy. Maybe then he’ll finally let me go.”

In two days, Paul will go in front of a judge and learn his fate. When I heard the news that he was foregoing a jury trial, I knew he had given up. After Hawk’s sentence made headlines, he probably knew there was no hope. In a way I am sad for him. Deep down I believe Paul is a good man, he just went about everything the wrong way. I could hate him for what he has done to me, but instead I am grateful. If not for him, Jax and I never would have reconnected, nor would I have ever experienced this kind of happiness.

“I mean about the other,” she says, nodding at me.

“No,” I admit, feeling guilty that Alexis knows and I still haven’t mentioned a word to Jax.

“You can’t keep hiding it forever. Eventually he’s gonna figure it out.”

It’s not like I’m trying to keep my pregnancy a secret. Hell, I didn’t even think I could get pregnant, which is why we never bothered with birth control. I just haven’t found the right time to tell him. Hell, I didn’t tell Alexis. Smartass figured it out the first time I turned green at work.

“I’m gonna tell him,” I reassure her, making a vow to myself to do so as soon as possible.

“He’s gonna be ecstatic,” Alexis says, placing her hand on mine. “He loves you Alana, so damn much. When he finds out you’re carrying his baby, he’s gonna be walking around with a permanent smile on that handsome face.”

I hope she is right. We’ve talked about our future, but children never came up. “I promise, I’ll talk to him.”

“Good,” she says, a broad smile overtaking her face. “Where you going handsome?” she calls out.

I turn to see Jax heading towards the hall beside the bar. “You’re such a nosy little bitch, aren’t you Alexis?” he smiles, causing Alexis to laugh. “You two continue your little gossip fest and don’t mind me,” he says as he walks past, winking at me.

“Yep, you are one lucky woman,” Alexis purrs, staring at Jax’s ass until he disappears down the hallway.

“I know,” I say, my eyes locking with Jax’s as he reenters the room. He is my past, present and future. The happiest times in my life revolved around him, and now is no different. I’m in love, but then again, I always have been. Denying it didn’t change my feelings and never will. In a few months, we will be welcoming a child into the world, our child, created in love and he or she will have everything neither of us had growing up. “Can you cover for me?” I ask, turning towards Alexis abruptly.

“Sure hun,” she says, nodding at me in understanding.

Taking in a deep breath, I cross the room to where Jax has just taken a seat.

“Can we talk?” I ask him quickly before I lose my nerve. Deuce looks over at me, concern etching his face.

“Sure babe,” Jax says as he stands, his expression mimicking Deuce’s. Grasping my hand in his, he leads me towards the hall and into the office, locking the door behind him as soon as we enter. “You OK?”

“Yeah,” I mutter, avoiding his gaze. “Something happened.” How fuckin’ lame is that?
Something happened.
This is Jax. I can be honest with him.

“OK, well are you planning on telling me or am I supposed to guess?” he asks, smirking at me.

I open my mouth to speak, but the words won’t come out.
What am I supposed to say? Oh, by the way, you knocked me up.
How do you tell the man you love that you are carrying his child? Will he be happy, upset, or maybe even angry?

“I like guessing games,” he chuckles. “Let’s see, what could be difficult for you to tell me...” he trails off, a look of amusement on his face. “You decided you were wrong and want to be with Deuce instead?”
