“Umm, since the first day I think. Why?”

“He hasn’t spoken one word to anyone that I know of since he was seven.”

My eyes went wide, “Really??”

She sat back and looked at her son, “Well I’ll be damned.”

“He still doesn’t want to talk to anyone, so please, son’t say anything to him. He said I’m supposed to speak for him.”

“What about the wedding vows?” Red asked.

“I don’t know to be honest, he won’t tell me. I asked, but he said not to worry about it and focus on the wedding.”

“What’s he wearing?” Caroline asked. She knows what I’m wearing since she ordered it.

“I don’t know that either. As long as he’s there, I really don’t care.”

Red pulled out a joint and handed it to Salina, “Here, light this, I’ve been cut off. The least you can do is let me smell it.”

Salina looked at Red funny, “Cut off? Why? Oh no, REALLY???!!” She jumped up and crashed into Red who hugged her back just as fiercely.

“I just found out this morning.” She laughed.

It took me a minute, “You’re pregnant? But, that’s a drink.” I pointed to the fruity drink in her hand.

She held it up, “Virgin, with the exception of the prenatal vitamins Joe seems to think I need to have with every meal.”

I laughed and sat back to toast her, “Congratulations Mommy, good luck getting that big kid out of there and walking again this century.”

Salina laughed and shook her head, “No shit. I highly recommend a C-Section.”

“Well, as long as you all do the baby making I’ll throw the showers.” I decided.

Caroline and Red leaned into me and asked at the same time, “No kids?”

I shook my head, “Nah. He’s too nervous about something happening to me.”

Caroline sat back sobering a little as she studied me, “He thinks it was the size that made them premature?”

“I guess.”

“He’s wrong.” She blinked a couple times and looked at her sons over my shoulder for a couple seconds before continuing. “He and Chardonnay fought from the minute they were conceived. Back in those days we couldn’t tell who was trying to hurt who, maybe it didn’t matter, but we think the fertility drug had something to do with it.

“They tried to take her out, for reasons you don’t need to know, but Turner all but climbed out after her. Only when we separated them did he calm down. He probably would have gone full term if she hadn’t been there.”

I sat back taking a sip. “Wow. So he’s always wanted to hurt her?”

“I don’t think so. As she got older I realized it was her wanting to hurt him, and him retaliating. I get the feeling if he could have killed her in the womb he would have.” She explained.

Red touched her belly, “There better be only one of you boogers in there.”

I laughed and Caroline smiled, “Things are much more advanced these days, and you’re not on crazy fertility drugs, and whatever else my husband had me on I didn’t know about.” She complained draining her wine and waving over a prospect to order another one.

“I’m so happy for you guys.” I told Red lighting her joint to celebrate.

“Thank you. It took us long enough.”

I laughed, “Yeah, I heard you’ve been on your bak a lot this last year.”

She rolled her eyes, “On my back, my side, my stomach, my husband is not right.”

“I don’t think any man with the last name of Colson is right.” Salina agreed taking the joint I offered her.

I looked over to mine who is already looking back. “He’s right for me, I’ll take him.”

We got a good laugh for a while after that. The burgers were burnt, but everyone was too busy drinking and talking to care.

Later that evening Cord came bak with his wife, girlfriend?, Goat, Gunner, Stacy and few other members. Evidently there’s more coming tomorrow. I had no idea my wedding would end up the rally of the year for the club. Cool.

Dinner was just as chaotic, if not worse. I’m not too sure because Turner pulled off for a walk shortly after he finished his fourth cheeseburger. He likes his mother’s cooking too. Hard to believe he might be finicky.

I looked up leaning into his arm as we walked, “This is fun. Whenwill my father be here?”

“Tomorrow on the second run. He’s bringing a girlfriend and told me to warn you she’s nice and you might like her.” He bent to kiss the top of my head.

“Good, it’s about time. Are you ready for all this? It’s going to be a crazy next few days, and I know you like your privacy.”

He shrugged, “I can step away when I need to, so far so good. Being family and the club helps, I’m used to these guys.”

“What about your father? How’s that going?”

“We’re keeping our distance. Mom made him promise not to ruin your wedding or she’d tell Joe to go find all his cigars and burn them.”

I laughed, “I like her, she’s nice.”

“Until you cross her. She’s as nice as she is vicious, a little like you.” He stopped and took my hand, “Come here, I have something for you.”

“You do? What?”

“You never asked me what happened to your bike after I kidnapped you.”

I skipped to keep up beside him, “I knew Slider would take care of it. Where is my Sportster anyway?”

“I put it in storage. If you’re going to marry me you’re going to have to ride next to me sometimes, especially if we’re both on the road for a while.”

I stopped as we rounded the corner of the garage and the door was open. “Damn, got Harley’s??” I asked seeing bike after glorious bike. “They’re beautiful.”

“Pick one.”

I stumbled, “What? No. These are your father’s, right?”

He shrugged, “More like one of the nicer banks of bikes. He can’t ride much so he’s letting us pick our inheritance. You can have mine. Pick one.”

“You pick it!” I looked up for him.

He smiled down at me with a sweet smile. He likes it when I’m flustered. “Take your time baby. There’s one more thing.” He reached into his inside pocket and dropped to one knee.

I stood there dumbfounded as he opened a small dark box where a large square diamond surrounded by smaller diamonds gleamed back up at me.

“Will you marry me Georgia Pine?” He asked softly and I think he was actually afraid I’d say no.

“Yes, yes of course I’ll marry you.” I crashed into his lap forgetting the ring, just him on his knee for me is more than I could ever ask. Turner Colson doesn’t get to his knees easily, and not for just anyone. So far Slider and I are the only ones who have that honor.

He scooped me up and carried me inside. “Now, pick your wedding present, I want to go for a ride tomorrow.”

“Do you still have the handcuffs?” I asked as he set me on a large Road King.

“Always, but you’re getting the fuzzy kind once I figure out where to buy them.” He stepped back, “No, not this one.” He pointed to a white Softail, “Go sit on that one.”

I hopped from bike to bike and back again for about an hour. I finally came back to the white Softail and named her Pearl because the paint shimmers like a pearl.

Standing at the alter was the most beautiful, biggest, most majestic man I’ve ever seen. His hair is neatly tied back in a long ponytail falling down his back over a white suit.

His hands are folded in front of him as he waits for me. I can barely move.

My father squeezes my hand as we walk towards the man who is about to become my husband and smiles behind his freshly trimmed goatee. “He’ll take good care of you Peach.”

“I know.” I whispered. “Thank you for being here Daddy.”

He put my hand in Turner’s and said to him, “I’d say take care of her, but if I know my daughter, she’ll be the one taking care of you.” He winked and kissed my cheek before going to his seat.

Turner lifted my veil, “You look like an angel from heaven, my angel.”

I smiled checking him out, “You clean up pretty well yourself Mr. Colson.”

He smiled, “Now let’s make you Mrs. Colson so I can get you out of that dress.”

I laughed and looked at the man administering our service. “We’re ready.”

He nodded and looked us over, “Then let’s begin.”
