“I need to see your driver’s license and registration ma’am.” He ordered looking inside.

Turner stepped down past me in only his jeans with his wallet in hand, “My wife doesn’t have ID at the moment, her wallet was stolen. I was driving, and will move us to a campground. I apologize for the inconvenience.” He said it so perfectly I almost came in my pants. This is the first time I’ve heard him speak to anyone but me, and the commanding, confident tone, is deeper now than when he talks to me.

The officers were swept up like me. “You can take your time, it’s not being used. Just clear off when you feel better Detective Colson.”

Turner nodded and handed me his wallet, “Put that in the safe.”

I looked at it getting a weird feeling. I dared to open the trifold and felt my eyes pop open, “You’re a fucking cop??”

He laughed, “Not really, that’s an old badge. If he’d bothered to look at the expiration date he’d know I was retired.”

“Then what would you have done?”

“Showed him the DEA one. I have an arsenal of badges. If we were in a hurry I’d show him the active one, but I was bored.”

“Active one??” I asked following him to the safe.

He took the wallet, “It’s a long story baby.”

“I’m listening. You want me to marry you Turner Colson, you better fess up.” I sat on the bed, “Now.”

He flopped down on the bed and looked at the ceiling, “You’ve heard how Bull broke his sons right?”

“I know he did, but I don’t know how.”

“How isn’t important. I was the only one he couldn’t break. He sent me away, along with Chardonnay.”

“You left that part out earlier.”

“I ran off instead of killing the foster parents. She hated me for it.”

“I’m sorry.”

“I went through college, academy training, FBI, CIA, you name it, I’ve worn the badge.”

“That’s impressive.”

“And tiring. I pulled four as a straight up Navy Seal. Blasted through their training so bad it pissed Joe off to no end. It was a great fight. We still laugh about it.”

“You were a Seal too?”

He shrugged, “Sort of. I only did certain jobs.. That’s complicated too.”

“You weren’t part of that team…

He laughed, “No. They didn’t need me for that.” He shifted and touched my jaw, “I’ll take it easy on the bruising, as I’m finding it less of a need to mark you. You can see you father, on our wedding day. That’s the last compromise you’ll get from me on this.” He warned.

I sighed, “You drive a hard bargain.”

“I love you Georgia Pine, you will be mine.”

I laughed because he’s so sweet when he’s worried, “I love you too Turner Colson. Now get down here and make love to me before we get kicked off the property, again.”

He stopped just short of my lips to his, “I have a Do Not Disturb sign on my driver’s license.”

I laughed and bit his lower lip, “You didn’t show them your driver’s license.”

“Shit, see what you do to me?” He made love to me very gently. Too gently. I almost said something, but I knew he needed to know he could be gentle. He needed to know he could do this. Maybe I do too.

I got up and flinched when my hip almost gave out. He likes my hips and might have nibbled a little too hard when he woke up horny as hell a few hours ago.

“You okay?” He asked as I flipped on the bathroom light.

“Oh yeah, just half asleep.” I looked in the mirror, “Holy hell I look fucked.” I laughed. My hair is all but straight up.

He leaned in the doorjamb, “You’re beautiful as always.” He moved my robe aside and shook his head, “You really have to tell me when I do that.”

I poked at the red spots. “It’s fine. You did good keeping it under the jeans.” I hopped up and kissed him before squatting to pee. We’ve peed in the woods together a few times, so it wasn’t a big deal.

When I was finished he hugged me, “I want to take you home with a marriage certificate.”

“I just want to take you home.” I took his hand leading him back to the kitchen. “Hungry?”

“Are you going to feed me?” He asked more relaxed than I’ve seen him to date.

“Do I have a choice?”

He sat on the couch and picked up the remote, “If I don’t I’ll crash out on you.”

“Oh thank God, a break.” I teased starting a feast for him. He likes pasta with fresh vegetables.

“I don’t know why I tolerate that smart mouth of yours.”

“Because you like kissing it. Do you want garlic bread?”

“Yes. Make a salad too, it’s been a while since you’ve cooked for me. I like your cooking.” He said so easily I smiled as my eyebrows hit the roof.

“I think that’s the nicest thing you’ve said to me.” I laughed.

“So, ‘nice tits’ didn’t do it for you?” He found a baseball game and tuned me out.

At least until I sat on his lap with food. “Hello gorgeous.” I greeted him with a forkful.

He took it. “You made my favorite.”

“You eat everything.”

“Not anymore, I prefer my peaches.” He flirted enjoying the attention.

“Gross Turner.” I scolded him.

He took another bite, “I didn’t do that very often to be honest. It was not a requirement with the women I slept with.”

“Is that what it is? A requirement?”

“I guess. It didn’t have appeal until you, let’s put it that way.”

“I’ve seen Goat, he lives for

He interrupted me, “Really Peach?” He took the bite I offered and slurred, “Eat.”

I took a bite. “Well, I thought it was like catnip for men.”

He narrowed his eyes, “No. Too much perfume on regulars, and one night stands are too easy, you don’t want to go down there.”

I laughed feeding him, “That’s nasty.”

He shrugged, “It’s true. You on the other hand haven’t been touched in so long it’s almost like honey. By the way, you’re ovulating.”

I shivered at the intimate comment and shoved a handful of food in his mouth. “You’re disgusting. Who cares? I’m on the shot.”

He swallowed so easily I rolled my eyes, “Come here.” He tucked his hands under my butt.

I swatted him away, “NO!! Later. Eat this while it’s hot.” I shoved another bite in his mouth.

He took the plate and set it on his left and flipped me to his right and under him. “I fully intend to.”

I screamed in joy as he nibbled and bruised his way down. He’s not hurting me, oh God that’s good. He finds that sweet spot on my hip and and digs in just enough to get a verbal response. Then he goes about kissing and touching to bring on sensations I never knew existed. Oh he’s good.

The next morning I fed him bacon wrapped pancakes and apple slices as he got ready to drive. “Now where?”

“We’ll go to your father’s, I’ll ask for your hand, and we’ll get married wherever you want, but first, you have to know what you’re getting into.”

“Ut oh. What other surprises do you have up your sleeve?”

“No kids, and that’s not negotiable. I won’t have you at risk like that.” He paused waiting for my reply.

“Can I get a dog?”

“No. Maybe. We’ll see. Seriously Peach?” He seemed to catch up.

I laughed, “No kids. What else?”

“You can tell people I talk to you, but you still speak for me. Everything I say comes out wrong.”

“Done. What else?”

He looked suspicious, “Why are you being so compliant?”

“Because the sooner you put your cards on the table the sooner I can finish feeding you, and take a nap. You’re wearing me out Turner Colson.”

He pushed the fork into my mouth, “Eat, you skinny little vixen. Why do I get the feeling you’re playing me and not the other way around?”

I laughed, “Because you’re not a stupid man Mr. Colson.”

He gave me playful evil eye, “We need to get out of here before it becomes our honeymoon spot.”

“Did you mean what you said?”

“I usually do. We’ll go back.” He sobered a little and gave me a look that made me pause. “If you betray me, this is going to go very badly, for everybody.”

I sat up to take a minute. “We need to have this out before then.”

He sat back, “Go ahead.”

“I’m not trying to get you in trouble. I needed this break from my shitty job. I could have left you a long time ago. Seriously Turner, I might be a little intimidated by you, but I’m not afraid of you. If I want out, there’s nothing they can do to stop me.”

“Church wedding?”

“No, outside, with your family, and mine.”

He rolled his eyes and fell back, “Shit. I am domesticated.”

I grabbed his beard and pulled him back up a little too hard. His eyes have darkened. “No baby, you’ve been dominated.” I teased and started kissing his neck and chest.

Of course he fucked my brains out, but damn if it wasn’t worth it. I was able to call him off on a few visible bruises he might have left. I think we’ll work throughout this just fine.

12

Turner went from distant to clingy overnight. We decided to find a better campground and just hang out somewhere north of Flagstaff for a while until my bruises healed.

He was more careful this morning when he woke me up for sex. I’m not a morning person, so this will also take some getting used to.

He’s searching the internet while I cook breakfast. “We could go up to the Grand Canyon.”

“I’ve seen it a hundred times. Every time somebody came in from out of town that’s where they wanted to go. I finally started handing them my car keys and a map.” I sat across from him setting two plates down.

He closed the laptop, “Come with me.” He stood taking the plates.

“What?”

He sat in the large recliner style chair, “Sit. I see I’m going to have to go over these rules with you again.” He teased.

I sat on his thigh taking the plate he didn’t set down. “You just like bossing me around.”

“True. I like it better when you feed me. I don’t eat as fast.”

“I don’t mind feeding you in private, but not around other people.”

He shrugged, “We’ll see.” He took my shirt off ignoring the plate in my hands. “That’s better.”

“I almost dropped the food.” I scolded him.

He took the plate and set it down. “I’m not hungry anyway.” He lifted me up for a mouthful of something else he decided he’d rather have.

I put my hands on his shoulders, “We’re not going to get anywhere at this rate.”

He shrugged as his beard continued it’s travels. I love the way it feels against my skin, almost too rough, but not. Like a good scratching.

He set me up on my feet, “Take the rest off. I want a better look at you, see what I’ve done.”

“That’s a bad idea.” I kicked out of my sweatpants anyway.

“Turn around slowly.”

I did.

He sighed, “Shit. That’s too much. I’ve never done this kind of damage before, not this random. I’m hurting you and I don’t even know it, much less enjoy it.”

I pulled my clothes back on, “Way to kill the mood.” I picked up the plates and half threw them in the sink.

“Why are you so pissed off all of a sudden?”

“Nothing. I’m going to take a shower.”

“I don’t think so, get back over here, and don’t bother ignoring me woman, I will come get you.”

“So come get me, and I’m not ignoring you.” I walked over to him anyway. “What?”

“You’re mad at me?”

“No, I’m just in bad mood suddenly. Can I go take a shower, Sir?” That last word rolled off with more disdain than I meant.

“Yes.” He waved me off resigning to the fact that he wasn’t getting anywhere.

A couple minutes later he stepped into the bathroom while I washed. “Slider is going to find out, if Lou hasn’t told him already.”

“I don’t know what you want me to do Turner. The bruises didn’t make themselves. Maybe it’s time you dealt with this. A few bruises here and there won’t be a big deal, but if he takes a closer look you’re right, he’ll bury you.”

“I’d let him.”

“I won’t.” I slammed the water off. “You’re running from him. If he already knows, then you’re making it worse by hiding up here. Face him, talk to him.”

He handed me a towel, “Marry me first.”

I rolled my eyes, “You and this marriage crap.”

“Peach.” He said my name in a warning tone that had me looking up.

“No. Deal with this first, and my father. Do those two things, and I’ll marry you.”

“This is not negotiable.” He backed me to the bed.

“Then I guess we’re about to have our first real fight.” I declared and sat back on the bed picking up a pillow.

“If you hit me with that’s just going to piss me off.”

“Sit. I’m not going to beat you with anything, yet. I really need you to do this for me, for us. I want you to trust me, like a man should trust his wife. A marriage certificate doesn’t prove that.”

“Do you trust me?” He challenged as he sat facing me.

“Surprisingly, yes. I know you love me, and I trust you to make the right choice for my benefit, like here. Let me talk to Slider.”

“He won’t speak to you.”

“He won’t?”

“No.” He sighed and picked his phone up off the nightstand. “Call Salina. Tell her to text you back a date and time I can meet with him.”

“Really? Are you sure?”

“I got a text from Joe, Slider already knows, and he’s pissed.” He leaned into me with the phone in his hand. “Don’t fuck this up. If I lose you because of this, I’ll never forgive you.”

I swallowed, “You’re that scared?”

“Yes.” He sat back up, “Make the call. Don’t get dressed. When you’re done I’m going to spend a long time with that body before it’s taken away from me.” He didn’t sound happy as he left the room.

I took a deep breath and called Salina.

She answered on the third ring, “Turner?”

“Close, it’s Georgia.”

“Oh! Hey honey! Where are you??” She sounded like she just sat down for nice long chat.

“Not far. Turner wants to meet with Slider privately. Can you arrange it for him and text me the time and day?”

“What’s this about?”

“It’s private between them, sorry.” I guess she hasn’t heard.

“Ah, great. These things never bode well. Alright, I’ll talk to him.”

“Thanks.”

“You’re welcome. I expect to see you this time Miss Pine. I believe you owe me a beer for this.” She scolded.

“I’ll do my best, but the guys need to deal with this first. I’d explain, but I can’t.”

“I understand. See you soon.” She hung up. We’ve been friends long enough the formalities aren’t unnecessary.

I started to get up to put some clothes on as Turner reappeared. “What do you think you’re doing?”

“I thought you left.”

“Uh-uh.” He pointed to the bed, “Get your beautiful little ass back on that bed.”

I laughed and went back to hide behind a pillow. “Salina said she’d talk to Slider.”

“Good.” He kicked out of his jeans and boxers. Since he hadn’t bothered with a shirt earlier he’s naked and crawling towards me. “Are you hiding from me?”

“Maybe. I can’t tell what mood you’re in.”

“Not a very good one, but I plan to change that.” He reached under the pillow and pulled my foot out from under me. “I’ve decided I’m going to have to find another way to punish you my love.”

I laughed seeing his eyes darken now, “And what have you decided is appropriate, Sir?”

He shifted and slid me down where he could lay down alongside me. His fingertips tickled as he made invisible roads on my body. “New rules. The first one, when I tell you it’s time for your punishment I want you naked and on your knees. Your submission will have to suffice since I won’t be able to sate my need to mark you.”

“I’m not sure how I feel about that, but I can see where your going.”

“Rule number two, you don’t leave my side, ever. Slider will have to kill me to separate us.”

“That’s a little extreme.”

“Number three, don’t ever take that ring off. Marriage or not, you are my wife. You’ll speak for me as such. Any questions?”

“Yeah, back to number one. Really?”

“I think you need practice my love.” He pulled me to my feet. “Down you go.” He let go of my hand. “Look at the floor.” He guided me down, “Like this. Always like this.”

I nodded. I guess this is better than a spanking. Both are humiliating. This might do for a while as he makes some drastic personal changes, but I don’t see this lasting for long.

“Good.” He lifted my chin, “No more shooting back at bad guys. No talking back and arguing with me in front of other people, or in general, but I’ll make exceptions in private. Do what I tell you and this will be the extent of your punishments.”

“This is quite the change for you.”

“For me, what?”

“I thought we were dropping the ‘Sir’s.”

“Not when you’re on your knees for me. When you’re submitting to me you will address me as Sir.”

“I guess that’s better than Master.”

“Don’t push it, I miss that. Stand up.” He helped me up. “That will do for now my love. You can get dressed.” He handed me his phone. “Time to go, Salina sent a text saying Slider wants to see me right away.”

I looked down, “Great. Here we go.”

“This is what you wanted Peach, just remember, I’m not losing you.” He warned before leaving me to go drive. Maybe I should drive, he looks mad. No, I need to think.
