His touch ignited the
feeling of arousal but his words were unsolicited. It appeared that her body was
betraying her even though in her mind she knew she only wanted Vlad. Yes,
Keyaan
was an attractive man but she didn't feel that way
about him or view him in that light.

"What are you
doing?" Maybe she could reason with him. Make him see that there had been
a misunderstanding somewhere along the way. "Let's talk about this."

He pushed her body
further into the cupboard door and used his legs to spread hers apart, paying
no mind to anything she had said. His breaths were hot and shallow against her
skin and he continued to grind his erection against her. Her heart was beating
so fast she thought she would pass out. Even if she cried out for help, she was
sure that no one would intervene on her behalf. This was going to happen
whether she fought against it or not. "Just give in to me. I will give you
pleasure beyond your wildest imagination." She shook her head in the
negative, failing to believe the level of delusion the man laboured under.

She blamed herself
for what was happening, if she hadn't lost her mind then he wouldn't be here
taking such liberties. "Please," she begged.

"Yes. I want you
to beg for me."

"No. I mean
please, don't do this."

His fingers stopped
the assault on her nipples and traced her sternum as they headed south and
settled between her legs. He rubbed at her clitoris and inserted two fingers
into her core, "How can I stop when you're already so wet for me."

"No!"

"You don't
believe me?" he withdrew his fingers and placed the wet digits on her
lips. "Why must you lie?"

"You can have
anyone you want, why me? I don't want to be with you!"

"Trust me I've
tried, however, you… you keep haunting me" He wanted her, all of her. When
Val tried to bring her legs together to stop the intrusion,
Keyaan
halted the action by adding pressure to her already flattened body that was
pressed against the cupboard door. Val's futile efforts at escape were no match
for the advantage his height and weight provided him. His fingers returned to
massaging her core and pinched at her clit. Val bit her lip, in an effort to
hold back a moan. "I can make this good for the both of us."

After numerous,
silent, ceaseless prayers that he would stop after gaining enough pleasure from
feeling her in every which way, he stopped his ministrations and Val let out a
sigh of relief. "You can pretend to fight me all you want, but I know the
truth." She heard the tab of his zipper being pulled down and in the next
instant he drove into her.

Val gasped at the
intrusion. She hadn't had sex in over a month and her tight channel that gave
protest was proof of that. He bore down on her with his body weight and rested
his head in the crook of her neck as he drove himself into her.

His strokes were slow
and deep, a display that this would only end when he was ready and not a moment
sooner. She dug her nails into the wooden door hoping he would finish soon. Her
body had been wound so tightly and worked so masterfully by the craft of his
hands, that the rush of her climax coursed through her rapidly and she cried
out. He followed shortly afterwards with his hot cum drenching her walls. When
he was done, he picked up his head to kiss her cheek. "You are never going
back, Valerie. You are
mine
now." With that he
pulled out, tucked his waning erection into his pants and left.

Valerie was in a
state of shock. All she could do was lay
herself
on
the bed and replay the events of the last few hours.
Keyaan
had forced himself on her but... I orgasmed which means I liked it. I may have
said I didn't want it but then why did I come? She felt dirty all over again
but the overwhelming emotion at the top of her list was red, hot shame. Any
tears that would be shed now had been wasted two hours ago. She felt numb
trying to figure out how things had spiralled out of control so quickly.

Keyaan
left the room feeling triumphant. As much as she had denied him in the
beginning she enjoyed it as much, if not more than he did. The phantom tremors
of her walls ignited his desire for her all over again. A few feet down the
hall he stopped and backtracked. When he stood in front of Moe, he spoke in a
deadly tone. "I understand Valerie was in distress earlier, which is why I
will pardon you this time. Put your hands on her again and I will cut them off."
No one would come in between them. He would make sure of it.

A light stroking on
her face forced Val to open her eyes. She was surrounded by heat and bright
white surroundings. For the first few seconds, she didn't know where she was
but she had never felt as much comfort and peace as she did now. She tried to
move but her efforts were restricted by large male arms that imitated
galvanized steel.

"Morning
Grumpy."

"Morning,
my little captive."

"And why am I a
captive today?"

"Because
you pose a flight risk."

She lifted her cheek
from his chest to look up into his blue eyes. It appeared that he hadn't slept
at all the night before based on the strained red sclera. She wondered what was
on his mind. Everything was perfect between the two of them now. She felt
secure in their new found relationship and they had just moved into their new
home together. "Did you sleep at all?"

"Nope."

"Why
not?" she asked through her yawn.

Vlad had tried to
fall asleep after they made love yesterday. It was close to impossible when his
thoughts kept lingering on the woman he currently held in his arms and how
close he had come to losing her. It felt too good to be
true,
his fear was that this was all a dream. Months after his parents had abandoned
him he dreamt that they came back for him, only to wake the following morning
and find that he was still alone. He didn't want to wake up from this moment
with Val. Knowing that she had left him for good would devastate him.

"I was scared
that yesterday had all been a dream. That you agreeing to be mine
was
just a mirage."

Val heard the
sincerity and emotion in his words. They revealed that the indifferent asshole
he pretended to be to the world was actually just a regular guy who felt as
deeply as anyone. "Well I'm definitely real." she playfully nipped at
his chest to prove her point.

"And so is that
morning breath" he joked.

"You're quite
rude. Yours does not smell like secrets of the valley either!"

He flipped her onto
her back and moved over her to kiss her deeply. "I'm used to it by now"
he stated, as he trailed down her neck. "I really don't mind." He
kissed her shoulder and then the top of her breast. Looking up at her smugly he
asked, "Are you mad at me?"

"I should be.
Don't be so cocky to think that I'll forgive you at every turn."

He moved down her
stomach with a suggestive smile. "I can make you forget so there will be
nothing to forgive." He watched as her eyes drifted to a close in
anticipation of being kissed down there. Instead of giving her his famous
caresses, he blew raspberries into her navel. Val was so surprised by the
action that she screamed and jerked upright as she struggled to get away from
him.

Vlad backed off and
sat on his knees, looking down at her in astonishment. His woman had quite the
set of lungs and clearly hated to be tickled. At his questioning stare, Val's
cheeks heated in embarrassment. She loathed the feeling of being tickled
because of her mortifying response to it – now being a good case in point.
"I'm super sensitive" she gave in the way of explanation.

"Good to
know" he planned to use this little ammo on her, hopefully in the near
future.

Noting the wicked
gleam in Vlad's eyes, Val knew this would not be the last time. "Don't use
it against me."

"I would never
do anything to hurt my woman."

The answer was
ambiguous but also she loved the title he bestowed upon her. "Say that
again."

"I would never
do anything to hurt my woman?" he asked confusedly, wondering why he had
to repeat himself.

"Repeat the tail
end of the sentence in particular."

"Hurt my woman."

"Without
the verb."

Vlad rolled his eyes
at her antics when he understood what his recitals had been about. He fell back
on the bed, cradled her against his chest and kissed the crown of her head.
"My woman."
He said it for them both.

They enjoyed the
sunrise in each other's arms. Blissfully content from the third storey view
provided by their new home.

˜ζ˜

The memory brought
tears to her eyes. He had said he would never do anything to hurt her. How had
everything gone so horribly wrong? The juncture of her thighs was a sticky
reminder of what had happened earlier. She got cleaned up and dressed in one of
the few items that had escaped her slasher exploits.
Just don't think about
it and eventually you will forget that it ever happened.
She prayed Vlad
would never find out and if he did, she prayed he would forgive her.

Chapter Ten

Mike pulled through
for Vlad and he was at the point where money and thank
you's
would never be enough to express the gratitude
he felt for having a man of his talents in his corner. There was a taker on the
deal who would act as their agent from the inside. His resume was impressive –
a good track record in education, the army and highly respected among his peers
and superiors. He had given them the layout from the inside and the schedule of
every person that would be in the house today. They were not able to gather
enough men to launch a head-on attack. What Vlad did manage to do was acquire a
small team of highly trained operatives – a pilot and two snipers. As far as
Valerie was concerned, she hadn't been moved and no-one suspected his coming.
He knew where to hit and exactly how he was going to execute the ambush. They
would see him coming and they didn't stand a chance.

Andrei had been
assigned to take Vlad's place and meet the
Shaebi
representatives outside the town of Al
Hufūf
. He
had driven through Syria, across Jordan and through Saudi to the edge of the
Arabian Desert. All he could think of was having a cold shower to wash off the
sand and cool down his perspiration. If they were honourable in their dealings,
he would take Valerie after the exchange and drive into Ad
Dammãm
where he would meet the others. Vladimir and
Razvan
were waiting for word from him a few miles outside the compound, they would only
act based on the success or failure of the trade.

A Jeep pulled up to
where Andrei stood with the trucks that held
Shaebi's
artillery. All four men got out, including the driver.

"Gentlemen."
He wore a gracious smile, as he walked forward to meet them, slipping into the
charismatic persona he used in his business dealings.

"Who are
you?" The driver asked.

"That's not
important. I've shown you mine yet I don't see your side of the bargain.
Where's Valerie?"

"You get her
once we've secured the merchandise and accounted for everything that was on our
list."

Andrei laughed and
shook his head as if the man had said something he was having a hard time
believing. "Do I look stupid? I know this alluring mug of mine tends to throw
people off as they wonder whether I'm capable of stringing together an
intelligent thought." He was devilishly handsome, a gift he had used to
his advantage when the opportunity presented itself and a curse when he failed
to garner the respect he needed based solely on his outward appearance.
"Okay, answer this for me - where is the money?" He now stood face to
face with the driver who was also acting as the emissary, their noses mere
inches away from each other.

For what he was
worth, the man met the challenge head on. "We do business with The
Impaler
, you are not him. We can't give you the
money."

"I see." He
turned his head to the west where the sun was inching closer to the horizon. It
appeared that he was in deep thought, wondering how they would move forward.
After a lengthy silence, he turned to face the messenger and gave a megawatt
smile before grabbing the man by the collar, giving him a head-but and then
locking him into a chokehold. He pulled his 9mm pistol that was in the
waistband of his cargo pants and fired three shots at the remaining men while
using his captive as a human shield to absorb any of their attacks against him.
"I may be pretty, but I'm not stupid." With that, he fired a shot
through the last man's temple before letting his body drop into the sand.

His heart was
thumping a thunderous beat as he surveyed the dead bodies and processed what he
had just done. The opening to clean up this mess had presented itself but it
was very narrow in scope. He had managed to gun down four men in
under
five seconds. It was an epic record of Hussein Bolt
proportions. He took out his phone to relay the news to Vlad.

"You were right,
there was no exchange. It looks like they were setting us up for a con."

"Have you taken
care of it?"

"Shit! I took
care of it like you wouldn't believe.
One man up, four
soldiers down.
I'll let
Taras
know he can have
his stock back."

"Fucker will be
happy he didn't get his hands and name sullied."

They both smiled on
their respective ends of the line knowing that at least one disaster had been
avoided. "Are you sure you don't need me there?"

"Positive, just
get the trucks to Ad
Dammãm
,
Tatas
will have them picked up, then meet me at the airport in Riyadh. You've done
what you were supposed to do and I refuse to lose anyone today."

Vlad ended the call.
They were doing well but they weren't in the clear yet. "Okay
Raz
, it seems like we're putting plan B into action."
The two men put on their bulletproof vests and climbed into the Mil Mi-24, a
military chopper moulded after the American Bell UH-1. Behind them stood two
Russian mercenaries, each manning a 12.7mm
Yakushev-Borzov
.
After ten minutes of being in the air, the compound came into view and they got
ready. The soldiers were comically efficient as they picked off the men who
stood along the perimeter – each one fell over like a domino when the bullets
caught their mark. There were no longer any security left standing and the
pilot lowered the craft onto the vast space of the open lawn.

The mercenaries
switched their positions from behind the heavy machine guns and strapped the
AK12s across their backs, both standing on either side of the open helicopter
doors. More guards came out from inside the palace but they were quickly shot
down. He picked the radio off of one and tried to reach his informant. He would
speak Arabic, imitating the heavy Saudi accent to the best of his ability, to
limit their discovery for as long as possible.

"
Ana
esmi
8531.
Inta
samyi
ini
?"
He
waited as white noise echoed down the channel.
"8531,
8531
inta
samyi
ini
?"
At the continued lack of response, he
considered going in blind to retrieve Valerie. Thankfully, his call was
answered seconds before he gave up.

"8531,
1358
howi
tamam
."
Vlad let go of the breath he had been holding. She was safe and unharmed in the
same quarters she had been kept locked in. As intent as he was to see Val after
a month of forced separation, there was a more pressing matter that he had to
tend to. He could put his sentiments aside for a while longer to make
Keyaan
pay. No man, no matter who he was, fucked with The
Impaler
and what was his. Vlad dropped the radio and ran,
following the directions of the map he had memorized. There were only two
places the sheik would be in a time of crisis - his bedroom or his office.
Cowardly men hid in their bedrooms when they knew death was looking for them.
He had read the file on Sheik
Keyaan
Al
Asaad
Shaheeb
and it spoke of a
valiant leader. He took a chance and headed for the route that would lead him
to the office.

Fucking idiot!
Razvan
knew where Vlad was going and followed after him. He
was too close to this to act with a clear head. He would have to be his backup
– seeing how volatile Vladimir had been of late, he would have to cover both
their backs from the dangers that lurked within the palace walls. When he
caught up with him he tried to orchestrate a strategy before they got caught in
a shootout.

"What the fuck
are you doing?"

"Setting
the record straight."

"Are you trying
to get yourself killed?"

"No, I plan to
kill the fucker that has managed to put the lives of every single person I care
about on the line." It was true, Vlad's entire family was somehow involved
in this disaster of a situation and the weight of the danger he'd placed them
all in was crushing him now that he was so close to exacting vengeance.

"Okay, then let
us at least be strategic about this. I'll come in from the right passage and
you hold your position here. Wait for me before you start shooting." Vlad
nodded and looked past
Razvan
at the men who were
standing in the way of him and his target. "I fucking mean it." Their
eyes
met,
Vlad's ice blue to
Razvan's
deeper, darker shade that reminded him of the bottomless ocean. He would wait.
He wouldn't risk the life of his brother who would unquestionably put himself
in the line of fire to save him. He nodded his head in understanding – it was a
solemn vow that he would indeed wait.

The delay was
excruciating. He was so close yet so far from the man who had put him through a
hell Vlad had never imagined. The sound of
Razvan's
Baretta
92FS was a sweet symphony to his ears. Vlad
released the safety of the AK12, his top selling item, and fired two round
shots from around the corner, taking cover after each round. Soon, all the men
who had been in the hall were down.

"
Frate
?" he called.

"All clear"
Razvan
answered.

They stood outside
the closed door, wondering how many men were on the other side. Vlad knocked to
get their attention. "If you think of yourself as a real man, then come
out and face who you had the audacity to piss off."

"How do I know
that it's only you on the other side?"

"I'm a man of my
word and I can guarantee you that you've never heard otherwise. You, on the
other hand,
Keyaan
, have proved to be nothing but
treacherous. I got you your delivery within a fraction my usual time and you
have the gall to send the help without my woman or my money!"

"In case you end
up killing me, I want you to consider something. I'm the fucking sheik! You can't
kill me! If you do there will be consequences. You'll start a bloody war!"
Things were unravelling for
Keyaan
and fast. One
minute he was on a high when he thought about what he had shared with Val this
morning while plotting Vlad's demise and in the next he was hit with the sounds
of gunfire and his guards running through the halls. Right now, the only thing
that stood between him and death was Khalil.

"I also thought
of that my king" he spat. "There were some very desperate people I
offered a lot of money to, money they would never see in this lifetime. I may
also have sprinkled false evidence in your server. When I'm done here, this
will look like a rebel attack. Make no mistake, you will die, the question is
whether you will die a coward or with dignity?"

The walls were
closing in on him and he would have to quickly formulate a plan to get out of
this fix. If only he had a little more time. Hubris had him opening the door. He
hated being referred to as a coward. His father had raised him to shun the
characteristic in others and especially
himself
- it
only served to corrode a man from the inside out. He was a general and a
visionary with a cause etched onto his heart. He stared death in the face
numerous times, but each time it deemed him worthy of living. He resigned
himself to fate and met the challenge head on. "How do you want to do
this?"

"Hand to hand
combat."
Keyaan
had demonstrated fortitude in
the face of the challenge he had given. For the first time since he'd learned
of the man who took Val away from him, he granted the sheik a speck of respect.
Any other man, a smart man, would have stayed behind the door until he came for
them personally.

Keyaan
assessed the opponent that stood before him. He had a couple of inches of
height over him and an extra fifty pounds on him. Vlad's blows would pack more
power than his but he was more agile without the added bulk. He went to his
desk, put down his gun, and unbuttoned his white shirt before taking it off,
remaining only in a white vest.

Vlad followed suit,
taking off the strap to his assault rifle and undoing the Velcro straps to ease
off the heavy bulletproof vest. Every time
Razvan
thought Vlad had hit a new level of lunacy, he managed to fling himself off a
different kind of psychotic cliff. He walked further into the office, stopping
where the lone security stood. He pointed the nozzle of his handgun in warning.
He was not to interfere unless he wished to end his life.

Vladimir and
Keyaan
stood in the middle of the office, watching each
other, waiting to see who would make the first move. Vlad waited in order to
evaluate his opponents fighting style.
Keyaan
had a
different tactic in mind.

"I honestly
think Valerie could have done so much better. The first time I saw her, I
speculated over what kind of woman had captured the attention of The
Impaler
. Now, after getting to know her so intimately, my
thoughts are on what it is she sees in you." Vlad charged at him with uncontrolled
rage splashed across his face. He saw it coming and swerved to the left, ducked
down to deliver a left and right blow to his rib cage and moved back, out of
his opponent's reach.
