“Oh, right, right. Of course, it is.” She glanced at the safe and pulled out a bunch of magazines and bullets, studying them. “Some of these are bound to be right.” She shrugged and walked over to the bag on the floor, tossing them all in. “Almost ready, then?”
“Are you sure you should be holding that?” I asked
,
looking down at the gun she was clutching close to her body. “I’m not really sure you know how to use it.” Not that I was an expert or anything but I had shot one before, I’d even killed a man with one before. I wasn’t proud of it but at least, I didn’t aim somewhere only to let the bullet end up somewhere completely across the room.
Heather rolled her eyes. “Relax, everyone misses their first time, I’m not going to make that mistake again.” She shot me a reassuring grin then turned around and slammed the safe shut and replaced Cutter’s picture.
“Are you sure about this?” I asked, even unsure in the last seconds.
“Positive,” she assured me. “Now go to the car before the guard gets back.” She searched her pockets and then shoved her gun into one of them, allowing the top to stick out into the air. “I’ll take care of him.”
My eyes grew wide. “What are you going to do with him?”
She glanced at the gun. “I’m not going to kill him, Grace! I’m not my brother!” She shook her head and stood up straight. “I’m going to use my charm.”
“I’m sure that will work.”
“Ha-ha,” she said, opening the door to the hallway. “Go!”
I listened to her, stopping in the hallway to look at the closed door.
Cutter really wasn’t going to like this.
Chapter Four
CUTTER
The Green Grove clubhouse ran like a well-oiled machine.
A well-oiled machine that had to be taken down piece by piece.
It amazed me that we were able to get any kind of plan together in such a short amount of time, let alone a plan that would actually work.
We’d been in town for hours, prepping in a house on the other side of town we had rented. It was hard to find anywhere around here where we could lay low and not be spotted since it was run by Green Grove. The last thing we needed was a brother or an informant spotting us then running back to Stone and giving him a heads up that we were here.
The anticipation drove me crazy. I wanted to get in there. I wanted to wrap my hands around Stone’s throat and then deliver him on a platter to the leader of The Misfits. The thought of any man turning his back on his brothers then taking off to start a club of his own without the proper permission and protocol infuriated me. You took an oath when you joined the brotherhood and if you broke it then you were as good as dead to me anyway. As far as I was concerned whatever The Misfits had planned for Stone, he had coming to him anyway.
We parked a block away, making our way in and out of backyards as we moved in on their building. A vision we must have been, ten men dressed head to toe in black, weapons held tightly at our sides. Although, I bet the people around there were used to seeing bikers striding in and out of their yards and business’s acting like they owned the place.
“Three men at the back,” Ace told Blaze and me as we moved. “Three at the front and a few more scattered along the sides.” He reached in his leather vest and pulled out another piece. “Skin and I will cover the back if Blaze and you want to take the front?”
I nodded, clutching my hands back and forth over the handle of my gun. I felt so anxious, so ready. Nothing else mattered in this moment, not my father, not my little sister, not even Grace. This was a part of me that none of them could touch, a dangerous part meant only for my brothers and me. The feeling was a high I craved for all the time.
The only other thing that came close was my sweet Grace
;
her sweet cunt. I pushed the thought out of my mind, determined to stay focused. I could jerk off to the thought later and then get home and have the real thing for breakfast.
“We will meet you around back when we’re done. Make sure you use your silencer,” Blaze reminded Ace. “We don’t want to tip off the crew inside that a blood bath is coming their way.”
Ace nodded. “Stay safe, brothers.”
I glanced at him and nodded, deciding in that moment to fully forgive him for whatever had happened that night he brought Grace back to the warehouse. I still didn’t like it but I respected Ace and I believed that he was just being what he thought was a loyal brother.
Of course, if he ever touched her again I’d put a bullet in his head.
“What about me?” Shutter called out way too loudly, pushing himself to the front of the group. “Where am I going to be? Will I be with you, Ace? Or should I go ahead and scope the place out? You know, get a feel for exactly where we should be set up?”
Ace shot me a look, begging me to not make him watch Shutter again. I sighed. “Would you lower your voice, Shutter? Are you trying to let anyone in a three-mile radius know that we’re coming?”
Shutter looked down at the ground and stumbled a few feet over the wet grass. “Sorry.” He readjusted himself, holding the gun we’d given him closer to his body.
I’d taken him out back of the rental house and showed him how to let off a few rounds. He wasn’t a bad shot, exactly. But he wasn’t exactly a good shot, either.
“You’re with us,” I told him.
I heard Ace let out a sigh of relief next to us. It was only fair, I’d been the one to bring him along; I should be the one who was in charge of keeping an eye on him.
Shutter let out a satisfied squeal. “Great, Mr. President, just great.” He leaped ahead of us a few yards. “I won’t let you down, I really won’t, you’ll see.” He turned to Ace and started yapping to him in a low voice, talking his ear off.
He had started calling me president even thought the title wasn’t officially mine yet. He said it didn’t matter, in his mind I was already his president and always would be.
Blaze huffed like a child next to me. “Really? You’re sticking him with us? We’re bound to get the most bloody!” He shook his head. “Something tells me he isn’t going to be able to handle it.”
“He’s my responsibility.”
Blaze looked after him. “Yeah, well, I just hope you’re prepared to deal with the consequences if anything happens to him tonight. I’m going to do my best to have his back but…” he trailed off.
“What?” I glanced at him.
“Nothing.”
“What?” I pushed him hard. “Tell me.”
His body swayed to the side off my impact and he laughed, pulling himself back toward me. “Nothing, it’s just… of course, I’ll look out for him but you’re my first priority, Cutter.” He looked away, not wanting to show too much emotion and for Blaze, saying something like that, was considered mushy and sappy. I knew it must have been hard for him.
And although it was a nice gesture, it was un-needed.
I knew where Blaze’s loyalties resided.
“The feeling is mutual.” I glanced at him then looked ahead as well.
He wasn’t the only one who had trouble getting shit like that out.
But if anyone deserved it, it was Blaze.
We were silent the rest of the walk, each of us lost in our own thoughts. Mine, I confess, were mostly about Grace and my little sister. What was each of them doing right now? Grace was probably home, worried sick about me while she tried to distract herself keeping busy. And Heather? Heather was probably cursing me silently in her room, mad at me for hurting her little boyfriend. She had no idea where I was or that I was about to walk into a dangerous situation, she was so naïve when it came to me and dad. That was just the way I liked it. The two most important women in my life were safe and sound and that was all that really mattered.
We hit the clearing and split up, none of us needed to say anything. We already knew what was good; we knew this was our duty. If anything went wrong it was what we’d signed up for. Dying for the brotherhood wasn’t a curse, it was an honor.
Blaze and I hit the front first. The guards looked less than impressed by their surroundings, standing close together and bullshitting. I had paid someone at the security office off, causing him to hack into their cameras and replay footage from last night on the monitors. There was no reason for them to be on high alert because they hadn’t seen anything out of the ordinary inside.
We paused yards away, taking a few seconds to set up the perfect shot.
I didn’t feel the least bit bad about taking these guys out. That was the price you paid in war. Of course, it helped that most of them were pieces of shit. The three guys in front of me I knew for a fact had been brought in on rape charges more than once. Of course, nothing ever stuck. The women had a tendency to go missing or drop the charges at the last minute. I knew my men weren’t perfect, but my father and me did have some rules, some standards.
I let the first shot off quick, not wanting to miss an opportunity. It landed right in the center of his eyes and he went down with a loud thump. I’d hit the kill shot spot on and a second later; Blaze does the same to his two friends. We wasted no time getting out of there, wandering over their bloody bodies and making our way toward the back of the building.
We passed a few more bodies as we rounded the back.
My men had done what they intended here.
Shutter was behind us, staying silent for once. He hadn’t had to shoot his gun yet and I wasn’t sure if he was just respecting what Blaze told him to do for once or if he was just so overwhelmed by the situation that he wasn’t sure what he could say in a situation like this.
Everyone else was already waiting by the time we reached the back door. More dead bodies to add to the list rested on the ground in front of us. I reached past one of the guy’s blood stained hands and grabbed his keys off his belt, tossing them to Ace.
Ace jolted the door open fast and motioned for all of us to go inside. We filed in one by one, each breaking up in a different direction as soon as we burst through the doors. We all knew where we had to be and what our task was. Everyone besides Shutter, that was. I figured telling Shutter that Blaze and me were headed right for Stone’s room wasn’t the best idea.
Who had a bedroom inside of his warehouse with women on call just in case he wanted to get his dick dripping in some pussy while he conducted business? What a fucking douchebag, he should leave girls at home where they belong, not bring them into our world. It was supposed to be sacred.
We rounded the steps and inched up toward the third floor, relieved to find guards down at each post. My brother’s were on track, doing exactly what they were supposed to. With any luck we would be in Stone’s room and have him out to the car within minutes. Right about now a few of my brother’s should already be on their way back to the car and pull it around the front of the building.
Blaze paused outside the wooden door at the top of the landing. We could hear giggling and loud music from inside. Clearly, they weren’t expecting any company. I heard a girl’s voice moaning inside loudly, the headboard rocking back and forth loudly.
Blaze gagged silently.
I snorted. “On three.”
Blaze nodded. “One, two, three,” he mouthed.
I kicked in the door roughly and it swung against the wall hard. Blaze shot at the stereo right away, cutting the noise. There were three topless girls in the corner doing lines of coke off an expensive looking piano, they all ran out as soon as they saw us, screaming.
Shutter watched them go in awe.
A blonde was on the bed, bouncing up and down on top of Stone’s dick so fast that I thought her head might pop off. She tried to pull off fast when the bullet went off but a pair of strong hands held her in place, laughing. “Oh, come on, baby, don’t be scared of a little gun fire, go ahead and finish taking that dick like the little slut you are!”
The girl shook her head, crying out. “No, let me go! Please!”
He laughed louder but released her, letting her fall off his lap onto the expensive sheets. She scurried away like a rat escaping a trap, pulling one of the sheets with her to cover her body.
She looked at us, fearful. “Please, please let me go.”
Blaze sighed. “Fuck.”
“I’m not going to tell anyone, I swear, I’m not.”
I could hear the girl crying but I was barely paying attention, I was too busy staring at the man she had just climbed off. My chest felt like it was going to explode inside of my chest.
And that’s because he wasn’t Stone at all.
He was way too young.
“Don’t trust her,” the guy called out. He sat up in the oversized bed, completely naked. “You know how these club whores are, you can’t trust them for a second. She’s only loyal to me, aren’t you, my nasty little slut?”
She shook her head. “I’m not, I’m not.”
“Go,” Blaze snapped. “Before I change my mind.”
He didn’t have to tell her twice. “Thank you! Thank you!” The girl took off out of the room as fast as her chicken legs could carry her, crying so loudly that it stung my ears.
“That was foolish,” the guy said, leaning back and crossing one leg over the other, barely covering his still hard cock. “She’s probably going to run to the first phone she sees and notify anyone she can.”
“Who the
fuck are
you?” I snapped.
The guy made a move to sit up and I shook my gun in his face. “Don’t you fucking move another muscle! I swear to god if you do I’ll shoot you right in the head.” I glanced at Blaze. “What the fuck is going on?”
Blaze looked just as confused as I did. “I don’t… this is Stone’s room.”
All the blueprints and inside Intel had told us just that, that this was where he spent his nights before a big delivery and tomorrow was just that. So who the fuck was this guy in the president of Green Grove’s bed?
“Krusher,” Shutter mumbled from somewhere behind me. “Wow.”
The guy smirked. “At least, you have one brother who knows what the hell is going on.” He stood up slowly. “I’m going to put a robe on if that’s okay with you. If you want to go ahead and put a bullet in the head of Green Grove’s future president you go right ahead. Something tells me my father didn’t want to give the throne up much anyway.” He winked at me and got up, grabbing a robe off the end of the bed frame.
It was red and satin.
Can you say douche?
“You’re Stone’s son?” I asked, looking him up and down.
“In the flesh,” Krusher said, walking over to the table next to the bed and having a sip of the scotch sitting there. “And you must be Cutter and Blaze, the famous duo of Red Sin.” He drained the cup. “I’ve heard some pretty crazy stories about you two, so I suppose I should be flattered that you’re here looking for me.”
“You?” Blaze asked, shocked. “Where the fuck is your father?”
Shutter shoved me aside. “It is so nice to meet you, Krusher, I’ve just heard so much about you.” He looked him up and down slowly. “The girls at the club just talk about you all the time.”
Krusher looked on fondly. “Ah, yes, you guys do have some good pussy.”
I closed the distance between us, grabbing him by the edge of his robe and pushing him up against the wall. “Where the fuck is Stone, asshole?” I was done playing with him, done with the fucking small talk.
He lacked any type of fear. “We both know I’m not going to tell you guys where my father is. So, why don’t you just turn around and get the fuck out of here while you still have the chance?”
I slammed his head into the wall harder. “Listen here, you little piece of shit, don’t you tell me what I should or shouldn’t do. I’m the one calling the shots here in case you didn’t get the fucking memo.”
Blaze chuckled but Krusher still looked unimpressed.
“Don’t say I didn’t warn you,” he said with a grin. “And why don’t you keep your eyes up here,” he told me cockily. “I know you want to sneak a peek of my giant cock but I don’t really roll that way.”
