The published results indicate the following significant information for patients with severe HIV infections:
no drug resistance was developed;
the CD4+ count in infected HIV blood improved instead of continuing to fall;
the CD4/CD8 ratio increased and was thus improved.
Looking at number three above, see that a different alteration occurred: The sick patients’ P24 antigen, a highly significant measure of immunity read by infectious disease specialists, did not change in eight of the HIV patients; in two others, however, the same antigen became negative in one patient and stable in another. Thus we see a tendency toward normality by 50 percent.
