Colton pulled into a vacant
visitor parking place, then jumped out and lifted Morgan out of the
truck one last time. “No, don't be lookin' at me like that. I'm
not good with byes, so you can't be crying or anything,” he put
his finger under her chin and lifted up her head, then gave her a
sweet, long kiss. “Come on, let's get you inside,” he
nodded toward the airport, then went to the back of the truck to
retrieve her luggage. “And I suggest you don't take so much
with you everywhere!” he announced as he heaved her largest bag
over the side.

“Hey, I need everything
in those bags!” she defended herself jokingly, then took two of
her bags from his hands and followed him into the airport.

“You gonna be alright?”
He sat down next to her in the lobby for just a moment.

“Of course, thank you
again, Colton.” Morgan rested her head on his shoulder and took
his hand in hers.

“No problem, beautiful.
Oh!” He stood back up, then pulled a business card out of his
back pocket and handed it to her. “Believe it or not, I do
have
a phone, so if you ever need me or want to talk or whatever...”
Morgan took the card and nodded. “I'm in and out of Dallas a
lot, so I'll get back to you whenever I'm in a service zone.”
He also told her one more thing before their final goodbye. “I've
always believed that we meet people for a reason. I can't wait to
find out what our meeting meant.” They stared at one another
for several moments, before they had to part ways.

Morgan stood and gave him one
last hug, then another kiss. She told him that she also looked
forward to knowing what it meant, then watched him leave through the
double automatic doors.

“Thanks for reminding me
that being... me... can still be good enough.” She whispered
the words as she stared at the door that he had just left through,
and smiled at knowing how much easier it was getting to just have fun
with a client. However, her heart always held a tiny bit of each of
the men, and that would never be something that she could avoid.
Morgan sighed, then sat back down in her chair. “Time to try
Julianne again.”

She turned her phone back on
and called her boss before checking her text messages. Julianne
answered during the first ring. “Morgan? I've tried calling
you, Dear. What's going on, is something wrong?” Her concern
was sweet, even if it wasn't necessary.

“No, I left you a few
messages.... did you get them? I didn't have service and I waited
until the last minute to pick a client, and then Colton had to....”

“As long as you're
alright.” Julianne's voice went from concern to humor, and it
quickly calmed Morgan's nerves. “Alright, I take it you have
service now, so pick a client and I'll call you back.” Morgan
nodded and Julianne ended the call before she could agree.

“Why can't people just
say goodbye?” She smiled at the phone, Morgan had always had a
pet peeve about people not ending a call
properly
. “Alright,
let's see who we have today.” She opened her laptop and easily
signed on to the database. “Oh, now you're working.”
Morgan watched as the map appeared, and one area caught her
attention. There was one dot, all by itself, in Buenos Aires.
“Well, it's warm in Argentina.... and that is a great thing.”
Being surrounded by blistering winds and several feet of snow held
zero appeal to her right then.

Weather aside, when she saw
that one dot by itself, it seemed.... lonely. “A lonely dot, I
seriously have issues.” She laughed as she clicked it, and
thought about how she would explain her decision to Angel.
But..
it was a lonely dot!
When the picture of the man loaded, she no
longer had to worry about explaining anything. “Oh... well
hello my lonely little dot.”

Diego Torres stared back
at Morgan, his wide smile and dark skin drawing her face closer to
the screen.
A little under six feet.... long black hair... lean
body...and a smile that could charm the pants off....
Morgan's
phone rang in her hand, and she quickly clicked Diego's lonely dot
before answering. It was Julianne, who had informed her that she had
to step out soon, and wondered if Morgan could pick a client quickly.

“I just did.” She
smiled at actually having one chance at doing something before
Julianne asked her to, not that it was a great achievement or
anything, but she'd take what she can get.

“Great! Diego Torres...
good choice. Hang on.” Morgan could hear her boss' nails
clicking against the keys of her computer, then Julianne told her
that a flight to Argentina would be leaving in two hours. Morgan
waited a bit longer to get the rest of the flight information, and
thanked her boss again for her patience.

She waited a few moments for
the itinerary to come up on her phone after they hung up, then made
her way to check in. Another twenty minutes later and she was in line
at a coffee shop, picking out something to hold her over. With her
choice made, she flipped her carry on bag over her shoulder and found
her way to the correct terminal. “Buenos Aires. Damn. Who would
have thought I'd get to go there in my lifetime?”

Morgan plopped down in a chair
in the corner, then brought her feet up to the chair next to her.
There was another hour and a half to wait for her flight, so she
might as well be comfortable. She set her bag on her stomach, then
pulled her cellphone out of its front pocket. Morgan didn't even
bother checking the texts, the first thing she wanted to do was call
her best friend.

“Alright Lollipop, tell
me all about the rodeo. Did he impale you with his horn?”
Morgan was in giggles instantly.

“Oh, Angel, everything
is
bigger in Texas!” She said her reply a little too loudly,
and by the way she'd said it, it was pretty clear what she was
referring to. Morgan smiled back at the nosy eavesdroppers who
quickly turned back around in their seats.

“How big?”

“Big. And, there were two
of them!” She should have selected her words a bit better.

“Wait! Motha' fucker had
two dicks?” Angel gasped loudly, covering his mouth when he
realized he'd also spoken too loud. She could also tell that her
friend had probably been drinking, judging by the sound of his voice.
In the background, Morgan heard PoPo mocking him loudly.
Two
dicks. Two dicks. Fucker had two dicks.

Morgan flipped her legs back
over the chair and to the ground, then buried her head in her lap to
stifle the laughter. “No, he didn't have two....” she
looked around quickly, then whispered the rest. “Dicks...he had
a brother. They were twins. Identical twins!” Angel's reply,
which was of course asking if she'd been impaled by both of the
bulls' horns, led Morgan to quickly explain everything. She told him
about their tricks and how she'd discovered their secret, then about
how she'd gotten them back. “It was so much fun!”

“I'm so glad you had fun
Boo Boo. You needed it,” he finally said after his own laughter
about the twins had subsided. He asked where she was headed, and even
though Angel was excited she'd at least be in South America, it was
still nowhere close to Brazil. “When are you going to come see
a bitch?”

“Oh!” At that
moment, Morgan knew exactly when she'd see her Angel. After a week in
Argentina, she'd be back on her period...that would be the perfect
time for visiting her friend. “Well, how does your schedule
look the week after this one?”

“If you're coming here,
I'm looking free as a fuckin' bird! Sticky Buns, I can't wait! We
have so much catching up to do! Speaking of that, what has my
Fin-lay-me-down be up to?” Morgan grimaced at the name. She'd
done her best to keep him in the back of her mind until she had her
jealousy under control.

“I...I don't know. I
haven't talked to him since I saw...”

“Skank 'n bob?”
Morgan laughed at the new nickname for Erika, then nodded into the
phone. When he didn't reply, she realized she hadn't spoken.

“Yeah. Not since I saw
her. I don't know why I'm...well, I don't know what I am. I feel
jealous, but...I'm not. I just don't know what to feel. Then there's
Michael who's so sweet, but then I think about Fin...then I'm mad
about Erika. It's crazy! I'm crazy!”

“Don't let that twat
waffle bring you down, Sticky! I think you need to call Finny-Fin,
tell him what the fuck is up!”

“Well, I do need to call
him. Eventua....oh, holy hell! You've got to be kidding me! Angel,
I'm going to call you back, there's another delay!” Morgan did
her own pet peeve and hung up the phone without waiting for a goodbye
and marched up to the front desk. “What's going on?” The
time had been pushed back two hours right before her eyes.

“Just some slight
mechanical issues. No need to...”

“Worry, got it.”
She turned around and went back to her seat, grabbed her bag, then
made her way out of the waiting area. “Just fuckin' great,”
she mumbled. “Oh, I think I need a Texas Tea...”

*****

“Angel! My sexy, sexy,
sexy friend!” Morgan heard her phone ring again in her ear and
realized she hadn't actually hit the answer button. “Let's try
this again,” she laughed and pushed the button. “Angel!”

“Boo...okay. I've got to
tell you something...” If Morgan wasn't so drunk from the two
Texas Teas she'd had in the previous hour, she would have recognized
the worry in his voice.

“Talk to me, tell me
things. Speak words at me.” She flicked her straw through the
air and put on a serious face, speaking like she was trying out for a
part in The Godfather.

“Morgan, I...I called
Finlay. I mean...I really called him and he answered. And I told him
things....lots of things. I told him off.”

Morgan laughed, still not
understanding the severity of the situation. “He's mad, Morgan.
Really motha fuckin' mad.”

“Well, that's just silly!
Why would Finny-fin....Fin-fin....be mad at you?” She grabbed
her bag and stood, but the bartender stopped her from walking away
because she had planned to take the tall glass of alcohol back to her
terminal with her. She sighed loudly, then sat back down. When the
bartender turned away, she gave him a bunch of dirty looks for
bursting her bubble.

“He ain't mad at me, Boo.
He's mad at you.”

Morgan
dropped her straw, finally understanding what had happened. “Me?”

Mad
at me?
“I'm sure Erika can help you work out that anger.”
Morgan crossed her arms and sunk further into her chair, propping her
knees up on the seat in front of her.

“I'm
sorry?” The woman beside her pulled out one of her ear buds,
then looked at Morgan questionably as if she'd spoken to her.

“Nothing...well,
can I ask you something?” Morgan brought her knees back down
and turned in her seat to face the woman she was sharing a row with
on the plane.

“Go
ahead,” she told Morgan, then pulled out her other ear bud to
give the young woman her attention.

“If
you liked a man, well, loved a man...and he loved you...”
Morgan looked down at her hands and wondered if she should even be
asking. She knew the answer to her question, but maybe hearing it
from an older, wiser, woman would help. The woman, who reminded her
very much of Julianne, nodded for Morgan to continue. “Well, I
told him he could date anyone he wanted, and he said the same to
me...but...he's...”

“He's
dating someone and you're jealous.” Morgan looked up at the
woman, wondering how everyone around her seemed to be a freakin' mind
reader.
He's not exactly dating. Just fucking. Same thing, right?
Morgan nodded, feeling even more guilty by hearing it out loud.
She didn't even know why she was talking to anyone about her
problems, but apparently, that's what she was good at. After all,
blabbering her problems to Angel was what had gotten her into the
mess. “Dear, I don't know you or your story, but I can tell you
care about this man. Tell him.”

Yep,
she definitely reminded Morgan of her boss. “He knows. He
definitely knows. And I know, I shouldn't be jealous, but I am. I am
and I'm so stupid!” The tears burned in her eyes. There was
only half an hour left of her flight, which had given her plenty of
time to sit there and think about the whole situation. Even after no
sleep, a few more alcoholic drinks, and deep consideration about her
life, she still couldn't explain why she felt so angry with the Scot.
He was mad at her? That wasn't right, she was the only one who was
supposed to be upset. At least, in her tipsy state, that's how she
felt.

The
woman told her again that she just needed to talk to him and work
things out. She didn't know Morgan's life, so she couldn't offer any
real advice, but she tried to be kind and console a young woman who
was obviously going through a difficult time. Morgan nodded again,
knowing she wouldn't receive any life changing information from the
woman, not that she'd expected to, but there was a ray of hope.
“Thank you. I'm sorry to bother you. I'm just...sorry.”
She gave the woman a weak smile, then turned back in her seat to face
the little television in front of her.
