If it’s not the sex then what is it then?”

It’s the companionship, the intimacy, the sensuality and the trust.  He really cares about me and we just fit.  He makes me feel like fine silk.”

Yeah, but Queen, Teddy treats you like gold.  There's nothing you want that he doesn't get for you. Hell, he even gave you a damn Plum Card. Do you know how many girlfriends get a damn Plum Card from there man? None!”

“
I know, but I still can't trust his ass to finally commit.  Every time I try I get hurt even more.  Jade, I'm sick of it.  Yes, Bear treats me like a queen.  And the sex is phenomenally mind blowing and fulfilling, but sometimes it's gritty and dirty and dark.  Not to mention he's never around. This east coast, west coast bullshit has gotten old.”

“
So, what's your point? You instigated all of this shit. You moved to Baltimore, so that you could have your freedom to creep with Logic. Yet you're still trying to hold Teddy to a higher standard. Queen I don’t get it.”

“
The point is that I want to feel treasured, not like treasure.”

“
Then talk to your man and tell him how you feel.  Give him a chance to get his shit right.”

“
I’ve talked to him and this is his final chance to get his shit right.  If the shit don't work this time then I'm out.”

“
Then wait for him to fuck up Queen.  For all you know he may have changed.  Hell, he spent a hell of a lot of money just to get here to be with you.  He's making an effort.”

“
You're right.  I owe him the opportunity to prove that he's changed.  But, I don't want to lose Christian in the process.”

“
Has he called you yet?”

“
Who Bear?  Yeah, but I didn't pick up.  He left me a message.  I really don't know what to say.”

“
Call him back.  You got to talk to him sooner or later.  If you avoid him he'll know that something is up.  So, call him back.”  Jade retrieves Queen’s phone from the counter of the kitchen island and hands it to her. 

Queen
takes the phone and redials Teddy. 

Teddy
answers. “Good morning Mye Queen.”

“
What's up Sugar Bear?”

“
If you don't know by now, you probably don't want it.”

“
Oh, you know I want it. When have I ever turned it down.”

“
Good cause I'm trying real hard to get it to you.  I told you I was coming.”

“
Yeah, I see.  Private jet, huh?”

“
Sometimes a man's got to do what his woman wants him to do.”

“
Show off.  How much did that set you back?”

“
You don't even want to know. Besides, that shit don't even matter. I'm here and that's all that really matters.” Teddy laughed.

“
I love you.  You know that, right?” Queen confessed.

“
Wouldn't be here if I didn't.  You happy now?”

“
I will be when I see you.”

“
Just name the place and the time and I'll be there.”

“
Shit is pretty chaotic right now.  I'm not sure if I'll even see you before the wedding.  And I don't know about you, but I'm not really down for a quickie at this point.”

“
Fuck that!  That shit ain't even on the menu.  I'm going to need some time to fulfill my duty to properly satisfy that booty.”  Teddy jokes. 

Dorian
looks in the rear view mirror at Christian who shakes his head, mumbles something beneath his breath, and then stares blankly out the window.

“
How much time you got?” Queen asked.

“
All the time you need.  I came to stay until we can get this thing back on track.”

“
So, pretty much you're out on Monday.”  Queen joked.

“
No not at all.  I have to be out by the following Monday, smart ass. Hey, we're on our way to get some breakfast.  Why don't you and Jade meet us at the restaurant?”

“
Sorry, breakfast is a no go.  Besides, we have to keep the Bride and the Groom apart until after the wedding.”

“
Damn I was looking forward to seeing you.  You got a room in the hotel, right?”

“
The Penthouse Suite will be ready and waiting.”

“
That's my girl.  See you soon.” 

“
See you soon. I love you.”

“
I love you more Mye Queen.”

Queen sighs and clicks the phone off. “I'm in trouble. The sound of his voice made my pussy purr.”

“
I can't believe you turned down breakfast, I'm hungry.” Jade complained.

“
Then order room service and get me something too.  You know it's bad luck to see the groom before the wedding.  And you know why.  Oh, by the way, did you invite White Chocolate and Chocolate Shake to the wedding, too?”

“
Oh, a bitch got jokes and shit.”

“
Yeah, a bitch still got lots of jokes.”

“
That’s not funny. You know I got a weakness for chocolate.”

“
Yeah I know.  Apparently, it's still between your legs.” Queen laughed.

“
Stop playing Queen.  That shit ain't funny.”

“
Oh yes it is.”

“
Whatever!  What do you want for breakfast?”

“
Anything except chocolate.” Queen laughed.

“
Oh yeah, that's right, you just had some Chocolate Love.  Didn't you?”

“
As a matter of fact I did and it was delicious.”  Queen reminisced as she strips off her top and heads for the shower.

Queen
anxiously awaits Christian’s arrival as she sits on a park bench in Her Sister of Mercy’s garden square. Her emotions are everywhere and she’s not quite sure what to expect. She watches Dr. Christian Love as he approaches her, unfortunately there’s not a lot of love in his face. His brow is wrinkled and his jaws are tight.

“
Ah shit! He’s pissed.” Queen murmured to herself. “Hey Christian.”

“
Hey... So, what's going on?

“
I don't know.  I just thought we should talk before the wedding. We didn’t exactly get a chance to talk before you left.”

“
Yeah, well we were a little busy. So, what do you want to talk about?”

“
You're not going to make this easy are you?” Queen mumbled.

“
What do you want me to say, Queen?  It's not easy for me either.”

“
Look about last night.  I just want you to know that what happened between us was not just a mercy screw.  I wanted you as much or maybe even more than you needed me.  And the only reason it happened is because I care about you.  If you had been Jon or one of those other fools you would have been shit out of luck.  I didn't expect for it to happen, but it did.  So now that Teddy’s here I don't know what to say or what to do.”

“
Try saying what you feel.”

“
Okay, I'm feeling you and I don't know what to do with that.  Hell, I don't know what I can do with that, especially since Bear showed up.”

“
Queen, you've known how I feel about you for a long time.  But now that we are here I need to know where this is going?  Hell, you're practically married to Teddy.”

“
I wouldn't exactly say that.  More like I'm practically married to you.  I spend more time with you than Bear.  Maybe I read a little more into the situation than what was actually there.”

“
Not really, you know I want you, but in a couple of hours you'll be back in Teddy's bed.  And I can't get with that shit, Queen.”

“
I understand.  But, Christian I didn't expect for Bear to show up this morning.  I thought we'd have a little more time to sort through things before I had to deal with him.

“
Unfortunately, you're out of time.  You've been skirting around this thing between me and you for months now.  I know he dogs you, but you're still with him.  There's a reason for that.  You either want me or you don't.”

“
So what are you saying?”

“
I'm saying if you don't know what you want to do at this point then I'd rather bounce before it gets too damn sticky. There's no need for him to find out about last night if this shit between us ain't going anywhere. Besides, I can't sit around and watch you with him, especially not after last night.  I told you that in the beginning. That’s just not me.”

“
I promised him another chance to make things right.  I owe him that chance.”

“
No, you owe us a chance.  What you owe Teddy is the truth about us.”

“
I can't tell him that right now. Especially not this weekend.”

“
Queen, I'm not going to let you park me in the friends forever zone.  I don't know how to be your friend anymore.  After what happened last night I know that I have to have all of you or nothing.  I want to be your man.  That's all that I've ever wanted since I met you. So let me know when that spot opens up.” Christian, frustrated stands up to leave.

“
So it's going to be like that.  It’s all or nothing? There’s no middle ground where we can meet until everything is sorted out?”

“
Basically, because I can't go back to the way we use to be. Not with your taste still in my mouth.”

“
Neither can I, but we have to figure out a way to work this through.”

“
Queen, I'm not going to let you ride the fence on this one, so don't even ask.  We made love last night.  That changed everything.  I can't creep with you behind Teddy's back. He's my best friend.  I need to know that you are all in or I'll have to back out. Because I'm not prepared to lose his friendship over some bullshit!”

“
Christian, I understand that you're upset, but I can't believe that you're giving up on me.”

“
I'm not giving up on you, Queen.  I'm just frustrated.  This shit has had me twisted up for awhile.  I can't sneak behind his back with you anymore.  If you want to be with me you got to let Teddy go.  And if you want Teddy then you have to cut me loose and leave me alone.”

“
But, can't you at least give me some time to figure things out?”

“
Queen, you've had months to figure out what you want.  And until now I've been patient.  But if you sleep with Teddy, this time then whatever is going on between us is over.”

“
You know that's not what I want, right?”

“
Then don't sleep with him. It’s as simple as that Queen.  Tonight you're either going home with him or you're leaving with me.  So you have until tonight to figure out what you want to do.”

“
Come on Christian, you know that it's not that easy.”

“
It is if you love me.”

“
Christian, that's not fair.  You know how I feel about you.  Don't leave like this.”

“
No Queen, I don't.  Enlighten me. Exactly how do you feel about me? Last night I told you that I was in love with you, but you didn’t say anything.”

“
Come here.”  Queen stands up and extends her arms for a hug from Christian.  He hesitates before he walks up to her and gives her a big hug.

“
Why am I so fuckin weak for you?”

“
I'm your kryptonite, remember.” 

Christian
smiles and kisses her on her forehead. “Okay, I'm going to give you some space and time.  But don't use it to fuck over me and don't make me wait too long.”

“
I promise not a moment longer than necessary.”

“
Queen, please don't sleep with him?”

“
See, now you're just sending mixed signals.”

“
I'm not sending mixed signals.  I thought I made it crystal clear.  I want you to roll that nigga out of my spot.  That's the only signal I'm sending.  Shit, park his ass in the best friends forever spot.” Christian laughs.  He squeezes her tight as if he is afraid to let her go. 

Queen
understands. She was asking a lot of Christian and offering very little more than herself in return. She hugs him tight and clings to him, as if he is her last chance at true happiness.

Dressed
in beautiful full length champagne gowns the bridesmaids file into the back entrance of the church one by one.  Queen brings up the rear, holding the tail of Jade's wedding gown.  Teddy has strategically positioned himself inside the entrance to surprise Queen as she enters.  Unaware of his ambush Queen walks right into him.  She looks up to see his big sexy grin and instantly loses her composure.

“
I've waited all day to see that smile and you're going to start crying.  Come here Mye Queen.  What are you crying for?” Teddy hugs Queen tight, lifting her body from the ground.  He kisses her hard and deep and swings her around like a rag doll.

“
I'm just glad to finally see you.  You look so good in this tuxedo.”  Queen managed to get out before Teddy kissed her full in the mouth again.

“
I missed you so damn much girl.  I hope this is a short ceremony, because I got to get you out of here.”

“
Mr. Davine, did you forget this is a church?  Now, let my Maid of Honor go.  I got a man waiting for me.” 

Teddy
momentarily loosens his grip on Queen to greet Jade with a gentle kiss on her cheek.  He immediately encircles Queen's waist from behind and draws her close. “Hello Jade.  You look absolutely breathtaking.  Dorian is a very lucky man.  And trust me, he'll wait for you as long as it takes.”

“
Bear, she’s right. I'd better go.  My makeup must be a hot mess and I have to keep Jade calm.”

“
You look absolutely beautiful.”  Teddy said as he wipes Queen’s eyes and gently kisses her lips. “I love you Mye Queen.”

“
I love you too.”  Queen responds as she wipes a trail of fresh tears from her cheeks. Teddy kisses her again just as she catches a glimpse of Christian looking on from a distance.  Their eyes connect briefly before he turns and walks away.

The
wedding is beautiful, yet short and sweet.  Teddy and Christian share the Best Man’s duty.  Queen appears anxious and unsettled and finds it difficult to make eye contact with either one of them.  Christian's eyes never leave her, not even once.  Try as he might he couldn't redirect his focus.  Teddy flirted with her shamelessly and remained completely oblivious to her uneasiness or Christian's total obsession with her. Somehow she managed to slip through by carefully avoiding contact with either of them.

“
Life would be so much easier and pleasurable if I could just invite them both to help me make a double decker Queen’s deluxe sandwich. Jade sure looked like she enjoyed hers.” Queen smiled briefly before remembering she was in the house of God. “Forgive me Lord but you shouldn’t have made those two men so damn fine.” 

Unfortunately
there was no getting around or away from the two of them after the wedding was over. It started with the ride to the reception. Teddy had pulled a little surprise and arranged for a super stretch Escalade with all the luxuries to provide some alone time for him and his Queen. He was determined to get some sticky icky before the reception. Queen was trapped and she knew it as she climbed in the limo which was equipped with a watered

“
Ah fuck!” She thought to herself. “Now what do I do?”

Fortunately
for her Christian was way ahead of Teddy and he wasn’t having it. “Hey hold up. I’m riding with you two. I know you don’t think you’re going to leave me with those sea monkeys.” He said as he climbed in the limo behind Teddy.

“
Oh no the fuck you’re not! Mommy and Daddy need some alone time. So you need to go play with the other monkeys, I mean kids. So run alone and play nice” Teddy dismissed him.

“
Nigga, go ahead and get the fuck in. What’s the problem? Hold up, what you’re trying to get some? Please don’t tell me that you expect this beautiful, sophisticated lady to lower herself by pleasuring you in the back of this limo with the driver catching a sneak peek on his monitor.” Christian scowled as he pushed his way in refusing to take no for an answer.

“
They have camera’s back here?” Teddy looked around puzzled.

“
Nigga, what do you think?” Christian laughed as he locked eyes on Queen.

“
Thanks Christian.” She mouthed without Teddy noticing.

He
discreetly nodded to let her know that it was okay. “So look let’s get this started by cracking this champagne and toasting to Jade and Dorian Swann.” He said as he began to uncork the bottle of champagne.

Teddy
makes eye contact with Queen and silently gestures, “What the fuck?” And then he mouths the words, “I’m so sorry.”

Queen
simply smiles and nods to indicate that it was fine. Her heart raced over a hundred times a minute as she suddenly became overwhelmed by the two magnificent men who had stolen her heart and simultaneously knotted her life up in a big old messy ass ball. She knew she couldn’t choose. They both were too spectacular in their own right for her to lose. Her eyes begin to leak tears as she quickly realized she was in jeopardy of losing them both.

Suddenly
the cork of the champagne bottle popped and champagne bubbled over as Teddy grabbed glasses and Christian poured. “To the Bride and Groom! May they experience and enjoy a love that most of us will only know in our wildest fantasies and sweetest dreams!” Christian proclaims

The
three clink glasses in jubilant celebration. “To the Bride and Groom” They yell in unison.
