Clovea natural anesthetic. Blend 1 drop with 2 tablespoons flaxseed oil; rub gently on sore gums.
Homeopathy
Belladonnafor red, swollen, throbbing gums; red face; glassy eyes; heat, but little sweat.
Calcarea carbonica
if baby has a lot of fat and sweats profusely, especially on the head.
Chamomillaif baby is irritable; demands something, then pushes it away; is temporarily relieved when held and rocked; may also have diarrhea or an earache. Don't give homeopathic chamomilla with chamomile tea or chamomile essential oil, as they will cancel each other out.
Silicaif baby is frail, delicate, often constipated.
Herbal Medicine
Licorice root powdermix 1/8 teaspoon powder with enough water to make a paste, and pat on baby's gums.

Rosemaryif your child is over five years of age, stimulating rosemary is the oil of choice for all muscular complaints: sprains, strains, fatigue, pain from overexertion.
Lavenderbest choice for children under five; lavender is a soothing, gentle relaxant.
Pepperminta circulatory stimulant like rosemary, peppermint also soothes due to its cooling effect. Dilute with vegetable oil.
Too Much Exercise Massage Oilcombine 5 drops each of lavender, rosemary, and peppermint in 2 tablespoons organic, cold-pressed vegetable oil. Massage sore areas. Store in refrigerator.

Arnica montana
first choice to prevent and reduce muscle aches from overexertion; if possible, begin taking 30 x potency prior to the activity. Take another dose every hour while awake for 24 hours if pain is still felt.
Rhus toxicodendron
if child feels achy at first, but better with continued motion.
Traumeel ointmenta combination remedy containing arnica,
Rhus tox,
plus several other helpful homeopathic medicines.
