Chapter 4

Gwen
tried to calm herself for a moment before slipping out her phone of her bag.
She dialed up her girlfriend and best friend, McKayla Harrison.

“Hello?”
McKayla’s voice carried through the phone.

“Mick,
you home?” Gwen questioned. She had already given the cab driver her address so
she hoped McKayla was home. She just had to get away from Cole. He was entirely
too confusing for her. He made her feel things that she didn’t expect. Then he
had kissed her and it took everything in her to not kiss him again. She never
had feelings like this for a man. She didn't think she was even capable of
having feelings for a man. “Can I come over?”

“Baby,
what’s going on? Yes, come over.” McKayla, always the best friend Gwen could
ever imagine always knew what she needed without Gwen even having to ask. They
had been friends for years and becoming more than friends had just sort of
happened. McKayla had been a lesbian for as long as she could remember but Gwen
hadn’t ever been in a serious relationship before and what she had with McKayla
just seemed right.

The
cab finally made its way through traffic to McKayla’s tiny apartment. Gwen paid
and quickly made her way up the stairs.

“Mick,
I’m here.” Gwen shut the door behind her and put her clutch on the small table
by the door.

“Baby,
how are you?” McKayla walked around the corner from the kitchen. She was a very
high paid stripper in an exclusive club called Queen of Hearts so she kept her
body tight. She dieted constantly and worked out every single day. Today over
her small perky breasts, she had a zip up front sports bra. A pair of low
riding tight black yoga capris showed off her flat stomach that barely had the
outline of a 6 pack. She had her long blonde hair pulled back into a high
ponytail. McKayla was a size 4 while Gwen was curvier, fitting into a size
10.  “I just got back from working out.”

“Mick…
I need a shower” Gwen started to walk around McKayla, but McKayla stepped in
front of her, stopping her. McKayla stepped close pressing her body flush
against Gwen’s, pulling her hips close.

“Need
some help relaxing?” McKayla’s dark blue eyes searched Gwen’s. Seeing what she
needed in their depths, she smashed her lips to Gwen’s.

Gwen’s hands slid up the soft skin of McKayla’s back, until one
hand was clutching the back of her neck, the other pressed to her lower back,
pulling her closer. Gwen slipped her tongue between McKayla's plush lips as
McKayla pressed one of her legs between Gwen’s, grinding her thigh against
Gwen’s pussy earning her a soft moan. Gwen slipped a hand down to grab
McKayla’s tight ass and pull her closer causing McKayla to groan.

“Let’s
get you in the shower.” McKayla said pulling back, breathing hard. She turned
to lead Gwen to the bathroom. McKayla turned the water on in the shower before
turning back to Gwen, who was standing just in front of the now closed bathroom
door. “Come here.”

Gwen
stepped closer and let McKayla slip off her little sweater before stepping out
of her shoes. Gwen rested her face in McKayla's neck, breathing in her scent
before whispering, "Help me forget."

McKayla
wrapped her arms around Gwen’s shoulders so their breasts were pressed together
as she reached for the zipper at the back of Gwen’s dress. “Mmm, with
pleasure.”

McKayla softly molded her lips to Gwen's while she pushed the
straps from Gwen’s shoulders, only their tightly pressed together bodies
keeping the dress from falling to the ground. McKayla tilted her head to take
the kiss deeper, letting their tongues wrestle, she gently massaged Gwen’s neck
with a hand before stepping back and letting the dress fall around Gwen’s
ankles. McKayla looked down to see Gwen was completely naked. Gwen's beautiful
full breasts with dark pink erect nipples were begging for attention and her
hairless pussy had been only covered by the dress. While McKayla loved the
view, she still asked, "Where are your panties? You never work without
them."

“I had a client get a little out of hand. Let’s just say my
underwear and bra didn't survive,” Gwen sighed stepping out of her embrace,
softly shaking her head before entering the shower.

“Ass." McKayla hissed. She asked, "You ok though?” as
she stripped and entered the shower behind Gwen. Gwen gave her a quick nod
before turning to let the water run through her hair. She hated what Gwen did
but it was a topic they’d gone round and round about. In the end, Gwen needed
to do what made her happy. Instead of starting a fight, McKayla grabbed the
shampoo from the shelf. She poured some in her hand and started to lather it
up, “Let me wash your hair.”

Gwen stepped out from under the water so McKayla could shampoo,
rinse and condition her hair. McKayla gave her a good head massage as she did
so. Their water slicked breasts rubbed against each other as she moved, making the
blood rushed through both their bodies and making Gwen moan from time to time.
After having Gwen lean her head back into the spray to rinse out the
conditioner, McKayla grabbed the body wash and told Gwen to turn around so she
could wash her body. McKayla pressed her breasts against Gwen’s back and pulled
her hips back so her ass was pressed flush against her before reaching her arms
around Gwen, trapping her arms to her sides. She rubbed suds over Gwen’s
shoulders as she ran her lips down the side of Gwen’s sensitive neck. McKayla's
hands slipped down over Gwen's large breasts, which she arched forward into
McKayla's palms with a groan.

“Look
at how beautiful these breasts are.” McKayla pinched both nipples as she
breathed in Gwen’s ear. Gwen felt a rush of heat between her thighs in response
as she leaned her head back, closing her eyes. “My God, you are so sexy.”

McKayla slipped her hands down over Gwen’s hips, all the suds
now long gone from water beating down from the shower. Gwen slid her hand back
between their bodies to find McKayla was just as hot and wet between her thighs
as Gwen knew her own pussy was. She slipped her finger through the
moisture she found there before sinking it as deep as she could, McKayla moaned
loudly and pulled back on Gwen’s hips, which just pressed Gwen’s ass against
her own hand that was slowly sliding in and out of McKayla. Gwen slipped
another finger in and started moving them a bit quicker.  She turned her
head so that she could kiss her over her shoulder. McKayla’s hand slid down between
her legs, while the other returned to pull on her nipple. She used her fingers
to circle Gwen’s clit tenderly. Gwen started bucking her hips against McKayla’s
fingers so she used more pressure knowing they were both getting close. McKayla
broke the kiss so she could breathe, her lungs working overtime as her body
overheated. Her knees locked, her nail raked over Gwen’s clit, her hand
squeezed hard on Gwen’s breast as a fierce orgasm rushed through her.
Gwen continued to gently pump her fingers in and out drawing out her pleasure.

Once
McKayla slightly recovered she shoved three fingers deep in Gwen as she bit
down on Gwen’s shoulder which instantly threw Gwen into her own orgasm.

Both
women stood holding each other panting as the water washed over them.

“I
swear you fuck me better than any man ever could.” McKayla murmured against her
neck, pressing a kiss there as she pulled her fingers from Gwen’s body. Gwen
turned around and pulled her into a hug placing a tender kiss on her lips.

“That’s cause most men don’t know what they are doing. I would
know.” Gwen stepped out of the shower before running a towel over her body. McKayla
quickly washed her own hair. "I know just what that sexy
little body needs."

Gwen
handed a dry towel to McKayla when she got out. Gwen quickly spread lotion over
her body then went to McKayla’s room to find new panties to wear.

“You
want to talk about it?” McKayla questioned leaning against the door to her room.
She had wrapped the towel around her body, knotting it securely under her arms.
This was their standard way of dealing with the nightmares that plagued them
from their history and their jobs. However, each kept the jobs they had because
it helped them chase those nightmares but every now and then it just all became
too much.

“It was a rough day at work. I had three clients today. Two were
regulars, but one was a new client. He was impatient, tore my panties and bra
off.  Five minutes later, he was spent. He wasn’t the violent type, just
over eager to finally get some, I’d guess.” Rolling her eyes, Gwen slipped on a
black lacy thong and lacy black demi bra. She went to the bathroom and picked
up her dress. Holding it up she noticed it was wrinkled badly from being on the
floor in the hot damp bathroom. She clenched her hand around it and rested both
fists on the counter, her head hanging down. "And then... Then I was
waiting for the subway tonight to head back to my apartment when Cole showed
up. We were talking, everything was fine then he said something about mostly
working and I kinda sorta flipped out. I practically yelled at him about
cherishing everything in the moment, how fast things change and you never know
when you are going to lose something. And when he said it sounded like I lost
something unexpectedly, all the old memories surfaced and I just had to get out
of there. As if that wasn't enough, he followed and asked me to get coffee just
so I could calm down before heading home to be alone. I haven't told him
anything about you, not yet anyway. And he actually helped me forget for a
while, even if he is a bit of a dominating untrusting jerk at times. He is rather
easy to talk to. Once I noticed we'd been there for a while, I got up to leave.
He escorted me outside and he gave me the gentlest sweetest kiss I think I've
ever had in my whole life. Which stupidly only brought all the nightmares back
to the forefront and reminded me just how much of life I missed out on."

"Did you enjoy it?" McKayla questioned, clasping
her hands behind her back. She didn't want to give away her uneasiness.

"No. Well, I suppose… Ugh, yes." Gwen ran her
free hand through her still wet hair as she let out a little frustrated groan.
"I'm so completely torn. I love you to the end of the world and back. I
can't have any feeling for someone else. Let alone a man."

"Sure you can. Just because in the past you've only
been around men that were undeserving of you, doesn't mean that you can't find
a man that could also make you happy. And baby, I am willing to try anything if
it will make you happy." McKayla ran her hands over Gwen's arms, pulling
her back into a hug. "I don’t know this man and I don't want you to get
hurt, but I do want you to be happy. If you need to explore a relationship with
a man, then I'm willing to give to give my support where I can."

Gwen leaned back into McKayla’s embrace. She was always
there for her in every way that she needed someone to support and help her.
Gwen didn’t know what she did in life to deserve to have the love of someone
like McKayla, but having McKayla in her life had been the only thing that had
saved her from letting her past take control of her.  She turned in McKayla’s
arms and pushed the hair off her shoulders before clasping her hands on either
side of McKayla’s neck. “I don’t think you know how much I love and appreciate
you.” Before McKayla could respond, Gwen held up her dress and said, "Well,
I guess this is a sign that I should just head home instead of going to watch
you at work. Which I guess is better since I have sketches to get to.”

Gwen sighed, one thing about wearing clothes that her
clients liked was that they tended to wrinkle easily and be hard to wash.

“If you end up getting bored in your lonely apartment, you know
where I’ll be all night.” McKayla slapped Gwen on the butt as she walked out of
the bathroom to her room.

“Just be sure to text me when you are on your break and when you
get home so I know everything is fine.” Gwen slid her dress on. She gave
McKayla a quick kiss before heading to the door. She called out before she
left, "I love you."

"Love you too." McKayla shouted back.

The next morning, Gwen slid into
her normal area of the subway car with her headphones already in. She sat with
a notebook in her lap reading over notes she had written when a now familiar
body sat two people down from her.

Cole reached out and tapped the
edge of her notebook hesitantly to get her attention as he leaned in front of
the two other people. Popping her ear buds out, Gwen gave a small smile saying,
“Good Morning.”

“Morning. What are you reading
there?” Cole tried to lean forward and see some of what she had hand written in
her notebook.  Sensing that she was in a good mood this morning and still
speaking to him.

“These would be my school notes. I
have an exam today.” Gwen wiggled her eyebrows at him. “Super exciting, I know”

“School? Really? What are you going
to school for?” Cole scooted closer now that the two people between them had moved
out of the way, whether because their stop was coming up or they were tired of
being talked around, he didn’t know or care.

“Fashion Design. It’s something
I’ve always wanted to do. I love using my hands to create something beautiful
and unique.” She slipped her notebook back into her bag.

“Can I see one?” Cole gestured
towards her bag. “You know, if you have any of your designs in there.”

Gwen laughed nervously, “Well, I
have many. But they are just things I’ve been doodling. Nothing that’s even
close to being a finished product or even meant for other eyes, but if you
really want to see one...” Looking into his eyes, she waited for an answer, she
wasn’t going to make him look at them if he really didn’t want to. But she saw
curiosity and intrigue in his eyes. So, she slipped a different notebook from
her bag. This one was black and the cover showed wear. It was obvious the book had
been used quite often. Flipping through a few pages, tilting the book so he
couldn’t see yet, she stopped on a page, tilted her head a bit, decided against
showing him that picture then flipped through a few more pages before finding
one she thought was good enough to share, even though it was rough. “Here, I’m
not too embarrassed to show this one, I guess”

Cole scooted close enough that his
broad shoulder touched her bare shoulder and his thigh was pressed against the
side of hers. He leaned forward slightly to get a good look at it. The outfit
on the page was in black pencil. It was a woman drawn wearing an intricate
weaving of ribbons to make up a dress. The ribbons started wrapped around her
neck then separated to each side wrapping over each of her breasts and back
behind to come back around crossing around the lower ribcage. Wrapping back
around behind to reappear low on the woman’s waist to form to top of the skirt,
which appeared to be a bunch of loose ribbons flowing downward to fall all the
way to the floor, both legs of the woman visible to very high up the thigh, but
ribbons weaved tight enough at the waist to keep her modest.

“Wow, this is really good. You drew
this?” Cole asked as his fingers traced parts of the design as he drew his eyes
over it. He didn’t want to smear the pencil with his fingers so he didn’t
actually touch the design.

“Yes, just something I doodled up.
I mostly do gowns.” Gwen blushed slightly. She didn’t show many people her work.
She had just begun school and still had much to learn. As soon as Cole drew his
hand back from her page, never once actually touching the pencil drawing, she
closed the notebook and crossed her arms on top of the cover.

“Have you been doing it long?” Cole
asked.

“For a few years. It was sort of a
hobby I just started doing. One day picked up a pencil and started drawing.
Sounds silly but it was like I just had to get this image in my mind down on
paper. It wasn’t very good. But I just kept working at it and before long I had
a stack of images. I guess that’s when I figured out that unintentionally I’d
figured out what I wanted to do with my life.” Gwen shrugged and sent a half
smile at him. “Do you draw?”

“I don’t but I have an appreciation
for those that can.” Cole used the back of his fingers to push a strand of hair
back off her face that had come loose from her braid. Gwen was startled by the
contact but found she enjoyed the way the skin on his fingers had just barely
brushed against her cheek. “Do you draw anything else or just clothing designs?”

“Just designs. I tried to draw a
portrait once. It turned out horrible. It looked a bit like a Picasso only not
half as good.” Gwen made a face and Cole laughed. She enjoyed hearing the deep
rumble from his chest at the unexpected laugh that had escaped. She smiled back
at him, she couldn’t help it. “So now I just stick to dresses. Sometimes I’ll
do something crazy like draw up some shorts or a swimsuit. I guess I can only
draw the things I see in my head not what I see with my eyes.” She laughed at
herself. “If that doesn’t make me sound nutty, I don’t know what does.”

“I get it. Makes total sense to me.
It’s an artist thing.” Cole softly smiled at her. “So, what school do you go
to?”

“I go to the Fashion Institute of
Technology. I just started there this year. I’m the old lady of the class at 27,
but it took me a while to figure out exactly what to do with my life. ” Gwen noticed
that Cole hadn’t moved away from her after viewing her pictures. They were
still touched shoulder to knee as they sat next to each other, looking into
each other’s eyes.  Sitting this close, touching this man, looking into his
eyes, did things to her body she wasn’t willing to admit. She forced herself to
look away from those eyes, but she couldn’t make her body pull away from his.

“Oh yeah, the old lady at 27? I
would hate to hear what you’d say about me then.” Cole let out a laugh, running
his hand through his short hair.

“So, Mr. Cressley, just how old are
you?” Gwen raised an eyebrow at him. She glanced up to see her stop was quickly
approaching.

“32.” Cole answered as she stood.  Gwen
slipped her notebook back in her bag and started to back away.

As she made her way towards the
door, she smiled broadly and scrunched up her nose while saying, “Oh yes, you
are oh so very old.”

The last thing Cole heard was her
laughter as she disappeared into the crowd.
