Excited voices floated towards him as
numerous patrons burst out of the bar.  Andy opened his eyes to narrowed slits watching them leave.

Terri and Mal walked past him, Terri bid him good night a sweet smile on her face.  Mal huffed and pulled her closer to him, awkwardly planting a kiss on her as they walked.
A few other pack members filtered out, each gossiping about the scene with their Beta.  They were quickly followed by Luke and Mac.

Mac paused when she saw Andy.

“You coming?”  Asked Luke her.

“I’ll catch up.”  Mac watched him waiting for him to leave.
She inwardly groaned when he didn’t
.

Andy stood as still as a statue as Luke looked between him and Mac.
Mac, in spite of herself, had a little bit of a guilty expression on her face.

She made herself smile and reasoned with Luke.  “We came in separate cars anyway, I’ll meet up with you at the clearing.”

Luke frowned slightly.  “Okay well... don’t be too long.”  He looked at Andy with a hint of suspicion before sauntering away.

Mac held herself still until Luke had driven away.  She turned to Andy
shrugging awkwardly.  “We’re just going hunting that’s all.”  She explained.
Not that she had to explain anything to him...

Andy’s face was stony.  “Unh hunh.”

“What does that mean, ‘unh hunh’?”  She asked peevishly.

He breathed in through his teeth.  “Nothing at all.  Why would it bother me that my mate’
s going to allow another male to see her naked, another male who clearly wants to get into her pants?”  His voice was laced with sarcasm.

She looked at him incredulously.  “Wow!  Really?  You’re really going to give me crap about being friends with Luke when you are
married
?  Married Andy!”

He fidgeted a little uncomfortably.
Alright so from her perspective he was behaving like a hypocritical ass, but he did have a good reason... and it didn’t change the fact that he didn’t trust Luke as far as he could spit.
His bear howled gruffly at even the thought of the male wolf.

Being with his mate had been amazing, the greatest experience of his life.  But it didn’t change the fact that he had made a promise to Esther.  He just hoped that the situation would
be resolved soon so he would be free to openly pursue Mac.

His Mac.  His mate.
His sweet Delilah...

He had thought it would be a little easier than this.  He had of course reckoned without the interference
of another male vying for her affections.  Kim had disclosed that Luke was Mac’s old boyfriend.
There was a little bit of history there... although surely that wouldn’t compare with him being her mate?

He wondered if Mac had told Luke about finding her mate?

“I’m sorry.”  He offered lamely.

She softened a little.
“What happened was...”
Incredible?  Wonderful?  The best night of her life
?  “A mistake.”
Her wolf yapped in annoyance at that.

Andy tensed.
She couldn’t really believe that could she?

We shouldn’t have been together, I don’t want to forcefully break up your marriage.  I hate that I’ve become the kind of person to ruin a happy home...”

Tears welled up in her eyes.
Andy moved towards her but she flinched and took a step back from him.  The bear whimpered mournfully.
His mate didn’t even want him to touch her
.

Point blank she asked, “do you have any intention of leaving your wife to be with me?”  She was half
hopeful and half fearful of the answer.

He licked his lips and swallowed.  “It’s complicated...”

“Yes, you already said that.”  She sighed sorrowfully.  “The only way we can be together if is you’re free.  I do want to be with you but... I won’t wait for you forever.”

She
sniffled and looked at him, an expectant look on her face.
Her wolf whimpered, their mate didn’t love them, their mate didn’t want them, their mate wanted to be with someone else...

He said nothing, his heart was torn at the hurt he was causing his mate.  His bear roared at him to fix it, to do something, to say something to make it all better, to make her love them.
He just couldn’t give her what she needed... not yet anyway.

“Okay.”  She mumbled before leaving him staring after her.

Chapter Six

28
th
September

Mac found herself in the same place as she was two weeks ago.
Bar Luna
.

Again at the insistence of her brother Adam.  This time it was him who was trying to impress his prospective mate
Rosalee.  She was a little uneasy at the possibility of seeing Andy again but she couldn’t let Adam down.  Not only was he her Alpha but he was her brother.  She wanted to see him happy.
And also wanted him to stop tom-catting around town.
No doubt about it, he was a male slut.

She had invited Luke to come with her, but had been thoroughly relieved to find out he already had plans with a few of his friends.  He had offered to break
those plans but she insisted he didn’t.
Now he couldn’t fault her for not asking, but thankfully he wasn’t coming with her.

Needing to work off some excess energy she had set out early so she could walk to the bar.  If need be she was sure she could scrounge a lift back home from a pack mate.

Courage little wolf
.  She breathed deeply and pushed open the door.

“Hey Rosalee!”  Mac called out and walked over to
her brother and Rosalee.  “Nice to see you again, you still bustin’ my brother’s balls?”  She forced herself to appear like her normal jovial self.
Truthfully it was killing her
.

Adam growled at her.  While Rosalee asked, “would I do that?”

“No Luke tonight?”  Rumbled Adam eyeing her speculatively.

Mac flinched.  “No, we’re just friends you know.”  Did he think they were dating?  Did other people think they were dating?
Oh god, did Andy?

Mac tingled as her body became aware of just who was stood behind her.

“Drink Mac?”  Andy’s deep bass voice rolled through her, sending jolts to her womb.

She turned toward him, his eyes hungrily devoured her.  She shivered.  “Yes, please... a beer please.”

They continued to stare at each other, arousal flooding the room.  Adam growled lowly and they snapped out of their reveries.

Mac turned back to
her brother with a sigh and the three of them chatted, pretending that everything was normal. Mac was pleased when Ed the red wolf shifter joined them.  Although he lived in Alexandria he had been seen in Rose a few times over the past fortnight.  Always close to Kim...

Adam tensed as a pretty red head came into the bar.  Adam mumbled “I need to talk to you” to Rosalee before dragging her into the back office.

Ed, Kim and Mac exchanged surprised glances before shrugging.  Ed and Kim huddled together talking and flirting.  Mac really wanted no part of that.

She broke away from them and sat
on a stool surveying the other customers.

“No Luke tonight?”  Asked an aggressive yet pleasing voice in her ear.

“No Esther tonight?”  She countered, feeling more than a little put out by his attitude.

“Can we talk?”  He blurted.

She turned back to face him.  “What about?”  She asked cautiously.

He lowered his voice to a whisper.  “I’m just... I’m not happy about this situation...”

Mac sucked in a breath between her teeth.  “That’s hardly my fault is it?”

His face was pinched in frustration.  “Are you dating that wolf Luke?”

Her heart wanted to scream no, yet there was a devilishly stubborn part of her that didn’t want to let him off the hook so easily.  “What would it matter if I was?”

“You don’t
belong to him...”  He ground out, the veins in his neck tensed.

“Technically I don’t belong to anyone...”  She spat at him.

Andy’s jaw ticked and his eyes turned black.
Black when he was both horny and angry apparently
.  “Have you fucked him?”

She stared at him.  He was suffering knowing that she was his mate and he couldn’t be with her.  But why couldn’t he?  The only real obstacle to them being together was him, so if he cared so much why didn’t he do something about it?

Her wolf was whining at her pitifully.  As upset as she was at the situation she couldn’t stand to see him get hurt... well not too hurt anyway.  She swallowed.  “No... well not since I found out you were my... but before then yes... he was... he was my first boyfriend... he was my first...”  She blushed.
That had been the wrong thing to say.  She needed to work on shutting up a couple of sentences sooner.

Andy’s nostrils flared as his beast roared.  He felt relief that she hadn’t been with anyone else since they met, but
felt an irrational jealousy for all the men she had been with before they met.  He knew it was dumb but he couldn’t help himself.
No one but him should be with her
.

Annoyance was flowing from her in waves.  He was saved from making a further ass of himself by some customers, Melody the witch and Hans the wolf.  Currently engaging in their own argument.

After serving them he swiftly returned to Mac.  She hadn’t moved a muscle.  He tried to think of something to say
.  I love you, please bond with me, never leave me, be with me forever...
those were just a few of the options rattling around his mind.
Probably best to keep his mouth shut.

Hans then let out a
n almighty roar as Melody threw her drink over him.  Quick as a flash Andy leapt over the bar to restrain the aggravated wolf.  Mac felt a thrill of excitement course through her at seeing her mate in action.  Her sex fluttered.
No bad wolf!  Stop that!

Gabe ran off to fetch Adam
, she assumed, as Melody and Hans continued to argue and struggle, with Hans’ brother Acksel, the pack’s Chief Enforcer trying to restrain Melody.

Honestly Mac was too caught up in watching Andy in action to care.  She felt her panties moisten as her beast panted for their mate.

Adam soon came back to the bar and brought both Hans and Melody to heel.  Melody left the bar as quickly as possible and after a serious rebuke from Adam so did Hans.

After the tension of the fight a number of wolves were feeling a little riled up and decided to shift and go for a run
.  Mac feeling a little overly stimulated said a quick goodbye to Adam and Rosalee and left too.  Rather than a run her thoughts turned to a nice relaxing bath.

Andy stared after her.  He could smell her heightened desire.  It had been growing since the altercation.
As had his
.

Fuck what if she was leaving to find Luke, to take out her desires on him.
No fucking way could he let that happen!

Hello!  Earth to Andy!  Get me a bear man!”  Called out an obnoxious young wolf called Jimmy.

Andy turned to him and let out an ear-splitting roar.  Everyone in the bar held stock still.

You could hear a pin drop.

Everyone
in town knew he was a bear shifter, knew he was the biggest and strongest one in town in fact.  Yet they had never heard anything like that from the usually passive bartender.

Jimmy backed away from the bar, a look of horror adorning his features.
Andy noticed that his fangs and claws had lengthened.

Kim crept up to him.  “You okay?”  She asked quietly.

“I errr, I’m not feeling too good.”  He said lamely.

She nodded in understanding.  Andy was reliable and hardworking, she didn’t doubt him.  “You take off, I got the place covered.”

“You sure?”  He asked, keen to leave but not wanting to let her down.

“Sure, I’ll get Ed to give me a hand.”  The amazon-like wolf inclined her head towards Ed and winked.  He practically drooled in return.

Andy snorted.  She wasn’t kidding.
The young wolf would probably give her a kidney if she asked
.

“Thanks Kim.”

“No problem, just get well soon okay?”

He nodded and then got out of there as quickly as possible, ignoring the curious glances of the patrons.

*

Mac dug her hands into her pockets as she marched home.  Her body was on fire and she need to do something to quench that heat.
Pronto
.

She was walking at a terrific speed and had already made it onto pack land, into the woods where she lived but the truck caught up with her.
It overtook her and then pulled off into the side of the tracks.

She stopped short
, she sort of recognised it...
Maybe it was just someone who was lost and needed directions
.

She walked round to the cab prepared to be helpful.  Her heart skipped a beat.  It was her very own bear shifter mate.
And apparent stalker too
.

He got out of the truck folding his arms in front of him.

“What are you doing here?”  She asked curtly.

Honestly he wasn’t sure.  He had left the bar with the intention of going home but when he got into his truck he found himself driving towards Mac’s house.  He wasn’t sure what he expected to happen.
He knew what he would like to happen... his animal roared in approval at that thought.

He opened his mouth to speak but stopped himself.  Talking wasn’t getting them anywhere.  Thinking about the situation wasn’t either.

So what was the point?

Her arousal was incredibly potent, the scent washed over him.

Fuck it was glorious!
His already hard shaft began growing hotter and bigger, straining at his jeans.

Her breasts heaved up and down in awareness of his body’s reaction to her, her nipples pushing at the fabric of her t-shirt.

Oh fuck it!

He snatched her and pushed her against the door of the truck pushing his body against hers
, his hands on either side of her caging her in.  She opened her mouth to protest and he descended on her, sweeping her up into a fiery kiss.

She made a few feeble attempts to struggle under his all encompassing embrace before surrendering to him.
His tongue mercilessly sought hers as he moved his arms to wrap them around her heated body.

Her own arms snaked round him, surprising both o
f them when she sought his butt, pulling him tightly against her.  His engorged manhood pressed into her stomach.

She moaned excitedly and he growled lustily in return.
She pulled herself up his body, wrapping her legs around his hips and her arms round his shoulders.

Their sexes rubbed together, separated only by a few wisps of cloth.

Their intermingled heat almost starting a fire.
She ground against him and he pulled his head back to roar his need.

Her
perfect lips were swollen from their almost savage kisses, her face already flushed from their passionate encounter.   She sought his neck, the mark she had placed there before already healed.  She licked and placed blunt kisses up and down the same place.  Her wolf was dancing around in glee.

He fiercely pushed her back against the truck, resting her weight against it so his hands were delightfully free.
He’d never been so forward, his bear was howling in approval.

He wasted no time in searching under her t-shirt, seeking her pert breasts.
He kneaded them, pinching her nipples, making them even more sensitive.  She groaned as she felt herself become even wetter.

The feel of her soft skin under hi
s calloused hands was heavenly but he wanted more, he wanted to taste them.

He looked arou
nd wildly.  The sun hadn’t set completely, they weren’t hidden by the blanket of night.  His beast yowled in annoyance.

He wanted to take her somewhere nice, treat her better than last time but... no he couldn’t wait.
He yanked his hands from her breasts and she mewled at the loss.

Using one hand to steady her he frantically pulled at the truck door with the other.
Awkwardly he moved them inside so she was straddling his lap.  It was a tight fit but they didn’t care, they were too caught up in their passion to care if a tornado hit at that moment.

She fumbled with his belt and zipper until his shaft sprang free.
She encircled him with her hands, rapidly stroking him.  She gasped as he grew in her hands.  Her eyes turned to amber as her anticipation sky rocketed.

He groaned
impatiently.  He flicked his claws out and sliced through her clothes, the tatters limply hanging off her luscious body.
There really was no room for her to take them off and no way was he letting her out of his clutches.

She moaned her approval.  She was already so turned on she didn’t want anything to stop her from seeking her release.

His mouth sought her breasts suckling and nipping one then the other whilst his hand sought her heat.  He dipped a finger into her slick core, marvelling at how wet she was.  He added another two fingers and she cried out as she came, her body tightening around him.
