The three of them followed the lake until it eventually

“You’re the one that decided to drink all of your water thirty minutes after we

“Can I help?” Alana said which really surprised Richard.

“You’re not going to let us wait on you hand and foot
today?”

If Richard wasn’t her stepfather’s friend, she would have
held up the middle finger at him. She sat down next to her sister and composed
herself. “You two seem to think that I’m some airhead. I got to show you how

pole and handed it to Alana. He went into his tent and searched for a fisher’s

“I hope you don’t mind taking turns using the pole and the

Elaina shook her head and smiled.

Richard grinned and walked alongside Elaina as Alana ran towards the lake.
Wanting to take this time while Alana wasn’t paying attention, he turned
towards Elaina.

“What were you two talking about before?”

Elaina looked up at Richard and grinned. “Oh nothing just

Richard frowned. Elaina was holding something back from him
and he didn’t like it. When Elaina bent down to pick up some of the bait that
