Professor Kitner was a strong speaker and active in LGBT affairs.

He updated the group on various activities that we could participate in, on- and off-campus, as well as a larger, national picture of gay rights and same-sex marriage. He was very devoted and I admired that. I jotted down some information and meeting times that he suggested. He made me want to get involved.

Professor Kitner ended the meeting and thanked us for coming. I was glad that I went and I was excited to tell Mom about it. I called Wesley to let him know I was done and waited in front of the building.

The weather was steadily growing colder and it was getting dark earlier and earlier.

“Hey. You need a ride?” Josh asked, stepping beside me.

“No! Um, no, thank you,” I said, feeling my heart race.

Josh stepped closer to me and he turned his eyes to the side. I stepped back a little and hoped that I could send Josh on his way before Wesley showed up.

“Look, I’m sorry about the other day. I really didn’t know you had a boyfriend.”

“Oh, that's okay,” I interrupted. Talking about it made it seem all the more embarrassing. I stared at the cement and shifted my weight from foot to foot.

“I just hope I didn’t get you in trouble or anything. ’Cause your man seems….”

“Really, it’s okay. We worked it out,” I said and giggled awkwardly. I hoped Wesley would hurry up or take a long time; I couldn’t decide which.

“Well, that’s good for you, but bad for me, I guess,” Josh said, staring at the ground. “You know, I really like you, Toren. Is there any chance for me at all?” He looked at me earnestly and I felt a slight pain in the pit of my stomach.

“I’m…I’m sorry,” I whispered, unsure of what else to say.

Josh sighed and looked up at the dim horizon. He scratched the back of his head and smiled. “Oh well,” he said and patted me hard on the back.

Wesley pulled up and my stomach dropped. I stepped forward but he was already out of the car.

“Hey, Tor. You ready?” He came around the car and stepped between Josh and me.

“Um, bye,” I said, letting Wesley guide me to the car.

“Bye, Toren. See you next week,” Josh said, waving and smiling.

He stepped closer to Wesley and narrowed his eyes. “Better keep your eye on him. Toren deserves better, you know,” he whispered, close to Wesley’s ear, but loud enough that I could hear.

“What the hell did you just say?” Wesley shouted, turning quickly.

“What can I do? He’s just too tempting,” Josh said with a smirk and waved over his shoulder.

I watched him walk away and Wesley ran around to the driver’s side. He slammed the door and gripped the steering wheel, gritting his teeth. I looked at Wesley and bit my lip. I didn’t quite know what to say or do.

“Who the fuck does he think he is?” Wesley seethed.

“Wesley.”

“Stay the hell away from him,” Wesley ordered, glaring at me with furrowed brows.

“Wesley, I can’t, exactly. He’s my lab partner.”

“Then get a new one.”

“I can’t do that now. But, it doesn’t matter anyway.”

“Like hell it doesn’t.”

“No. It doesn’t. You're the only one I want. You know that and I know that and I told Josh that. So, take me home and I’ll prove it,” I said, smiling faintly. I was trying really hard to be sexy.

“You might have to prove it a couple times,” Wesley growled, still angry about Josh, but then he grinned and drove home as fast as he could.

“HI honey, I’m home! Take your pants off!” Wesley announced. He kissed my cheek as he passed me and put his lunch container in the sink.

“Heh. Welcome home. How was work?” He smelled like auto grease, sweat, and deodorant, a scent that was distinctly his.

“It was work.” He stepped behind me and slid his arms around my waist. “How about you? Did you have a good day?” He nuzzled his chin against my neck and shoulder. His prickly stubble tickled my skin.

“Yeah, it was kinda slow though,” I answered, slicing through a tomato and dicing it into small cubes.

“So, are you gonna take your pants off?”

I set the knife down on the cutting board and looked at Wesley sideways. “You know, your foreplay has gotten really lazy.”

“I'm sorry,” Wesley whispered, kissing my neck. “Please take your pants off?” His hands waited at the zipper of my jeans. He pressed his hips against my back and I felt him against my rear. He breathed heavily and I turned around in his arms.

“But, aren’t you hungry?”

“Uh-huh. But, sex now, food later,” he said, kissing me deeply and unzipping my pants.

“Wait! Wesley!” I protested halfheartedly since he already had his hand down the front of my boxers. My cheeks burned and I covered my mouth with my hand. “Not…not in here.”

Wesley yanked my jeans down and took me in his hands. He stroked tenderly and my resistance melted. “But we’ve never done it in the kitchen,” he said with a grin. “And besides, you already got pre-cum.”

My body relaxed and then tensed up as he traced the head and the shaft with his agile tongue. He moved his hands around back and expertly tickled the sensitive flesh with his nimble fingers. I clenched my teeth and squeezed my eyes shut, feeling my orgasm course through my entire body.

I was overwhelmed and my knees buckled, but Wesley caught me against the counter. He looked in my eyes and smiled softly, kissing me lightly then deeply. He lowered his pants and tickled the solid shaft. I knelt down, licking enough to lubricate, then stood up and stepped out of my jeans and boxers.

Wesley slid his hands around the back of my thighs and pulled me into him, hard against his stomach. “Up you go,” he whispered and lifted me up against the counter. I grasped the edge to keep my balance and Wesley stepped between my knees and pulled me forward to the edge of the counter. “Open your legs a little more,” he said quietly and I obeyed, lifting my knees and wrapping my ankles around his waist.

He looked at me, straight in my eyes, and then pressed his way in.

He always looked directly in my eyes just as was going to enter me and that expression was the sexiest I had ever seen. I liked making love with him face-to-face, just to see that look, even though it sometimes caused me hip and back strain. I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him closer, feeling his heat imprint inside me like a furnace.

He rocked his hips and I gasped with each thrust, taking him as deep as I could. He leaned forward and kissed me, taking me in his hand and rubbing the tip with his palm. I moaned and cried out, but Wesley quieted me with kisses. As he neared crisis, he closed his eyes and gritted his teeth.

“Wes…ley, I’m gonna….”

“It’s okay. I gotta wash these anyway,” he grunted, as he pushed into me to the root.

My back arched reflexively and I came hard on the front of his shirt. The milky white contrasted with the dark blue and I blushed down to my toes, feeling strangely embarrassed. Wesley came moments later, erupting inside me, pulling me close and hugging me tight.

When he withdrew, I felt loose and damp. I slid off the counter and Wesley caught me in his arms. He kissed me once, then again, and whispered, “I love you.”

“I’m gonna go change. Why don’t you clean up and I’ll finish making dinner,” he suggested, slapping my backside.

I nodded and went to the bathroom to wash up. Wesley flipped an omelet in the pan when I came back. He scooped it out of the skillet and gave it to me on a plate. I toasted some bread and we sat down on the sofa to eat and watch TV.

“Oh yeah, I almost forgot. Jeremy’s having a Halloween party next Saturday. His folks are going out of town, so he’s gonna have some people over,” Wesley said, setting his empty plate down on the coffee table.

“That sounds like fun,” I said, taking the last bite of my omelet. It was really good; Wesley always said that he couldn’t cook, but he was really good at making breakfast foods. He wanted to get a charcoal grill because he said he could grill anything, but we didn’t have the extra money yet.

“But there’s a catch: he won’t let us in unless we dress up.”

I knew Wesley wasn’t the type to dress up for Halloween, but I thought it would be fun. I had to think of a costume for him that he wouldn’t object to. “Have you thought about what you wanna be?” I asked with a grin, secretly enjoying his discomfiture.

“No, but I thought about what I want you to be.” I knew the look on his face too well. “Two words: French maid.”

“One word: veto,” I answered, rolling my eyes and shaking my head. I folded my arms on my chest resolutely.

“But, come on! You would look so good!”

“No chance. If you want a French maid so much, you dress up as one!”

“But I don’t have the legs for it.”

“And I do?” I argued. “Or have you forgotten that I’m a guy too?”

“That’s what would make it so hot!”

I sighed and looked at Wesley right in his eyes. He knew he was defeated, but he was still trying. I closed my eyes and resigned myself to the fact that my boyfriend was a pervert. He was lucky he was so cute.

“No. No no no. But, how about this? You can be a dog and I’ll be your master. You can get ears and a tail and those slippers that look like paws, oh, and a collar and leash. Then you just follow me around and obey my every command,” I suggested, figuring that I should get him back for the French maid idea. But he actually seemed to be considering it.

“You be a cat and I’ll be a dog,” he offered, looking at me with a smile at the corner of his lips. I thought about dressing up like a pirate or Dracula, but this wasn’t so bad; it might be fun. “You know, Catwoman; Halle Berry or Michelle Pfeiffer, I'll let you pick.”

I looked at Wesley and pinched his cheeks hard. “Why do you always have to go there? You’re such a pervert!”

“I was just kidding!” Wesley moaned, batting my hands away and rubbing his cheeks. “Ow.”

“You deserve it, you big dummy.”

“All right. We’ll go as a cat and dog and you can be any cat you want,” he conceded, threading his hand around my shoulder. “You can be whatever you want as long as you’re with me.”

I WORE a black turtleneck, blue jeans, and black slippers that looked like paws. I had a long, black tail pinned to the back of my pants and black cat ears glued to a headband. I painted the tip of my nose black and drew four whiskers on both my cheeks. Wesley told me that I looked adorable, but I felt kinda silly.

Wesley, on the other hand, looked so cute. He had brown dog ears, a brown tail, and brown dog-paw slippers. He wore blue jeans, a brown long-sleeve shirt, and a red collar. I tried to persuade him into wearing a leash, but he wouldn’t go for it. After much argument, he finally let me paint his nose and draw whiskers.

“Hi! Come on in,” Jeremy said, opening the door wide. He had a patch over one eye, a black hat with a skull and crossbones, and a red and white striped shirt. He looked pretty cute too, with thick stubble covering his chin, and he even had a silver-painted plastic sword at his waist.

“Hey, Captain,” Wesley said and held up a case of beer. Jeremy nodded and told him there was room in the fridge.

“What’s up, Toren?” Jeremy smiled and patted my back. Wesley took the six-pack of beer that I was carrying and disappeared into the kitchen. “I’m so glad you guys could make it.”

“Thanks. I’m glad we could come. Um, we had some leftover candy from last night, so I thought I’d bring it over,” I said, holding up a 194

plastic tub of mini candy bars. “We didn’t get as many trick-or-treaters as I thought we would.”

“Cool. Thanks,” he said and took the tub that I offered.

He closed the door behind me and I looked around the large house.

There were about ten people already there, some that I recognized from high school but didn’t know. Jeremy walked toward the kitchen and Alycia came running out, the fringe of her costume flapping with her movements.

“Hi, Toren! Oh my God, you look so cute!” I could tell by the pitch of her voice that she was already drunk. I laughed and looked her over.
