"No problem. Hey, do you want to grab some dinner with me? I'm starving, and it's about dinnertime." I pray deep down that she would agree.

"Landon, you're super sweet, but I don't think that would be a good idea. Besides, you need to meet Preston." She opens her door.

"I can meet with him later. I need to eat before the party anyway, and you need to eat too. Come on, my treat."

"I can't, Landon. I'm sorry, maybe another time when Preston can come too." Once she is sitting in her car, I step closer, preventing her door from closing.

"Okay. I get it. You don't want to be alone with me."

"It's not that. Landon, you're great, but if you're trying to ask me out, it isn't going to happen. You’re one of Preston's friends, and I'm a little old for you to want to hang out with."

"Maybe another time." I back away and close her door. I won't give up that easily. Once she starts her car and is able to pull away, I nod my head while walking backwards through the parking lot, before turning and jogging away.

**

The party is in full swing when I get there.  I don't plan on staying long because I have an exam later in the week I need to study for. I only show because I told Preston that I would. I spot him immediately; he has a red cup in one hand and his arm around some girl. The closer I get, I notice that she's pretty enough. "Hey, man," I holler over the loud ass music.

"Hey. This is Sadie." He nods to the chick. She smiles as she snakes her arms around Preston.

"Hey." I nod at her. "I'll be back. I'm going to go get a beer," I holler before walking away to the keg in the kitchen.

Once I fill a cup and make my way back to Preston, he has another chick with him and Sadie. "Hey, this is Sydney. It's Sadie best friend."

I nod at Sydney. "Hey." She's cute, her hair is short and blond, and she has a decent amount of make up on. She's wearing a short jean shirt and a top that shows her pierced belly button.

"Hi," she says back while checking me out as I did her. "You want to dance?" She sways a little, and I don't think that she's on her first beer.

Preston winks at me. "Sure." I follow her out to the area where they have moved furniture around to make space to dance. We start dancing, but before I know it, she is grinding her ass against my dick. My one hand is on her hip while my other is holding my cup. I quickly down what is left before it gets hot.

"Let me get you another." She takes off toward the kitchen, returning seconds later with two fresh beers.

"Thanks." She takes a big gulp of hers as she shimmies up against me. We dance for another song before heading back into the kitchen for a refill. After standing there uncomfortably with her with nothing to say, I decide it's time to leave. "I should head out. It was nice meeting you."

"What's your hurry? It's still early." She gulps, not sips, her beer as she sways toward me.

"I think you've had enough." I take her cup from her.

"Fuck you."  She grabs it back before stomping away.

I holler out to her, but she continues through to the other room. I watch as she tells her friend and Preston something, and they both look over at me. I nod my head toward the door to indicate I'm leaving. Preston walks over to me."What's up?"

"I need to head back, I got some test I need to study for."

"That's cool. Did you like her?" Preston is obviously trying to set me up with her.

"She's alright. I pissed her off. She's drunk off her ass."

"She's always fucking drunk at these parties. But she puts out, if you know what I mean."

"I'm not interested in that, especially if she's been around. I'm going to head out. I'll catch you tomorrow at practice." Preston nods as he makes his way back over to Sadie and a very pissed off Sydney.

Chapter 3 Brooklyn

I get home after the game and change into my bikini to hang out at the pool awhile. I still can't believe that Landon tried to ask me out.  I jump into the pool and swim around for a while. It's already dark and getting late. The small lights that I have all throughout the back yard and pool area are shining. I consider calling Dan, but change my mind as soon as the thought pops into my head. He's nice but starting to get a little clingy. I thought about calling Devin, who I met through a friend while in college, but reconsider that too. Maybe I'm doomed to be alone. I hear a rumble of a truck out front, so I pull myself out of the water and tie my sarong around me as I walk through the house. Just before I get to the door, someone knocks. I open it to a very handsome Landon. He's wearing a pair of faded jeans that is hanging off his hips and a tight blue shirt.  He's smiling at me. "Are you drunk?"

"No, I had a couple beers. Can I come in?"

"Yeah." I open the door wider to allow him to pass. "Where's Preston?"

"At the party. I will forewarn you, he's got himself a new girlfriend. Now they're trying to set me up with her best friend." He rolls his eyes.

"That's great. You two can double date." I walk back into the kitchen to get him a water to sober him up even if he's not completely drunk. He follows me in. "Here, drink this." I hand it to him, and he drinks it all in one take. "What are doing here?"

"I don't know. I thought about asking Preston to come too, but he was too invested in Sadie. You want to watch a movie?" I just stare at him while he stares at me. It's then that I realize that I'm still in my bikini.

"A movie? Uh....Sure, let me go change. Pick out what you want to watch." I go upstairs, leaving him to pick a movie of his liking. I change into a pair of shorts and a tank top. Once I get back into the living room, previews are already on, and he's sitting there looking a little nervous. "Hey." I sit on the opposite end of the couch from him.

"Hey. I put in Transformers. Is that okay?"

"Yeah, Preston and I love that movie." I tuck my legs up under me and settle in for the movie. I know he looks over several times throughout the movie at me, but I just stay facing the television. Near the end of the movie, I glance over, and Landon is slumped down with his head back, snoring. I smile. He's so tired from the game and the party. I don't understand why he came here instead of his own place. I get up, turning off the television, grab a throw from the hall closet, and cover him up after lowering him down onto the couch for more comfort.  I head upstairs for bed, but sleep doesn't come immediately because I know that a certain blue-eyed college guy is downstairs, and a part of me wishes he was upstairs with me. I roll my eyes to myself, because I know that it would never happen. After lying in bed for almost an hour, I notice it's pushing one in the morning, so I get up and take a nice warm bath, hoping that it will help relax my over-working hormones.

**

The next morning when I get downstairs, the blanket is folded and the couch is empty. I peek out the window, and his truck is also gone. I guess after he sobered up, he realized what a mistake it was to be here with his friend’s mom.

Later that afternoon, I get a call from Preston, saying that he and Landon are headed over, because they have girls coming over and they're going out. I don't know why he insists on keeping most of his clothes here, but he does, therefore, requiring him to get ready here. Preston doesn't seem to know that Landon was here last night, and I'm not about to mention it.

We are out by the pool, visiting, when the girls show up. "It's Sadie, Mom." He runs to get the door. I'm introduced. The girls look so sweet. Landon really didn't seem to want to go, I can tell that much. I don't understand his problem, Sydney is cute.

About an hour after the boys leave, Dan shows up. I had ended up texting him what time to stop by. I told him to park down the road at Lacy's. I don't want anyone to see the company I keep, and Lacy doesn't care.  I had just gotten out of the shower. I answered the door in my knee-length silk robe.

"You're so sexy." He grabs me and lifts. I wrap my legs around him as he struggles to climb the stairs. It's been a while, and I'm horny as hell. I don't know if that's the reason, or if it's Landon that has me like this, but Dan will have to do.

"I can walk," I tell him halfway up.

"I got this." He huffs. I laugh.

He lays me down on the bed. His hands open up my robe. He starts to rub my breasts. He's not the best lover, but he can get the job I'm needing help with done. I open my legs, inviting him in. "Come on, Dan, we don't have all night. Get naked." He quickly undresses. He doesn't have the best body, but it'll work. I hook my legs behind his ass, pulling him closer.  I toss a condom at him. He quickly rolls it down and soon begins moving inside me. I meet him thrust for thrust. I push him over onto his back and follow with him, so I'm straddling him as I continue to thrust against him. I reach between us to rub against myself. It's been so long that I feel myself start to clinch around him as I release with our last thrust. I collapse against his chest, and he pants in my neck. We lie there a while until our breathing slows.

"That was amazing." He plays with my hair. It was alright, I guess, I got my pent up need released.

"Yeah, but you need to go soon. The boys should be back any time. I'm sorry." I get up, grabbing a pair of clean panties and a t-shirt. I toss his clothes to him.

At about ten, I hear the front door close. "Mom, we're home," Preston yells.

"Shit, hide in the bathroom." I push him in, closing the door and running to the bed, climbing in. I pull the blanket up and grab my book as if I've been reading.

"I'm upstairs," I say. They both come barging in my room. Luckily I'm under the covers. "Have fun tonight?" I look from one to another.

"It was great." Preston smiles.

"It was alright." Landon looks away.

"Whatever, man, I heard you behind us." Preston shoves Landon. He cuts his eyes over to me, looking embarrassed.

"What happened?" I ask. "Do I need to have a sex talk with ya'll?" I continue to look from one to another, with a smirk on my face.

"I think Landon almost got lucky," Preston says.

"Shut up, man." Landon looks pissed. I'm beginning to think that Landon may be a virgin if he's this embarrassed.

"Landon, it's ok, just be sure you're prepared. You both have condoms, right?" I ask them.

He looks away, embarrassed. "Yeah. I have condoms," he says as he walks out of the room.

After he walks out, I look at Preston. "Don't embarrass him. Do you have condoms? I'm not encouraging it, but if it happens, I want you to be prepared."

"I know, Mom. I have a couple condoms," he says, wagging his eyebrows.

"Get out of here," I say, throwing a pillow at him. He laughs. "Tell Landon to come here." He leaves. A few minutes later, Landon walks in and stops at the door.

"Brooklyn?" he says, looking down.

"Don't be embarrassed. If you want to talk, you can talk to me." I pat the side of the bed. He walks over and sits.

"She just touched me and wanted me to touch her." He looks up at me. "I don't want to talk to you about this."

"Okay. How did you feel?" I ask him.

"It felt good," he said, standing back up. "But I wanted it to be someone else," he says, backing up toward the door.
