“Take the mother down, my winged assassins.” The three demons in the air have lizard-like bodies and wings that sprout from their backs. Their arms are long and slender with three long sharp talons at the ends of them, same goes with their feet. Their heads are like that of a land lizard with rows of sharp teeth. They attack Gwithen, landing on each side of her body and one in front. They latch on her, digging their claws deep into her, and begin to bite her. The weight of the demons drops Gwithen to the ground, and she catches the demon that landed on her neck with her powerful jaws by the neck and bites through it with all her rage, and the demon falls limp and dead, vanishing. “My demons on the ground, attack.” The three demons on the ground that are humanoid in shape with long tails and horns on their heads charge at Gwithen, and the barbed spears they have shoot like arrows from the tips of their spears, penetrating deep into Gwithen’s flesh, and she cries in pain. The arrows they shoot are tethered to the spears, and this tether pulls them fast onto Gwithen, and they begin to claw her and stab her with their deadly pointed tails. Gwithen fights with the demons rolling on them, biting them, and the demons are drawing blood and causing painful gashes and stab wounds all over her. Zevoncour floats onto the back of the Doliath, the enormous demon that rose first into Gwithen’s lair. He sits on its neck, knowing the draglets are helpless at this point, and he has planned for this. “Doliath, take out the young.” Doliath looks at the young and opens his mouth wide. Gwithen looks at the demon in fear, yelling no as Doliath takes a step back and explodes, incinerating flames and heat in the form of Hellfire from his mouth, heading right for the draglets. Vegenrage appears right in front of the draglets in a crouched position, pointing his hands at the Hellfire, and evaporates the flames before they reach him. Doliath is extremely powerful and continues with the flames like he does not have to breathe, and the Hellfire continues. Vegenrage sighs loudly, cringing his face, fighting back the Hellfire. Zevoncour reads from the
Wogenkeld
, and the Hellfire gets stronger and stronger. It is getting closer to Vegenrage, and he pulls his hands back, thrusting them forward again, fighting off the stronger Hellfire. Gwithen gets renewed strength and rises her head in the air, saying “Demons of …” One of the spear-wielding demons shoots its barbed arrows through the bottom jaw of Gwithen and up through her top jaw, and a second demon does the same. They then pull down on the tethered arrows, closing her mouth before she can cast her spell.

Blethstole flies into the lair from high above, and he sees Vegenrage protecting his young. He then notices Gwithen’s bloodied body with demons biting and clawing her and streaks through the air to her rescue. He lands on one of the winged demons now feeding on the left side of Gwithen and bites it in the neck, violently thrusting his head back and forth, breaking its neck and biting the head right off. He then casts a spell of Ice Arrows that he shoots from his mouth like a breath attack, and this devastates the demons. He looks over the back of Gwithen at the last winged demon and breathes point-blank down on it, and the ice arrows shred their way through it, cutting and ripping it apart. The ice arrows are so strong and cold that the arrows go right through the demons and stick in the ground, covered red in demon blood. He continues his attack, facing his head at the three demons holding spears, and very quickly, they are shredded into bloody gore like they have been put in a blender. The tethers holding Gwithen’s mouth closed vanish, and she can begin to heal her bloodied body.

“Blethstole, Vegenrage is protecting our young. Help him save our young.”

“Gwithen, how badly are you hurt?”

“Don’t worry about me. Get that demon with the book. He is the power allowing the demons to walk our realm.”

“I will help you first. All dragons need you. You must be at your full strength. Take my power and heal.” Blethstole bites Gwithen on the neck with his massive jaws, and Gwithen sucks his magical strength into her body, healing herself at a much quicker rate. This leaves Blethstole defenseless and his back to Zevoncour who takes full advantage of this very short moment. Vegenrage sees Zevoncour reading from the book and turning to face Blethstole, and he uses his right arm and hand, throwing a force spell just behind Blethstole while blocking the Hellfire with his left hand. He does this just in time to block the Hell Forks spell that Zevoncour has thrown at Blethstole’s back. Zevoncour shoots from his right hand multiple pitchforks with two pointed ends like the end of a fishhook, very sharp and very deadly. They are heading right for the back of Blethstole and hit the force spell Vegenrage has cast and are deflected to the ground where they melt the earth and vanish. Zevencour does not let up and shoots pitchfork after pitchfork. Vegenrage has to use a lot of his energy to maintain both spells, and Zevoncour commands Doliath to breathe his Hellfire with all his might to take out the human. Doliath responds, stomping the ground, getting good footing as he breathes stronger Hellfire at Vegenrage. Doliath seems to be breathing in through his nostrils but maintains a constant stream of Hellfire, continuously focused on Vegenrage. Vegenrage is losing ground being pushed back into the protective shell, protecting Gwithen’s draglets. He still has one hand shooting a constant force spell, protecting Blethstole from the pitchforks being cast by Zevoncour. Gwithen starts to radiate bright white light from her body as she heals and becomes stronger from Blethstole’s magic. Zevoncour finally stops his spell, and Vegenrage can concentrate with both hands fighting off the Hellfire, but he has now been pushed into the shell, protecting the draglets. Zevoncour calls for a second Doliath to rise from the earth, and it begins to rise from under the trees, displacing them and turning them over.

“Gwithen, I cannot hold off the Hellfire any longer. Get your young out of here.”

Gwithen looks to see Vegenrage backed against her protective shell with the Hellfire just feet from incinerating him, and he has sweat dripping off him from the heat. “Blethstole, save our young. I have this demon.” Blethstole jumps high into the air with three powerful flaps of his wing and magic, raising him high in the air. He then falls streamlining his body like a missile right at the Doliath shooting Hellfire at Vegenrage and his young. Doliath does not notice Blethstole shooting right for him, but Zevoncour does, and he flies away from his demon just in time as Blethstole casts his Ice Arrows, and this is amazing. Doliath is so big, and Blethstole’s spell is so powerful that the ice arrows fly into him, tearing right into his flesh and disappearing after a rush of steam rises from the ice, melting inside the huge demon. The ice arrows impact with sharp accuracy, slicing its flesh and splattering demon blood everywhere. Blethstole targets his spell from the bottom of its neck on its left side all the way along its back to its hind legs. Blethstole breathes his spell from his mouth with great accuracy, and the arrows melt before exiting the other side of the Doliath, but its flesh and bone on the entire left side of its body are basically pulverized and just barely held together. This finally halts the Hellfire that is only inches away from Vegenrage. Blethstole continues his dive bomb with the most serious and focused look, and you know violence of the worst kind is about to happen. Blethstole flies like a targeted missile right into the left side of the Doliath, not slowing at all. The Doliath turns its head to face Blethstole just as Blethstole makes impact, and he flies, extending his one wing just before making impact. Blethstole flies right through the Doliath, cutting it in half and exploding its remains all over the place. Blethstole is able to swoop upward with the gory remains, turning his black body to a red dripped dragon silhouette soaring into the air. He twirls and shakes, freeing himself of all the gory demon remains on him. The second Doliath walks toward Gwithen and unleashes its physical attack. The Doliaths have that long fleshy tongue that they shoot from their mouth with a sticky end, pulling prey back into their mouth, but at the end of their tongue is a barbed hook that pops out and grabs the prey as well. Not only that, but they have four other barbed hooks in their mouth as well, one in each back corner of their mouth, and they shoot these barbed hooks attached to long tongues as well, making five hooked tongues that they shoot at prey and pull back to their mouth. If the prey is too large to fit in their mouth like Gwithen, it does not matter. Their mouth is so strong and powerful that they just bite and chomp, crushing bone, muscle, scale, skin, and anything. They have no teeth, just nearly unbreakable solid bone, and they do not chew. They swallow their food whole. Zevoncour watches with a smile on his face as the five hooks shoot from its mouth and are going to impact Gwithen. Blethstole circles from high up to head down toward Zevoncour, who turns to Blethstole with a sinister laugh.

“Are you going to go for me, dragon, or are you going to save your soon-to-be-dead white mare?”

Blethstole looks to see Gwithen jump in the air. She extends her wings as wide as she can, and the hooked tongues of Doliath make their mark, striking Gwithen in the center of her belly with the four outer hooked tongues striking just below each of her four legs. They immediately pull her toward its mouth, and Blethstole yells “Gwithen!” Gwithen grows to twice the size of her normal size, and the Doliath pulls her to its mouth, biting a huge chunk of scale and flesh from her belly. Gwithen slaps her front leg claws deep into the flesh of the Doliath’s back and bites a huge chunk of flesh from its back. The demon shoots its hooked tongues into Gwithen again, pulling her in and biting another huge chunk of flesh from her belly, and she bites, ripping flesh from its back furiously. The center tongue shoots into the wound on her belly and draws in more flesh for the Doliath to bite off. Blethstole can see this is very painful for Gwithen and dives right at the Doliath. Zevoncour reads from the book and shoots Hell Hooks at Vegenrage, who is still breathing heavily, recovering from expending so much energy in the past few minutes. He is still in front of the draglets, protecting them. Zevoncour laughs, putting the
Wogenkeld
in the beltline of his pants, holding it securely in place. His eight fingers and two thumbs grow like ropes with barbed, searing-hot hooks at the end of the bloody red tendonlike ropes that stay connected to his fingers and thumbs. They grow out in a circle, surrounding Vegenrage, and then shoot right at him. Vegenrage shoots Ice Bullets from his fingertips and thumbs at the hooks, and the two negate each other on impact. Once a hook is hit with an Ice Bullet, both spells vanish, and this is very cool-looking. As soon as a hook has been destroyed, another immediately shoots from the finger or thumb of the destroyed Hell Hook. Blethstole shoots another ice spell at the Doliath battling Gwithen, only this time, he shoots a sheet of sharp ice at the hindquarter of the demon. He actually shoots four sheets of sharp ice at the Doliath, and his accuracy is perfect. They hit just above the hind legs of the demon, cutting and severing its hind legs off. He then lands on the back of the Doliath and he and Gwithen rip the demon apart with their jaws and claws until it loses its life and disintegrates. The dragons look to see Vegenrage shooting all the Hell Hooks when behind him appears Zenondour and punches Vegenrage in the back of his head, and the hooks make their mark, hooking the unconscious Vegenrage. The dragons watch as Zevoncour flies off with his quarry and vanishes. They immediately fly right at Zenondour, who is very close to their young, and before he can cause the young any harm, the adult dragons are on him, and he vanishes as well. Gwithen floats down to the ground with Blethstole close by and releases her young, and they crawl to her. She inspects them as does Blethstole, which is extremely rare, but even a male dragon does not kill his own young when they are this young.

“They are okay. They will be okay. I cannot believe my eyes. Was that human protecting our young? Why?”

“I met with Vlianth not too long ago, and I asked if he would protect our young when the time came, and he vowed to help me and my young if we were in danger, and he kept true to his word.”

“You met with Vlianth and did not tell anyone?”

“He protected our young and may very well of given his life to do so. If I can prevent his death, I will do so.”

“The demon surely took him to the inner realm. We cannot go there.”

“No, he did not go to the inner realm. It is possible for the living to enter the inner realm by means of a Well to Hell, but a demon cannot take a living being there. They can only take the souls of the dead. He has to have taken Vlianth to some point on the outer realm.”

“But where would he have taken him?”

“I know where they have taken him.”

CHAPTER 30
Vlianth Is Vegenrage, Vlanthis Is Vollenbeln

The party of twelve survivors makes its way back from Vollenbeln to Erkensharie. They are led by Oriapow through a Dimension Door to the Mystical Erkens, and Oriapow is very surprised to see only Illith is here, and he is concentrating very hard. Oriapow knows something is not right, and his senses warn him that there is great danger in the courtyard.

Illith, what is happening? I feel great danger in our courtyard.”

“Yes, Oriapow, it is Vemenomous. He has come, and he has come with great power. He has the combined strength of dragon and demon, with the ability of casting magic without speaking that he gained by rising from Vegenrage. He is destroying our home, and all the elves, except those protecting King Ulegwahn, and the Great Erken are battling him now in the courtyard. I am here drawing as much strength as I can from the Mystical Erkens to share with the magical order trying to hold Vemenomous in the courtyard.”

“I will go to the courtyard and protect our home with all the magical strength I have.”

“Wait, Oriapow, I will come too.”

“We all will come, Logantrance.”

Hold on, everyone. Wait one moment.” Logantrance pulls from his Bag of Holding a blanket. They rest Farrah on the ground, and Logantrance places the blanket over her.

“What is this blanket you are putting over Farrah?”

“Glimtron, this is a Blanket of Sleeping. This will prevent Farrah from waking in case someone or something tries to wake and call her to them. Glimtron, you and the dwarves must stay here and protect Farrah. You cannot let her leave, and no one can get to her. This whole thing may be a diversion just to get Farrah.”

“Illith, you stay here and help protect Farrah with Glimtron and his dwarves.”

“Yes, Oriapow, and I will also aid our magical order in whatever way I can from here.”

The dwarves remain in the Mystical Erkens and the others teleport to the courtyard. They arrive to see Vemenomous shooting lightning bolts and fireballs at the surrounding trees giving cover to the elves, and trees all around are on fire. The elves are launching barrage after barrage of arrows at Vemenomous, but they are deflected away from him by some sort of barrier. Those warriors that have dared attack Vemenomous with swords have been killed. Vemenomous has been targeting the magical order, sending his most powerful magic at them, and now that Oriapow and the party have arrived, Vemenomous starts to laugh.

“Finally, most of the magic-using races of man are here. Now let your true test begin.” Vemenomous bends at his knees until his hands reach the ground, and he rests them on the ground, palms facing up. He stands, quickly raising his fists above his head, and falls to his knees, slamming his fists into the ground. This sends out and expulsion wave and catches everyone circling him in a time phase. The trees are blown back and almost uprooted, and all the flames are extinguished like they have been exhausted of oxygen. Everyone flies backward, unable to do a thing except follow in their path, until the spell has finished over thirty minutes later. Vemenomous walks toward the Mystical Erkens, and he laughs as he walks there. “My queen, I am coming for you. Come to me. I call for you. Our time has come to rule the Maglical System together.” Vemenomous can sense Farrah, and he is sending her telepathic images, but he is getting no response, and this surprises him. He knows she is near, and his magic is powerful enough to call her to him. He heads toward her presence, a little concerned, as he continues to call for her. The blanket put over Farrah is keeping her asleep. Vemenomous had cast a powerful charm spell on Farrah in Vollenbeln, and now he cannot waken her, thanks to the blanket put over her by Logantrance.

“Glimtron, Vemenomous is coming this way. Our defenses have been cast aside. We are all that stands between Vemenomous and Farrah.”

“Blythgrin, can you and the Dagi cast your elementals to help battle Vemenomous?”

“No, Glimtron, we cannot. Without the Sapphirewell, we do not have the magical strength to maintain them. What we can do is teleport us out of here.”

“Illith, I do not know that we will survive a fight with Vemenomous if there are no elves for you to help at this point. Maybe we should move out of here.”

“Yes, Glimtron, you and the dwarves move Farrah to a safe place. I must go to the Great Erken and protect my king. In order for you to teleport out of here, I must lower the magical shield around the Mystical Erkens, or it will hold you inside. Are you all ready?”

“Hold on, Illith.” The Dagi and the dwarves surround Farrah. “Okay, Illith, we are ready.” Illith casts a spell, releasing the protective shield around the Mystical Erkens, and the second he does, Farrah starts to shake. The blanket covering her goes up in flames, and the dwarves are set back on their heels.

“Farrah, Farrah, are you okay?”

Farrah grabs her head. “No, no, this is not happening again. Glimtron, Blythgrin, help me. He is coming for me.”

“We know, Farrah. We are going to get you out of here right now. Blythgrin, come on. Let us get out of here right now.”

“Good luck to you all. I must go to the Great Erken now.”

“Thank you, Illith. We will be seeing you again.”

Illith turns and is getting ready to teleport when a red spear flies through the trees and lances him through the lower back left rib cage and exits out his front lower abdomen. Illith is raised into the air, and the loud thumps of Vemenomous’s feet are heard as he walks into view. The spear is drawn back to Vemenomous’s left hand, and he holds Illith up high. Illith cannot teleport away with the spear through his body, and Vemenomous grabs his head with his right hand and pulls his head off. He swipes the spear at the ground, and Illith’s body flies to the ground where he lay headless and dead. Rifter draws his bow and starts launching arrows that penetrate and leave painful wounds to Vemenomous. Rifter’s aim is true, and he is leaving holes in Vemenomous’s chest. Vemenomous swings his right hand at Rifter, and he is thrown through the trees and out of sight. Silgeqwee and Krimzill charge Vemenomous fearlessly and hack at his legs with their Fireod swords, leaving a deep wound on him. Glimtron aims right at the heart of Vemenomous and shoots Glimtronian, leaving a hole right through his chest and back. Vemenomous falls back, holding his chest with his right hand, swatting Silgeqwee and Krimzill with his left hand, sending them flying through the trees out of sight.

“Blythgrin, now you and the Dagi get Farrah out of here.”

“You are coming with us. We will not leave our king.”

Grenlew and Trybill stand Farrah up, holding each of her arms. Farrah lowers her head with a straight brow, looking dead serious straight ahead as her eyes turn solid bloodred. She slaps her arms together, slamming Grenlew and Trybill together. They fall to the ground dazed, and Farrah hits Glimtron in the back with a sleep spell, and he falls asleep. Farrah then walks toward Vemenomous.

“Farrah, no. Farrah, what are you doing?”

Farrah walks to Vemenomous, and he grabs her with his bloody right hand. The second he grabs her, her eyes return to their normal shade of brown, and she looks to Blythgrin, crying. “Blythgrin, what did I do? I did not mean to. Blythgrin, I am so sorry. Help me. Please help me.”

Vemenomous turns and walks away, and Blythgrin can see Farrah reaching her arms for his help, and she is yelling “Vollenbeln, Vollenbeln!” Before Blythgrin can react, Vemenomous disappears with Farrah.

All the dragons have heard the call from Blethstole to meet at his lair on Mirrimya Mountain. He has sent telepathic communication for all the dragons to hear. He has a special surprise for them. Gwithen, the white mare, will be there as well as their young. Dribrillianth and all the dragons at the lair of Quailrain head through Dimension Doors to Mirrimya Mountain. Dribrillianth and Quailrain bring their young with them as well. Gannream and all the dragons at his and Mezzmaglinggla’s lair start to head through Dimension Doors as well, but before Razcour travels, he hears messages in his head.
Razcour, come. It is your time.
Razcour, come. You have been the chosen dragon to lead you race.
Razcour, come to my call.
Razcour hears this over and over, and none of the dragons listen to him as he tries to get their attention.
Razcour, come. There is no time to waste. Come if you want to avenge your brothers and lead the dragons past this new threat.
All the dragons have now traveled dimensionally, except for Mezzmaglinggla, who waits for Razcour to magically travel.

“Razcour, what are you waiting for? Come on, let us go to Mirrimya.”

“Mother, I have been chosen to lead the dragons past Vemenomous. I am being spoken to by a higher power. I have the telepathy sent to me by Blethstole, and I can see his home on Mirrimya. I will be there soon. I have to go and see what is calling for me.”

“Razcour, no. This is not a higher power for the good of the dragons.” Mezzmaglinggla is too late as her young passes through a Dimension Door. Razcour appears in Vollenbeln, and he is greeted by Cormygle and Xanorax as well as Zevoncour, Zenondour, Ulore, and Vemenomous. Farrah is standing by Vemenomous, and Vegenrage is lying on a bed of beautiful green emerald and sparkling blue sapphire, just like the one he was in when Vemenomous rose from his body, only this time, half the bed is blue, and the other half is green. All the trees have been burned to the ground, and Vegenrage’s home is flat with a metallic floor, and the bed of jewel he lies in is in the center of the metallic floor. There is a podium with the
Wogenkeld
lying on it, just behind the bed of jewel, and Zevoncour stands in front of the podium. Razcour is surrounded by the most intimidating circumstances he could have imagined. All the evil here starts to laugh at Razcour. Vemenomous walks up to Razcour, who cowers, knowing he is simply overwhelmed by powerful forces. Vemenomous pats Razcour on the head and steps on his neck, holding him to the ground under his foot.

“Young dragon, so impressionable, so eager to avenge his brothers, and now you will lead at least one of the last three surviving female dragons to us here and her end.”

“You are sure this will work, Vemenomous? We need to kill all the dragons in order for your new race of Demonion Dragons to prosper.”

“Well, I am quite sure at least Mezzmaglinggla will show, and we will take her out no problem, and then Zevoncour, we can find the other dragons all huddled in one place, trying to hold on to what life they have left. Do not harm this young one yet, we will use him as bait, and once Mezzmaglinggla shows up, we will destroy her and then her young.” Razcour swallows for all to hear, and they laugh at him, all except for Cormygle, who was not aware of this plan, and he looks around with a concerned look. Mezzmaglinggla is Cormygle’s mother and the only dragon that ever looked out for him and protected him. From out of the air, Mezzmaglinggla appears through a Dimension Door. She has followed Razcour. A mother dragon can follow the presence of their young almost anywhere. Mezzmaglinggla lands a good distance from the demons and notices very quickly the new form her young Cormygle has taken.

“So it is true, Cormygle. You have studied demonology and taken to the path of evil. I tried to do all I could for you, my son, but it was never enough. You could never let go of your hate, and now it has come to this. You have sided against what you are instead of embracing the magnificent being you were born to be. Have you nothing to say to me?” Cormygle says nothing.

Vemenomous looks to Zevoncour, who is standing at the podium. “Zevoncour, it is time.”

Zevoncour reads from the
Wogenkeld
, and his three leading demons spread out.

“Vlianth is Vegenrage, Vlanthis is Vollenbeln. It is the blood and flesh of Vlianth on the ground of Vlanthis to begin the Demonian Dragon rein. The blood of the female dragon that spawned Cormygle, the first demon infused dragon, and the blood of Vlianth shall be spilled into the bed of jewel where Vlianth lays. Vemenomous and the human female of tainted mind shall feed on Vlianth. The Demonian Dragon couple will rise, and the savior of the Maglical System shall fall. The Rubywell will be created and the heart of Fargloin broken. The ultimate jewel of power shall be held by the demon master of the Maglical System, and the demon uprising shall begin. The races of man will be powerless, and the demons will walk the outer realms. Demonion Dragons and demons will rule supreme. Once the magical words are read from the
Wogenkeld
by the demon master of the Maglical System, the process will begin.”

“Are you ready, Zevoncour?”

“Yes, capture the female dragon and bring her to the bed.” The demons and Vemenomous simultaneously cast a spell that captures Mezzmaglinggla in a magical net, and they draw her toward the bed. Mezzmaglinggla charges at Vemenomous, stumbling due to the net snaring her legs, but she raises her head and unleashes her Breath of Brassissust. This is a cloud of brass-colored silt that suffocates any caught in the cloud. The fine brass particles clog the nose and mouth and fill in holes, such as the ears, and blind the victims. This cloud also has great erosive effects, sanding away flesh from victims. Vemenomous is immune to this attack as is Razcour, but she hopes this will disorientate Vemenomous enough to free Razcour, and it does. Vemenomous covers Farrah with his wings and body to protect her from the breath attack that will surely kill her. Razcour takes to flight and flies over his mother, covering her in flames that he magically breathes, and this evaporates the magical net covering his mother. Mezzmaglinggla leaps into the air, and Razcour follows her as they fly up.

“Razcour, follow me. We are getting out of here.” Mezzmaglinggla tries to cast a Dimension Door, but it does not appear, and they cannot travel dimensionally.

Zevoncour laughs. “Oh, did I forget to tell you, dragon? You can travel here, but you cannot leave magically. I have sealed all travel from this realm until the union of the Demonian Dragons is complete. Vemenomous stands, extending his wings out, and a lot of brass dust is thrown into the air away from Farrah. He turns to look at the dragons in the air, and he runs at them, jumping into the air and flying right for Mezzmaglinggla. Cormygle starts to get noticeably agitated, and Xanorax tries to calm him. “What is it, Cormygle? What is wrong?”
