“It’s not like that, Rushing. Kacey and I were just talking. I’m not going to let her go with you until you calm down.”
“Like hell you’re not!”
Stepping out to the side, I rolled my eyes and put myself between them, placing my hands on both of their chests. “Guys, this is ridiculous. The last thing we need is to get kicked out of the hotel.” Tyler put his hand on mine and clasped it firmly with his, carefully scrutinizing Paxton’s movements.
Sighing, I turned to Pax and felt Tyler tense underneath my touch. “Pax, I’ll be fine. You have nothing to worry about.”
Finally, he tore his stare away from Tyler and looked down at me. “All right, I’ll go. Just make sure to text me if you need me.”
I nodded in reply and wished like hell I could get them separated. The tension in the room was unbearable and I wouldn’t be able to stand it much longer. Thankfully, Paxton took the higher road and backed down, turning on his heel and marching off. I was afraid to look at Tyler for fear of what I’d see, because now he would know something was up between me and Paxton.
With that tension added on to the Gabriella situation, I’d say this night was going to be one hell of a fight.
Tyler’s hand tightened around mine and before I could say anything he pulled me down the hall toward our room, the energy around him crackling like fire.
“Tyler, slow down,” I ordered hesitantly. His grip on my hand didn’t hurt, but he wasn’t talking and I didn’t like it.
“You said you didn’t want us to get kicked out of the hotel, so I’m taking this to our room.”
My heart sped out of control and my hands began to sweat. I was so nervous my stomach twisted and turned. I didn’t know what was going to happen. I was still angry with him about Gabriella, but now he was angry with me about Paxton. When we got to the room, he had the key out, ready to unlock the door. My mind was set.
I refused to let him win this fight.
AS SOON AS the door slammed shut, I stood firm with my arms crossed over my chest and my head held high.
“What the fuck were you doing with Paxton?” he shouted.
“Don’t you dare turn this around on me, Tyler. I wasn’t the one inviting him into my room with only a towel wrapped around my waist. I’m sorry by the way. I didn’t mean to crash your party by showing up to your fight.”
Closing his eyes, he hung his head and chuckled, only it wasn’t a humorous sound. “Of course, you would see it that way.” Lifting his head, he took a step forward, and I countered by taking one back. “When are you going to realize that I want you, and only you?”
I shrugged. “I don’t know. You kind of have a hard time showing it when Gabriella’s around. If this is the way it’s going to be, I don’t think I can handle it, Tyler. It’s not easy seeing you with someone you used to be intimate with.”
When I tried to walk off, he reached for my hand and pulled me close, holding me around the waist. “I understand that, Kacey,” he murmured. “But you need to let me explain. I called Gabriella before the fight, and told her to come to my room after.”
“Why?”
He brought his hand up to my face and brushed his thumb across my lips, making me tremble. “Because I knew with her being in my life, it would only cause problems between us. I told her she was my past, and that you were my future. I choose you.”
He closed the distance between us and I melted against him, wrapping my arms around his neck and pulling him in tighter. His lips were warm, his tongue hot and demanding as he tasted me . . . claiming me. However, all too soon he pulled away, holding me in place with his hands on my face, his look hard.
“Now that you know about Gabriella, I think it’s time you tell me about Paxton. You two know each other, don’t you? The way he spoke to you isn’t the way he usually is with the females.”
Swallowing hard, I took a deep breath and let it out slowly. His jaw tensed and he let his hands slip away from my face and crossed them over his chest, waiting while I bit my lip nervously.
“Yes, we know each other,” I confessed. “Paxton and I grew up together. We’re friends.”
“Friends?” Tyler scoffed. “Let me guess, he was your high school love?” He said it sarcastically, but when all I did was stand there and not answer him, his glare turned from amused to complete stone. “You have
got
to be fucking kidding me.”
Reluctantly, I slowly nodded and hung my head. “It was a long time ago, Tyler.”
“Did you fuck him?” he growled.
I nodded again and kept my eyes on the floor. “Yes, I was seventeen years old at the time. He was different back then.”
“So, basically you’re a hypocrite. I told one of my good friends today that it would be best if we didn’t speak anymore to spare your feelings, but yet I find you in the same situation.”
Abruptly, I lifted my head and snarled. “I am not a hypocrite. Tonight was the first time I’d seen Pax in over a year. It’s not like you and Gabriella, who had a thing just a month ago. Pax and I stopped seeing each other once he started fighting. That was
years
ago, Tyler, not just a mere few weeks.”
“Whatever the situation is, I don’t like him touching you. The Paxton you knew back then can’t be the same guy he is now. He’s bad news, Kacey. I don’t want you mixed up in that,” he argued.
Sighing, I walked away and leaned up against the door, peering out the glass-pained patio door that led to our private pool. “He’s not like that anymore,” I snapped, glaring at his reflection in the window. “You may not believe it, but I know Paxton. Of all people, you should know that it’s possible to change. If not, then why am I even here? You should be out fucking your whores.”
If anything I said pissed him off, it was definitely my last retort. Angrily, he stalked toward me and turned me around, caging me in by slamming his hands on the wall. His body pressed up against mine and I could feel the hardness between his legs bulging in his jeans.
“He may be a changed man and your friend, but I honestly don’t give a fuck,” he growled, his lips only a breath away. “What I care about is you. I don’t like him touching you and I sure as hell don’t like the fact that he’s been inside of you. If he so much as steps over the line, I will put his ass down. You’re mine, Kacey . . . remember that.”
His chest rose and fell with his angry breaths, but the second I touched his face everything calmed. Gently, I kissed his lips and smiled. “Does that mean this is mine?” I asked, running my hand over his arousal and squeezing it.
“You better fucking believe it is,” he grunted, pushing into my hand.
Unbuttoning his jeans, I bit my lip and shoved my hand inside. Wrapping my hand around his bare cock, I moaned when I felt how hard he was for me. His eyes rolled back in his head and he groaned, closing his eyes when I started massaging him.
“Be prepared,” he bit out through clenched teeth, “it’s not going to be slow and easy tonight.”
“Who said I wanted it easy?” I countered. “I’m ready to see what you got, Rushing.”
Without another word, Tyler lifted me in his arms and I wrapped my legs around his waist as he carried me into the bedroom. I squealed when he slammed me down on the mattress and covered me with his body, his hands roughly massaging my breasts.
Groaning, I arched my back and he squeezed harder, pinching my nipples through my shirt. I wanted him inside of me, but when I tried to unbutton my jeans, Tyler snatched my wrists and pulled my arms up over my head, locking me in place.
He shook his head at me. “No touch. I’m going to be the one to take off your clothes.”
Slowly, he pulled me up by my wrists and lifted my shirt over my head, exposing my black lace bra. The deep rumble of satisfaction in his chest vibrated all the way down to my center, driving me completely insane. He smoothed his hands down over my breasts to my stomach and then to my back where he unclasped my bra and threw it across the room. His stare was heated and dark with need, primal and raw.
I trembled.
“I’m not scaring you, am I?”
Shaking my head, I glided my hands up his chest to his face and ran my fingers through his soft, blond hair. “No,” I breathed, biting my lip. “I’m just ready for that cock of yours.”
A small smile splayed across his lips and it grew larger as he slowly lowered his mouth to my neck. His teeth grazed along my skin, sucking and biting, making me gasp when he bit down too hard. I was going to have marks on my body, but I didn’t care. I fucking loved it. He wanted to mark me. He trailed his lips even lower and I cried out even louder when he closed his lips over my nipple and bit down, sucking as hard as he could.
“Oh, Tyler,” I groaned breathlessly.
As he was sucking and kissing his way along my breasts, he unbuttoned his jeans and slid the zipper down, his cock hard and ready against my thigh. I immediately grabbed a hold of him and squeezed, starting out slow with my pumps but then doing it harder and faster, enjoying the strangled moan that escaped his lips.
“Fuck,” he growled low, snatching my wrist.
He pulled my hand away and ripped my jeans apart, his eyes wild and dangerous. When he said he wasn’t going to go slow, I believed him. There was nothing slow or gentle about him tonight. The adrenaline from the fight and the confrontation with Paxton left him feral, untamed, and I had to admit I looked forward to him taking control.
Savagely, he gripped the waistband of my jeans and yanked them down along with my black lace underwear, tossing them over the side of the bed. His breaths came out in deep low growls as he stared at my naked body, gliding his hands up my legs and spreading me wide when he reached my thighs.
I ran my hand over my breast, down my stomach and to the V between my legs. His eyes followed the movement like a tiger waiting to pounce. Making one swipe with my fingers, I presented the wetness to him. “I’m waiting,” I taunted.
Tyler’s nostrils flared. Then he lifted up on his knees with a singular focus, his pants halfway down his thighs and his hard cock jutting out, taunting me. He looked at me with half-lidded eyes and lifted my bottom off the bed. Without any warning, he plunged deep into me with one thrust. Fully seated, balls against my ass, a loud growl ripped from his lips. He wasted no time, pulling out and thrusting hard over and over again.
The pain was sweet and I’d never felt so full in all my life. I’m pretty sure I came with the first thrust, but I couldn’t be bothered with that now. Locking my legs around his body, I held on for dear life.
Just when I thought it couldn’t get any better, he grabbed my arms and flopped backward, bringing me to riding position in under a second. Straddling his waist, I didn’t waste a single moment. Guiding his hands to my ass, I used his chest as leverage and rode him hard and fast.
His fingers dug into me and he groaned, slamming his head into the pillows. The insides of my thighs were drenched with my need for him. I slid up and down his body easily, enjoying the feel of him getting harder with each thrust.
“I’m going to come, beautiful,” he growled through clenched teeth.
That’s what I wanted to hear, but I wasn’t expecting what he did next. He quickly wrapped his arms around my waist and flipped me onto my back, burying me into the mattress. Bringing my legs up, he held them to either side of me, pushing down behind each knee. Holding me in place, he pounded into me, slamming his hips against my thighs with untamed force.
I knew he was close when his breaths came out in deep pants as he looked down at me. “You’re so tight,” he groaned.
I was more than ready. Digging my nails into his back, I bit my lip as the tightness slowly began to spread inside. “Harder,” I moaned.
He did as I requested and almost immediately I felt the warmth of his release filling me up as I rode wave after wave of my own climax, my body frozen until the last remnants of my orgasm subsided. Breathing hard, he let go of my legs and laid on top of me. Sweaty skin sliding against each other, he kissed me gently on the lips and then slowly pulled out of me, keeping his stormy gray eyes on mine.
The tension was gone, but I knew he wasn’t done with me. The night wasn’t over.
After brushing the damp hair off of my forehead, he held my face in his hands. “Thank you for coming to my fight tonight. I didn’t want to leave you, but I knew you needed your rest. I was worried about you.”
