His words further excited her as he stroked in and out
of her. She felt
so
full as he filled her.  He
was on his knees behind her and she could feel him rubbing her butt while he
moved.

“Did I mention how much I love your ass?” he asked

She didn’t even respond to that as he kept pushing her
higher, stretching her impossibly.

He moved over her, and began kissing and nipping at
her neck.  “Does it feel good Alaina, my cock sliding into you from
behind?”

“Yes, you lunatic, you know it
does
,”
she panted.

He laughed at her response. “Good, do you want me to
fuck you faster or slower or harder?”

“Harder,” she gasped, “Fuck me harder.”

“Harder?” he said as he continued to move slow and
teasingly. “Okay I can do that.  Do you want me to play with your clit
while I fuck you hard?”

His erotic words and teasing were driving her to some
unknown brink. “Yes, play with my clit while you fuck me hard! Do I have to say
everything?”

He stopped moving. “Baby, I just need to make sure you
get what you want.  It’s the only way I know to make you happy.” His low
voice as it vibrated tickling her ear.

He began stroking in and out of her hard and rubbing
her clit, just as she had asked.

He stayed lodged inside her as he pulled her back up
against him.  They were both standing on their knees while he continued to
stroke her from behind.  She leaned back being partially supported by his
lap.  The position was so intimate whole her body was pressed against
every inch of him.  He was lodged tight and deep within her.  His
fingers returned to her sensitive nub and he rubbed in a circular movement
while he continued pounding in an upward thrust.  Alaina was so lost in
sensation she was beyond thinking. She could just feel Donovan.  His chest
pressed against her back, his hand pressed between her legs, his hard length moving
in and out of her.   She threw her head back resting it on his
shoulder and reveled in Donovan’s possession.

He had slowed his pace to draw out their pleasure, but
he didn’t think he could hold back much longer.  He began to move
furiously, but pacing himself to ensure she came again.  He let the
sensations of moving in and out of her moist heat
consume
him.  He was aware of nothing else, but her body and his joined
together.   They were covered in a film of perspiration, and their
breathing was heavy.  He felt the muscles of her vagina clench and heard
the deep guttural groan that erupted from her body as she reached another
climax.  Donovan let himself go with a roar and pounded even harder as he
came, emptying his balls into her warm sheath.  They both collapsed on the
bed trying to catch their breath.

Alaina lay on her stomach with head facing sideways as
Donovan lay sprawled on top of her. She looked at the clock on the night table
and gave a short laugh, “I can’t believe we did that in under 40 minutes,” she
gasped as she tried taking a deep breath. “Uh Donovan, I can’t breathe.”

Donovan laughed and rolled off of her, pulling her
into a classic spoon position, “Platonic doesn’t seem to be working too well
for us.”

“I think you've got that right.  Now what do we
do?” she asked with a sigh.  She felt totally content despite the shadows
they had to face.

“I wish I knew,” he answered as he pulled her closer.

Chapter Fourteen

They were wrapped in each other's arms on the bed,
their clothes strewn carelessly around them, basking in the afterglow of making
love, a luxury they hadn't been able to afford previously.  Lying there
quietly satisfied, replete, there was the unspoken awareness that nothing had
really changed, and they both knew it.  Their relationship was still
presenting a serious ethical breach of conduct for Donovan.  The question
was how were they going to deal with it?

Alaina gave him a wry smile. “I guess we're both bad
at waiting, I mean, it was all we had to do wasn't it, wait for this mess to be
over?”

“Yeah, that's all we had to do and we couldn't handle
it.  Not to mention we still have McAllister to worry about.  If she
catches us, without a doubt she'll report me.” His tone held the self-derision
he was apparently feeling.

“Why do you think that? She didn't the last time.”

“Yeah, but she gave me a serious warning so I’m on
thin ice.”

“Speaking of Lynn, where is she anyway?”

“She went to pick up some groceries for dinner
tonight.  It was her turn to shop after all.” Glancing at his watch he
said, “We had better get dressed, she'll be back soon.  I really hate this
sneaking around behind a fellow agent.”

“Well I'm not crazy about it either.  Besides
she'll probably figure it out like she did the last time.”

He gave her an irritated glance; rising off of the bed
reluctantly he began to get dressed. “Oh that makes me feel so much
better.  I think what you said about me being insane was right.
I must be crazy to carry on like this.  I’ve turned into one of those
idiot guys that think with their dick!”

“Hey, I think I resent that!” She sat up in the bed
laughing, and proceeded to throw a pillow at him.

He caught the pillow, and threw it back at her.
“What's this fetish you have with throwing pillows?”

Alaina shrugged innocently. “I don't know.
There's just something about you that makes me want to throw things at you.” He
lunged for her playfully, landing on top of her, and they ended up sprawled on
the mattress.  She gave him a blank stare, saying dryly, “You know I don't
want to be critical, but I don't think this position is conducive to getting
dressed.”

He kissed her on the lips, quickly jumping up off the
bed. “You're right. I'd better get me and my dick out of here before we’re
having sex again.”

“Don’t you prefer the word fuck?” she asked.

He grinned. “Only when we’re doing it, then it makes
it dirtier and more exciting”

“Huh, I think I am beginning to get that.”

“Baby, there are so many things I want to do with
you.  Unfortunately, I didn’t bring my bag of toys.”

“Holy shit!
You have toys?  What kind of toys.”  She
looked at him slightly shocked.

“Later, when this is over, I promise I’ll give you a
thorough introduction.  I told you I was a bit perverted.” He gave her ass
a quick squeeze and hopped off the bed.

Donovan finished dressing while Alaina watched him
with not a little admiration.  She couldn't help but appreciate his flat
muscular stomach, his broad shoulders, not to mention his very nice and lean
derriere.

Her perusal didn't go unnoticed.  Donovan arched
a brow. “Are you enjoying the show?”

“Would you rather I didn't?” she said completely
unashamed at being caught staring at him.

“You know Ms. Simmons that's a very good point.” He looked
at her sitting naked on the bed, obviously comfortable with her nudity,
appearing extremely sensual with her dark brown hair tousled around her
shoulders. “I really wish we had more time,” he said regretfully.

She sighed, “I realize this hasn’t solved
anything.  We're exactly in the same position we were a couple of days
ago, if you'll excuse the pun.  I need to know when we'll be able to go
forward in this relationship.  I mean if that's what you want.” Suddenly
she felt insecure.  Did Donovan even want a relationship, she thought, or
was she a convenient way to pass the time?

“It's what I want, don't ever doubt it.” He assured
her. The look in his blue eyes was intense, and filled with meaning. “You're
right though, nothing has changed despite what happened here this
afternoon.  We should still try and wait until the OAS members responsible
for the bombing are in jail and you're safe.  I know we've already proven
we're not very good at keeping our hands off of each other, but I'm certainly
going to try a bit harder for your sake more than mine.”

She opened her mouth to object, but he stopped her.
“Listen, I'm more concerned our involvement will cause me to be less effective
at my job of protecting you than with professional ethics.  I don't want
to put you at risk,” as he spoke, Donovan knew the truth of his own words; he
no longer had any doubts about her innocence.  He felt connected to this
woman in a way that he had never felt connected to anyone.  He knew she
wasn't capable of deception, he was certain she was a victim of a father she
barely knew.  Tom Simmons had manipulated and used his daughter's trust in
order to achieve his own objectives.  All that was left for Donovan to do
was to prove her innocence to the Bureau.

Alaina gave him her most serious stare. “There
is one thing you could do to make this easier, Donovan.”

“What's that?”

Her face broke into a broad grin. “Quit jumping
me all the time.”

He returned her grin. “I think you're right, that
might help.” He glanced at his watch. “I'd better get downstairs before
McAllister gets back,” he said before bending down and giving her a lingering
kiss good-bye. “Don't worry we'll get through this together.”

“I know,” she said as she watched him leave her room.

The rest of the day ran smoothly, Lynn gave no
indication she had any suspicions concerning Donovan and Alaina. They in turn
were more relaxed having reached an inner peace about their relationship.

The next day, although it's never supposed to rain in
southern California, it poured forcing the three of them inside.  In an
attempt to relieve the boredom Donovan had rented a couple of DVDs at the
corner store.

Both movies were mindless comedies, and after watching
the first one Alaina turned toward Donovan and said, “I can't believe that you
rented such a stupid movie.  I thought you'd get one of those action spy
thrillers.”

“Nah, I get too much of that at work.”

Lynn grumbled, “I'd rather have watched a spy thriller
than this slapstick stuff you picked out.”

“Why don’t we play euchre again?”  Alaina
suggested

Donovan, looking deeply affronted at this attack on
his choice of films, was just about to defend his movie selection when his
phone rang.  He pulled it out of his shirt pocket, hoping he was going to
hear the news he wanted about the Simmons papers, “Prentice.”

Alaina had her full attention on him eavesdropping as
best she could, hoping to hear that the evidence in the papers had been
found.

After a brief conversation, Donovan hung up the phone,
smiling at both of them he said, “They've got it.  They're going to pick
up the four men on the executive of the OAS associated with the bombings.
According to the Bureau's lawyers, there was a log of all of Tom Simmons
activities, his contacts and who was paying to support his operation.
Everything was clearly funded by the OAS.  It appears your father had
counted on those papers being secure in an archival repository from access.”
Donovan didn't mention that the Bureau hadn't found anything incriminating
against Alaina in the papers.  She of course, didn't even know they were
looking for evidence to indict her.

Alaina was perplexed by her father's actions,
wondering at his motives. “I don't understand why my father thought his records
would be safe from subpoena in an archive, especially when he knew they
contained evidence of criminal activities.”

Lynn appeared confused at Alaina's remark as she
asked, “Didn't you go to court defending your father's right to keep them
closed?”

“Yes I did, but I didn't really believe I had a chance
of winning.  There's no precedence for confidentiality in archival records
or what could be called an `archival privilege,' so winning the case was a long
shot at best.
Although it certainly would have been
exciting to have been involved in the establishment of a new legal precedent.”

Donovan had to admit he was truly amazed at Alaina's
last comment.  He believed up until now, that she had been sure she was
going to win. “You know counselor you could have fooled me, I thought you were
dead set on winning.”

“Don't get me wrong Donovan, I was dead set on
winning, I just didn't think it was likely given the lack of precedent in the
area.  I also had an extreme desire to win after you irritated me so
much.”

Donovan treated her to one of his penetrating stares with
his deep blue eyes. “I don't know whether to be insulted or flattered by that
remark.”

A sly smile appeared on Alaina's face.  “You can
take it any way you want to.” Her face became serious again as she said, “It's
strange, but one of the reasons I was so sure that there couldn't be any
evidence in them was that my father had chosen to store them in an
archive.  Placing incriminating evidence about oneself, even in a private
repository, is just plain stupid.  Why would he do such a thing?”

Donovan had often wondered the same thing himself.
“Maybe he thought the evidence was best hidden in plain sight or maybe he
wanted the OAS executive members to go to jail.  It's hard to guess at
what he was thinking.”
